  1. Are we supposed to believe that Harris reads now?
  2. I've always thought that the hospital just letting them take Randall was unrealistic. I could be wrong, and It was a long time ago, but to take a couple that had multiples and also lost one and just hand them an abandoned baby ? No screening, interviews, check out what mental state Rebecca might be in, do a home visit, also consider the fact that someone might have come back for Randall and they would have to give him up? That adoption wasn't final for a couple of years if I recall correctly, what would it have been like to also lose Randall? None of that, just hey, Jack heard about this other kid and is on board. This other kid just has lemons now, Jack is the man to make it lemonade for both of them. They already got three of everything. Also, for people who love to go down memory lane and hang on to the smallest thing, I have always felt it was weird that they just closed the door on Kyle right away. Everybody grieves differently but it doesn't ring true for that family at all. We literally got whole episodes about people that the characters didn't even know and not one about Kyle and the aftermath of his loss?
  3. Her hair being a mess and the jacket thing over a halloween bride costume and how she's just so teeny tiny, and how she's a raging asshole is all just part of her sparkle. It's what brings all the boys to the yard and makes them overlook her more attractive and more pleasant sister.
  4. Agreed, also I feel like people on this show find it inspirational in life changing way and regard it as if they never heard it before. Haven't these people ever been to a yard sale or something where you see it for 25 cents on a cross stitch made by someones memaw?
  5. I want them to wrap up the last episode Fast Times at Ridgemont High style where we get a biography for all of them so we can see how ridiculous they all are. Of course, it's TIU, so half of that time will just be stories that go years and years into the lunch lady at the big 3's elementary school, the Ophthalmologist who gave Randall his first pair of glasses, the guy who worked at the local pet shop, even though they didn't actually even go there for a pet or anything...
  6. I don't know why they never give Becky anything. It's pretty crazy that nasty sour Darlene landed a husband, dated other guys, literally had someone write a letter from their deathbed for her, on top of Hawaii tickets, gotten a huge promotion, and Becky is crying about whether anyone even wants to live with her. The one boyfriend she's had this whole time was some random old man professor who turned out to be a sad sack. I also think it's time to retire the 'darlene is so tiny and childlike' jokes. Plenty of old shriveled old looking ladies are small lol.
  7. I think it's sad that they didn't factor in Kyle. Agreed that they should have made Jack and Kyle meet her together. One thing I don't like about the storyline is that they make Kate be the one Rebecca is closest to and trusts the most when Kate was a nasty bitch to Rebecca up until she got sick basically. In fact that whole family fangirls Kate and I don't get it at all. I'm also in the they did Miguel dirty camp. I think it was supposed to be that she just truly didn't remember the marriage anymore but poor Miguel. He wasn't number one to anyone in his life and that's really sad. I honestly think he was at least as good of a husband as Jack was, better even. It takes a very big man to care for someone sick like that day in and day out, most people couldn't do it.
  8. It simply must expand to help kids learn to sing good on the planet mars.
  9. Nah, he looks like he stinks, shops at the family dollar young men's section, and wears jewelry from a farmer's market store that also sells crystals and incense.
  10. Yeah it really is lazy writing. Why not make that relationship have some legitimate issues, it wouldn't be hard to come up with some considering all the baggage he has. Even his dad knows he's a loser. Instead they just make him super, super dumb in a really unrealistic way. He's written as a person who isn't smart enough to know better and they act like Harris is out of his league. I don't think Harris is stupid or even has been written to be unrealistic, more like she has a personality disorder, anger issues and daddy issues. Nobody except some other messed up and co dependent person would want her. Aldo is only the bigger screw up because he's so much older and has had more time to do dumb things.
  11. I don't get what you mean? I'm saying that Harris and Aldo are on the same level, unlikeable people that have not been shown to have any decent qualities so far. Also I don't consider Harris a normal level of screwed up, she literally shoved her mother across the room and seems like she has major anger issues alongside of her terrible personality. Darlene should have also gotten Harris some help when she went to talk to someone about her anxiety that time.
  12. I think it's Darlene who will be pregnant considering that line about how her stomach is bothering her.
  13. It's kind of funny that the conners think Harris is too good for Aldo. They're both losers, one is a miserable bitch and the other one is dumb as rocks is the only difference. Harris herself told Darlene to have fun worrying if she was pregnant when she went off the pill earlier in the season. Yeah, Aldo is older and should know better but I feel like they're on the same level. I guess we're supposed to see Harris as a diamond in the rough for no real reason just like the Darlene character.
  14. Darlene is your typical bad parent who has the mindset that she’s doing the best she can. Harris has needed to see a psychologist since episode one and all she’s done for mark is this stupid play the contrabassoon to go to college for free idea. I get that it’s supposed to be this big clever way in on this show but come on. i also thought it was stupid that they had the idea to compare Becky’s life as someone who got married early with Louise who got married later in life to try and steer Harris in the right direction. Louise is pretty much in the same position as Becky except her husband is a doormat with a bunch of grown kids taking over the house. You could argue that Becky has it better than Louise at this point because she could take her one kid and move on whereas Louise’s husband will be having those kids and grandkids sucking the life out of him till the end. They want us to think Dan is some prize when most women would run away from that lifestyle like their hair was on fire.
  15. The contrabassoon thing is so hilarious to me. Considering how many people are out there with useless degrees drowning in student loan debt, they really want us to believe that here's the magic answer to getting a free ride through college. lol. I can't. It's also pretty ridiculous that Darlene won Ben back not by being a less miserable, less rude, less annoying version of herself, but by amping it up to max level and falling through a roof in the process. What a waste of a reboot this show is.
  16. Agreed that this show is totally dumbed down and unbelievable. First of all, why do they think the viewers even care about Harris? This character has zero redeeming qualities. Nobody cares if Harris has a kid with her loser boyfriend, and if they did the kid would be living at Dan's too. It's like they really believe that the audience is waiting with baited breath about whether Harris will do this or not. Also, why not make the Aldo character at least remotely attractive or have a decent personality or something to explain why a 20 year old girl would be so gung ho to deal with his weird kids and want to marry him. I feel like they really think Harris and Aldo are the new Becky and Mark except Becky was smart, had goals, fell for her good looking boyfriend who was her own age, etc. Even though they didn't have that much in common it was a LOT more believable.
  17. Gee, the answer to how they're going to afford the move without a raise is, you know, not knocking down and rebuilding a whole house. But instead living in the house that only costs 500 a month. Agreed that Lecy is super stiff and staged. Why does she always walk onto the stage like she's about to do a dance recital?
  18. Remember when they first introduced the Philip character and he was like breaking up with a supermodel type for being boring. lmao. Kate is a sad sack, a sanctimonious killjoy, part of a family who is super in to waxing nostalgic and explaining why this one day at the pool / ice cream parlor/ zoo is a real defining moment and an explanation for why they did x, y or z before they start crying. This is what he finds interesting? Toby did nothing wrong, it is honestly so ridiculous that they are painting him as the bad guy. Kate is one of those women who wants her partner to bring in the money so she can be there for the kids, then bitch about how he's not there and she has to do everything. Why does the kid who plays Jack during the proposal era not look anything like younger Jack and grown up Jack?
  19. wow, who writes this nonsense? Even if Darlene could take over the mortgage which was already explained here why that wouldn't happen, why would they ever in a million years decide to build an entire new house and have to pay for that when finances are supposedly the main issue in the first place? Also what Dan is going to build them a whole house with his bare hands on his own or something? What little house on the prairie type crap are these writers thinking about? It's honestly hilarious how they were so nonchalant about that, hey dan, could you build a house? (never mind the issue of you know, ripping down an entire other house first) yeah, sure, I could do that. tf? Why wouldn't the guy who was selling it just rent it out or something anyway? I'd love Roseanne's take on this train wreck. It would be a whole different show if she was still involved. It also kind of bugs me that Dan who is supposed to be this jack of all trades guy is living in a house that looks like theirs does. He can build an entire house for Darlene but he can't drop down a new kitchen floor and paint the walls or something?
  20. I think the idea behind the completely different Miranda is that she's so blown away by Che that she's basically chasing them around like a puppy dog when the old Miranda would have thrown up walls and gotten bitchy, sarcastic and probably even insulting when she heard something she didn't like or couldn't figure out where they stood. I just don't think it translates because there's really no storyline to explain why. Even Carrie said that it was specifically being with Che that motivated Miranda but all we have seen is sexual attraction and Che being 'funny' if you want to call it that.
  21. I guess Aldo is a symptom of Harris daddy issues. I don’t see any other reason for her to be so enamored with that doofus. At least mark was Beckys age and good looking. Aldo is gross.
  22. Aside from all the other issues with this Miranda storyline, all I can think of is how if Steve was making the same exact jokes as Che Miranda wouldn’t be laughing her ass off and looking at him like a cartoon with heart eyes. She’d give him that bitchface and say something snide. Also, wasn’t it Che who made the first move on Miranda at carries apartment? I could be wrong about that but I don’t remember Che asking about Miranda’s marriage first.
  23. I think this show has always had an underlying idea that Darlene is like this diamond in the rough with huge potential. Lol. It’s why she got a big promotion for no reason and why she was allowed to go to art school. I guess all these dudes see it behind the resting bitchface and history of cheating and lying and generational dysfunction and and whatnot.
  24. Roseanne did good things and bad things like all other humans. She also tried to teach her kids not to be racist, took in David, let her grown kids move back home when they needed to, gave food stamps to the neighbor. I think the 'she's in hell' idea was just a joke and in bad taste. I do think its kind of weird that none of them seem to be upset at all over her being dead. Their characters never show any emotion at all about her and that's just more out of character bad writing in my opinion.
  25. wow, can't believe they had Dj saying that line about conceiving kids on that mattress when we had a whole episode about them getting a new one. So lazy with these kinds of mistakes. That's when the writing on this show was actually realistic, waiting for a sale, stacking an employee discount, etc. Honestly, I feel like John Goodman knows that the writing is trash. His lines seem off to me and it's like he can't figure out how to be affectionate in a realistic way with Louise. It's all him getting wide eyed when Louise doesn't give him shit for enabling is loser kids and tolerating stuff no normal person would want to be involved in, then saying something like 'Wow ! You're so cool! I love you honey!' The original show was a lot more about what motivated the characters, like how they had Daddy issues, or came from abusive homes, or whatever. Also, why is Dan so chilled out lately? I get that he's older now, but the original writers gave Dan a temper, and he did pop off from time to time when the kids were being ridiculous/rebellious. I don't see the old dan sitting here when Harris was shoving her mom across the room for example
