S05.E10: House Of Cards
RealityTVSmack replied to WireWrap's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
First...what the hell is a recovering alchoholic doing taking care of her dying ex-husband??? Did I hear her tell LisaR in the car that she hates taking care of him or hates him? Sure...he offered her a HOUSE OF PAIN pill that turned her into the Joker on steroids...I doubt it?!? More like she took him in to have access to his meds. Kim just happened to over medicate herself before spending a Bravo night out with the girls...how convenient for the camera...and I was born yesterday to believe it was all a last minute accident on her part....as she explained to sister Kyle in the bathroom. LisaR stood in for the viewing audience as she experienced the most fractured limo ride ever with a totally whacked out fellow HW. This was as about sick as we've ever seen Kim IMO and personally I could have done without ever seeing this crap on my home TV ever. Bravo Andy and crew have taken "entertainment" to a new low..this sucked big time! All I can think of, is if Kyle would have hit her head on a sharp object when Brandi shoved her...it could have paralyzed or killed her, all to entertain us??? WTF is going on in the desperate, money hungry heads of Bravo, Andy and the RHOBHs production crew...nothing normal I suspect!!! Nothing a caring nurturing audience member would find humor in. In this episode RHOBH has gone over the top into insanity and it's not a pretty picture. The very last place Kim needs to be is around a wine tasting bar or pain meds period. She needs to be locked away where she can get the care she needs. Brandi has taken violence to a new low and needs to go to rehab or be locked up in jail for assault. It would give her time to dry out...the woman is dangerous to herself and others IMO. -

What was the insult Kim was trying to lay on Kyle at the table using the long cylinder thing. She kept playing with it and said something about giving it to Kyle. Brandi had been talking about the gifts she won for winning the poker game. Kyle was not happy about what Kim was hinting at...I thought that Kim may have been inferring that Mauricio had undersized genitalia and her sister could use the cylinder thing???? All of a sudden Kyle popped up and went to the bathroom with Kim following her. Did anyone else have an idea of what the Kim and Kyle's table disagreement was about? -
Don't hate me for saying this...but look as I might I don't see one redeeming quality among these reality stars. What rock did LisaV find these cast mates living under. Just one big cluster-F of the dregs of society?!? I know they're supposed to entertain us...but now they are beginning to scare me. Kristen twists her ex and makes him cry like a faucet...then arranges for his one-nite stand to confront him? Vail flirts like she's on steroids with Peter while saying she can't remember what she did with Jax only to publicly talk smack about Peter for believing he was on a date?!? Stassi and the others just a read away from mentally deficient. It just gets worse and worse and all reflects back on LisaV...who appears to be the madam for a restaurant of ill repute, lol.

I agree CleoCaesar...can't stand Sarah Bunting either. Words can't describe what a "shit stirrer" she's been written to be this season.
-
Edith's problem was that Michael Gregson was married and went to Germany to divorce his wife in a mental institution. He could not divorce her in England at the time. Then he was missing. It appears she didn't have a whole lot of options, though her wanting to adopt a child may have given her some cover. She probably didn't want Mary calling her an idiot again at the breakfast table, lol. After all Mary protected herself with the diaphragm...not Edith. They made a rather nice couple.

My great aunt was a nurse during WW I and was awarded the Croix de Guerre for saving the lives of soldiers poisoned by mustard gas on the Verdun front-line. She and her fellow nurses wore gas masks and worked tirelessly within a half-mile from the front. I agree it was horrendous to say the least. FYI...the Battle of Verdun This World War I siege stemmed from German General Erich von Falkenhayn’s edict to elicit major bloodshed from the French defense of the fortress complex around Verdun. German forces advanced quickly in February 1916, claiming Fort Douaumont and Fort Vaux after brutal subterranean melees. Despite coming within two miles of Verdun cathedral, the Germans called off their offensive in mid-July, and Falkenhayn was relieved of his position. The French retook their forts and pushed back the line, and by the time their forces ground to a halt in December, both sides were left with more than 600,000 casualties.

Well darn it if Mary didn't go get her itch scratched...that should last her for awhile...till her next itch, lol. Guess Tony was disappointing in more than one way...like he's boring as hell and lousy in the sack! I agree Cora needed a little more fleshing out...out from under Donk's thumb. My goodness she has been lackluster dragging around Downton it was so nice to see her out in the world being treated like an equal. She comes back from dinner and there's Donk reminding her she's subservient to him once more. Edith has really messed up the pig farmer's lives with her placing Marigold with them and now jerking her away...at least that's how it looks in next weeks coming attractions. Oh and if Mrs. Drewe can visit little Marigold when she likes, huh...that should solve everything??? Also dislike big mouth pushy Sarah...enough is enough. Right or wrong it seems like she shows prejudice towards the upstairs crowd by purposely making a spectacle of herself. Was she brought up in a barn...even the pig farmers know better than to insight guests? Tom should let her know she can share her thoughts with him, but that his family is off limits.

This would be interesting and could be why Baxter told Cora she did not wish to go to the police to turn in the horrible Machiavellian footman whose spell she was under when committing the theft...she knew he was dead already!!! Love this possibility...the characters point the finger at each other and poof we are all surprised that it was Baxter!

Very good point...IRL I would suppose each room had a safe where papers/money could be kept. It really seemed idiotic to give Anna a bag of birth control to keep. Now we all know that later those items will be found by Bates as part of a huge emotional scandal. Poor Anna will be made to pay for her loyalty towards Mary. No good deed seems to go unpunished in Downton Abbey?!?

Yike's I was thinking the same thing...Jax sure did look like the devil incarnate! He is totally devoid of empathy for others and appears to react from his animal brain...scary guy. All I think of when looking at him is STDs.

S07.E10: Puerto Read-Co!

What made me truly lol was when Nene was deciding which Broadway play to be in and her agent tells her to take the wicked stepmother part and play against type. Then Nene agrees and describes herself as a nice person! Say what Nene must have been pulling the audience's legs....yank yank!!! Loved her in the beginning but slowly she's systematically poisoned the well. Though I'm sure their are plenty of fans who love her...I'm just not feeling her anymore. -
Stassi came across as a pathetic loser IMO. Jax posing nude in the roots of a tree hanging on the wall of his old room mate room was very revealing...talk about messed up. OK I vote to send these two off...bon voyage.

Well we're left with Dandy running the freak show...disaster! The coming attractions for the finale seem horrific. Will we feel the end justifies the means...all the darkness surrounding the Freak Show has to have one tiny silver lining. If only Ma Petite was around once again. Though no one is sacred...so I won't be surprised if a tornado swoops in to carry the few bloodied survivors off into the clouds.

Now that it's almost over I have to admit Sarah Paulson and her portrayal of Dot and Bette are the only reason I came back week after week. I thought she did a magnificent job in her portrayal of the twins. Two distinct personalities...one sweet and one not so much. The visuals were good also. I am surprised that she wasn't nominated for any awards. Hopefully with both Maggie and Chester out of the way Jimmy and the twins will get together, Unless the finale has them bite the dust. I keep wondering if the finale will portray the whole season as a long dark nightmare of the twins...wouldn't that be a kick in the head...no pun intended, lol.

Guess I'm like everyone else in Downton Abbey who thinks Tom "has an interest" in Sarah. As of this epi he has allowed her to influence him so much so that Robert & Cora before going to bed mention they were worried about him leaving Downton.

It's as if Rose is supposed to be playing the part of the ugly step sister...when she's a heck of a lot more attractive than Mary or Edith. I agree with you...how come Rose doesn't have a few guys throwing themselves at her? I think her parents may have financial problems and lost their mini-castle. Though Rose's upbeat personality, youth and good looks should make up for it. Why isn't Tom Branson after her? Oh yeah he is after Sarah the teacher, ugh. Mary's latest cast off also doesn't seem interested in Rose either. Guess that's a Downton mystery, how come Rose has NO friends and is Rose going to wind up an old maid?

A wet cigar has more passion than we were shown in the illicit tryst between Mary and Tony. What a let down, but then again...what do we expect from a woman traumatized by a guy dying on top of her during the act?!?Mary's explanation to Anna about why she's "test driving" Tony gave me a chuckle. When she makes the choice to marry she wants the marriage to last "forever." Hahaha talk about naive...since when does premarital sex guarantee a long marriage. Maybe she just wants to see if Tony can survive knocking boots with her, lol.

I truly hated the pharmacy lady(ghoul)...how super rude can one be? What proprietor hoping for repeat business would drag a customer through the mud by subjected them through 20-questions...especially about such a sensitive/personal subject?!? Guess the ghoul was written into the episode to show "no good deed goes unpunished!"During this scene I imagined the audience calling out, "Mary get your own darn birth control!"
-
At my age the "scrumptious dinner" could be foreplay but for Mary I doubt she eats much for dinner! Tony should have taken the bull by the horns...action speaks louder than words and shown Mary what his plans were for her...rather then spilling the beans so to speak. After the first course...if room service was available, she may have worked up an appetite, lol.

ITA chaifan, there's definitely more to Baxter's theft story and incarceration. She kinda admitted to Mosley someone else was involved...but she's loyal and protecting the person...for now.
