And, I didn't catch the floorplan for the homes in the beginning of the episode, but is there only ONE bedroom in these houses?

This. Did they skip all the children's rooms? Is there a second floor we never saw? Or maybe we saw its decks but not the rooms inside.  I am confused.

Maybe Kat will find out she's pregnant too and then she and Randi can have dueling pregnancy stories and we'll have will Max and Kat get back together for the baby drama.

I'll play. Let's throw in Sheila with a 'change of life baby'.

For God's sake, make a schedule for who does night duty with the baby! Two can sleep while 1 is on duty.

I had similar thoughts, maybe you don't know that for the first baby, but their parents could tell them this. Where are Gael and his sister's parents?

I'm starting to think of this as Mark spending as much time away from his house and this family as he can possibly manage. From that perspective, not seeing him can make me happy.

But a high-school student is off taking care of his toxic great-grandmother? Really? Couldn't they have just said he was off to science camp?

There was a scene last week in which Nancy was with Mateo eating breakfast when Owen walked into the kitchen. Like, cool, just your boss hanging out with you after you and your boyfriend banged. Why would Nancy ever stay there?!

Let's not forget, Owen, their boss, just banged in the next room and "got paid for it".

Someone teased in the ep. 1 discussion that Sr. V lied again, in episode 3, but I saw no sign of that. I loved the way she championed the abused wife and kids.

I loved her fierceness as well. We did she her lick the ice cream of a mother tending to her child in one of the opening scenes so she is not totally reformed.

Oh God……the last thing this show needs is a child.

The other thought I had was maybe Max will come out as gay. That would explain why he seem phased on learning about Zoey. Maybe it had already guessed it. If Max is gay, then Kat and Max can still maintain their friendship and stay karaoke partners...maybe even have a baby together. (OK, I'll stop now.)

They probably socialize at professional events and stuff like that, so it would be almost impossible to find a completely neutral judge for the trial

Not if the trail was moved to another county. It happens all the time in my state.

Owen seems to think that the women he dates need to answer to him and don't get me started on him thinking that he has a $100,000 dick

$100,00.00 the first night; $40,000.00 the second. The third night? I see some devaluation going on here.

And speaking of the rescues: IRL, the dialysis guy would've died at the scene before they could have transfused him with that much blood loss and no functioning kidneys, right?

This is the first time they encounter so much blood they are slipping on it. Don't they have in the ambulance some kind of powder that you can pour of blood and make it more solid so you don't slip on it? If not, I think I need to invent this.

  11. So, wasn't it Allah who appeared to Marjan in the form of Little Marjan? Isn't that what her mother was saying when she told Mouse that she was never alone because Allah is always with her?

How did Marjan get the black head covering she was wearing in the hospital bed? Do hospitals have a supply of them for their Muslim patients? I wonder if my hospital does.

  12. I attended a book signing of Fanny Flagg. I happened to be chatting with her handler and told him that I had recently seen Match Game and was impressed by Fanny Flagg how fresh and current she looked and acted. "It was like modern 2010 Fanny had walked onto a 70's set and was just sitting among them." The handler said, "You have to tell Fanny that." He brought her over. Fanny was so touched she burst into tears. "You have made my day, my month, my year."

like Bruno, but it's like the writers have an order to make sure he says he's rich once an episode.  I promise to remember that element of his backstory if they promise to write it in a bit less clunkily when they must.  I mean, really, who talks like that?

...especially in front of a victim. Bruno, keep quiet about your nest egg, or how are you going to know if the people around you are really your friends? Didn't your parents teach you anything?

n the city where I used to live, I saw two long-established restaurants have to close down because of  ADA lawsuits by the same person.  There is one person that deliberately goes to restaurants and hotels and files law suites over very tiny situations.  In the instances I know about, the owners offered to make changes, but actually had to close down because the costs of this guy's demands were so high.  These were both historical buildings.  My point is, it only takes one person with a mission of winning law suits to destroy a business.  I certainly hope whoever is in charge of the remodel of this inn did their research.

I was thinking along these lines when I posted the comment about taking out the wheelchair ramp on a private home. Erin and Ben got a lot of flak (here and elsewhere) for not making the hotel ADA compliant. In light of that, I thought it might have behooved them to say something in this episode like:

"We are taking the wheelchair ramp out because this young family has no need of it, and besides it was owner-made and did not meet all current ADA requirements. Certainty, a complaint ramp could be built in that same spot in the future if the need ever arose."

Just to assure us the Ben and Erin do think of ADA requirements when they jump in and remodel something.

I was just rewatching the first ep, and I realized that, in addition to having Tricki-Woo as her witness, Mrs. Pumphrey also provided her car and chauffeur as transport for the bridal party to get to the church. That was very sweet of her!

I wonder if Mrs. Pumphrey also sprang for the church decorations, since they were over the top and, as mentioned by an above poster, not in season.

My husband the dog lover said that was his kind of wedding - 8 human guests and 3 canine guests

I wondered if we were watching a small wedding due to COVID restrictions. Shouldn't the entire town have been there? The same crowd that goes to Seigfried Christmas blow outs.

Also, that was a lot of decorations on that entire church for only eight people. Who sprung for all of that?

The finished product was very nice.  But what a mess.  There was a reason he got the house for a reduced price of $14K.

My guess is he convinced the owners that no one else would be willing to put in the work to save the house and this was therefore their only chance of getting it off their hands.  Or he signed something really holding them harmless if anything went wrong it all (an "as is" clause.)  Or he convinced the decendents that having Ben and Erin work on the house was a great way to honor their decreased loved one....Wait a sec, why did he get the house for free?

I literally yelled, "Who the fuck does that?!" I've worked for some crazy people, but people colluding to lie about being sick so their supervisor(?) would work several consecutive long/double shifts, risking others' lives because he wouldn't be alert, is just beyond.

I have been a supervisor for years. If I heard of anyone pranking someone like that, they would be fired instantly and not be able to work in the field again. It made me think a lot less of Maddie.
