  1. I find Kasie totally annoying. It's not that I don't think there could ever be a replacement for the Abby character, it's that Kasie is hyper and doesn't seem to care why the rest of the team is subdued.
  2. This ad is weird and annoying, and I almost feel embarrassed for "Jamie" crying at the end - if I didn't want so badly to yell at him to cut it out.
  3. I love the song in the Transitions ad, so much so that I looked up the original song/video (The Sun, Parov Stelar feat. Graham Candy): Graham Candy is the singer - he's a 27 yr old singer/dancer/songwriter from New Zealand. I would love to have this song for my ringtone, but I can't find it on Zedge or other ringtone sites. Very happy and uplifting.
  4. Besides the obvious problem with the term "crippled", they help kids with a variety of problems. My niece had to have heart surgery as a small child and they performed that on her, for free.
  5. Kudos to the actors in this ad, as they are super-annoying. Especially the white-haired man who passive-aggressively asks, "Are we trying to air condition the entire neighborhood?" I want to punch him. Then there's this one: It creeps me out, right down to the matching sweaters.
  6. I'm ashamed to admit that, had this been a thing when I was a child, I would have loved it! I was a weird kid.
  7. I'm just glad that Shriner's dropped the "for crippled children" in their hospital's name. I thought that was disgusting.
  8. I really hate that commercial. It hits me as a "aww, banks are really the good guys out to help you" manipulation that is kind of the antithesis of what I recall Donovan stood for. But, I'm an old bat like that heh.
  9. I guess it really depends on the person, then. I have had chicken pox 4 times - once as a child, and once after each of my 3 kids had it. So, for me, an additional vaccine is probably a good idea.
  10. My pharmacist is having me come back in 6 weeks for a second vaccine against shingles. He says it's "recommended" because so many people still got shingles with only the one vaccine.
  11. YES. I really hate this ad. SHUT.UP.ALREADY! And they ruin a perfectly good song, too. The other ad that bugs me is the Linzess ad, because it should say "children YOUNGER THAN", not "LESS THAN". I am one of those weirdos who hates the "10 items or less" signs at the supermarket, too.
  12. I will watch anything, and I do mean anything, that Johnny Depp is in. Hubba hubba!
  13. You wrote a question about something I didn't even mention. You know, I left last time because people take this all so seriously, as if debating the finer points of philosophy, and honestly I find it annoying. You were picking a fight, and I don't appreciate it.
  14. I really would like to see Brad and Lucas come back. Probably not going to happen, though. Re: the ER...yeah, you never see anyone in there like a kid with a broken arm or mundane stuff like that. Just for background. No one ever has to wait to be seen, it seems. I didn't say she made up for that. I just expressed MY OPINION that redeemed characters are more interesting to me.
  15. I like Obrecht because, in general, I like soap characters who get redeemed. Not "sorta redeemed" like Sonny and StJason, who never feel sorry for anything they do, no matter how heinous. I think the bad characters who get redemption are more interesting than they were when they were villains.
  16. I hate that Progressive ad where the guy can't remember Jamie's name...even though Jamie told him a few seconds before "It's me - Jamie!" I just think a lot of the ads featuring Jamie are way too mean, and stupid too. I change the channel so I don't have to hear the Panera spokesperson's annoying, smug, faux childlike voice. Though I do love Panera itself and go there when I can. I liked the Trujeo ads so much that I now follow the actor on FB lol. One ad that just enrages me is the one for Anoro. "COPD tries to say go this way, I'll go my OWN way with Anoro!" Trying to target the Baby Boomer "rebels" (I am in that target demographic), and it comes off so patronizing and, I don't know...I just hate it. But then again, I hate all commercials that use our generations' songs to sell stuff. "Be a rebel, use our drug." Ugh.
  17. I thought RP was just taking a break from GH in order to play a villain in a movie: http://www.abc.soapsindepth.com/posts/general-hospital-ryan-paevey-leaving-villain-movie-123530/photos/ryan-paevey-outdoors-01-226653
  18. Cosentyx has come up with an even more annoying commercial, in my opinion. It starts out with a woman coming down the stairs, saying, "Psoriatic arthritis tries to get in my way - watch me" and then she goes into the kitchen to make sandwiches. SANDWICHES. If you're in so much pain you can't even put a piece of cheese on a piece of bread, you need to go to the ER. I know this is a painful condition - my friend has it - but please. The woman looks so snarky, as if to say, "I'm so healthy I can make a sandwich, not like those OTHER losers with psoriatic arthritis!" Then, later on in the commercial, one of the other characters smirks at the camera and asks, "Do you think I'd miss the chance to show them how it's done?" Ugh, big-ego lady, get over yourself already. One gets the idea that Cosentyx not only helps your arthritis, but it gives you an attitude as well. I just want to slap all of them. Oh, and all the people who mentioned the commercial that tries to guilt people for having to rush to the bathroom all the time (and disappoint their loved ones)...you're right, it's a horrible way to sell anything, especially medicine. All of us who are familiar with that sprint to public bathrooms feel bad enough without having a drug company guilt-trip us.
  19. Been seeing this one for Preservision that past couple of days. I swear she is saying, in the beginning, "I'm a spider". I guess it's "I'm a fighter" but I never hear it that way: https://www.ispot.tv/ad/wWar/preservision-areds-2-why-eye-fight
  20. Yeah, I still don't get it. Seems really out of character for Julian. Also, if someone is trying to "go straight", why have any dealings with Sonny? His coffee business is his "legit business front", but still, why deal with him at all? I figured Sonny was going to hit him for protection money, but if that's the case he didn't do a very convincing job of it. I guess maybe more will be revealed as time goes on...
  21. Maybe I missed something today when I was fast-forwarding through much of the show today (St Jason and Sam, not interested; Maxie's hysterics, not interested; Lulu's dumb plan, not interested...), but why do we see Julian opening boxes of Corinthos Coffee? Why didn't he just tell Sonny to get lost? Even if he thought Sonny's idiots threw a brick through his window, why would he care? He's hardly the wimpy type. I don't get it.
  22. Spinelli. Ugh. That's all I have to say today.
  23. The character I dislike the most is Reese. She's supposed to be a psychiatrist but now she's afraid of psychotic patients? She also doesn't seem to have very much clinical knowledge, and her annoying lack of insight into her own issues makes her uniquely unsuitable to work with, well, anyone really. A close second on my hate list is Natalie. Her moralism is unprofessional and off-putting. Close behind her is Robin, who doesn't even have the brains to do reality checks when it comes to "hearing things" (the episode before this, I was yelling at the TV, "maybe there actually IS something in the ceiling, why don't you just look??"), and now she's shoplifting. I just don't care about most of these characters. I watch because I like medical shows, in general, but this one needs a major character overhaul.
  24. I don't get those ads. When I play a game, and I can't get past a level for a certain period of time, I just uninstall it. I guess I'm not as patient as others. Have to say, though, I do like the one with the cat crashing through the wall. I lol at that one.
  25. Do you mean this ad? Her name is Vivian Dominguez and yes, she is an actress. But she also has breast cancer. https://vivavivian.org/ Can't speak to the others, but St Jude's gets an 88.7% rating from Charity Navigator. I have 2 friends who work at St. Jude's, and a few friends whose children were patients there, and it's a very good organization. I donate to them every year.
