  1. Couldn't agree more with the critiques in this thread. It has really lost its way and fallen hard and fast. I really despise how marginalized Diane and well, everyone who isn't named Alicia, has become. If they have to trudge down the campaign trail for an entire season, couldn't the others have some decent stories that showcase their talents, too, like it used to be? Less Alicia might go a long way towards fixing things. On a lighter note, the height of failure has been that they couldn't even get it right and properly utilize Matthew Goode's top notch flirtation skills and charismatic self as a love interest. Now that Downton has stolen their thunder and scored big on that front..they are all but Finn's coming back in every article. Too late.
  2. Matthew Goode Hits It Big With ‘Good Wife,’ ‘Downton Abbey’ Roles He sounds excited about Henry. I will be surprised if he is back on The Good Wife for season 7 due to all that's going on in his life. He made the most of his three Finn minutes an episode but thus far, they haven't given him much to do at all.
  3. -Another one...Matthew Goode Hits It Big With ‘Good Wife,’ ‘Downton Abbey’ Roles (DA spoiler)

  5. How funny and interesting given the current Matthew Goode situation! The Elfmann thing seems so out of left field. I guess I could buy it if there had been a transition scene of some kind with Finn that truly friendzoned him. Instead, the show jumped from the cute diner segment and the flirty debate moment to wham! she's kissing Elfmann and he's now making goo goo eyes at her. I felt like I had been had by the writers.
  6. Surprisingly, The Good Wife has not given Matthew Goode very much screen time. He has a very "contained or limited" story so far in season 6. Still, he's been able to develop a fan base for the character. Interestingly, he referred to Finn as a "smallish role" in an interview on Huffington Post. It makes one wonder if the Downton Abbey deal was already in place when they asked him to be a regular on The Good Wife and they're hedging their bets or something. As someone who watches both programs, it appears Henry is more of a sure thing than Finn at this time.
