I loved seeing MW again, and then Ava started in with "he's not going to use my daughter to do that" and my heart dropped. What a disappointment that was. She doesn't know Michael well, true, but as far as I can recall she always thought of Michael as a decent person, so really the character had no reason to say that. Silas shouldn't have agreed with that because what about Ava keeping Kiki from him all those years? Silas is a doctor, so Ava not telling him about Kiki was just spite. I guess. They never really went into why she did that, I don't think. I would be up for buying/selling t-shirts!

True, it's not about Snarly, except that she will be a major caregiver in the baby's life. Her tendency to throw children out the window and go running after Sonny whenever he "needs" her will impact this child, too. As for Alexis, I still wish Michael had someone else to represent him. She was instrumental in that whole AJ signing over parental rights incident, and therefore is fair game for Ric bringing that up if he really wants to start pointing fingers (relevant to this case or not, plenty of times lawyers bring up stuff like this because whoever is listening - judge or jury - can't "unhear" it and it will influence people). She also needs to demand a paternity test! She's so interested in finding out who the father of Olivia's baby is (which is none of her business), that what? She forgot there was never one that tested Sonny for Avery's paternity? I don't think she can focus properly. Plus she has too much personal history with Sonny and Ric, and I just don't think she is able to deal with this without letting her personal feelings screw her up. I hated it when she was still trying to talk Michael out of pursuing the case, right before they went into the courtroom. Shut it, Alexis, and quit being like everyone else who tells Michael he will regret rejecting Sonny's love sometime in the future. That made me mad. Need more lawyers in PC. And a bigger dating pool for the kids Morgan's and Kiki's age, while we're making our Christmas list.

When does that t-shirt go up for sale? heh You know, if anyone ever did make t-shirts...we could raise money for charity.

Spoilers and Speculation: Clink Boom and Cheese Fondue
HipOldBat replied to BestestAuntEver's topic in General Hospital
I agree, I don't think any of the major adult females on the show - except possibly Jordan, Monica, and Tracy - are written in a positive light when it comes to criminal men. I think it's very sexist. It's like none of the women on GH have a strong sense of morality, and I just hate that. -
Yeah, Snarly had this open-mouthed expression like, "How dare you say all that good stuff about the Quartermaines!" She really lives in her own wee head. Isn't it in the police reports that she shot someone in a courtroom? And didn't Michael say he submitted police reports to the court? Come on, Alexis! Do your job! Or did Julian...um, well, do something to you that made your brains fall out? *coughing fit* I wish Michael had a different attorney, and not the one who helped Sonny take him away from AJ.

Well, to be fair, Julian probably knows how babies are made and could have bought condoms. -
Yes!! I have posted this a couple of times now. Sonny's never been tested and Alexis should bring that up, instead of worrying about who the father of Olivia's baby is - keep focused, Alexis! And Silas' remark today about "somebody else stepping up" made me wonder...I can't see him switching paternity results but it was an odd thing for him to say to Ava. Ah, Sonny and his snarky comments. And his outburst in court, showing the judge how cool-headed and mellow he is. Keep shouting out of turn, Sonny, let your true angry self shine through.

It really doesn't seem to be a secret that Sonny temporarily has Duke running things, since several people in PC have mentioned it. So does Sonny think the judge is that stupid to buy that? I feel bad for Michael because he can't go anywhere - even to Kelly's - without someone screaming at him that he's using Avery to hurt Sonny. It's overkill by the writers, and if they are trying to sway viewers against Michael I think it's backfiring. I was disappointed that Ava said Michael was using Avery to stick it to Sonny - so now Ava, while not being a Sonny fan, is still the mouthpiece for the "Michael's just vengeful" point of view. And I think that's a really one-dimensional p.o.v. It's not hard to believe that Michael might actually be concerned for the baby, given his character. I like it that Teresa Castillo might have a bigger role in the future, so I think it's great that Sabrina is Michael's friend. I do wish Monica would make an appearance, though - and I was hoping that the judge that ruled in Maxie's case would be the judge in this one. That would make fine drama. (I know, IRL he would have to recuse himself but GH is never realistic so...)

Aaarrggh! Before tonight, no one was writing in the comments section of Hulu, regarding GH...now, it seems as if the Sonny fans decided to spew their nonsense there, too. All hating Michael, of course, and all still yakking about Sonny "who loves his kids." Is there no escape from these people?? Loved Michael relating all the reasons why Avery isn't safe - awesome job! I guess Silas had to tell Ava sometime what was happening but what did he mean by, "Not unless someone else steps up"? I wonder, who did he mean? Not Kiki, as she has already given up that idea. I would love to see Ava fight for Avery but I have no idea how the writers are going to get her out of the legal fix she's in. They can't bring AJ back, especially after that surreal "stairway to heaven" bit they did when he died, so...I can't work out how they're going to do it. Grr@Sonny demanding of Michael, "Can I have my baby now?" He's so full of himself, seeing everyone as a possession. He still just doesn't get why this is happening to him, or how anything he could have possibly done to make him the not-so-ideal father. "It's not Mr. Corninthos' fault that some hitman is a bad shot." Really, Ric? Did you think that was at all intelligent to say? I wish the writers would just have Elizabeth be done with Ric, for good. They don't do much with her character except make her look vapid and flighty, and it would be nice to see the actress get a better storyline. I guess it's just reflective of how the writers see women.

What business is it of Julian's?? Oh boy! If only...I really like the way you think!! -
Yes, I remember that...but they didn't actually test Sonny, they tested Snarly and found she wasn't related. No one actually tested Sonny, so I don't necessarily believe he is the father. I wonder why they don't test him? That would seem a no-brainer thing for Alexis to ask about. I stopped watching GH for a long time so I have no idea where that is - off the coast of Greece or something? Nevertheless, Helena always seems to know what's going on in PC so it seems odd to me that she wouldn't know that Spencer is hurt. I don't know which person said she was a Bratz doll, but ever since then that is how I think of her - she really does look like one, sad to say. It would be hard for anyone to play Kiki at this point, I think, and making her a Sonny fan is not going to help viewers adjust to this new one. Why can't they fob him off on the Disney channel?? I don't have anything against the little actor, it's just...well...his scenes in the hospital where he doesn't sound injured at all (his responsibility, and I mean his affect, not the dialogue)...I think maybe his skill set would be better developed on a kiddie show. I don't want to slam the kid, I just don't see a good fit here.
-
Oh and where exactly did Nik send Helena? Is it on another planet, because you would think with all her ears and eyes on PC she would know that Spencer is in hospital.

Or they go upstairs and are never seen again. -
If anyone gets Michael to drop that suit, it will piss me off to no end. It did kind of seem like that's the way it's going though, judging by the Snarly-Michael interaction. Michael just kind of sat there, letting Snarly tell him how he would be keeping the baby from both families and on and on. Honestly, how can they make that character be calm when half (or more) of the audience is shouting at their TVs for Snarly to shut up?? And even Alexis seemed like she was trying to get Michael to drop the case. I hate hate hate it that everyone in PC is down on Michael, when he's doing the right thing. And Kiki....tsk tsk. She just had to jump on the Sonny train with everyone else.

Spoilers and Speculation: Clink Boom and Cheese Fondue

Actually like the actress who did the announcement better than NuKiki. She at least had some life to her. Pity she wasn't the recast. -
Highlight of today's show: When Michael was holding Avery, she obviously saw someone off-camera who she loves (or who was making googly baby faces for her), and she started bouncing up and down with that big, toothless grin! Omg I love that baby! She's so adorable! Really sick of Morgan. And I know I am in the minority here, but I liked the old Kiki. I don't like the new Kiki, but that's possibly because her character is being all Sonny-worshipping and stuff. She seems like her emotional range goes from A to B. Meh. And I don't think that one talk with Franco should have made her change her mind about Sonny. Everytime someone says, "But Sonny is her father," I yell at the TV, "We don't know that for sure!!" Why hasn't anyone, particularly Alexis, mentioned that?? When's the paternity test? I don't want Morgan to be the father, either, and would like Ron to re-write it so that someone I don't hate is the father. Because to me, Morgan is a stupid-head who never stops to think about anything. Regarding the intro of the new actress, I liked it. I thought it was clever. TC is really good at crying. I guess that whole talking to himself thing wasn't psychosis, or the stress of Spencer being hurt would have turned Nikolas into a raving person in need of Haldol. I liked how Dr. O kept her cool and did the right thing, loved the shout-out to Shriner's (my niece had heart surgery and it was free because my sister couldn't afford it), and was gratified that Elizabeth said nice things to Dr. O. I just don't see Dr. O as evil, like the rest of the villains, but that could just be because I love KG. (Even though she's going to be in an internet series that has vampires or something in it) Glad to see Ava is back. I have to admit, the first time Franco said "Phyllis", I laughed. I am easily amused. How are the writers going to spring Franco from the hospital, and keep him from going back to prison? Ugh, Nina's "that's my baby" comment. Is she doing that to get put back into the hospital? That's dumber than, say, sneaking in to see Franco, disguised as someone else (which is what I thought she was going to do).

Unspoiled Spec: "$40k, someone long dead is resurrected."
HipOldBat replied to BestestAuntEver's topic in General Hospital
Even more boring, in my opinion, would be for Helena to actually explain why she's doing what she's doing. It would take forever, and it would have to make sense, and I don't think the writers have any interest in weaving a tale from all the GH history (that they ignore). -
1. We're all supposed to forget about any inconsistencies in storylines, because Ron knows best, or 2. Ron decides to take the story in another direction, on whatever whim he has at the moment, or 3. Both.
-
Yeah, if he's getting paid to look into the Patricia thing, he really ought to get his own place.
-
Hope you feel better soon! I like your funny posts. Lol if he's in the Shelby County prison he's probably dead.

I agree. It's a bit extreme. -
I like that little girl who plays Emma. During the scene where she runs in to tell Nikolas and her dad that the place is on fire, all I could think of was she was clearly the most talented actor in the room. She really is a pretty good actress, in my opinion. Why does Sam always sound like she's on opiates? It's really beginning to annoy me. Regarding Spencer - I don't want to see the kid leave the show. It's not his fault the writing is shit.

Aaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! -
Re: Spencer - yeah, I've seen you guys write about how much they love NB, which is why I found it so confusing about what they're doing to his character. Your explanation makes sense. I guess C&V really do just write for themselves and not the audience... It would be a stretch to make Nathan appear intelligent, so true. Maybe he could get a job as a masseuse and be the 'go-to guy' when characters want to chat about their messed-up lives (a version of what used to be a soap opera matron inviting characters in for tea). He wouldn't have to say much, and he could keep his shirt off all the time. He's too Ken Doll-like for my taste but I know a lot of women like his shirtless self!

Rehearsing, yes! That would explain the pauses, though it's still odd and, like you, I wonder who he was rehearsing to tell...
