Now Ollie asking for Mama Anderson to play him off was funny. Good thing she hadn't gone to the bathroom because he absolutely would have named every player on the team. -

Question: did they extend the voting period as well due to the strike or did they still have everyone vote over the summer and just put the ballots in a drawer? -

One is the Loneliest Number: Unpopular GG Opinions
scarynikki12 replied to mstaken's topic in Gilmore Girls
I don't think it was intentional when the show was in the early seasons but they did end up establishing Rory as a cheater two separate times (kissing Jess while with Dean and sleeping with married Dean) and never had her face any real consequences for her behavior. They also showed her growing to be more and more comfortable with the society world Lorelai rejected. Pair these two and it's not surprising she was comfortable cheating on Paul and being Logan's side piece in the revival. None of this means Logan had to get her pregnant, of course, as Paris' fertility practice was right there. Rory could easily have decided to finally end the affair halfway through the revival and then go to Paris for help getting pregnant and starting her own family. -

The 81st Golden Globe Awards (2024)

Oppenheimer is Nolan's best work but what may sway voters is the general agreement he's overdue. Academy voters love a narrative and that's a classic one. Emmy's are next week I believe so everyone mark the date! -

A lot of the dresses have had trains tonight. I get the appeal but don't they spend the whole night keeping people from stepping on it? Lily Gladstone! Oh wow Harrison Ford is DELIGHTED for her. Put them in a movie together. -

It speaks to the popularity of Suits that the actors are presenting Best Drama years after the show ended. -

I think the comedy category has been expanded to mean a show with absurd characters/situations, even if just a little, rather than one that fires off joke after joke. I love Dua Lipa's necklace. I'll take the fake version for my next birthday please. -

The 81st Golden Globe Awards (2024)

So here's my thing on the new Box Office category. If you're going to award a movie simply because it made a ton of money there shouldn't even be nominations. It should automatically go to the one that made the most money. Which removes the whole point of it being a competitive category. If they want to start doing a special award to the biggest box office movie, then sure as that's got precedent, but don't treat it like you do Best Actor or Best Picture. Yes I love Barbie but this shouldn't be a thing. The new stand up category makes more sense as there's specials released all the time. I do love Margot's dress. -

It's sweet how much Billie loves Jon Batiste. I still would have given it to I'm Just Ken but they don't let me vote. -

Across the Spider Verse was excellent but Intro already won a ton of awards and we've got another excellent Miyazaki movie in the race. In the minds of the voters I see Miyazaki having the edge based on his amazing career and the fact they already gave Intro awards love. No that doesn't make sense but they think this way. I adore Michelle Yeoh forever and ever. Oh good Emma Stone's a redhead again. -
