How was Madeline not suspicious of "always asking questions" Tasha? She had so many red flags from the start. Was her man was too lazy to take out Zapata and Boston?

Madeline actually allowed them to brings files directly to her office. She should have had them drop it off at the front lobby.

Bond villains were laughing at Madeline at the end.

Madeline has been really dumb, between not actually checking he's not Del Toro to not actually checking up on Zapata, that and coming up with overcomplicated plans that easily falls apart.

Exactly! Considering how (IMO) irrational she's been about the kid being traumatized, even if she didn't want to get rid of the blanket for whatever reason, why would she have not washed the blanket, or at least washed out the spot? It's winter. There's no lack of cold water.

Agreed, you'd think they would be used to properly covering things up by now.

So, is Jane actually cured? I hope so b/c I don't want to have watched twelve episodes only to find out that she can relapse and there would be even more episodes of her having the shakes, headaches, hiding it from the rest of the team, and then another scavenger hunt for the "real" cure.

Same here, I assume they'll go after Madeline for the rest of the season,

I am waiting for the clue that leads them on a search for hours and hours through garbage.

Agreed or something that ends useless subplots like Jane/Kurt melodrama and whatever Zapata is doing anymore.

Do they really not have to tell you what you're charged with at any time before you actually go to court?

I felt the same way about him not having a clue to what they were charging him with. How is your lawyer supposed to help you? That just sounds ridiculous. Also, yes, the prosecution does have to share evidence. That was all sorts of messed up.

    Yeah, it was ridiculous.

When everyone was so relieved that their one set of pictures was "clean", I started wondering why not a single blessed one of them even raised the idea that someone else might have (gasp) taken a picture at a wedding.

Exactly, it's a wedding where there would be tons of pics everywhere.

Gabriel's storyline this week was also a bit boring as well. I can't see him being kept on next season.

Yeah, there's not much they can do with him past this season.

I wonder if the show realized that people like Rich.Com and Patterson way more than they like any of the other characters on the  show.

Considering the last episode, that's likely because their other subplots aren't interesting at all between the boring Jane/Kurt melodrama and whatever Zapata is even doing anymore.

Roman is an ass to make them travel far and leave hard clues to find the book of herbal remedies. What if there was an earthquake an knocked everything off?

Apparently he wanted the team to go on an extensive treasure hunt after he died.

Madeline is slipping. She should have had Boston shot.

For some reason, she's overcomplicating everything and making it easier for her to slip up.

I love when this show pokes fun at itself. The book version of Kurt growls everything he says!

At this point I think I prefer the book version LOL! And once again they tease us with Patterson's first name.

    The book version looked fun.

She does. If the Zip is really messing with her, she might believe she's Lady Sif next week.

I would have lost it if she had sent the Morse code by controlling her heart rate.

They must have blown their budget months ago. No big  explosions or good shootouts in a while.

Yeah, even the fight scenes are limited each week.

Jane went Daredevil tonight. They might as well make her a full time superhero (costume and all).

Briana gets suspended for talking but Jane is welcomed back with open arms.

No George Michael playing in the background as the team is cracking the case? Guess the show couldn't afford it.

Jane even has the origin story for it.

The show has definitely gotten even cheaper.

When we look at all of the various murders on this show, most of them have been committed by people with troubled childhoods, but that's because these dopes seem to attract troubled people to them. However, we've also had Asher murder someone and his upbringing was privileged if WASPy and withholding.

That's probably because Annalise surrounds herself with emotionally damaged people or they get involved.

    2 hours ago, Jeopardy15 said:

I wonder if the end game is to bring down Annalise? She never actually killed anyone or was even involved in killing anyone in all these seasons.

That or everything catches up to them in a final season.

It's been five seasons, and Nate has still not once been interesting. Even joining the show's roster of murderers hasn't made him interesting.

Probably because he hasn't really done much in the grand scheme of things, he's usually been a plot device that helps cleans up after Annalise and the Keating 5.

So were they trolling us by calling this The Big Reveal?  Because I'm pretty sure no one who has ever watched TV was surprised by anything that was "revealed" in this episode.

I was, however, surprised that the son was actually the son and not a plant and that he wasn't calling a fake finacee to surreptitiously let the bad guys know the scientist had been found.  Or at the very least his fiancee wasn't a plant.  We didn't see how the recording was obtained of him telling her though.  The assumption is his phone was tapped, but maybe he didn't get in trouble for being a dipshit so that the finacee being evil can put Jane's cure in peril in a future episode.

Yeah, especially since he almost got everyone killed there.

  12. 36 minutes ago, mxc90 said:

Now that we know where Zip originated, wouldn't it be something Patterson or Rich could have easily found when they were searching for Jane's cure?

It would but they need the back half of the season for it.

    Not if it's rent-stabilized.

Medical ethics be damned. I guess if you're going to use an experimental drug that has not been approved by any agency and which you really don't know what it will do, taking the decision regarding whether to use it from the individual who will be getting it is A-OK. This is actually one of the things I enjoy about this show. It's completely absurd and it doesn't care. Come w/ us. Pay no attention to ethical considerations or the law and just look at the killer klowns from outer space.

It's plot convenient drug to bring Jane back but still keeps her sickness for the back half of the season.

The only thing I took from this episode: Weller's downstairs neighbors must be going crazy with all the fighting/noise/shootings happening from his apartment. He should be evicted.

Should've moved out a long time ago.

So weller drugs his wife and has some doctor preform super risky surgery against remi’s will so he can get back the version of his wife he likes… The one who came out of a bag knowing barely anything.. Who he then never left alone because he thought she was a girl he liked a long time ago… This relationship has always bugged me weller has always seemed obsessed and now remi has no brother or mother left.. Guess I’m done

Pretty much, I knew they weren't going to drag the Remi think past half a season.

Burke: I am sure glad I killed the very competent hacker for that URGENT!! action so I could travel across the Globe and put us in a deadly situation just have to travel again to find this slightly better hacker who may or may not be willing to help.

    Bwa-ha-ha-ha!

Yeah, it was so stupid and they could've just saved themselves from the trouble to begin with.

  17. 9 hours ago, Dowel Jones said:

Weller shouldn't stand a chance against Remi's fighting skills.  They've built the whole show around them.

That's probably where the plot convenient Zip poisoning kicks in.

*sigh* this show keeps some of my favorite characters/actors around and yet it's utterly boring. Everybody deserves better.

Probably because they don't know what to do with them most of the time, especially Reade/Zapata recently.

  18. 56 minutes ago, mxc90 said:

The writers are taking the easy way out giving Remi a way to get back to being Jane.

I expected as much, this wasn't the type of show that would kill off its main lead so they needed a convenient out for her.

    57 minutes ago, mxc90 said:

We need to get some progress to the Zapata/Reade/Burke story. It's beyond boring now.

Agreed, Zapata is basically nothing more than a glorified henchman and Reade/Burke are just wasting time chasing her.

So Weller gets kidnapped and bomb vested and forced to do a break in then when he escapes he goes home? Not to confess or debrief or anything? Just home, to tidy up I guess.

Yes, especially after they broke in, stole evidence, and a van exploded.

The worst part about Weller's quest to bring Jane back is that we've barely seen them as a functional couple:

    • Season 1 was about unraveling the mystery and their underlying attraction to each other
    • Season 2 is about Jane trying to regain the FBI's trust, bring down her mother, and reconnect with Roman
    • Season 3 has a time jump. Jane and Weller's nascent relationship has become a marriage, which has fallen apart. Jane has been missing for years. Roman is trying to get revenge. Even when Jane does come back to the FBI and Weller, she lies about cheating on him for half the season and spends the other half pissed that he kept info about her daughter from her.
    • In season 4, Jane has reverted to Remi. She's actively trying to sabotage the FBI.

If this show had any freaking sense, instead of giving the audience shmoopy flashbacks of Weller and Jane that we never saw, they'd give us scenes of Weller and Jane kicking ass. We know the two of them loved being in the field together. It's not hard to believe that it might have been their version of foreplay. Furthermore, it makes it that much more likely that Remi might still have some residual feelings for Weller based on muscle memory from being in a fire fight.

Yeah, they keep skipping anything substantial, there's always something: missing memories, a time skip, a secret kid, and now this.

MEM: We need a hacker, NOW!

Tasha: We have a great hacker.

MEM: No, we want the best, kill this guy and lets get the best. And did I say it was URGENT!

Tasha: Nobody knows who it is.

MEM:Well, find him, cause like I said, we need him IMMEaDIATELY!!

Tasha: But we just had a guy who could do it in here?!?
    MEM:That's to easy, Bwahahahah!!

Yeah it makes no sense when they have a capable hacker already there instead of overcomplicating themselves.

Ah, so the hammer has fallen. Not a surprise, but I do wonder why it has taken so long for this decision to be announced.

Idk, for some reason, certain decisions take a lot longer than others.

As for Salvation, these types of shows don't last too long.
