  1. Lisa Hartman Black played Tabitha in the TV show 'Tabitha'.  The series was about a grown up Tabitha working at a local TV news station.

I think Popcorn is Cyndi Lauper.

I have heard of Brian Austin Green, but I know nothing about him.  I have never watched a show with him in it.

I kinda (just kinda) hate to be that person, but -- it's "through the wringer."  I think it's from when there were wringer washing machines (which, yes, I'm old enough to have used) that you had to push the clothes through the wringer after washing.  Being able to use the spin cycle is so much better!

It was a pun.  I think he was a wrestler.  I should have put it in quotes.  I guess it wasn't a very obvious joke.

I think it's Jason Segel. He has puppet experience, he participated in a performance at the Tonys one year when NPH hosted, the stake made me think of the Dracula number in Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I just kind of think that's his voice.

He was also in the last Muppet movie.

I watched the episode tonight.  I was spoiled about Mickey Rourke because I forgot it was Wednesday and looked at Twitter.  He was trending.  So I looked for clues I thought I would recognize.  I only know him from Angel Heart and 9 and a Half Weeks.  I saw a lot of little hearts behind him.  I thought the cooking part had something to do with feeding food to Kim Basinger.  I never actually saw the movie but I saw a couple of short clips from it.  I thought Mickey was drunk as he couldn't remember the lyrics and he was wandering around aimlessly.  He was kind of a looker in Angel Heart.  Now he looks like he's been through the ringer.

While I know it isn't him, I was getting a sort of Weird Al vibe from Whatchamacallit.  Just the way he moved and touched his hair.  The costume reminded me of an old hippie.

I wasn't that impressed with the sea horse.  I thought her voice was kind of soft.  Mostly, I zoned out while she was singing so I lost all interest in her all together.

Otherwise, the clues aren't helping me at all.  The judges were throwing out names for one of the girl singers that I have no clue who they are.

  4. I was thinking Toni Braxton or Jordan Sparks for Popcorn, but I will go along with Taylor Dane.

I have no guesses on anyone else.

Donnie and Marie did cross my mind.  In the clue package, it looked like the girl owl was getting dropped off at her own home.  I think it would be odd for Donnie to do this show again but maybe he had a good time the first time around.

Genevieve Padalecki has been cast in a recurring role in WALKER as Walker's late wife who died in mysterious circumstances...she will be in flashbacks.

I'm pretty sure that was the plot of Lethal Weapon the TV series.

I found Gen to be very strange casting when she was on Supernatural.  Kind of odd looking with bad hair and a speech impediment. Not a very good actress.  I didn't find Jensen's wife to be much of an actress either.  I'm glad they're all happy with each other though.  They both seem to have found things to fall back on.

On a side note, did you enjoy Smallville as a series? I only watched the first 5 seasons, so I'm wondering if it's worth it for me to go back and give the rest a try.

I wouldn't want to say.  I enjoyed the show - in general.  10 seasons is a long series.  Taking a break at season five was probably a good idea.  You might enjoy the final five seasons.

  7. I have been re-watching 'Lucifer' from the beginning.  I am in season 3.  I did not know who Tom Welling was the first time I watched season 3.  I found 'Smallville' this year and watched all ten seasons.  During this 'Lucifer' re-watch, I realized there were several nods to Superman that went right over my head, at the time.

I'm doing a rewatch as Netflix is dropping it on Sept. 21st.

Really?  That's disappointing.  I re-watched this not that long ago.  It's one of those TV shows you could find randomly while surfing channels and you would stop and watch it.

  9. I just finished the entire series.  I never watched it before, but I found it on Hulu.  One can get really tired of the characters when you watch too many episodes at a time.  They all have their same facial expressions when something bad happens and they go to - what used to be - a commercial break.  There is something to said for the standard one episode per week.

Season 8 was horrible.  The series should have ended before this mess.

I didn't care for the mess up timeline progression.

I hated the character of Chloe throughout the entire series.

I watched the final episode last night.  I have to admit, I don't understand what happened and how he saved everybody.  I will probably have to watch the end of the show again to try and figure just what went on in those final moments of saving everyone.

I thought the casting for Lex Luthor was great.

  10. I have reached season 10 of Smallville.  I only note this because the episode called "Harvest", that I just watched, is so similar to "Scarecrow".  People in the crowd were walking around in scarecrow head wear.  It was more or less the same concept.

Madge, the lady god from the Christmas episode was in this.  Also the guy who played the Ruguru hunter.  I knew he looked familiar.  I looked him up on IMDB just to make sure it wasn't him in the "Scarecrow" episode.

I was just driving along and ‘He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother’ came on the radio. I turned up the volume and wondered why this song has never been used on the series (to my knowledge). Maybe too expensive?

Other than being a song that would be a great fit for this show, I don't think money is an issue.  Either no one has suggested it or it's a copyright issue.  'Supernatural' doesn't seem to have money issues for much more contemporary songs.

  12. There seemed to be a lot of yeses after they had to perform on a monitor.

If this is how the season is going to go, I don't think I can watch.  I thought the episodes with the judges alone with no audience were fine.  Watching people perform over the internet sucks.  For some reason it reminds me of that stupid Corona beer ad.

I'm not sure why they needed all that time at the end to recap the season so far.  I had to FF through all of it.

Nothing that impressed me at all this time around.  I kind of feel like I've seen the actor in the chicken suit before.  Like the guy who auditioned as the slug and something else the year before that.  I think the chicken may have done a bad audition for them as another character.

Didn't know where to put this, so I decided this was probably the best guess. I've never watched or read any spoilers on the show since it began, so obviously I stay out of our spoiler topics here. But with our extended hiatus, I decided to read the "Spoilers with Speculation" thread. I've really enjoyed reading all the ideas and scenarios you guys have thought about some of the spoilers put there. I recognize all our posters and love the ideas and discussion even if it turned out very differently than thought. I'm still in S14, so once I get too close to our current time, I'll have to stop reading. Too bad. At this point, with the lousy writing, I'm not sure why I care, but I guess I want to finish the series not knowing anything in advance of the finale.

I unfollowed most of the cast and crew of Supernatural, on Twitter.  I don't want to know anything about what's coming up.  What they don't think are spoilers, to me are spoilers.

I can't speak for others but, my excuse is multiple re-watches, especially lately during Madness of Corona.

I get that.  The actors are also 15 years older.  People can change quite a bit in that amount of time.

I got to the end of season 6 of 'Smallville'.  There was a little boy in the episode.  I thought it was Todd - as in "Kneel before Todd!".  I thought it would be funny if they hired the same kid, because of the whole Smallville thing, he got the super strength and Kneel before Todd line.  I looked up the kid on IMDB.  I was wrong.  It was the kid who played Even in "Everybody Loves A Clown".  I can't even tell the kids apart.

Just saw the actress who was the crossroad demon in "Crossroad Blues", playing the proud owner of a GM luxury vehicle.

I think there were two crossroad demons in that episode.  Was it the demon with Robert Johnson or the demon with Dean?

My other question is, how do you spot these actors?  They had about five minutes of screen time and they were on the show 15 years ago.

  16. Tons of mediocre "talent" on tonight.  I used the FF forward function (my version of the big red x) to get through these acts - starting with the woman comedian. I was bored with the unicycle guy.  So I red "Xed" him.

The song the Olympian did wasn't very good.  I wouldn't go as far as terrible, but really not worthy of performing for money.  I didn't notice if her voice was any good.  I was too distracted by the bad song.

The kid who played the piano and the drums didn't seem to be at any exceptional level of playing.  I didn't enjoy the drumming at all.  To me, it didn't seem to mesh with the song he was drumming to.

The girl with all the blindness in her family wasn't a very good singer.

The kid with the cello didn't seem that advanced.  I wouldn't call him a prodigy.  My Favorite Things is kind of a rudimentary song it seems like.

I don't think the song "Til There Was You" is a cheesy song.  The Music Man is one of my favorite musicals.  My first exposure to the song came from The Beatles.  I always loved it.  It's too bad that couple didn't know how to do any magic.

I kind of believe that some of the buzzed acts are just fillers.  They probably crew members who are brought out to do an act - badly.  LIke the air guitar guy.  Maybe they bring these guys out while they are setting up for the next act.

Interesting hearing about this virus that's going around.  It kind of gives a timestamp on when the auditions started.

This episode did not have any potential winners in it.  It even started out with some cheerleader squad.  I didn't listen to their package, but by looking at them, I don't believe they were runner ups in any state competition or any competition.

  17. I think I played Gishwes for three years.  It was great the first year, but the consecutive years just went downhill.  They were never as fun as the first.  I'm also more into arts and crafts.  Two of the years were pretty light in those areas.  It didn't hold my interest anymore.

I have reached season 5 of 'Smallville'.  It's weird not being able to comment anywhere.  Mostly because the show is old, but also if I look at the forum, I will see spoilers.  So many thoughts on what is going on.

  18. Big nothing tonight until the final act.  He was very graceful and looked like a dancer on ribbons.

I like Eric Stonestreet.  His "That was just okay", was pretty honest.  He was right.  Nothing anywhere near V. Unbeatable.

The guy from Australia had no finesse at all.  He was just moving around with little grace.  Should not even be mentioned in the same sentence with other very famous dancers.

This seemed be a highly "gross out" night.  I'm not sure why they lumped all this together.   A bug eyed "rapper" and some contortionists.  I could not watch.

I was on the other side of the kitchen when the card magician was on.  He made weird faces and from my perspective he looked like he was sitting on a toilet.  I expected him to poop out a card.

I didn't recognize the song either, but I don't think any self respecting rock singer would perform one of her songs.
