I'm not sure how long ago you became deaf so I'm trying to think of some older examples but everything I look up seems to be saying it's a recent phenomenon. This article describes Mae West and Maya Angelou as examples. It's like the end of certain words are drawn out in a raspy way. It almost sounds, to me, like the person doing it doesn't feel well, they are sick and about to crawl back in bed. Or I also tend to associate it with that know-it-all female friend who is chronically unimpressed with everything.

I can't say I am fan of how most designers on this show dress but if you think Americans are the only ones with terrible fashion sense you have definitely never spent any time in the UK. Neoprene is so incredibly warm! I've been surfing on 20F degree days in 45F degree water and been sweating in my 5mm wetsuit. The only thing that would concern me would be the fact that its not breathable. Unless he incorporated some kind of armpit vent or something into it you would definitely be sweating up a storm in that jacket. Justin's reminded me of a tuxedo jacket with tails. I liked the top but I would have liked the bottom more if the long tails went straight down the back rather than off to the sides. Add me to the list of people who hated Helen's. Those colors were horrendous.

Probably because it was getting into creepy/obsessive territory.

I just hope Emmett's earring isn't a real thing and was just an alternate reality accessory... I also am so incredibly relieved they didn't try to have Bay do any kind of an accent.

For the print challenge Justin did do an ASL I love you print. It is a neat idea and probably one of the few ASL signs that is instantly recognizable to the general public, but it seems like if he wanted to stick with that idea he could have chosen another sign that could apply to relationships to make it more unique and introduce people to another sign (not that it's his job to teach people ASL). Then again all the ones that are coming to my mind (respect, happy, together) involve movement so that would be really hard to portray in a print.

Maybe I'm crazy but this is how I feel about Gunnar too. He started off his season a total douchebag when he decided to hate Chris for no reason but by the end of the season I thought he was fine.

Drinking straw dress? I don't remember that.

Justin got his win! That was so well deserved. I liked his personality during his season but found most of his work (until his final collection) so incredibly blah so I'm glad to see he appears to have stepped up his game for this season. Chris was such a disappointment but I'm glad he is still around. Alexandria...can't stand her voice. Can't stand her attitude. She's too smug. I'm glad she's gone.

I am so incredibly excited to see Chris on this show! I watched all of the early seasons of Project Runway but then dropped off after awhile and only recently have gotten back into it. He was definitely a favorite of mine back in Season 4. He has a great personality and put out awesome work. He's definitely my favorite for this season!

Can't stand her attitude and her clothes are definitely not my taste but I am looking forward to seeing what she puts out here.

Everything he did during the season was pretty blah but I personally loved his final collection (and think he should have come in 2nd over Alexandria). I recognize he had a lot more time work on stuff for the final collection than during the show, but I hope we see more like that this round. He's got real potential. I also love how drama free he is.
