That formula died years ago for homes in this price range. I haven't paid more than 2% on my home or business listings in over 10 years. 2% was a lot of money in these price ranges. Erica threw away her youth when she married the first hubs and had a kid. A uneducated cocktail waitress, single mom raising a kid on her own isn't much fun. Grew up poor, her ex could of been a dead beat, She might of been struggling. Isn't like she was a college educated young woman who had options for life. And we are talking about the entire world paying royalties. Last I heard the Carpenters were popular NOW in Japan. Think about how many places you walk into that play music. If its a place that makes money, restaurants, health clubs, etc. they are suppose to be paying into funds that pay out royalties. You must not listen to 70's stations, my fav time for music. Prefer these to my own music collections when driving. They dig up some songs I had forgotten about, so I never know what I'll hear. If I'm in the car a few hours, I'll hear Carpenter songs 3 to 4 times a day.

Think Yo is typical of many good looking women who are traveling through life on their looks alone. She probably doesn't need to marry money but likely that is what she'll attract. (His family has stated this, didn't come from an internet website.) A reportedly $750 million made in the last 6 years while he's dead. All from royalties. Stand even stronger by my position that the vast majority of people don't know how royalties work in their detail. Know most here can't stand Foster. He's a creative genius, these people to regular folks are weird. He's had 4 wives, he's got issues. He's not my ex, got enough stuff in my own life, not my business. But his personal life has nothing to do with the reality of how he makes his money which is legit and talent based. Ending this as most of your post is stuff that has been hashed out repeatedly. The Todd's career history is building a restaurant or bar, and its following and then selling it. They've been successful dozens of times in Europe doing this. Sometimes is takes awhile to find the right buyer. Have eaten at Villa Blanca a few times. Have a salad I like. Other Items questionable sometimes.

I work in the music biz in LA and have longer than many are old. Guessing not many here understand how music royalties work. Not sure people understand David Foster has been making millions a year for decades. He's not the Guidices, faking and lying their way into upper middle class. He has a talent, these type people work forever. They love what they do. Its totally different than putting 30 years in at the post office and getting a pension. IF the Fosters have financial issues, it'll all be fine in a few weeks when he gets his quarterly checks from Itunes, Amazon, Other download services, Sound Exchange, Other streaming services, Spotify, BMI, ASCAP, AARC, etc. Never mind the checks he gets from song usage in the TV or Movies. OH and then there is his concerts. (Venues pick up all expenses, even if he uses his own jet.) And his music is played around the WORLD which means more royalty checks. As the writer/producer even if someone sings his songs in another language, he gets paid. And this goes on for decades. He gets paid 24/7 for stuff he created decades ago. Not many businesses work this way. Which is why businesses with IP's (which is what music ownership is.) are so valuable. Richard Carpenter who hasn't done anything since the early 80's, still makes millions a year off the songs he created with Karen. 30+ years ago!

Seriously, Apples and Oranges. Being older I have had several relatives and friends get very ill and die from diseases. Not once had anyone I known show such shallowness about how someone who is obviously ill even utter a word about someone going out without makeup and looking bad. We've been happy we could just enjoy their company. One friend just past recently. Last time I saw her she was in a wheel chair and on oxygen. And no makeup! Thank God we had the time together. Boy am I blessed with great friends.
