  1. I could be wrong, because the first 'America's Got Talent' was so long ago, that I can't remember it very well.  I got the impression that the people auditioning actually did live in America.  They may have immigrated from other countries, but I thought they were mainly Americans.  Now the show is so big that people win AGT in their own countries and just travel around going on any talent show that will take them.  It's almost as if, being on talent shows is their career.

  2. I haven't watched all of it.  I saw the part where they were auditioning dancers.  Simon dismissed the first ones saying their act was "too dated".  The second pair looked better than the first pair and he dismissed them as well.  Does Simon  think he can't sell modern dancers to the public?  Or did they just not have a sob story like the golden buzzer dancers?

  3. I found this show on both Amazon and Hulu.  I found it on TV first.  It seems like this is my first run through with all the swearing not edited out.  I always hate when I get to end, because I know there aren't any more episodes.  I have never seen the movie - I think you have to pay for it on Prime.

I was watching an episode of 'Smallville', today.  I have never seen this series.  However Greg Kean showed up as a guest.  He played a father who lost his daughter.

Overall, while I enjoyed the entire reboot series, this final ever episode was a bit of a letdown.

Some originality would have been nice.  It's always the same wedding "curse".  All this stuff goes wrong.  By some miracle, they were able to salvage the day and have a beautiful wedding.   They booked a church - or hall or whatever it was, but all the people they invited fit into their backyard.

  5. I was watching 'Dead Like Me' for the, I don't know how many, time.  Second season "Ghost Story" episode and I thought I heard a voice I recognized.  I looked up and it was The Golum.  The funny thing was, the character sitting with him said something like "I love real man of letters".

While I was scrolling IMDB to see if it was actually him, I noticed that the actor has been 4 different characters, on 'Supernatural', over the years.

  6. I was betting on all three announcing they were pregnant.  Although, I thought Steph used up her eggs trying to get Kimmy pregnant.  I admit, that might have been a different show I was watching.

The leaving and coming back at the end was weird.  It was like they are oddly co-dependent.

  7. The first act - the contortionist - was really not very polished.  She is probably the least talented of this sort of act, who has been on the show.  I don't believe she has ever had dance lessons, because she had very little finesse or grace.  That is not the real problem I had with this act.  I thought it came off as sexualized.  The weird bending in front of the Simon poster.  The picking the pearl necklace up with her teeth.  Maybe I'm old and just read too much into things, but I thought it was odd and really not done well.

I zoned out during the trio singing Dionne Warwick.  Oddly enough, Simon told the  A Capella group that they were dated.  "What the World Needs Now" is a classic, but hardly a new song.  I have to agree though, the quartet wasn't very good.  I don't know if they deserved to get buzzed though.  Someone who was listening can probably fill me in on the trio.

The girl who was told she was too big to dance, was just plain not a good dancer.  She was limited with very repetitive moves.  I was hoping she would be wonderful, but she wasn't.  Simon was just pandering when he said he loved all of it.

I don't know what the 13 year old girl, in black, was singing.  I have no interest in the progress of her career.

The old comic had the one good bit about the peanut allergy.

Celina was another talent show singer who sounds like all the other talent show singers.

I have no idea what was going on with the magic duo guys.

Those two guys came all the way from India to be on this show?  It was a cute routine, but I don't know how far they can go with this act.

What a waste of perfectly good t-shirts.  I have to admit though.  Terry Crews looks good at 51.  I didn't wait around long enough to find out if the guy made it though.  However I heard something about balancing on a Swiss ball with a Samurai sword, so I assume it pushed him towards the next round.

When the lady said she did body sculpting with body fat or something, I thought that was going to be the act.  You just never know with this show.  Some songs should never be covered.

  8. Aside from the obvious feature of freezers having handles on the inside, I was wondering why it took them so long to break the window.

Other than that, DJ has a lot of control issues.  If Steph's dinner failed, it was her's to fail.  Or succeed.  DJ needs to suck it up sometimes and let people do their thing.

I loved the Josh character (Ben).  I actually loved “Grandfathered,” Stamos and Peck play really well off each other.

I knew Josh was from Drake and Josh.  I watched 'Grandfathered'.  I did not get the connection between the two until now.  I thought the audience was clapping just because he was Josh.  I forgot he was in it.  The only actor I remember from 'Grandfathered' was John Stamos.

  10. The recording of this episode was all messed up because of the storm coverage.

It didn't matter.  This show was so effing boring.  I've never fast forwarded through so much before.

From the acts I saw, Sophia didn't have much to pick from.  However, I don't think giving the 10 year old the GB was the best thing for the girl.  She was so nervous.  It seemed like she could have used the auditions to get her nerves in order.  Throwing her straight into the finals might be a mistake.

Osama did make me laugh.  Nobody auditioning on this show has ever done that.  Especially in these times where I'm not in the laughing mood.

Otherwise, total waste of time tonight.

I watched "Smallville" from the first day all the way until the end in S10. I enjoyed it very much and hope you do as well. The only "spoiler" I'm going to say is that I thought they did a better job than Supernatural has done in its later seasons.

I think the show has been good so far.  I don't know how many episodes I watched yesterday, but I started in the afternoon and kept watching til probably after midnight.

I haven't looked, but I wonder if the same person did the incidental music for both shows.  It kind of sounds the same.

I think that AGT is likely going to push the social media impersonator to show that they can connect with a younger audience.

The Masked Singer has been doing this as well.  It's kind of annoying.

  13. I don't know if any of these shows were ever about real talent.  If they were they would get real judges to critique them rather than celebrities.

They seem to be more of a popularity contest rather than best act on the show.

  14. I didn't realize AGT was starting up again.  It recorded so I watched it.

My very first thought was WTF... Heidi is back.  Why?  I thought she was just back for the summer shows.

I liked the pigs.  I'm glad they went through.  I hope it shows people how smart they really are.  On the flip side, I hope people don't start buying pigs because they think they would be be cool to have around the house.  Kind of like a cute dog they don't know how to handle.

I also thought prison dude was going to be the golden buzzer.  So many sob stories, you never know which one it's going to be.  Except that it's generally the last act of the auditions.  Not always, but it's common.

I didn't think the choir was particularly good.  I thought their leader had some talent.  I also think what they're doing is admirable.  The song was catchy.  I had it in my head for a while after the show was over.  I'm glad they got the Golden Buzzer.  They would have gone through anyway, but I'm glad they are spotlighting this issue.  I prefer it when they use the GB this way rather than for an act that was going to go to the finals anyway.

I really liked those twin sisters.  I thought the one sister was going to barf right before they went on.

I skipped the stabby stabby man.  I can't watch those sorts of acts.  I think they are really gross.

The mentalist was okay.  Those acts kind of drag a little.

I have no recall on the other acts from last night, so apparently they weren't good enough to make an impression.

Although, writing "impression" reminded me of the impressionist.  I had no idea who he was trying to imitate.  Was he any good?  I don't know.  I don't listen to rap music.

That sincerely makes me want to slap the smug off her face. LOL.

I never liked the first Meg.  Scarecrow is one of my favorite episodes - except for the Meg story.  I used to forget she was even in the episode until it came around and I realized she was in it.
