Tim will agree to anything to marry a woman. After marrying Heidi his tune will change!

I'm willing to give him a chance, and I hope I'm not wrong.  I think Heidi has been raised with the ability to voice an opinion, and they do seem to really be in love.  I am curious to see how this plays out, and I am hoping that Tim is influenced by his in-laws and can let go of the "rules" of his upbringing.  (fingers crossed)

  2. Has anyone here had a bone marrow needle biopsy?  I have one scheduled in a couple weeks and I told them I do want sedation when they asked me.  I would like to know how long the pain/soreness lasts so I can prepare myself.

  3. After growing up with uncles Wilhelm Edvard Ferdinand, George Richard Emil, Arthur Julius Gerhart, and  aunts Margaret Wilhelmia Louisa, Freda Caroline Ottilia, and a mother Ruth Magdalena Amanda, to name but a few, names are just names to me.  Name your kid whatever you want, I probably have someone in my family with a stranger name.  (With the exception of a baby I cared for in the NICU whose mother named her Meconium because she thought it sounded so pretty.)

I remember Jill saying Kaylee was driving a few months ago when she claimed that ALL of their vehicles were out of commission at the same time. They broke down by the side of the road somewhere and Kaylee had to drive to pick some of them up.

In this family, that does not guarantee that she has a license or insurance.  Or that she knows how to drive a truck.

  5. The last time I was called for Jury Duty it was for passing bad checks.  The defendant was in the court room, and before jury selection started the judge asked if any of us knew the defendant, or any of the lawyers.  One woman raised her hand and, when asked by the judge who she knew, she stated that she new the defendant because he had passed a bad check in her store.  The entire room of prospective jurors was dismissed and we couldn't be recalled to jury duty until the following year.

Another time, after sitting in the court room for about an hour, the judge came out and told all of us that we were all dismissed.  He then asked one of the prospective jurors to come and talk to him.  Apparently, someone from the case spoke to this one woman, or the woman was talking about the case to other prospective jurors.  I never did find out what happened, but all 70 of us were sent home--jury service completed for the next 12 months.

  6. Raise your hand if you think Nurie's oldest has a new, appropriate-sized car seat, that the youngest (for now) has an unused, appropriate-sized car seat, and that the baby will have a new, unused, infant car seat.  Anyone???  The "first granddaughter" may get an infant car seat, but I bet it will be from a thrift store or a yard sale.  And that BME will think bedazzeling it will be more important than being unused and the fit.  I'm sure this family thinks any old car seat will be just fine.  I still don't believe that they will bother with a car seat for each kid.

  7. If you don't want to be attacked by your cats, never use Icy Hot, or any other topical pain reliever containing capsaicin.  Capsaicin is a derivative of catnip.  My cats went wild and would not leave me alone.  I never used it again.

Yes! The rest of my family all drives either Toyotas (or Dodges). All the Toyota drivers concede my Honda is a smoother ride by far, but they always still go back to the Toyotas when it is time to buy. LOL My first 2 cars were Accords, but whenever I buy again--hopefully not any time soon--I'd definitely get another CRV. I don't like SUVs that are really big, so I like that the CRV seems sturdier than the car but doesn't feel like I'mI ha driving in stilts.

I have always driven Hondas, with one, horrible exception.  I bought a Toyota Highlander, and it was a total piece of junk.  I had water gush into the passenger footwell from a faulty air conditioning pipe.  I had a Freeon leak in the dash board that they could never find, and I was adding Freeon about every 6 months.  The timing belt went out six months after I bought it (new).  The alternator went out in the middle of the freeway.  I will never buy a Toyota again.  I went back to Honda, and I love my CRV.  My current CRV is a 2015 and I have never had one day of trouble.  Ever.  I think I am a Honda for lifer.

  9. I’m in the North Sea watching the news on the TV in my stateroom. I hope everyone here from Boston is safe and sound. The bridge collapse looks terrifying.  We have two days at sea heading for Narvik. So far it has been smooth sailing.

  11. In this culture, the eldest son is "in charge" of siblings and has special treatment.  JB used to take Josh to the (was it the state senate??) when he was very young, and he received a lot of attention.  He received "special treatment" from his parents when he messed up (badly).  Being in prison is the first time in his life that he is not in charge, and is not getting special treatment.  I don't think the ability to care about others was instilled in him growing up.  It will be interesting to see how he handles life when his sentence is up.

  12. Has anyone else had their screen look strange?  Mine is now slightly over have the screen size, and none of the settings have been changed.  It is the same on other sites, also.  I don't know what happened or how to fix it.
