  1. I’ve only been sporadically watching the show since it came back after the election. This is mostly because he is stuck in a loop of the same crap and his viewpoint is not educated or supported by facts (i.e. his obesity rants and cancel culture rants). So seeing that McWhorter was a guest I proceeded with caution. And while I think McWhorter is dismissive of many people’s lived experience, I did have to laugh at his mocking of people “doing the work”. His tone just tickled me. I do support people trying to learn more about race and racism but hey, here’s an idea... no need to performatively post about it on social media.

That TikTok clip underscored how desperate Tiffany is to get into the entertainment biz. Problem is, Margaret Cho was ahead of her by 20 years (mimicking family members). And Margaret was funny.

I'm waiting for another husband to fall by the wayside. I've thought all along that Jeremy would be long gone if not for the money. He's basically a kept man. His attempts to portray the loving, supportive husband are utterly transparent.

I was just thinking Margaret Cho has been doing that bit for decades and with more wit and subtlety. However Kam can shut it. It’s not her place.

Great ending. Only sad part was Leroy walking away with nothing . . . but he took it like a champion. If he does come back (either on the "regular" series or All Stars) we wouldn't hold it against him, right? Fuck it . . . if The Amazing Race starts up again one day, he and Kam can run it after taking a few years off.

People might give Nany shit for falling short in the end, but any lack of effort on her part was so tiny compared to Fessy. Oh my GAWD, he's gonna be the new villain . . . or at least the pain in the ass that BMP can always call to make it about himself. I'm a little upset Teege didn't unload on him for not eating and letting Kaycee down. Well, there is the Reunion. I think Part One is everyone taking shots at him. How bad is Fessy? Josh > Fessy. I didn't even think that shit was possible.

It’s  going to be hard to judge Amber for her win. I think editing shortchanged her. I don't think she rode on Darrell's back for most of the season or CT's back for the final mission, but I feel like I still don't know her. You can come to me next month, present me with both Ambers, and I'd probably guess wrong about the one that won $450K.

CT is now a certified G.O.A.T. candidate, yes? Darrell also has four titles, but that was so long ago. I don't think he deserves all the credit for the win, but he did a lot of heavy lifting. Of course, there will probably be speculation whether BMP made it easy for him, especially with the "Security Breach" that allowed him to take Josh's Skull, Aside from that and viciously cutting Big T off, he played a great game. He wound up winning with Amber, and they were together on that one mission. That's impressive on both sides, but I think the final pairings added to CT's degree of difficulty. That would have happened even if he wound up with Nany or Kaycee (the other women he didn't work with).

Cory and Kam can probably write their tickets back to the show. Cory pounding on the fourth wall with Fessy's failures was priceless.

ETA for MTV: I don’t give two shits about your new dating show, and that was BEFORE you forced Ashley down my throat.

I would LOVE to see Kam and Leroy on Amazing Race. They would be, well.... amazing. 😀

  4. I so wish it would have been anything but a hall brawl. I think Kyle could have taken Fessy out on most other things. Fessy was harmless last season but now.... his level of arrogance is intolerable.

I think Corey is basically a good dude so I feel bad for him that Kam went along with that hairbrained plan for even a minute. Also I fear if push comes to shove in a final she is going to prioritize Leroy over her own partnership. I get it, but it just sucks for Corey.

  5. Two lines in this episode that stick with me...

Becky in her talking head about the finer things that everyone should have the “right to earn”. Bitch, what? As if she earned anything.

Julie talking about taking her kids to Selma. “She wasn’t unsafe, she was just uncomfortable. You don’t have to be happy and comfortable all the time.” Yes!!!

Those two moments crystallized the vast difference between those two women.

  6. I think CT picked Big T because if she had been rogue she would have had no opportunity for a skull. As others have pointed out, whomever he picked was going to land him in the crater next week so he chose to help out Big T to make up for how he treated her.

  7. Very sorry to see Darrell go. I was hoping Cory would be the house vote then Aneesa and Kyle could have sent in Nany and Fessy as revenge for the partner switch.  Then I was hoping it would be a double elimination and Big T would take out Nany’s entitled ass in addition to Cory taking out Fessy. I think Cory would have won that elimination against anyone currently left in the house.

  8. The edit on this episode was gross. We spent two fricking hours on Rachael’s feelings. Other than Matt’s conversation with his father this whole episode was from Rachael’s perspective. Barf.

I forgot the accompanying adjective, but Boat Shoe is the appropos Oliver descriptor for Carlson...

I believe it was human boat shoe. It’s my favorite Tucker insult thus far although they are all quite good.

Picking Darrell, in hindsight, wasn't a good move but this elimination was the most evenly split elimination for Devin. It wasn't direct contact or strength related. If there was ever an elimination where Devin could challenge someone like Darrell and have a decent chance of winning, it's this elimination.

Whether Darrell won that elimination or not, I think calling Darrell down was a favor because it was starting to look like Darrell wasn't gonna have a chance to go in.

I can't help but think now, he should chosen Fessy and burn the house down on his way out, if Devin had lost.

Devin's commentary was the best of the season, like Aneesa's was on Total Madness. If their interviews were posted online, I would binge watch them all.

I also thought he should have picked Fessy.  It was the kind of challenge where Devin actually had a shot against just about anyone. Why not go for the male head of the BB alliance.

  11. Megyn remains a complete asshole. IF what she says is true about the curriculum at the schools any points she could have made were lost in her smugness. Watching two rich white people talk about how racism isn’t as bad now as in the past just doesn’t sit well with me.  People do need to be able to discuss these things, but Megyn and Bill sailed right by the point.

Bill also sailed right by the point in his Chris Harrison rant. The problem with Harrison wasn’t that he wouldn’t throw the old south party girl under the bus. It’s the way Harrison spoke to the interviewer, a black woman, and his refusal to acknowledge for a second the importance of the effect of such things as old south parties on people of color. He was completely consumed with the white girl’s feelings while completely disregarding the impact of these kinds of parties. The interview is quite something when watched in its entirety. But predictably Bill sees a rich white guy suffer some consequences so he immediately takes his side.

Actually I am wrong, because I thought for sure TJ told them.  I would love to chalk it up to me getting the seasons confused or something like that, but I was flat out wrong.😄  By what you just said and by what Joanne says in the next quoted post below.

The only time I was ever team Josh was when he was on Big Brother.  And that was only during the first and last episodes of the season he won.  I was team Josh during the first episode as he was targeted for early elimination and I thought he was slow (I am not trying to be mean here or not PC, I just cannot think of a better term to call him without being an asshole).  I wanted to see him get a chance.  Then I over the course of the season I came to realize what an asshole he was.  During the final episode I was team Josh because he was, if you can believe this, in a final three with two people who were even more odious than him.

One was a woman with mental problems who tried to/actually did (?) try to run someone over with a car.  The other person was a hateful troll.  So yeah Josh was the best out of the worst.

As @aghst said, Hall Brawl is often mismatched which makes me not want to see it.  I watch MMA and I would not bat an eye at the violence that happens in a fight, but there are weight classes there and they are trained athletes.  On this show you have people like shorter Amber going in against Amber B. and Amber B. saying, "Yeah I play rugby."  I thought it was a mismatch before that talking head, but once I heard that I was like, "Good god short Amber is going to be destroyed."  That to me is not interesting to watch.

Just like if they were to put Devin against CT.  I would not want to see that happen.

Yes... after reading all the comments I realize why I was confused. Once the first elimination was female, then there appeared to be an order to things you could count on as far as alternating male and female eliminations. Then all of the unexpected departures threw a wrench into things and it’s all a bit more uncertain since they aren’t straight up alternating. Thanks all for setting me straight.

  13. I’m very confused. I feel like in the first few craters they told the people whether it was male or female day. Then they appear to have stopped doing that. But tonight, all the commentary once they were at the crater seemed to indicate the cast knew it was a girls day. I understand Gabby’s decision IF they were unsure whether it was guys or girls day, but there was no discussion at the crater about that reasoning. Just about her being intimidated by hall brawl. Something seems amiss.

  14. Steve Schmidt is largely a blowhard but he makes some excellent points. My favorite was when Bill was trying to take him down the path that the liberal medi doesn’t allow debate or dissent and Steve shut it down by saying he has no interest in debating tax rates with fascists. There is an existential threat to democracy and that takes precedence over policy debate.

Also yeah... Bill needs to STFU about the solar shit. It is the most unrelatable thing in the world.

I have been watching this show since the beginning so I invited a couple of friends (hopefully to convert them too) to watch this episode and I could elaborate on the various issues being hashed out.  To my embarrassment, they both said it looked like an episode of Maury Povich with all the vile swearing, screaming over each other and jumping up, etc.  they wanted to see highlights from the season with scenes in various parts of Charleston and there was none of that.  I know, Covid, Covid.
Craig and Shep need to go to rehab and GIVE UP alcohol ASAP.
Shep has always had an entitled double standard.  Few women are good enough for him so he chooses a working class girl who is nearly young enough to be his daughter.  And he looks the worst I’ve ever seen him.  Just because you hire a trainer and you go to the gym, you’re not necessarily healthy.  He says he’s taking various meds.  The gf says she thinks his boozy bloat is “cute” while she doesn’t have an ounce of fat on her.  Bahahah.  He loves his vocabulary but he looks like... hell and the fast life caught up with him.  You can’t get that youth back.
Craig’s eyes were rolling back in his head and he also looks like he’s a rough 45 yo, not 30 like he claims.
Austen needs to realize that a successful alcohol line will require a huge amount of dedication - unless he can do like a lot of startups and get a big buyer who offers him $20mil to absorb the concept into their empire.
Kathryn, Madison and Dani all need to step away from the camera and raise their kids as good parents.  These kids are getting itnto the age of awareness and it just isn’t fair to them.  Come back in 10 years, with another round of “mommy makeover” they will be fine then as well.
Leva needs to walk her own road.  Kathryn is easy pickin’s regarding anything complicated so it was painful to watch them berate her over and over for something that happened prior to the season.  If bravo felt Kathryn was truly racist, maybe they should have fired her. Did we ever hear Leva’s husband or see him come to any of the events?  Why were the other 2 occasional females not on the reunion?  Did Leva get in because she’s louder and got a quicker comeback?
Madison’s empire must be the used bodies of all the men she has walked over.  That’s her empire.  Ok, now, JLo has an empire - she has multiple empires.  Why would you fraternize with her fiancé?  Obviously she has no code of ethics and any friends must be pretend backup.  You have no backup because nobody trusts you, Madison!
Maury Povich... so my friends convinced me to change the channel and I recorded the episode so I could watch it alone - Alone with you peeps to rehash the minutiae in graphic detail.  Guilty pleasures.

Does Dani have a child I am unaware of? Also I can’t help but notice you left the only male cast member with children off your list of people who need to quit the show and focus on parenting. Was that an oversight or do you only judge women’s parenting skills ?
