  1. I was thisclose to clicking FF until I saw Eugene. I was hoping there was at least one other Try Guys fan I could share my joy with on here. Add me to the “Gina in little doses” team and this was just too much for me.
  2. Off the top of my head, Flo and the woman who said her boyfriend wasn't someone who finished anything. When he mentioned his military career, she said that, since he was a POW, he didn't finish that either She was but put a tank top over it. Can't say I blame her on that slide.
  3. I want Holt telling Jake "I don't care" and Rosa saying "Who's got the time?" on a continuous loop. I rewound both of those scenes far too many times.
  4. I'm with you on the Hydra connection. I binge-watched AoS to catch up a couple of weeks ago and think the lapel pin and logo is close to some of those pre-Hydra drawings FitzSimmons found. Is Ms. Frost (haha) now zero matter? I love almost every character in this show other than Thompson because he's an ass. When he uncuffed Dottie, I said "I give her 1 minute to take him out". I think it took 2 to allow for his posturing. Great start!!
  5. My mother had us start to watch Roots when it first aired. I was about 7. I kept asking about the plantation down the road where black people owned white people and complaining that it wasn't fair when told that wasn't how things worked. That was followed by a night of nightmares, which put an early end to the experience. I was in my teens before I saw the full mini-series.
  6. Thank you!! I was starting to feel alone in my dislike of Willow and Mark's number. The only thing that saved it from being my least-liked number was Suzanne Somers. Tony in a suit couldn't save that one for me.
  7. I agree with this. My problem with the wrestlers was the continuous whining they did when the scientists didn't tell them exactly what to look for in the square and THEN lying later in the same leg. They are only fine with lying if it benefits them and it wasn't even a lie - just the scientists declining to spoon–feed them the solution. If they hadn't been such babies, I wouldn't be so annoyed with them (at least not with Robbie). The scientists taking the wrestlers at their word AFTER THEY HAD JUST LIED ABOUT THE U-TURN is all on them. I'm glad they're still in the race. Sorry to see the cyclists leave.
  8. I can't totally root against the wrestlers since I now think Robbie is a saint for having to listen to Brooke on a daily basis. He deserves something for that effort. However, I'm not sure how much longer I can take her. If I was a taxi, I would avoid her too. With that caveat, I can say I'm still good with any of the remaining teams winning. Malta is gorgeous. I'll add that to my list.
  9. I still don't hate anyone left but Brooke is getting close for me. She can go ASAP. Her default of whine, panic, rinse & repeat has worn out its welcome. I actually don't care who wins as long as it's not the wrestlers. This is the most teams I've ever liked at the end in Amazing Race history. Hopefully, that's not a sign of the last season. Question on the save pass: What happens on the next leg if the dentists use it? Will the bottom two get eliminated? I don't remember getting the full explanation, which makes me think it goes unused.
  10. We'll have to agree to disagree regarding the "or what" comment. I saw two people pushing each other and only one pulled out the intimidation comment. I wouldn't have cared who it was, I appreciated the comeback. I actually really like Jim (he's intense but it's a race)but several of his comments this week were leaning towards ugly IMO. I would have to watch again but something in the cab made me raise an eyebrow but the comments at the tannery did bother me for the fact that I felt like his comment about Maya's respectful words were said loudly enough for others to hear and rather rudely. I don't watch the extras so I can't speak to that. I do think he appears to have a good relationship with Misti. There were times whe I wanted to yell at her through the TV but he always stays calm with her. It's a nice change from many prior seasons. That alone makes me like him.
  11. Keith got to the box first but Shelly & Nici arrived next without Whitney in sight so mom & daughter should've gotten the clue first if my understanding of the rules is still correct. I think Keith was trying to intimidate them-be it intentional or not-and I laughed when Shelly replied with an "Or what?". I think many people would have backed down at his tone so it was nice when she didn't. I do give Keith props for realizing it's a race so I don't think it was intentional. I still find her daughter extra annoying and neither are my favorites. That would be the scientists and the college sweethearts so I'm glad their getting lost (which both do too frequently for my comfort) didn't penalize them. I also love the cyclists and soul surfers. The dentists are officially annoying. He (and the wrestlers) are heading into "ugly American" territory and that is the 2nd time Misti has messed up a clue due to not paying attention. I still have 4 teams to root for so I'm in good shape.
  12. I believe they were calling the dentists Tooth Fairies.I still don't hate anyone so I'm happy. I love how T&T calls everyone Mr. or Ms. I called the Mr. Viking when we heard about the task. I also love the scientists but was sure they were going to get lost right out of the race. I love how they apply logic to everything.
  13. The guys laughing at the daughter practically peeing in their face was hysterical. It was sad to see so many true fans (practicing running with a backpack was great) face elimination but it is nice to not have a team to loathe. It's early so that could change. I love Phil just popping up at random spots each leg!!
  14. Color me surprised...three numbers I enjoyed. Loved Jacque and Will!! I think that's the most I've enjoyed her all season and was one of my favorite dances. Ricky didn't look like Anya's little brother and I thought he did a nice job. Finally, Zack kept up with Fik-Shun and had a fun number. Me watching Valerie's number with Ricky: "She looks so nice and light on her feet. Good for her." Turn sequence in the middle happens. "And there's the old Valerie". Glad Ricky & Zack are in the finals. Didn't really care which girl made it. I think Ricky will win but I'm off to throw all of my votes in the Zack bucket.
  15. Random Thoughts: Still annoyed because Tanisha is gone. Allison was emoting away during that number to blank-faced Rudy. For someone who is called Scarlett O'Hara, he didn't have one emotion to spare for that number. Trying to get me to believe Allison was pining for Rudy was a useless endeavor. I've seen her hubby remember.... Missed the Hip Hop because I was mesmerized by that ill-placed black widow spot. Agree with previous posters that it was a serious ick. If Jessica was supposed to be a big-city girl, why was she dressed as a schoolmarm. Agree with the recommendation for an all all-star season. I'm glad I know that there will be only one winner. I don't have to waste anymore votes on the ladies. Voting for Zack (who I want to win) and Ricky (who I think will win but he won't make me want to break my TV if he does)
  16. I can't believe I forgot Emilio and Jasmine's number which was also great but I did spend more time than I should have trying to figure out what was up with her pants. I was sad to see Emelio & Zack in the bottom. Bollywood Disco was actually the name of the song which made me laugh. I was glad they didn't mention it. Over the past several seasons, the judges would gush over the all- stars while ignoring the sometimes "hanging on by my fingernails" contestant. I felt that this often allowed some of their favorites to last longer than they should have because people would remember the all-star compliments and forget the actual contestant and how they did. Brandon wasn't the contestant so, unless it impacted the actual person competing (which I didn't think it did here), I think the judges should ignore all-star slips.
  17. That was Nick from the rarely-referenced season 1...and I'm so happy!!Liked the opening number but would have loved it if they were not wearing so many colors. It's a pet peeve but I can't stand that many colors randomly slapped together. Blech!! Dance = 8; Costuming = 4 because I actually liked them if I ignore the colors. I wish they would let Brandon be an all-star for something other than Bollywood, Disco and now Bollywood Disco. That said, his usual sharp movements didn't help Bridget when compared to her much softer ones. Hah!! Mandy Moore's twitter handle is @nopenother. That dance was adorable...especially that last roll. Ricky & Lauren were great. Tanisha and Ryan were amazing! She has quickly become my favorite girl. Jessica is not far behind. Her hip hop with tWitch was my second favorite of the night. My favorite of the night was Zack & Amy. That number was gorgeous and I'm so happy he's safe!!! Curse you America for leaving Zack in the bottom and curse me for not voting last week. He's my favorite guy with Ricky as a close second.
  18. What's that? Bridget is still here? Let's give her Bollywood Disco to make sure she goes next week.....
  19. That dress for the paso was an abomination to fashion. There were at least 5 different patterns in the stockings and sleeves alone. That thing on her head even fell apart. I was so confused when they praised it. Hopefully, Zack will survive it as he's one of my favorites. I like Tanisha more every week and actually like Scarlet O'Hara but I just can't anymore with his face. He looks like he's 12 and it actually took me out of the number each time he was facing the camera. Congratulations Mandy for choreographing more than one number I loved. At the rate she had been going, even a second number that was "meh" would've been an improvement. She has been love one/loathe the other for the past two seasons. First time all season that I really loved all of the group numbers so that's a step in the right direction. While I like Jessica and am glad she was saved, I agree with the comments about her expressions. I wanted them to save Teddy because, while I loved Casey's duet, I thought his solo was horrible. I loved Teddy's who got extra points from me for using that song!!
  20. First time in a long while that I really loved a Travis number. I will re-watch that one. I missed the babbling explanation and still understood the performance. I shouldn't need a syllabus to enjoy a 2 minute performance. Thanks Misty for telling Nigel what is extra obvious this season...the guys are far superior. This year there's not even a couple of girls to really root for. That said, I'm warming up to Tanisha. I loved this week's number even if it did look like a college student was dancing with her junior high school brother. Forgot to mention: While I love Dimitri, he should just leave since Nigel manages to insult him every time he's choreographed the past several seasons.
  21. That was definitely him and I was laughing along with you. It was tempered by the fact that I didn't loathe that number like I do with 90% of Tyce's numbers.I like what I know of Valerie as a person but she always looks awkward to me. I'm more sad than I expected to be that Stanely went home. Another "meh" night for me but less so than last week.
  22. I thought most of this week's show was a snoozefest. There was only one number I may want to watch again and that was Sonya's second number. I don't even remember who danced it. Enjoyed having some valuable feedback from Misty Copeland. Nigel, you ass...you just had to tell Malene that she was really only on the show because she skated through notVegas on her looks as you are giving her the boot. Whose fault was that? Just shut up!!!!
  23. One of my favorites not mentioned is This Bitter Earth with Billy, Alex and Ade. There isn't one second of this I would change. I'll admit that I still get a tear in my eye watching it. I actually had an argument with someone who said Billy wasn't really dancing. http://youtu.be/MegIxbSXZms
  24. For a group I was mostly "meh" on last week, I thought this was a great week. While I have favorites, I'll likely watch everyone again this week. Loved Stanley & Bridget and the new choreographer and, surprisingly Ricky & Jessica who I like but am not a huge Sonya Tayeh fan. I really enjoyed that one (not so much for the Top 20 number). Also, loved Marcquette and Malene. That tap number was incredible but I keep expecting Valerie to fall over. I'm no expert and can tell she's a great tapper but she looks off-balance when dancing. Ballet experts: With the fouettés, was the dancer on the left hyper extending her knee on her free leg? Something about her turns drew my attention but I'm not sure what.
  25. MMV. If that's the case, and that may be based on the separate video, I really hate his placement. For me, I don't notice hands unless they are distracting in either a good or bad way and I didn't care for his at all.
