  1. This morning I received a weather warning from our power company.  Expected winds up to 70 miles per hour and possibly 9 inches of snow starting tomorrow morning. There is a blizzard warning for Tahoe.  I have my Halo Bolts and my Eco Flow River (all from QVC) all charging right now to be prepared.  I don't have a whole house generator, but at least I will be able to have some lamps and the radio on.  And maybe my heated blanket.  I'm picking up groceries from Walmart today, so I should be good.

It sounds like there is bad weather in several places.  Every one stay safe and warm.

i am currently watching the weather channel now and it is moving up and over into michigan now. also, northern texas has a massive wind driven fire that may take out several towns - 250,000 acres last i heard. weather is scary.

I hope everyone stays safe.  Maybe the Duggar emergency squad will show up to "help".

We have had several weather warnings already for this weekend.  Very high winds with maybe 8 inches of snow.

Can someone explain that top Jill is wearing? The kids are wearing plaid shirts, some over long t-shirts for unknown reasons. Is Jill wearing a very short gray sweater over a billowy white shirt, or is this a one-piece franken-thing she bought for the occasion? Surely, in honor of the party theme, she could have found something plaid in that packed walk-in closet of hers.

Good to see she kept the white cowgirl boots. She's been able to wear them twice now.

Maybe she shops on QVC.  They have had some atrocities that look even worse than this lately.

I always hold onto my receipt when I get them or I give them to the person with the card.

You are smart.  I have seen the clerks actually staple the receipt to the gift card packaging. Always keep the receipt for a gift card and give it to the recepient.  It is too bad that we have to be so careful now, and that some people think theft is an ok thing to do.

  5. I don't give gift cards anymore because there is a good chance they are no good.  I don't know the details, but people can remove the redemption code off the card and use it.  The card gets sold and it is already used.  I have seen clerks check the cards before people leave with them.  Emailed Amazon gift cards are the ones I use if I need a gift card.  I wonder how Jill would react if her gift (grift) card was refused.

I heard this was a TicTok challange, but I don't know if that is true.  I do know people that have received useless gift cards, however.

I doubt that poor dog is even alive or she was left outside to fend for herself. Duggars shouldn’t even get pets. Who got 2 kittens as a gift that Josie grabbed roughly? Those 2 kittens aren’t around either.

I think that was Giddy.  Joy had wrapped the kittens in a gift box.  And yes, Josie was grabbing at them roughly.  They were never seen again.

They weren't playing other people's music in the church. They were playing their usual stuff. When Jill posted the video on her facebook, instead of the sound from the actual video, she overlaid other music over it. A few people in the comments were confused, but I don't think they are the most tech savvy people. I think it's a new skill she learned as she did that with a bunch of her Punta Cana videos.

I'm guessing the chicken was a prop for their song about heterosexual farm animals.

Thanks.  That makes more sense (if "sense" can be used regarding a Jill situation.)

  8. Why is one girl holding a stuffed chicken? (I guess it looks better than a dirty rag.) Why do they just stand there while playing other people's music?  Surely no one thinks that music is coming from them.  This is most strange.  Does Jill expect "love gifts" from people who just look at them standing in front of the church?  Does she somehow think just being in her family's presence is enough to make folks want to give them money and gifts?  I don't get it.  But then, I don't "get" Jill's mind, either.

Not notes I've ever seen in a bible before.

I have a very old family Bible.  In the front pages that are usually used to write down family names, my aunt wrote, in pencil, all about a trip her family took by train from Iowa to New York to visit their aunt and cousins.  I have no idea why she wrote it there, but I'm guessing it was an important trip for her.  The trip was in 1916, and my aunt was 10.  She was not some full-grown woman who wrote all about herself in the the scriptures themselves.  A woman who has access to paper or a diary, neither of which my aunt had access to.  I have never seen anyone actually glorify themself on the pages of a Bible before.  It is rather disturbing.

  10. The B&B kitchen supplied with Temptations dishes, and possibly bakeware, is not a selling point for me.  I threw out all the Temptations I had.  It chips badly, and I had a baker crack in the oven.  I had a huge chicken juice mess in the oven and on the floor.  The brand is sold on QVC, and the quality is very poor, in my opinion.  I thought it was strange that she would mention this by brand name.  It is not anything special, and is sub par.  Just go back and look at some of Janelle's "food" pictures.  The plates and dishes are usually chipped.  Those dishes are Temptations.

You are starting to sound like an OLD ( like me)

But I really walked ½ a mile to elementary school in the snow....with snow pants under a skirt or dress..brrrrrr.

Me, too.  I was always so happy the first day I didn't have to wear my snow pants.  I could actually skip again.

  12. I was just going to post the same thing.  Costco is the highest rated place for hearing aids in Consumer Reports.  I have had several friends go to Costco for exams and hearing aids, and all I have ever heard is how wonderful their service is.
