I missed the posts lol
I posted a rather long, and kind, post before I went to bed comparing our group here to what I found on FreeJinger yesterday. ( I found a lot of politics, bad language, and bad grammar (LOL)), and stated that it has changed a lot since I left there to come here. I also praised our group for tolerance, kindness, and caring. My post is nowhere to be found.

It would be great if Tim could work for the railroad. Good benefits.

If you can remember your password, you should be fine. They don't delete accounts. I took a long sabbitcal from there, and was able to resume with my account when I returned. 😀
I did have to reset my password, but I'm good. Now I need to find the correct forum. Thanks for the reminder.

The snow here is still falling, but it is not as bad as I expected so far. Based on what is on my fence, I'm guessing we have had about 5 inches so far. It is supposed to snow all day today and tomorrow morning. It should stop tomorrow afternoon, and it should be sunny, but very cold. The snow plow came this morning so the road is clear, but I am staying inside today and tomorrow. Hopefully my neighbor's grandson will shovel my driveway tomorrow. Tahoe was under a blizzard warning and all roads through the Sierras have travel restrictions. , but at least the high, high winds have died down. They were predicting about 10 feet at the higher elevations. At least the weather is not as bad as last year when we set a 40 year snow record.
I hope everyone here who is in a weather situation stays safe-- especially those near the Texas fires.

You know that is not what I am saying at all, and I am not going to argue with you. Have a nice day.

Wishing infertility on a young couple (Justin and Claire) is cruel. That has been done more than once.
Those are not terms I personally would use, but if I don't like something someone says, I use the delete button. I do not complain to anyone else. We are not children here, we can make adult choices on our own.

Interestingly, House Hunters, where people are really hard on the couples on the show, is running just fine with no lights or shutdowns. I still think some people signed up just to complain, which brought this unwanted and unneeded attention. There is no way our usual posters would draw this kind of attention. I could see this happening on the Shopping Channel shows, too.

Then they need to SAY THAT DIRECTLY.
Actually, I think the wife was seen on the show.

Someone must have been making a lot of complaints to the people in charge, and I find it interesting that this site and the Shopping Channels site are both in trouble. The entire Shopping Channel site has actually disappeared. This cannot be a coincidence. Both sites on the same day? I am curious to find out if any other sites were hit this hard.

Something big is going on since the red light--and entire forum shutdown has happened all of a sudden. I wonder if we will ever really find out what is going on.

About the Shopping Channels forum - it now says this:
After a link to the community guidelines, there's this:
So the entire forum is gone. This is crazy.

You don't like a post--use the delete button. I really don't get the problem (or even know what it is).

I don't think any of us who post regularly are the problem. I have noticed a lot of new names posting in the last couple of weeks. I wonder if this was planned (I know, I read too many mystery novels). But I did think it was odd to see so many new posters lately.

I think they have changed their opinion of what is allowed to be posted. There was a mod post about their new desired direction after the last site update. It sounds like snark about the Duggars and their friends is not allowed- that must be it because I think posters are fairly respectful to each other. This has always been a snark forum. It has never been a Duggar fan forum, but it sounds to me as if that’s what the moderators want it to be.
I know they’ve marked several of the threads titles as being disrespectful. Those titles were originally suggested and chosen by vote of the members.I just had an entire forum (Shopping Channels) deleted from my personal forum list, and I get a "you do not have authority to view this forum" message. What's going on?

I just tried to log on to the Shopping Channel forums and received a message that I don't have permission to open it. Has anyone else had this experience?

Speaking of streaming services, I watched a sort of heart-warming show on Netflix yesterday. "The Bank of Dave" is a true(ish) story of how a man in rural England fought the banking system and was able to open a local bank to help local people and businesses. The bank is still in operation. Sort of the same feeling as "Kinky Boots". A pleasant way to while away a rainy day.

I don't like Dollar General. We have two by me and they always look dirty and messy. I rarely shop there.
There is one across the street from me, and, I agree, it is dirty and messy. I only go there if I am out of orange juice.

Is this Supreme Court filing what Anna was talking about months ago when she said something about the public not knowing the whole story and that the facts will come out?

As a poster stated above, in this cult women must be subservient to their husband at the cost of their children. Children are just "blessings" whose numbers are bragging rights and who must be totally obedient. Their needs can be ignored (Jill), but the husband must be front and center. Someone mentioned that JB may have been one of the men who "counseled" the Holts. I'm sure the pressure on Bobye was very strong. Possibly threatening.

Hey, I called Naomi! But then said it was too nice for them. Nancy's an old lady's name and not biblical, so that's off the table.
I expect something really weird.
I expect anything that will draw attention to them. The first granddaughter must have a very, very special name. I wonder if "Jill" will be part of it. (Heaven Jill, Praise Jill, Heistheway Jill, Alleluia Jill---you get the idea.)
Saddly, this would not surprise me too much.

Small Talk: The Prayer Closet
in Counting On
Does anyone know how to set up a group forum on Facebook? I know a branch of my family has one. Maybe "our family" needs one, too.
