  1. I actually like Kaitlan. And thinks she's a decent bachelorette. Oh well, different strokes I guess. No pun intended.

I'm with you. I actually like that she's spontaneous and acts upon whatever idea is in her head. Sure, she has to deal with consequences sometimes, but, hey, that's real life, too.

(giggle) Shawn talking about Nick "making it to the end" interspersed with scenes of Kaitlyn and Nick in her hotel room.

I missed the first 1/2 hour and all the Ian drama. What happened?

Who are these guys: Chris "Cupcake", Tanner, Joe, and JJ

Ben Z, feel like he's losing steam, though at least we know who he is.

Ben H, still adorbs. If he doesn't make F1 (have not been spoiled), he'd make a great Bachelor.

Oh Shawn. Remember that time you auditioned for The Bachelorette? Yeah, that's the show you are on. Don't blame this on Kaitlyn.

Jared. Seems like the most laid back one of the bunch. Will be interesting to know what sets off his tears!

I don't get Nick. Suddenly it's ok to do fiance type things? It's one thing if he was professing Kaitlyn as The One, but he's even hedging himself by saying he's only falling for her.

  2. While Kaitlyn may lust after Nick, she has a genuine connection with Shawn. That kiss on the cheek was loving and sweet. It was probably one of the most real gestures we've ever seen from a lead.

    Ben H is adorable.

Jared is this year's Marcus. Too much, too soon.

Ben Z may get lost in the shuffle. I hope not. Too bad. He's hot and seems like a nice guy.

I still don't get Nick. The guy should be writing books on how to attract women without looking like Ben Z.

    Ian. Just lame(s).

Poor Josh. And props to Shawn for sticking up for him.

    I don't remember anyone else.

  3. I guess..... where is she from, Jersey?  I admit I don't know anything about what kind of food is there.

Jersey is very diverse. Upper middle class suburbs - where I'd guess her house was - should have Korean restaurants. That said, perhaps she never ventured to any of them. To someone's earlier point, though, it's not an age thing.

The shots with Molly bothered me - especially because Lauren didn't tell any of them. I get that it was a vehicle for them to all act out of character, but it just seems to encourage what could be very dangerous behavior. They could have easily been drunk and done the same things.

OK, I'll go tell someone to get off my lawn now.

  4. But I can't deny I saw something extra during this date with Whitney at the wedding. I feel she was also a strong contender all along.

I agree. If it was about her being strategic about "winning", she could have easily landed a well-to-do husband without coming on the show. Whether the relationship has lasted is anyone's guess, but I think there was a real connection at least while on the show.

  5. They've probably only had a few brief visits thus far and heavily supervised.

I don't know...if anyone wanted to be under the radar, I'd think Arlington, Iowa would be a good place to do it. You can seriously go around to everyone in town and get an NDA signed. I'm betting Whitney's practically a resident and already making playclothes for the children out of the curtains.

Ok maybe not, but the thought is funny.

  6. Wow. Best WTA ever. This was not the lovefest that was Juan Pablo's season. (I'm trying to remember what woman drama was in the house outside of Clare, who, as F2 wouldn't have been on WTA anyway. Even Sharleen, who was probably the most angst-y of the women was well-liked. Maybe everyone just directed their anger at Juan Pablo.)

First- Britt's "your hate for me comes from a place of pain" was a low blow. LOW. Knowing that Carly suffered from esteem challenges, she knew exactly where to hit. What a little manipulator. I wouldn't doubt if she had no women friends.

Second- Kelsey needs some serious help. If she's defining herself by her "amazing story", there is no chance in hell she's ready to date. If she's using it as a ploy, she's delusional. Either way, the woman isn't emotionally healthy. Part of me wonders what would have happened had she made F1.

Third- Ashley S. Girl is playing us all. She even giggled and alluded to wanting to be silly on TV. Am I dreaming that we did she the clip where she spied the "accounting department" counting cash or something? We need to see more of her.

Fourth- Jade. Not much to say here. Yeah, probably not what Chris is looking for in Arlington, Iowa. On the plus side, millions of guys now know who she is and would have zero problem.

Fifth- Kaitlyn. Seems like a cool girl. Fairly well-adjusted. As someone else mentioned, held her own with Jimmy Kimmel. [snip] Maybe because she doesn't fit the beautiful teeth / hair mold? Who knows.. [snip]

Finally- Chris. Yeah, he's kind of boring and inarticulate (betterment means something completely different than what I think he thinks), but, let's face it, he just has been around fewer people than probably average. Not belittling him at all, but compared to someone the same age living in a big city, he's going to have less experience with different types of people and situations. Added to that, he's reasonably good looking, has a loving family, and certainly rich, so he probably hasn't had to do much in way of charm.

Whoever he ends up with is going to have to deal with that, so they'd better have a strong personality and be able to understand any of his quirks and reticence. Whitney seems to be the stronger choice if this were the only requirement, but who knows, Becca's laid back demeanor may be useful, too.

  7. It drives me crazy that when Chris says he spends most of his time just staying home alone, none of the women ask him what he is doing.

I caught that too. The guy is in his 30s and can't / won't carry a conversation. What makes any of them think he's going to change once they're married and on the farm with just the 2 of them? Honestly, I think he's going to tire of Whitney's chatter. He strikes me as someone who's set in his ways, and once he's back on the farm, he's going to want things to be HIS way.

I did find it interesting that he asked Becca if her feelings are because of the show. He must have some insight into what he's bringing to the relationship.

Predict he'll pick Whitney, they'll do the obligatory 6 months, and she'll realize it's not all she imagined.

I do feel bad for Chris in some way. It can't be easy finding a wife or even a girlfriend given his location, but as ideal as it might sound, choosing from a pool of 30 women from across the US probably isn't the solution. He probably needs someone who also grew up on a farm and understands the lifestyle.
