  1. Considering she just got a job that's sending her off to DC, too...it would be rather difficult.
  2. Meh, I prefer it. And it's not like the kids haven't been mentioned or anything, we've seen them with them and they've been mentioned...but yeah, as it's been pointed out, this is a workplace comedy, NOT a family show. Not to mention the fact that a big reason for the time jump was specifically Amy not wanting to deal with being pregnant/kids since she already had two of her own. Personally, I like the approach they've had with the kids. We've seen them, and I LOVED Rachel Dratch playing the in waaaay over her head nanny. It was so fitting. Speaking of which, the bit parts/guest stars they had in this episode were so great. I mentioned Questlove before and it was SO GOOD but even Ginuwine (who I had totally forgotten was Donna's cousin), and even the family April was admonishing in the kitchen were so funny without saying anything. Also, I am totally Jen when it comes to kids, though I don't say it out loud. I worked as a preschool teacher's aide for 7 years and that is ALL I need.
  3. She's also singing it in the background in Ben's message to Jen and then says, "Oh, it's ringing!" so presumably she was making her phone calls at the same time, lol.
  4. Hey, I don't know if it's just me, but Alison's sound was being really weird at the end, like it skipped and you couldn't really tell what she was saying during the last round of GT.
  5. The Garry thing was fabulous, honestly. The fact that Donna did that, knowing exactly what would happen...I just love the relationship between those two. It's really nice. And can I say that I absolutely LOVE where they went with Ben running for Congress? Because on a lesser show, it would have been this whole dramatic thing and Leslie would have been jealous, but here she's 100% on board the minute the opportunity comes up. Like, theoretically, this could put him on the path to the White House and I totally believe Leslie would be okay with that, even though only a couple of seasons ago they were talking about her being there. That, to me, is amazing and such great character development. I like how Leslie's drunk dancing hasn't really changed but Ben's is a hell of a lot looser than it was when he came to town. I also audibly screeched when Questlove showed up as Donna's brother. It was so unexpected, yet really fitting.
  6. For the record, on Hulu he's called "Latin Lover Narrator" and I think that's actually perfect for what he is.
  7. I was cackling SO hard at that. He still listens to that same damn song, all those years later. Speaking of Lil Sebastian, the fact that the gift they passed between them is a picture of them with the mini horse in question is just so perfectly them. And the fact that he made a frame of Ann's door and KEPT IT for two years in hopes that they would make up? Killed me.
  8. "Leslie and Ron" was so great. I definitely cried a little during that montage of them making the office look like it used to. I am so so happy that the whole Ron/Leslie/Morningstar wasn't resolved at the end of the season, like I feel most shows would've done. Also, "We Didn't Start The Fire" being a big part in an episode is kind of hilarious, considering it was also a thing in an episode of The Office.
  9. "Keep Your Eyes Peeled" is my guess for the PTDP. And that Game Time was a fun GT, so I'm totally cool with it being an HOUR long. I am so very, very bad at guessing things, though. I would have gotten so few points.
  10. Is the PTDP "okie dokie?" Man, I hope someone gets it this week, I am just really bad at discerning this sort of thing.
  11. Isn't that how The Pit ending up happening on the show? They wanted to build something and then they just left it there when the company went bankrupt? That still makes me sad, though.
  12. I'm actually dreading that they're setting her up to be pregnant and I really want that to not be the case. I much prefer your take on it.
  13. I had heard of "Playing House" but Tara's description of the show (of how everyone is a decent person and whatnot) and this Canon REALLY made me want to watch it so I'm going to seek it out. So thanks for that, guys! For some reason, I thought the PTDP was "thrown into a volcano" but I'm probably wrong. I even listened to both episodes back to back and I still couldn't really figure it out.
  14. I really like season 5 and it's actually really important in terms of how it ended. You couldn't have Parker taking over at the end without certain things and I think Parker being the one who essentially gives herself up and ends up saving the guy is just reaaaallly important character development. Then again, I just love anything Parker related because she's my favorite television character of all time. I might be biased. I do, however, agree with you on the drugging thing. I wasn't the biggest fan of that but I do think the fact that it backfired HARD made me not hate it as much.
  15. Jake is a genius but not so much with numbers. His specialty is more art + history, while Cassandra is more science and math.
  16. Meh, as much as I loved WH13, I've always found the first few episodes to be clunky. Overall, I liked it. I liked character of Eve Baird, though I'm not super fond of the execution of her. I'm sure that'll be improved upon, though. I like all of the other characters, but I will say I was not a huge fan of Cassandra betraying them and setting off all the events that could end the world. I get why they had it happen the way they did, it just bugged me, I guess. I do think she redeemed herself enough and it's not like she's going to betray them she's going to betray them again, you know? I do feel like this is a good start for the series and I do like they had something blow up, much like they had something blow up in the first episode of Leverage. I'm just curious to see how they'll be able to handle the special effects here. It is a very different monster from what they had to do on Leverage (and I'm assuming they're working with the same people).
  17. According to the AMA that Dean Devlin did earlier today, they wanted to create a whole new character with Jake, and it seems like that included cutting his hair. Doesn't look like it'll be growing out any time soon, sadly.
  18. The thing about Elf is that it's the only time where Will Ferrel's schtick works. It's the only time where he's expected to be a man-child (because I mean, if you spent your life in the North Pole, you'd be a man-child, too) and he plays up the really sweet parts of it instead of the obnoxious parts. I am 100% with you on the Jovie thing, though. He's basically a big kid and it's just weird that he has this romance with the girl. I guess it's part of growing up but it's almost like the romance stuff in Big, you know?
  19. Oh, man. I love the TWIST of the Game Time. Amazing. Also, my guess for TPTDP: "Cats and Dogs living together!"
  20. This has been my Canon idea FOREVER. My problem is that I find it hard to explain the episode in 2 minutes. Also, you guys should do an episode where it's just All Game Time! That would be great.
  21. Ready, Player One!!! I loved that book so much and it would be an amazing miniseries. But yeah, it would cost a ton of money so it has to be a network willing to pay the money to do it right.
  22. Chain of Command is my guess for the phrase that doesn't pay!
  23. My guess was "Boy, oh Boy" but I doubt that. I'm gonna go with that guess, though.
  24. I was kind of hoping it was "I HAVE TO PEE" but yeah, I felt like it was That's What She Said, too. Which means I got beaten to it.
  25. It is so very, very sad how well I would have done on this Game Time. That's what I get for living in fandom circles, I guess.
