There probably wasn't a reason to watch the program before that news anyway

My money is on Patrick Mahomes. It still could be Joe Burrow. Just have to wait until the 2019 Heisman winner gets paid
-
Not *my* favorite team. 😉 Eli Manning 2, Tom Brady 0. Forever. Plus, he was the victim of what made Philadelphia a champion in the USA'S top sport!

UN-Unhappy anniversary! FOURTEEN years ago, my thoughts made thoughts on other dates...no matter that much

It's probably unnecessary for the players to show any interest in the Pro Bowl. I say that since the league could give them more to convince them otherwise, but instead, say "No thanks!" which is their right. I agree with cambridgeguy that they'll never be able to produce more interest. TBH, I'm okay with that. The season is such a grind, and that's as a viewer! It's only going to get worse when they go to 18 games barring something. As a result, I need a break. I probably will take one for 5-7 days. MLB all-star is okay, but more of a blunder than must-see TV. The NHL ASG has improved. The NBA ASW has dropped in terms of interest, but it's still decent as it's post-NFL & before the NCAA Tournament. The game is sorta lame, the celebrity game is just mediocre, but the Saturday stuff 3-pointer & slam dunk is still the highlight. Eventually (and I wouldn't mind it), we'll see the Pro Bowl weekend, Hockey All-Star Weekend, and the NBA all-star weekend fall on the same weekend prior to Super Bowl Week. So if the Pro Bowl sucks, people will have many other options, with the NFL still producing the best numbers

That's why the Dallas Cowboys needing to be a part of championship week would have been nice. On a related note, I've had a lot of takes that have been posted or said elsewhere in advance. So I did my best to voice something that wasn't voiced by anyone elsewhere

One of the reasons why I'm on Team Nobody is that both sides aren't totally innocent. Giselle had to make her sacrifices for TB12, and some honesty helps. Sure they were headed down this path, but way to flip flop Mr. Brady. However, I had a friend that's similar to Tom. Neither cheated nor were abusive. The difference is that my friend ended up divorced due to "not making enough" which people thought was ridiculous. Was it a boatload of money? No, but it was enough to put food on the table & pay bills. Probably for the best. On the other hand, Tom was "earning too much", which meant less time with their family. Though he could earn money elsewhere, he was doing what he loved. As was my friend

Compiler of Super Bowl rings. That's a fact, but at least most people will enjoy their lives doing other stuff in lieu of spending a quarter century of their lives trying (and failing to match TB12). Compiler might not be the best term, but several people did point out/find it funny that Tom's stats in his last past half decade exceeded 1989 first overall pick and first ballot HOF Troy Aikman's totals over a 12-year career
-
Plus, it wasn't an official decision at the time. He was a candidate with Tom Brady to succeed Joe and Troy as Kevin's partner. However, TB12 unretired and there you go. I guess I'd feel bad for the Moose since he or whoever's under him might be out of a job

Unless he's there, I don't think they'll mention it much if at all. Unless Philadelphia is giving Kansas City a Georgia to TCU beatdown. FOX has a 7-hour pregame show. There's more than plenty of time to talk about it
-
50/50 At least he announced it during a down period. BTW, I can't fault him if he bumps Greg from the top team. I'd blame FOX for that call
-
Texans hire one of their former players as their next HC

In ten years, Tyler's Pro Bowl berth will turn into a decent achievement. In 11 years, you'll be people not even taking ONE snap on a roster making it

Looks like Kansas City will have to hope Rihanna's performance is enough to cause a State Farm Power Failure. I don't think the fifteen time AFC West champions are going to "hope" for injuries, but the other thing that might help is if that occurred in a similar way that the 2014 Seahawks got nailed. While I'm leaning Philadelphia, I'm not going to pick the game right away in a similar way I did with the AFC Title game. Too soon to tell; despite the matchup, I still see a way the AFC champs can get it done. I don't think KC's ground game is scary in a way that puts the NFC Champs on notice. While Chris Jones played a great game, KC's defense isn't that scary. Based on past history & trends, I wouldn't be surprised with an NFC rout. I don't know if it'll be 65-7 but I think Kansas City has the experience that teams like Oakland and Denver lacked as a whole. Still way too soon to actually make a final prediction, but another reason why I might not bet a blowout is due to learning of the officiating lineup. If you loved it during the AFC Title game, then you might enjoy it more than the Super Bowl commercials one week from Sunday!

I'm rooting for Gronk to make his field goal!

I recently realized that the NFL could give us our first MVP double in nearly a quarter century. In other words, someone winning the league MVP and the Super Bowl MVP in the same season. It's been a minute; I blame Tom Brady. Editing to reply to bluegirl147 That's fair enough. BTW, I meant to say XLIX (the game with Seattle & New England). Not sure how I put the V instead of the X. Though I had to resend my post several times for some reason
-
I hope you skipped Super Bowl XLIV & LII. No issue with anyone skipping the game. People can do whatever they want. I've hated both teams in the past; I still watched
-
Lamar Jackson is actually older than Stetson Bennett. Still no excuse for the actions, to be honest
-
The spread is out. It's not a pick em. Philadelphia opens as a 1.5 favorite. 49.5 O/U. Not sure that was original; before I could even hit send, it started as Eagles -2 before updating to 1.5. I imagine 49.5 was accurate if not 50.5. The totals are from FanDuel
-
Well, THE New York Giants are the last team standing (5-0 in conference title games)
-
I'm sorry, but I have no problem with Cincinnati losing. Otherwise, I should quit the game. That's a rival. FWIW, I'm rooting for a good game. The NFC one was garbage; the AFC was close but garbage because it included officials

Welcome back to the NFL Bungles!

Kansas City has finally done it! Redemption for Patrick Mahomes as KC finally beats Cincinnati with Burrow. It's Philadelphia vs Kansas City in Super Bowl 57!
-
Whoa. The redemption is one iota away!
-
I'm not sure who I'll root for yet. Maybe no one (for or against) as I'll root for a good game. FWIW, Philadelphia is in a great position. Everybody that's knocked off the Niners went on to win the Super Bowl....except for three teams. Those three teams (Dallas, Washington, and Green Bay) either won the whole thing the year before or the year after. As I post that, I just realized that the entire NFC East beat San Francisco in an NFC Title Game in addition to Green Bay. The League's powerhouses have all conquered a West Coast powerhouse!
