That's ummm bad.   Guess letting Jim back in the house where the kids could be in danger was what caused CPS to act.   Presuming this was a formal court ordered removal, not just the parents deciding the kids would live with big brother.

If I was Bobye, I'd choose the kids over Jim. No contest!

  2. @Jeeves- sounds like you are about to save some money by cutting the cable! I envy you. We're forced by our association dues to pay for Comcast cable. Internet is a separate bill, so it's not a good deal, but many of my neighbors keep voting "no change" when we are asked if we'd like to switch to setting up our own. We don't watch cable and most of what we watch is streaming. I'm sick of it! HOAs are not known for promoting freedom, lol. Sounds like you have a good plan in place to give them one last chance!

I just rest my computer, and now I have this annoying arrow in a circle that keeps moving around my screen.  Does anyone know that this arrow is for, and how to get rid of it?

There are some videos about this on YT. I hope you can get rid of it That sounds super annoying!

I'm sorry she miscarried but is it me or what? I have noticed that there is a large number of Duggar women and Bates women who have experienced early miscarriages. Why is this? I don't think most of them use hormonal birth control so this blows Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's excuse of this causing miscarriage. I am including the daughters-in-law in my post who have experienced this. As notabug posted, it is not recommended to conceive so quickly after giving birth a few months prior. My opinion is that most of these couples just don't know what they are doing as far as fertile weeks in the month as they all seem to be "surprised" when a conception is noted on the pee pee stick.

I don't know. It could be the number of Duggars (girls and boys) and their numerous pregnancies that make it seem like an unusually high number of miscarriages. There were 4 girls in my family of 7 kids. All four girls had 3 pregnancies. Unfortunately, two of my sisters had full term stillbirths (different causes). People found it important to comment to us how odd that was. Mom attributed it to the number of daughters and pregnancies. I tend to think Mom was right. Also, we didn't need to be told that these were unusual and unfortunate outcomes as we were sadly aware. My MIL actually told me that my sister was fortunate that her baby died at birth, rather than at age 5 when you "really love them". I'm not criticizing your post, @floridamom - I'm talking about in real life comments!

  5. Josie strikes me as a woman who is madly in love with herself. I'm glad she's about to deliver, so we don't have to see any more pics of her caressing her belly while sticking her butt out. I'm sure her hair and make up will be just so when she posts the inevitable newborn pics of her latest accessory

  6. I heard from an old "friend" I had happily lost touch with. She called, ostensibly to offer condolences on the loss of my Mom, but blathered on about herself and criticized every mutual acquaintance she could think of, including our dear, childhood friend who passed away in 2019. I was shocked! She also criticized a childhood friend and neighbor, who she knows I'm still very close to. I had forgotten what a mean gossip she always was! I kept trying to get off the phone and finally just said "gotta go" after she "joked" about stocking up on arsenic in case her husband's dementia gets any worse! I could tell she was planning to call me regularly, so I blocked her number. The older I get, the less tolerance I have for energy vampires.

Both cats are adorable. Leo has the same expression when ever I take a picture of my cat.

Leo looks kind of grumpy in that photo, but he's not at all. I've never had such an affectionate cat before. He's a lap cat who puts his head back when I'm holding him and he looks at me with such a loving and contented look. I guess we needed each other because he's been such a comfort to me since losing my Mom and our sweet, old kitty. @Salacious Kitty - Demelza is a sweetheart! I love ginger cats.

  8. It's bright and sunny here. Cold though - high of 28 today.

Yesterday we went to Costco and I noticed two odd people, whom I immediately felt wary of. They didn't appear to be together. First I noticed a thirtyish man with an angry look on his face. He didn't have a cart and he kept getting in our way. The woman was perhaps late 30's, all bundled up inside the store, also with no cart. Neither one appeared to be buying anything. They made me think of spies, like on the Americans or something. It was so strange! I asked my non-observant husband about them and he had noticed them too! If they were secret shoppers, they weren't good at it, because they didn't appear to be shopping. Honestly, I wondered if they were casing the joint or thinking of opening fire. Why must we live in such a weird timeline? 😟

During her first two pregnancies she just had a relatively small bump. This time she seems to have gained weight all over. I do wonder if she will have a harder time getting back to her pre-baby weight, and if it will bother her. They all seem to bounce back really quickly.

It is very important in their world for women to stay trim between numerous pregnancies. Their ghadly headships are free to blimp out.
