Adam also teased Emma and Hook going on a romantic adventure together in 6B so I wouldn’t pay attention to any “tease” he offers.

Unless you are a Nielsen viewer nothing you do will have any effect on the ratings.

Honestly, I don’t think Disney cares nearly as much about the show as some think they do. Frozen was the exception, but that was at the height of Frozen’s popularity and the show was still a draw. The show has zero presence in the parks and in the stores. I don’t think Disney is concerned people will get Once’s Belle confused with the Belle from the movie that just made a billion dollars.

It’s pretty amazing. All the grief the show got about being anti-adoption was based on (and definitely perpetuated by Lana) a birth mother apparently storming in and ripping her child away from his doting, loving birth mother. They bent over backwards to change that perception (ignoring the fact that Henry brought Emma back and Emma never wanted custody until she saw how abusive Regina was) and have circled back to being anti-adoption by shaming the birth mother and implying she’s a coward and didn’t love him. Amazing. Middle ground literally doesn’t exist to these writers.

Yes, I understand the ratings are bad. You mention it in every single post. Regardless, this isn’t about burning off episodes. They aren’t airing a new episode the day after Thanksgiving. This isn’t anything new. It happens every single year. The schedule gets wacky this time of year due to awards shows, mid season breaks, etc. The ratings have nothing to do with the two hour episode.

They’ve done this before the week before the Thanksgiving break. In season 4 it was the two hour Snow Queen episode (featuring the brilliant scene where Snow makes Regina feel better about adultery) and season 5 aired Birth and whatever that awful Merida episode was (effectively killing any momentum the show might have gained from the Birth cliffhanger) together.

This is just so unbelievably nasty and unnecessary. I understand that many are upset about this news - I'm one of them - but there is absolutely no reason to take such a personal and unwarranted shot like this. "Personal reasons" encompass a hell of a lot more than having a boyfriend.

I will never understand this idea that exists on the show and in so many corners of fandom that Emma constantly prioritize everybody else ahead of herself. It's completely absurd.
