  1. As of this evening, Lucas has no ascended into the category of -- men who do not really exist.
  2. Maybe Jack shows up and he and Elizabeth reunite so Nathan and Lucas begin a love triangle over Fiona LOL
  3. Agreed but what could the storyline be? If Nathan was supposed to go on the tragic outing but didn't, how will that make E love him? If Nathan was in a search party but one that turned up no body, how will that make E care for him? If Nathan made some last minute promise to Jack to watch over E, how will E feel about that? Maybe the show will go English Patient, where Jack is in some private hospital with no face or hands or feet and only Nathan knows LOL
  4. If Stabler and his family lived in Rome for so many years, why oh why do his kids look so schlumpy? I could point out the daughters in those shapeless sweaters but that would be sexist so I would also add the romantic poet son who also looks like a JC Penney shopper. Surely this family learned some fashion? Jeez ...
  5. Letting Kathy die was sooooo predictable! Think of the storylines that open up when Stabler becomes a widower: -give Stabler depression -give him romance -give him romance with Olivia -make one kid be harmed in some way, for a case of the week -make one kid do drugs, for a case of the week -and so on. I am not saying any of these are good plot pts, but with the mundane killing off of Kathy, I believe we can expect them, or stories like them. I was not too impressed with Organized Crime. Just my two cents.
  6. First of all, thanks to anyone who answers. I have not watched prior seasons but wonder .... Why does Rosemary have to quit the dress shop if somebody named Dottie sells it? Wouldn't the shop still need employees or why can't Lee buy it. They seem comfortable enough. I don't get the angst Rosemary is experiencing about a new career??? Just a note but every forum I go to, the vast majority of posters are firmly Team Lucas. I wonder if Hallmark is aware of that cuz most folks just seem to not be able to stand Nathan.
  7. This is what I get for not watching the history. Do you mean to say, that in this story, they marry, have married life for 2 weeks, guy goes off and dies, and E becomes pregnant during the two weeks of wedded bliss? I am sorry but I find that story line ridiculous even to write out. Seriously that is what happened for real, in this show?
  8. Now, I have seen 8 episodes and I have no intention of viewing any more though I will 'watch' the remaining eps to see who 'wins' the love triangle. And by watch, I mean FF though just to watch triangle members interact. I have searched out several discussion forums and it seems like the majority of folks want Lucas to be the one. I guess my real issue is how Elizabeth has been written and acted through this season. This is a woman who has been married and has had sex and intimacy regularly, and a woman who has conceived a child and given birth. She is no virgin. Yet, in this triangle, she acts like a school girl with no awareness of what she desires or if she is treating these two guys fairly. I was dumbstruck when she tells Nathan that she is not interested, yet fumes that he does not show up later for a school conference. Surely it could be understood if the guy does not want to sit with her so recently after being told he is not the one. Why tell Lucas that Nathan is out of the picture? Is he, is she sure, and how cruel would that be if she changes her mind. Her empathy for either of the two men seems completely missing, yet she seemed to just love the graduation song all about her. She comes across as shallow, self-interested, and not very kind. Am I misreading this character ?
  9. I have watched THREE episodes of this show. I heard of the romance triangle and I thought I would watch, pick one, and see how I did. This is a hard show to watch. Erin K is one of those Hallmark actresses who confuses smiling and laughing with actual acting. The second worst - Pascale Hutton. Anyway, as for calling it -- 1. Nathan and Lucas. 2. Lucas's mom (who I found way more interesting than Lucas ) and Nathan 3. Lucas and Fiona (is that the barbershop one? I like her) 4. Elizabeth and Nathan. (I find Lucas smarmy). Prediction: Last ep, Elizabeth told Lucas that she had broken it off with Nathan. Surely this is a TV trope. When girl tells guy 1 that she no longer wants guy 2, she ends up with guy 2.
  10. As I have read all the posts so far, I am surprised to find all so negative. Regarding the court, we are seeing exactly what the two lawyers told us we would see. Jocelyn said the case would be built brick by brick, fact by fact, and so she does not respond to every gust of wind. The other attorney is full of emotion, just not about this case. She is hurt and angry that Jocelyn would NOT represent her son. Her need to win if more about beating Jocelyn than anything to do with Joe Miller. That kind of passionate hatred can cause burn out or mistakes. We shall see. I like Beth and I think her anger is appropriate and reasonable. Every single day she must wonder how Ellie could not have known. As Ellie herself said to Chloe, if she had known, she would have stopped it. But she didn't know, and Beth cannot forgive her yet. Mark, on the other hand, causes me to wonder if in fact Joe didn't do it, maybe Mark did!!! What I wonder if how they will tie Sandbrook to the Broadchurch situation, or will they run the two murders simply parallel. Claire is guilty of something, I feel certain of it. Finally, I read a theory this morning on another discussion forum that said that everyone is Broadchurch is teamed with someone who cannot give them what they need (Beth and Mark, Ellie and Joe, Ellie and Hardy, Hardy and anyone, and so on)... Interesting theory.
