  1. The only thing I could think of is that young Helena's supposed to be older than Charlotte is now. The time line on the show is so ridiculous. While the actress playing Charlotte has obviously aged over the years, it's only been about three-to-six months in show time since we've met her.
  2. I was watching the CBS Sunday Morning show and saw lots of ads for NCIS:LA & Madame Secretary "back to back," but no mentions of Elementary.

    S01.E03: Summer

As a former journalist, yes it is getting that hard. So many jobs are lost from layoffs and attrition (i.e. not eliminating positions after retirements altogether instead of hiring replacements). The digital revolution has also made it hard to make any real money as a freelancer. Also, I believe Rory has a degree in English from Yale, which doesn't offer an undergraduate journalism program.
  4. Well, she had just been rejected by her lover, contemplated shooting him in the head, and was drunk and high. And afterward she killed a civilian and threw herself in front of a train. Perhaps "reciprocated" isn't the right word.
  5. Elementary has never been particular revolutionary television. I've primarily watched it just for the character interactions, but both of last night's episodes - and the season as a whole - have been very dull to me.
  6. I also remember there was another NFL preemption for an extra game a few weeks into Elementary's new season.
  7. I also liked how one of The Midnight Ranger's numerous deaths included falling over a waterfall while stuck in embrace with his arch-nemesis.
  8. And so it begins ... The official "Elementary" twitter feed announced tonight's episode will air at 10:35 EST/9:35 CST because of March Madness.
  9. That was my initial response as well.
  10. "Elementary" is moving to Sunday nights at 10:00 (9:00 CST) beginning March 20. Not at all happy about it being moved to an already over-crowded night. My DVR can only record so many things at once.
  11. It is telling that the UFO showed up in an episode that featured an unreliable narrator. Although I was half-way convinced by his manner and UFO room that Hank may turn out to be an alien. There's just a way he was speaking to everyone, even Lou, that seemed aloof for lack of a better word.
  12. That does make a lot of sense, particularly considering The Doctor's unwillingness to allow Me to travel off-Earth.
  13. I lived in Central PA for six years, and the only Waffle House was an incovenient 2 to 2-1/2 hour drive from where I lived. I'm back in the South now surrounded by Waffle Houses. I don't actually eat there very often at all. It's just oddly comforting to me that I have the option whenever I'd like.
  14. I really detest Missy. I hate the writing for her and the actor's performance. I wish she would regenerate post-haste, but sadly I think we're stuck with her.
  15. I didn't read that scene as suicide at all. I thought they were counting on the snow accumulation to break their fall. Like in Frozen. lol.
  16. I'm not convinced Brienne fulfilled hers. Of all the onscreen death we saw tonight, only Stannis' was not shown. And Brienne almost had a look of pity when looking at a broken Stannis.
  17. I actually kind of hate the idea of Dance because it would feel like Tywin 2.0. I'd like them to be a litt offbeat with the casting (though perhaps not as offbeat as the casting of Mycroft).
  18. I know we're meant to infer he relapsed, but we never saw him shoot up. Maybe he didn't just pummel Oscar into unconciousness but actually killed him and is in shock?
  19. Actually, I think RDJ has renegotiated things so Marvel belongs to him, which is why we're getting Iron Man: Civil War next year.
  20. "You had great hair." Poor Fisher Stevens, he really did. And in honor of their onscreen reunion, "HACK THE PLANET!"
  21. I've heard this complaint before, but I've never had an issue understanding him. Maybe it's because I've been a fan of Jonny Lee Miller since Trainspotting and have seen so many of his TV/film projects (and a variety of his accents).
  22. I think they've said it's a combination of grandparents and other local family plus babysitters/nannies. I'm really curious how lucrative their business is. I know they have upscale prices, but I've seen their house in a magazine spread and it's crazy nice.
