  1. Agreed. It's like an immediate reach for EYE BLEACH...his appearance is like body graffiti...too much and very distracting from whatever he's doing in his professional role. What would propel an individual to appear that way? Can someone please explain it to me?😆
  2. I think of Maggie as one of the "help" where Alec was concerned. I think she had a true bond with Blanca, the housekeeper. I don't think she had ANY POWER IN THAT MARRIAGE. Maggie had already consulted with a divorce atty regarding ending her marriage. Alec is a true sociopath and his behavior over MANY years proves that he subjugated Maggie for many years. Whether his "drug addict" claims were true or not, he was not sharing much of his life with his wife. His son, Paul, was also his victim in more ways than one. Paul's abusive and controlling behavior the night of the boat crash that killed Mallory was indicative of an "entitled" life modelled by his father. Maggie was "out of the loop" along with her ally, Blanca. Alec knew that Paul's upcoming trial was going to reveal his enormous "hidden life" so he didn't "blink an eye" and killed both him and Maggie.
  3. I thought the most interesting new revelations (if you could call it that) were from the housekeeper.
  4. It's always about the $$$$. That's what I believe. I COULDN'T BELIEVE that 20/20 was reviving the Laredo murders case and Dateline was reviving the Murdaugh case. Both these shows (and 48 hrs) are vintage offerings. Been around for DECADES. Maybe the mgt has decided to cut costs by relying on their competitors for material and then producing their own spin on them. They obviously have no respect for their viewers, MANY OF US of very long duration.
  5. I thought the SAME THING! However, I know someone around her age who has a lot of kids (7) and for 2 YRS after her last child was born, she looked "pregnant" even though she wasn't. Perhaps, after so many pregnancies, your belly fat expands to the point where if you don't take stringent diet/exercise measures, it remains full of fat. Eventually, the person I know went on a strict diet because her eldest daughter was going to be 16 and they planned a big party where pictures were sure to be taken. She got down to a size 0 (she's petite so that's a "normal" size for her) and looked FABULOUS for the event. HOWEVER, today, 5 yrs later, her weight ballooned up again, and she's back to "looking pregnant".
  6. It seemed to me that the beard was his form of "performative art." He seemed to relish the "attention" he was sure to receive anywhere he appeared. Maybe being in the military for so many years caused him to "act out" in that way but, to me it was very juvenile. I thought he looked ridiculous. They did seem very compatible and he certainly should be commended for serving his Country for such a long time.
  7. Well, the truth is that Zach has had steady, reliable and continuing income from the show for over 20 years, so on that basis alone it's possible that he had/has a financial plan that would allow them to live off the income of that principal for the rest of their lives...I say "possible". We don't know their position regarding their house (mortgage) but I believe that with the improvements they've made it must be valued at over $1million. So there's that...perhaps Tori could monetize her social medial platforms to the point where you would have to subscribe to see her posts. I see that a LOT of people are doing that on "X" (twitter) and on You Tube. She could become a spokesperson for some of the products she hawks. The more I'm writing this post the more I see that it would be possible for them to survive financially without getting "jobs" and without the show.
  8. Agreed but still wondering how ZiT will make a living without the show. Tori has a massive Instagram following with dozens upon dozens of "sponsors" that she shills merchandise/services for daily. HOWEVER, she's only a "celebrity influencer" because of the show, unless I'm wrong...also, I'm not sure she gets cash from these "partners"...she may be getting mostly free stuff (like trips and other items). Zach is unemployable and Tori is raising 3 special needs children who certainly couldn't tackle full-time employment. So, there's that....
  9. TRUE! My 600 lb Life comes to mind. We never know in advance if there's a new season or not! With that show, the past 2 seasons were extremely disappointing (with very few success stories) so if TLC is cancelling it, few would really care; however, with the Roloff's I thought that the content of each season was OK and there was still some interest in seeing it. However, it, too, seems to be waning in audience interest as the years go on,.
  10. Why would TLC go through the expense of filming a season of the show if they're unsure whether to renew it? It simply doesn't make any sense to me.
  11. Agreed; however, when the interior design woman whom he assisted after her accident, actually VISITED HIS EXTREMELY DILAPIDATED, FILTHY home (an eyesore in the midst of a lovely residential area) it's very odd that her entire opinion of him didn't turn "on a dime." ANYONE who could have lived in such a "hell-hole", REGARDLESS OF HOW BENIGN AND CONGENIAL he may have presented in his work life would have raised an IMMEDIATE RED FLAG with me! Even though he used the pretext to entice her to visit with a planned "remodel" job, it was clear that this was NOT A HEALTHY, "NORMAL" PERSON.
  12. Understood but wouldn't TLC want to justify their pre-production and production costs by bringing more episodes to advertisers for their participation?? Not sure where the show stands in the ratings? Have their # of viewers stayed about the same over the years? Grown? Decreased?
  13. So what I'm understanding is that they shot the full season (as i recall last year was a very abbreviated "season"), BUT they don't know if it will be aired or when it will be aired? I'm going to speculate that TLC wouldn't have gone to the expense of shooting all those episodes without airing them as that would be ridiculous. I mean, it's season 25 so it's not like the show is an unknown quantity. As for mention of Zach's health conditions having to do with his dwarfism, that would lead me to believe that ZiT are still active participants in the show. Also, Tori had numerous Instagram posts last week about Zach competing in a soccer tournament in Argentina. His team lost; however, his participation would indicate that he is capable of a highly physical type of activity so that's a good thing. Of course, that event took place after the season wrapped in August so there's that....
  14. I think that MOST if not ALL of that trip was "comped" to her because she is a social media "influencer" (I believe she has millions of Instagram followers) and heavily advertised where she was staying and the things in the Park they were doing. As far as them spending the $$$ they need to improve the physical health of their children, that seems to be quite another matter entirely. I've asked several times if anyone knows if they are currently filming the show but never received any feedback. I asked because that would have been another channel of payment for their activities. It would also clarify whether they are at the same level of financial "health" as they were for all the years they were receiving TLC $$$.
  15. I seem to recall that when Jackson had his "surgery" a year or so ago and it was obvious that no improvement had been achieved (some may say his condition worsened) they stated it would be YEARS until any improvement might be achieved. They emphasized that Jackson would have to grow taller to have his leg bones straighten. As for Lilah, Tori insists on residing in a state of "denial and delusion" regarding her speech. On her Instagram acct she's constantly highlighting the kids in various videos. When Lilah is involved she converses with her in a normal manner. Lilah responds with some "sounds" or "gibberish" but NOTHING resembling "normal" speech. I thought Lilah being in school full days would involve "speech therapy" but if she is getting professional help it's not apparent. I might add that when Jackson speaks I hear more defined words, but STILL don't understand what he's saying.
  16. Yes, I agree with you. I was surprised and disappointed they didn't reveal exactly where the homes were located in Westchester County. I wonder why they did that??? Thank you! I know all about Tuckahoe because when we moved from the Bronx, N.Y. when I was a kid, we moved to Tuckahoe!!
  17. Agreed! She said she was an acct mgr?? I couldn't make "heads or tails" out of what he said he did for a living? I also didn't need to know her (their) strong feelings about not wanting to get married or have kids.
  18. I noticed the SAME THING....I got the impression that her "brand" of marketing herself on the social scene was based upon her thin figure with very thin legs and HER BELIEF that she was "forever young" (like a fading movie star).☺️ Her hair was absolutely horrible but I bet she didn't think so. They never made ANY REFERENCE to her having a viable career and the home she bought was $600K so maybe she got a great "severance package" from her former husband. Another remark that she made stuck with me: The realtor made mention of the fact that she was living ALONE and she responded (as an aside); "I won't be living alone for long."😄
  19. I noted that and was wondering at the same time whether they are FILMING for the show at this time????
  20. I also live in Phoenix and worked on the defense side in Maricopa County for MANY years (including the years this case was being worked on and tried). I, also don't recall any mention of a "zombie killer" and was basically unaware of the case because I don't rely on the local media for news.
  21. Agreed! Must have been some sort of creative "expression" she waited to access until recently. Have no understanding of why someone would present as she did; however, readily admit "different strokes for different folks." I guess the husband went along with her "creativity."
  22. The thing that interested me about him was the fact that they ID'd his family as being in a SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS (I think hardware or a cleaning service???) in the Town and that he was working in the business. HUHHHH???? His father is (from what I gathered) a wealthy businessman in town and the son and his wife are in such DESPERATE FINANCIAL STRAITS??? How could that be? How could the family not assist the couple with a loan, or salary increase, to alleviate the cash shortfall? It wasn't as if the couple lived an "affluent" lifestyle. I'm not seeing where the financial issues originated. As an aside, I presume that the father PAID for his son's legal defense that must have been very expensive (private attorneys doing trials run up very high bills) and NOW, presumably, dad will be paying for his son's appeal of the conviction. If dad had used a similar amount of $$$ to correct the cash shortfall that apparently led his son to MURDER, it might have been a better use of his resources. Just sayin'.....
  23. I'm unsure what the seemingly congenial husband ever saw in Meg, but I understand that personal tastes vary in whom people choose to marry. He certainly "has his work cut out for him" in trying to live with such a controlling and manipulative person as he selected. She mentioned being an RN in home health care. I think that's a perfect career for her as those who depend on her care at home will likely conform to whatever directives she gives them with little dispute. The house they chose offered a lot of potential for them to do the reno work necessary to make their investment grow. Good Luck to both of them.
  24. Everything you mentioned plus a stylist so perhaps her outfits might evolve from the "cocktail/garden party" circuit into more of a "reporter's" sphere. Her jewelry, also, could use an upgrade/or downgrade.☺️
  25. His Defense Attorney must have been VERY EXPENSIVE! They mentioned throughout the show that he didn't work as his mother left him a LOT of $$$. At the end of the show in kind of an Epilogue, he mentioned that he was "broke." The cost of that trial would have been out of the financial reach of most defendants. Between his EXPERT WITNESS who was pivotal to his case, and billable hours AND TALENT of his lawyer, he probably spent hundreds of thousands of $$$$. He won his freedom, which, chances are, would never have happened if he couldn't bankroll the services of those 2 remarkable women.
