  1. Hmmmmmmmmm..... i keep reading comments about Danaerys stating that she's essentially becoming the Mad King and that "attacking" Westeros, particularly with Dothraki, would be this horrendous act: You do realize how utterly UNREALISTIC it is to expect anyone, even someone who is a good a decent ruler, to take power and to keep power without mass death is? During this time a certain amount of rape occurring in a war is beyond expected and though I doubt she would be able to stop it entirely, I have no doubt that she will order her soldiers NOT to hurt women and children if it can be avoided. I don't think she sounds anymore like the Mad King now than she did at the beginning of the series. You have to remember WHO she was making that speech to........you have to tailor your words for your audience. If she'd said "we'll take kings landing, but no harm will come to the sweet women and children...blah blah" it would've sounded ABSURD and the Dothraki respect STRENGTH. The story needed to bring her to a point where she has the huge sized army she needs and, soon, the ships she will need. I believe Yara and the Iron Born are going to come into play in this part. And Arya........she had to be trained somehow, and now she has been. She has no problem killing, it just seems her father's since of justice is now occurring to her. I also wonder if Jaqen sending the Waif to kill her, or ALLOWING her to, may in fact be a sort of final test, and I'm even wondering if this isn't some sort of test not just for Arya, but the Waif as well. The Waif clearly has a personal issue here and WANTS to kill Arya, so much so she got a promise from Jaqen she could.........this flies in the face of the Faceless Men not killing for personal reasons......so, though it may not even be brought up, I think it might be a test for them both........assassin pitted against assassin; who wins? And whoever loses, their face is added to the hall. I don't think Arya will become an ACTUAL Faceless Man...........though I suppose it is possible the FM's have some sort of interest in Westeros that coincides with Arya's family perhaps; I never thought it was an accident that Jaqen attached himself to Arya the way he did. But even if none of that is true, she will have gained the training she'll need to continue.
  2. I don't know why when the subject of Hayley's marriage to Jackson comes up no one mentions that it wasn't a marriage of love, but one done to save the pack. Why Grandma thinks Hayley should be behaving as if Jackson was someone she was in love with is beyond me. The marriage was an ARRANGEMENT made to protect people, and yes, Jackson loves Hayley, and she cares about him, but to expect that marriage to function like a normal one would is just naive. And Hayley is expected to be making nice on both sides BUT JACKSON ISN'T? At every turn Jackson has tried to pull Hayley away from the family, as does his Grandmother......why are THEY not expected to make some overtures to try and make a better arrangement? And this idea that if Hayley stays away from the family Hope will be safer is naive too. Hope is Klaus' daughter and taking her away won't change that. Taking Hope away from the family places her IN MORE DANGER than keeping her close to those who can best protect her. And if Hayley falls while protecting her daughter or her daughter's family, it's as it should be..........would she not gladly fall to protect Jackson? What's the difference?
  3. Per usual I find Jackson's reactions completely absurd. Hayley was wanting to assist in finding Hope's AUNT.....HER FAMILY. Why is this difficult for Jackson to understand? And his comments about her running whenever the family needs help.......uhhh, yes.......SHE'S PART OF THE FAMILY ASSHOLE, she should go running. She's sacraficed a great deal for her pack, why is it so unbelieveable that she would sacrafice the same for another part of her family? Once again, Jackson's reaction seems to be to be based only in the fact that he wants nothing to do with the Mikaelsons, HE wants nothing to do with them........and is totally ignoring the fact that THAT IS HOPE'S FATHER and by extension, Hayley's family too. In fact, she has a far stronger familial bond to the Mikaelsons than she SHOULD have to her pack.. She has not one living blood relative and the ONLY reason she has ANY direct link to the pack is due to her sacraficing and marrying a man she didn't love to make them stronger. Hope's BLOOD is Mikaelson blood. So, at the VERY least Jackson should not only GET why Hayley feels she must help, HE SHOULD BE OFFERING TO HELP AS WELL. Don't tell me that pathetic loser couldn't have waited for her to come home to then serve dinner for God's sake. And even WORSE, the upcoming episode synopsis says that Hayley may rethink her helping of the Mikaelson's due to Jackson. I'M SORRY BUT THIS IS BULLSHIT and I don't believe it for a second. It's unrealistic bullshit like this that's ruining this show in my opinion. I don't think for a second that Hayley's character would put up with the fact that Jackson is truly acting on his own hatred of the family to dictate whether or not she should be helping HOPE'S FAMILY AND HER'S.
  4. Bessie, I agree with what you said as well. The comment you made about Elijah throwing Jackson in Klaus' face is just one of the reasons I find Elijah psychologically abusive; I find him to be cruel. If you recall he also told Klaus that Hope would eventually walk away from him on her own, which is a pitifully sad thing to say to someone you pushed and pushed into taking responsibility as a father, WHICH KLAUS HAS ACTUALLY DONE. While Klaus does horrible things he doesn't normally do things that are specifically JUST to hurt his siblings. Elijah's comments, and actions as he has not supported Klaus since Hope has been born but instead has supported Hayley and HER personal agenda, are the kind that cut to the quick as they play on Klaus' worst fears. I know someone will likely say that Klaus killed Gia, but this was in response to Elijah making the decision that HE, not Klaus.....Hope's FATHER......was more capable of protecting her and then rendered Klaus unable to do so. ANY response, no matter how deadly, would've been a reasonable answer to this. Elijah behaves as if he has some right to supplant Niklaus as Hope's protector all because Hayley asked him to; Klaus has never harmed Hope, in fact adores her and has done everything to protect her, so Elijah has no right whatsoever to continue to sidestep Hope's FATHER'S wishes.
  5. I agree that Klaus' reaction was extreme, though so was Elijah's. He knew Klaus was going to be very hurt by this news, so when he is and he reacts, Elijah's reaction to that is to not apologize, but to stoke the argument further? Elijah has lead a life full of several women and relationships, Klaus hasn't. Klaus' life has essentially been a lonely one, which has made him who he is, and I think THAT is the point he was trying to make when he said Elijah's actions set him on a course. I don't think for a minute he blames Elijah for everything, but I see his point. Also, no one ever seems to point out that Elijah constantly lords a moral superiority over Klaus, claims he is his supportive brother, yet, over and over, his words and actions support an opinion that he doesn't think Klaus is worthy of any of the things he claims he wants for him. And anyone who has lived 1000 years should know: if you, over and over and over, insult and shame someone, telling them they are unworthy, they will eventually BELIEVE THAT and will, however unwittingly, will cause their lives to fufill that. For someone who is painfully aware of why Klaus is the way he is, I think Elijah is repeatedly cruel and psychologically abusive to Niklaus. You either actually want him to be redeemed, want him to eventually be happy and WANT to help him to achieve that, or you don't. And I think Elijah's ACTIONS are opposite to what he's said in the past to Klaus on this matter. All that being said, I think it was lazy of the writer's to plop this down, another conflict between the brothers. If they wanted conflict, they should've used one of the sisters.
  6. I found Hayley's reaction to being away from Hope for a whopping 6 months, though she was seeing her once a month, to be utterly melodramatic. "You don't know what you've taken from me", she wailed.............OH GOOD GOD, ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS RIGHT NOW? If Klaus hadn't figured that mess out she would've been DEAD and that would've been a hell of alot longer than 6 months. Only someone with a mental handicap would not get that the very thing she was shrieking about was what she'd planned to do to Klaus, though she wanted that to be forever. I've noticed a few people make comments that Jackson would make a better father and that that was maybe a good idea she had......whether Jackson would or would not make a good father is irrelevant: HE ISN'T HOPE'S FATHER, period, and if Jackson wants a baby THAT bad then bloody well make yer own. Is it just me or is everything Jackson has not actually his own: his wife is someone else's woman, the baby isn't his, and he wouldn't even be acting alpha, if Hayley and Klaus hadn't helped him. Can you tell I dont like Jackson?
  7. Honestly, I'm just really happy that we've moved on from the Klaus/Hayley/Hope issue. Frankly, everyone's reaction to that drama, save for Klaus', has been utterly UNREALISTIC in my opinion and the longer it dragged on the worse it got. One point that no one, not even Klaus himself made, which was a glaring error to me, is the fact that KLAUS IS HOPE'S FATHER, and it was HIS right, not Jackson's and certainly not Elijah's, to protect her in anyway he saw fit. It was his right to make mistakes. Just because Hayley asked Elijah to protect Hope, that gave him no place to attempt to replace Klaus as her main protector. In daggering Klaus he rendered him unable to protect his daughter, and IMO, any response, no matter how brutal, to such a thing was warranted. Hayley seems to care little to how damaging to Hope it could be to take someone who loves her so completely away from her..........all due to how he treats OTHER people; if he was abusing Hope in some way, it would be understandable, but that's not the case. In all situations since her birth Klaus has acted in her interest ONLY, no one else's, while Hayley seems, since her marriage to Jackson, to be letting HIS hatred of Klaus and the Mikaelson family dictate their actions. I'm not saying Klaus isn't a hot mess, he is, but enough already with the shots below the belt: THE MAN IS HER FATHER, and no matter where you take her or what cave you hide her in, that will always be true. I'm disappointed with Cami's storyline too, but not as much. I think there's alot to work with there, with her creepy apartment filled with dark objects, but the "we'[re hunting a serial killer" angle seems forced to me. Maybe it will get interesting.
  8. Ouch, so many pulling for the Parisians? I found watching how the Vikings were failing damn painful and had a hard time watching, even though I knew it was going to happen. I agree too that they've GOT to get subtitles for the Princess; you can't understand a damn thing she says. I had to play it back several times and still didn't get it all. How can they possibly not know that? As for Ragnar's injuries, I think they're severe as well.........but in the promo for the next episode he's up and screaming at everyone.....looking fairly strong. Someone mentioned that they hoped this wasn't Ragnar's last season.......honestly, I think the shows popularity would plummet if they killed Ragnar off. I think i'd try to watch for a while after, but don't think I'd continue to. It's HIS storyline that carries the show for the most part, if you ask me, everyone else being very secondary, and I think it would destroy the show if they kill him off. I think the ONLY way that could be done and they could HOPE to continue being remotely popular is if Lagertha somehow replaced him as queen... And yes, the Princess was totally giving Rollo the eye, and he was checkin her out too. I think he was impressed by her bravery and she impressed by his..........well, everything. I think Calf has a long-game plot planned to attempt to overthrow Ragnar.........hence his joining with Horik's son and Borg's widow.....but I"m hoping that if that's true, that 1) Borg's widow's growing fondness of Bjorn might make her his alli, and not Calf's and 2) Lagertha's growing closeness to Calf might make Calf a bit less careful and have her finding out things he wouldn't have liked for her to. Calf doesnt' have the balls to truly challenge Ragnar, but he is intelligent, so I think he'll cause alot of trouble sooner or later.......unless Lagertha literally fucks him to death....one way or another. Snort! I'm also concerned that that old man who reported the settlement being massacred to Ragnar told Horik's son, or someone else. Remember how it was one of the first things he asked Ragnar about when showing up with Calf? He could use that info to drive a wedge between Ragnar and his people by revealing it.......by revealing that Ragnar told no one and has done nothing about it. now i'm babbling. sorry!
  9. At which part do you seem this masked person? I want to re-watch and see it too. After watching the episode last night now I"m REALLY thinking that it's Rollo who might marry the princess. I realize it seems far-fetched right now, but remember the Seer told Ragnar that "the bear will marry the princess " and told him this would be very bad for him. Now, I suppose it could be referring to the princess in Wessex, but that seems even MORE far-fetched.
  10. I'm new here, so please excuse me if I'm posting the wrong thing in the wrong place. I am getting that folks are making predictions here with possibly spoilers too, so: 1. I think the Seer's prediction to Rollo and Ragnar....the thing to Ragnar about the Bear and the Princess. I think its possible that Rollo is somehow going to marry the King of Paris' daughter OR, going back much further, the Seer also told Ragnar that Bjorn would marry a princess........so it could be Bjorn? Don't ask me how.... 2. I think Horiks son and Calf are playing a long game in trying to overthrow Ragnar.....but I think Horik's son's wife, who clearly has some feeling for Bjorn, may later frustrate this plot. I think Ragnar will grow to regret not helping Lagertha take back her earldom 3. I think Ragnar might use is new appearance to possibly pose as a monk; i've seen the mention here previously. I agree with the idea that the dead will somehow open the doors.......maybe inviting a Troy-like situation. Anyone agree?
