  1. The Favourite and Roma led the way with 10 nominations each. I think Vice did vey well, Green Book, maybe not so much.

Won't You Be My Neighbor not getting a Best Documentary nomination stings.

Georgetown's hire really seems like a "let's get the fans going rah-rah again about this program" type of hire. Ewing will undoubtedly be able to recruit. We'll see how it works out.

There's a definitely a group of fans that feels that way. There's also a pretty significant group that wanted them to finally break free from the John Thompson influence over the program and in their mind Ewing being hired foes the exact opposite.

That was an ugly championship game and I place most of the blame on the refs.

  3. Yeah that crossed my mind about her being liable for the issues with the boat. The other thing that crossed my mind was that I was kinda hoping Paige would walk over and kick Walter into the water right in front of the shark.

Did anyone else watch CBS' special on MTM tonight?

I watched it. If you're an Oprah Winfrey fan this was for you as a lot of it was as much about Oprah's memories of Mary as it was about Mary. The Dick Van Dyke clip was great, though, as you might expect.

Me TV just started showing Mannix this month. It was because of that I found out that Connors and one of his co-stars, Joseph Campanella, were still alive, into their 90s.

  5. I knew there were no singles released off Sgt. Pepper's, eliminating "With a Little Help..." and leaving "Yellow Submarine " as a pretty obvious answer.

When Alex revealed the category he made a comment about one of the contestants being very happy. If that was Blair, that makes her wager all the more frustrating.

  6. Was that Joe's first talking head segment?

I'm not a father, but I agree with Jay about how Father's Day is viewed compared to other holidays. His bit with the sausages at the end was great.

I too liked seeing the kids hanging out and Claire and Phil enjoying themselves away from the kids. The callback to Claire's inappropriate laughter about death was the highlight of the episode for me, though.

  7. I enjoyed the scene with Johnny writing the song with the girl, and I am getting a kick out of Campbell Scott's send up of the pompous self important actor who thinks every idea he has is the greatest thing ever.

The Ava X stuff is boring me to tears. It's too much of a rehash of Season 1.

I agree that Gigi being around all these people 20 and 30 years older than her is a little hard to buy. Actually, in some ways, I wish they'd drop both ladies and focus on the band of has beens trying for their one last shot.

Regardless of what they do, they need to have more Johnny/Flash scenes. Those are more often than not the best parts of show.

  8. On a show that's had some terrible CGI, those panthers might haven been the worst of them all. I feel like they could have grabbed someone right off the street and they could have done just as good a job.

Sullen Jamie is just as much of a brat as she was before, although for once she did make sense about telling Mitch and Jackson about the latter's father.

Logan is the one selling them out? Yawn.

Hopefully, Dariela's trip lasts a long long time.

  9. Enough already. Farkle speaks for us all.

What's with Smackle flirting with Lucas and Josh in front of Farkle? Are we supposed to find that cute or endearing? All I see is her being a shitty girlfriend.

More Zay please! I feel like that could be written after every episodes in which he appears.
