  1. I understand the show puts out these titles - but honestly I am a lot more bothered by the lack of apostrophe than I am by, say, Andrew's snood.
  2. Dumb, dumber, and obsessed. So they lose the trust of their alliance, so that crazy weeping Stephen can get rid of Joe's yoga buddy who is not doing much in this game? Poor Jeremy's eyes looked so scared in that tribal. Spencer, I give a free pass as I like him the most. I cannot believe they did that. Plus it was boring as hell. I was looking forward to Ciera going all day, and all day yesterday also, which I got confused with today...
  3. I think biding your time and laying as low as possible and making inroads into existing alliances and listening to people is good stratgey for now - rather than big moves, pyrrhic victories, and painting a larger target on his back.
  4. Having trouble editing the quote... I just wanted to say, maybe not manipulative but he is very strategic to my mind (I say this as a thoroughly unstrategic person). I like him immensely and his staying in this season despite a few close calls is part of what makes me so happy at the end of every episode. But I'm sure he said, last season he was in, that he lay awake all night every night thinking through possibilities and what would happen if xyz happened, and his head was basically just full of strategising so that he barely slept. Anyway, hooray Spencer is still in!
  5. Not everyone can think like a gutter rat. Joe is playing his best game, according to his abilities, and soz if that isn't helping elevate the ones you like. Doesn't mean it's poor game play. It's conservative, that's for sure. Time will tell, I guess, but I have never expected big moves from Joe. I think Spencer and him lying low, move-wise, is the best thing for them, for now.
  6. He seems like a genuinely decent fellow. I hope he stays in a long time as I enjoy watching his enjoyment of the experience.
  7. Oh, dear. My opinion is Ciera is whiny. The footage existed. That is not opinion. But objective truth also exists. We (humans) can most of the time objectively agree that certain emotions are present. Ciera could well have said, gosh darn golly, mom is really going to screw my game! - and delivered it with any number of facial expressions and emotions. Being Ciera, she delivered it in a whiny, cranky, contemptuous and adolescent way. Next you'll be telling me Abi is always sweet as sugar and I am merely projecting my opinion when I note she can be a bit abrasive.
  8. Well, three times, actually. He gave the finger to the challenge after his ball dropped off, also. Kass is only 42, but looks older. It was the thing to do, back in the day, to express anger and defiance. Now I guess you tweet a few expletives or veiled threats. It is a bit immature, as is Ciera's eye-rolling demonstrations. I don't take it very seriously. They're tired and emotional, haven't slept well, are hungry, are no doubt aching all over, and they are also providing some dramatic moments for camera footage in a moment of anger; and in Kass's case, I think, beefing up the drama at tribal council in a WWE way. Woo would never flip the bird, though!
  9. It isn't opinion. I recall the footage. I am sure she loves her mother, etc, but she was distinctly whining, bitching and kvetching in an eye-rolling manner that her mother coming into her existing tribe was going to scotch her chances as she, Ciera, was in her mind such a master of the social game, etc. She's whiny. edit: it's funny how often I spell her name incorrectly - is Cierra the car?
  10. She's good in small doses. I am really enjoying her these last few eps, now that she's been reduced in the edit to bum shots and pithy one-liners. I also always did like the way her eyes twinkle in her confessionals after she's said something particularly bad.
  11. She's a low energy whiny adolescent sort of a woman. Lousy at challenges. Good at bonding with the cool people and dismissing anyone older, in B v W. Why would she be anything much to anyone? I am having a hard time seeing her as this noble and strategic warrior, a sort of second coming to Joan of Arc in the game. She should've filed the information away re Andrew and played a subtler game. Revenge is a dish best served cold, etc. But then I had no high opinion of her at all c/- her previous season's demeanour.
  12. Keith has fine motor skills. He was good in his season on any challenge requiring a delicate touch and balance. I really like the guy. His big innocent eyes and general disinterest in strategizing make him a nice counterbalance. I just enjoy seeing him there, in the background or not, like a bit of colorful wildlife; and I always enjoy his straight-to-the-point THs, so hope we start getting some now the numbers are thinning down and they're all in one spot - but his eyes speak volumes, anyway.
  13. Instead of being the putative bottom of a six person alliance (which periodically blows out to 8 or 9) she made herself the illusory head of a four person, now three person alliance - and a true target. Not wise, in my view.
  14. I was only talking about Ciera. Kelley I would class as the opposite of intemperate.
  15. I very much doubt either of them would've been intemperate enough to get themselves into her position.
  16. He just looks incredibly tired and sad. So sad. I feel for him. I will really miss his bombastic talking heads, and the way he took everything so personally and got so enraged and indignant, and how keenly he wanted to compete with the young bucks, and all of that. It's poignant. Glad he made the jury.
  17. I thought Tasha was very subtle in her work on Angkor. She and Andrew came in to an existing tribe of four and she deftly explored the cracks and massaged the right egos. Lucky for them Abi is a spite-voter. Even Tash seemed amazed they were able to finagle their way into a power position, having arrived as two obvious early boots.
  18. Sadly, she is the annoying girl who can't keep her mouth shut, or put a sock on the adolescent eye rolling. I found her whiny, entitled, arrogant, and rude in her last season. Her mother was a better player than her. Her angry little TH's about her mother ruining her game on B v W are now replaced by these rants about everyone ruining her game because they're not playing her game.
  19. Aw. I was sad to see Andrew Savage go. I will really miss his talking heads, complete with teeth flash. I guess we will see more of Spencer, as they need someone intelligent to narrate the show - so that's good . I was really hoping it would be the whiny Fish, or Jeremy to get the nasty surprise. Don't give a fig about Wentworth or Cierra, but hope they can help keep my favourites in a bit longer. That's about it.
  20. You're so right. Anyway, in my summation of last season Joe was low on strategy, whichever way I look at it. I can't for the life of me recall Tyler at all. Ha.
  21. I think Joe's adorable. But he didn't have to give the entire clue as to the location of the HII to ole Mike from Merica. He turned down opportunities to form other alliances that might have tipped the game a little more his way after the merge, etc; and he seemed to think it best to boot the annoying but strong guy out from his tribe (Vince! bringing the crazy eyes) early on. I was desperately hoping Joe could turn things around after the merge, but he struck me at the time of watching as sadly having no idea re strategy in his season - and I say this as someone who has to be coached intensively on the most basic strategizing in my personal and business life. Strategy is not his strong point, I would say. But the little friendship blossoming with Spencer may work well for both of them. I do hope so, as they are my two favourites.
  22. I think you do need to spell things out, in this instance. Joe is certainly not unintelligent - but he has absolutely no idea when it comes to strategy, as shown conclusively on his own season. He also clearly appreciated the diagram, being a visual type of guy. Spencer could've been slightly less snotty in his TH, I guess.
