[S01.E01: The Reunion]

I enjoyed it. It was fun to watch faux versions of people who were famous when we were young doing what we imagine they are doing now. Perfect summer fluff. I think I'd actually enjoy this more than a straight reboot, because we get to be in the joke somewhat.

This is what makes her so uncomfortable to watch. She's not just annoying and dramatic; she's dealing with real trauma. It's one thing to make a mistake in hooking up with someone, but then she should avoid the show. I genuinely feel bad for her.

YES! That's who he looks like. I never saw him in Emily's season nor the Bachelor Pad seasons but he does actually look like a man amongst boys. I'd even put him near the top in terms of attractiveness.

Jason continues to be one of my favorites over the seasons. Solid guy, solid family, solid job. Loved his hometown visit at the hockey rink, when he casually called Becca "Becks". To me, that little bit of interaction was more intimate than all the hooking up in Hannah's season (not that there's anything wrong with it.) He's the boyfriend we all want.

As for this season, I'm beginning to think this is the show these people ultimately want to be on. They're made for this setup. That said, I can't wait for the rest of this season.

I watched until that first group date, realized I still hadn't watched last week's Young Sheldon season finale, watched that (which was SO GOOD), and when that was over, started watching The Voice - which I haven't watched ALL SEASON.

They need to mix up at least the early episodes. It all just feels so repeated - a group date that objectifies the contestants, someone who declares his or her love way too early, and the weird producer plant.

Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but did anyone else notice that it seems they used everyone's mother's names in the credits? (I'm wildly assuming as I saw the Host was listed as Connie Seacrest, who is apparently Ryan's mom)

Anyway, back to the contestants, it's Laine's to lose. I enjoy listening to Alejandro and Madison, but I enjoy watching Laine perform. He's not polished but just cute and confident enough to pull it off.

Yes, this is very typical.  This show pretends that Asian people don't exist.

There was another half Asian guy on a recent season, maybe Becca's season.  He was very tall, smart, kind of nerdy and he made it on Bachelor on Paradise as well.

Connor J. His mom is a news anchor in Chicago. 

Venmo John was also half Asian and was on both Becca's season and BiP. Interestingly, Catherine Lowe, Caila (from Ben's season), and Sharleen (from JP's season) were all also half-Asian but fared better.

It would be nice to have some more Asian representation.

Demi cracks me up. I kind of hope she sticks around all season as a wing woman. 

Love that Hannah called out that Scott was not only being unfair to her but also to the other girl at home.

Hannah really brings the pretty. She knows how to wear a gown.

I can't distinguish most of the guys yet outside of box guy, surfer dude, American but speaks French, pilot (sans uniform), and pilot.

That was my first reaction, too, but I'm willing to go with it to tidy up unresolved issues. There is something sweet about Beverly realizing how much she hurt Leonard all these years. 

Outside of the Beverly/Leonard story, I felt meh about the rest of the episode. Raj feeling at home at Howard and Bernadette's place makes sense. Stuart's girlfriend freeloading is just annoying, and that story with her roommate was just filler. Not sure where they're going with Raj and Anu.

Looking forward to next week's episode, as it seems most of the characters are settled down.  

[Bachelorette Reunion: The Biggest Bachelorette Reunion in Bachelor History Ever!]

That was a fun 2 hours. No manufactured drama, no dragged out plot lines, no unnecessary crying. Just a nice sharing of memories. It really highlighted how the show has ... evolved.

I didn't watch Trista's season, but she seems sweet and genuine. When the women did their "we're not worthy" thing towards her, she appeared touched, and I liked how she kept turning attention back to Chris Harrison even during their brief interaction. (And the appreciation is deserved - the franchise owes a great deal of its success to Trista and Ryan.)

Jillian seemed like a riot. (I didn't watch her season either. Was she always like this?) I wish they'd choose someone like her again. 

Most of the women looked, for the most part, normal. Outside of a few of the recent B's, they looked like they are aging gracefully and looking how an attractive person would look after having kids and living a regular life. 

The Hannah B and Chris ice cream conversation was hilarious. More downtime scenes with Chris, please!

[S01.E17: The Shake Up]

I missed a few episodes and apparently a bunch of plot lines. What happened to Nolan and Chen? I didn't understand the basis of the relationship (was it a rebound? 2 people in similar situations looking for companionship? unresolved issues?), and I imagine made for some awkwardness in the squadroom. 

The anger from Chen's dad was surprising. Sure, be angry at the police as an institution - don't take it out on her personally because she's doing her job. 

[The Bachelor in the Media]

Watching "Single Parents" right now, and the episode features the 2 female leads visiting the Bachelor mansion and talking with Chris Harrison. Hilarious. They have 1:1s with him in the hot tub, where they complain about their men problems. He agrees that a lot of men are trash and *coughmumbles Juan Pablo* !

Wow.

And all the jokes aside, I find their journey somewhat believable. How any of the 'contestants' would ever not have doubt (if they're honest with themselves) is beyond me. It's easier for the lead to zone in on someone and think they're in love.

I didn't sit on my remote, and I still missed it. I even rewound. He says he wants to show her how much he loves her, and (poof) they're back together. 

[S23.E10: The Women Tell All]

FF'ing through this, like I've done with every episode this season. Unsurprisingly many of these women are new to me. 

Wow, Demi.  I believe her when she says she has a hard shell and doesn't like showing vulnerability. Unfortunately the show just encourages her behavior, whereas she really should spend some time finding herself and learning how to show her feelings in a healthy way. 

Nicole is the real winner of all of this. Halo Top is no joke.

Hannah B is the only real choice for the Bachelorette this season. She's cute, she funny, and she's likable. (Though now I realize I was mistaking her for Cassie during most of the season.)

I still don't understand Caelynn's limo introduction. Didn't she want to be Mrs. Underwood, instead of Miss Underwood? Still, I commend her courage for sharing what happened to her in college. That couldn't have been easy. 

With the darker hair, Colton looked like Warner Huntington III from Legally Blonde. All things considered, he seems like a genuinely nice guy with real feelings, and of the last few Bachelors, I've actually liked him the most.

You raise a good point - having a good career/income makes a difference. I'd say that an ideal Bachelor should have: a certain presence (the swagger), a good career, looks, ability to speak, and basic decency. Andrew Firestone had all 5. Andy Baldwin did, too (thank you @betha for the name reminder.) Matt Grant also did, if I recall correctly. 

Colton's a decent guy and easy on the eyes, but he doesn't have the rest (not yet, at least - not a knock on him, he just doesn't seem ready to be "the ideal Bachelor.")

I'm not sure if he was sexy, but Andrew Firestone had swagger. He knew himself and knew how to drive a conversation. I feel like the Navy officer had swagger, too.

Incidentally, I saw Jesse Palmer on the street recently. I don't remember thinking he was that great during his season, but he looked handsome in real life.

As usual I FF'ed through most of the episode, but I had to watch the last 15 minutes at least several times.

Did they show Hannah yet? If they did, it was quick. If not, why bother at this point.

Colton doesn't have swagger. He's a cute, friendly, utterly unoffensive Golden Retriever. Ben H was cut from the same mold.

I hadn't meant to watch it, but liked it surprisingly. Total Eclipse of the Heart. was. awesome. 

Scott Foley reminds me of another actor, but I can't figure out who. James Marsden?

Loved Frankie and the FBI profiler gushing over each other. 

I didn't know Josh Hopkins would be on the show, so that was a pleasant bonus. 

I'll continue watching. Hopefully they'll continue with the light, fun theme.

[S01.E16: The Rosary]

So they're really dragging out the Barbara Morgan storyline aren't they?

Found the hour humdrum considering it's the penultimate episode of the season. 

• Katherine, girl. It's all good to be accountable for your own actions, but you are not responsible for Eddie having an affair. (I know he's not right for her, but yet I secretly want them to be together. They're just so pretty.)
• Loved the interactions between Gary and Maggie's mom. She totally stole his spot. 
• I *love* how diverse the cast is, and how it's just normal and not a "thing." Gary revealing that his dad is Mexican was great. 
• What exactly does Delilah do all day outside of asking Gina about her angry chopping? We know she doesn't parent her kids. She's done with whatever interior decorating was required. Doesn't she have a whole lot of time now to go through every detail of what was in Jon's apartment in order to find some clues about her husband? 
• Poor Theo. He's a perceptive, smart child. He's projecting stress. Katherine's calm but firm parenting style again trumps Delilah's "let someone else do the dirty work" habit. 

Let's see what they can wrap up next episode.

[S16.E14: Once Upon a Tim]

Overall, enjoyed the episode.

Really enjoyed:

- Tying together all the callbacks to McGee's life - his Navy dad, tap dancing, talent for computers, writing. It does make me wonder if they're trying to give him a sendoff. (Like the headhunting thread a few episodes back.)

- McGee's snarky "Did I get here before you?" response to Delilah asking about a script running on his high school computer. It's the same line Tony said to McGee at least once when they both arrived at a crime scene together. 

- McGee on his own when having to explain the crime scene history of their apartment. 

Could do without:

- Ellie's snide remark about honesty or something like that, upon seeing a picture of Tony. If she's referring to last week's episode, where it was implied that Ziva is alive, just get over it. Neither ZIva nor Tony owe her anything.
