I know this because my mom wouldn't give me my birth certificate when I was getting a passport because she said I'd lose it and we got in a huge fight over ownership of the certificate and I was extra aggro because I don't even live in that county anymore and didn't want to drive out there and didn't have 6 weeks to wait since I was taking a spur of the moment trip to NZ.  Eventually she compromised by going and getting me my own copy on her lunch break.  Spoiler alert: I'm pretty sure I "lost" the copy that she got me, but it might be in a drawer in the coat closet.

OMG this cracks me up because I just had this same discussion with my dad over my BC.  The catch for me is that I was born many moons ago in Venezuela and uh that would be a bit hard to get a copy these days with all the dictatorship and such.  My dad is super scared I will misplace mine. WTH would I do?? I have never left the country and needed a passport and my last passport was when I was 3 mos old when my parents moved back to the states. I've changed a bit from then. hehe

  2. Debra must have learned from the teachings of Seinfeld: Relationship breakups are like trying to tip over a Coke machine...you can't do it in one push, you gotta rock it back and forth.

Both Debra and her mother are lunatics!

Sorry if this has been asked but are they originally from the Midwest? Very strong accents are being portrayed.

Actually, D'Andra went to Sweet Briar College, a women's university in VA.  I found that out over Thanksgiving when someone I know who went there said she sorta knows her through alumna events.  Did she do SMU for grad school maybe?

I'm still confused because she was using the hook 'em horns sign in the hot tub(circa mid 80's) when she mentioned college and frat parties ??

Being a Texan and graduating from a Texas university I tried to pick where each HW attended or graduated. I am not surprised that Kam graduated from SMU(maybe TCU, same type of snobs.) she's fairly typical. Cary I would have peg as an Aggie(TAMU) or a longhorn(UT) not Baylor as it is a pretty straight laced private school. I would have thought D'Andra went to SMU or TCU. By all looks I assumed Brandi graduated Texas by all the longhorn stuff, but it was TWU. Full disclosure as a Red Raider we despise the longhorns. I wonder where Stephanie graduated? OU, OSU, since she's an Okie? I wonder where Travis went to school?

BTW, sorry for the sucky grammar but this college grad is too lazy to care this late at night. ;)

Happy Birthday. I hope that you get as spoiled and fussed over as Monroe is on your special day.

Aww, thank you so much MT.  I did get spoiled with a nice Italian lunch from my DH.  I'm sure Monroe gets much more than that. ;)

  6. MALAKOFF, TEXAS IN DA HOUSE!  They were at Cedar Creek Lake and I live ON Cedar Creek. My ranch is not too far from there. I really like watching this show to try and figure out from where they might be filming in the DFW area. This is RR's stomping ground.

Where the hell was the cooking lesson on fried pies? Drooling over here!

If I was a betting woman I would put money down that Dee, her best friend and Jimmy were born and raised in East Texas. They all sound like East Texas people-they can be mean and jelly.

That mural in Deep Ellum that Jeremy photographed was painted over not too many days before the 4th of July and the one year mark of the 5 Dallas officers being shot down during a protest march last year. One of those officers was my husband's beat partner when he was a cop in Dallas, so it was heart wrenching to see it removed.

The ketchup could have used a bit more meatloaf, just sayin. Blech!

  7. Wow am I tired of sit COMS(COMEDY) trying to preach at me. Just make me laugh at inane things, please! I understand it had to involve getting rid of Roseanne but this show was preachy even before it became The Connors.

I have never been a fan of Dan and I still think he seems awkward or something is going on with his health? He seems to not really focus his eyes and he seemed shaky in the scene in the living room with Darlene.

I have always liked Jackie but even her eyes seemed weird and unfocused in the last scene. Strange stuff.

Still really like Becky as she is quick witted and has great comedic timing.

I'll give this a couple more chances but things don't look great.

Their systems are all out of whack from not defecating during the long days at Jeff's house.

My idea of hell would be having Jeff Lewis living next door.  His homes are constantly under construction so there's trucks all the time.  Then he has 8-10 people working for him who all drive and park all day.  Crazy lady has a lot of reason for being mad at him.  It was the women who took care of things:  Jenny called the police, Catherine (?) went and talked to the neighbor.  Gage just escalated things.

1000%!  I made my husband watch that part of the show and asked him what he thought?  He agreed with us.  Jeff is the common denominator in all of these situations.  California has beautiful weather but there is no way I could live among all of those people.  They are stacked on top of each other in those hills and those folks are loaded.  I live on a large ranch about an hour from Dallas and I get antsy whenever I have to go to Dallas as there are just too many people. It is getting worse and worse even out in the sticks where I live.

BTW, a huge portion of the increasing population in North Texas, really all of Texas, is coming from California.  No bad feelings to you Californians but we don't want all these people here, no matter how much our "BIG GROWTH" committees tell us we do!!! Besides, y'all would hate the loooong summers in the upper 90's to 100's.  It's the beginning of Oct and it's been 90 degrees with tons of humidity. Grrrrr

Can't paste the link I just found, but the woman from The Anger Room was murdered by her ex. I'm not sure if it's the same woman that appeared with a chyron with her name on it when she was giving the ladies their safety talk before LeeAnne's 'smash party', but I have a horrible feeling it is. She was very intense, I thought at the time, about how anger is going to come up when you start 'smashing stuff' and if this poor soul is her, dealing with an ex like that I can see why.

I caught this on the local news a couple of days ago.  I think you are right that it was the woman that gave them instructions at the Anger Room. So very sad.

@raiderred1, I just didn't get what the "resolution" today was, and the episode felt weirdly short. Mom doesn't support son's dream to be a DJ but he's also waiting to have a clean drug test to join the marines. So he tests clean, and now the show is going to pay for him to meet with a therapist/life coach in his hometown. Uhh...okay then. What about joining the marines?!

Right?  It was just weird all the way around but it is fun to hate watch.

  11. So funny that a board was created for the horrid show.  I am hate watching, too, while cleaning the house.  I am seriously wondering if these guests are even real.  The DJ son from today's show seemed like he couldn't act worth a damn.  All the catfish stories are just ridiculous.

My brother was a guest on a show that Gordon Elliott hosted WAY back in the 90's and my brother lied the entire show.  His friend asked him to play her previous boyfriend and my bro was like, "What the hell, I'm in."  LOL

Not so in my case.  BIL has always worked, even worked as many as 3 jobs when their finances were tough and they had 2 small kids.  His character is strong, just his interests are in the arts, academics 'n such.  No time for learning about the baser skills, lol.

Your family is very lucky.  I would have no problem if my BIL was like yours.  My BIL has caused a lot of tension in our family.  He hates my parents yet he will still take their handouts.  It's a mess.

Back on topic, I like Gage and can't understand how he puts up with Jeff.  I think Jeff is interesting to watch on TV but I think he would be a beast to live with or work with.

What is going on with Jeff and the paint company?  We travel to Vegas a lot and I often drive by the company and think of Jeff, but dang if I can't remember their name!

I have a brother-in-law who can barely change a light bulb.  Not gay, just not interested.  He's a hetero Gage I guess.

I, too, have a BIL that can't even change a light bulb but he is LAZY.  All the males in our family are very good mechanically and can fix lots of stuff but this guy thinks he is Spanish royalty.  He hasn't had a job here or in Spain in 15 years, yet my sister keeps his lazy ass around and works like a dog at her teaching job while my parents continue to help support them financially. So sickening.

Stephanie is way to much of a sweet kind good person for a show like this lol Jesus

I'm thinking more like she is too dumb to be trying to raise two young boys.  How can a person be so low on themselves and say they have zero leadership ability?

Also, Harvard is UP there not down there when you go visit Travis with the boys.

I actually love when my husband goes on a business trip...I miss him a little but dang I love having a quiet house for a few days!

  15. Just a quick lesson in cows for the ladies poseurs of Dallas.  Those longhorn cattle that are traipsed out everyday in the stockyards are steers(no balls) not bulls.  The streets would be quite deadly to even have one unpredictable bull in the mix.

To those of you against rodeo I understand the dislike but it is so much a part of Texas history and some of us still compete(barrel racing for me).  What they(HW of D) saw was simply bull riding which I think is one of the dumbest events in all of rodeo.  The bulls are treating like royalty because believe me those stock contractors don't want anything done to their stock that could hurt or cripple them.  The idiot cowboys guys(most can't even ride a horse) that climb aboard are no match for these 2000 lbs + beasts. The broncs that are seen at the rodeo would have gone to kill buyers and their lives become very nice as, again, the stock contractors put a lot of time and TLC into them.

The stockyards are usually hopping so I would guess they went on a weekday or something because it looked totally lame.

Cary, please step away from the plastic surgery, Botox and fillers as you are starting to look more and more like a toad.

I think I have said this before(sorry for the repeat) but D'Andra's mom is a spitting image of my MIL in looks and personality.  My husband has zero contact with her and it makes his life much more peaceful.  If D'Andra wants to continue an unhealthy relationship with Cruella Deville, than she should just bide her time and wait for the witch to die and maybe then her momster will had over the keys.

  16. Dee is the epitome of my MIL. They sound alike and look alike and both are horrible human beings.  My husband always heard his mother say, "You will be written out of the will if...." and 4 years after our marriage he was talking to her on the phone and then next thing I knew he hung up on her when she started the "the will" convo and he has not spoken to her in over 20 years.  I couldn't imagine not talking to my parents but if I had a mom like Dee or my MIL I could honestly see it happening. D'Andra needs to cut ties and move on without her heinous mother.  It may be tough in the beginning but she has to make her own way in the world.  My husband took over my family's business and now he is way more successful than his mom ever could have been in both love and finances.  Some Texas women can be mean to the core and some sweet as peach cobbler.

when D'Andra said that Mr. Hutchinson is hosting their annivesary party, I thought, hmmm, isn't that their US Senator's name.  I always like Kay Bailey and was hoping to get a glimpse of her home...then we saw Mr. Hutchinson and I'm like, "yeah, Kay Bailey Hutchinson is NO WAY married to him."  RHofD is background white noise for me.

Kay Bailey is Hutchison, not HutchiNson. ;)

  18. I don't know how much more of OC I will be able to stand.  It is sooo boring and producer driven that I can't even pay close attention anymore.  I am as shocked as most others that Icki continues to be on this show.  I will be so happy when it circles the drain and dries up one of these days.  I couldn't care less about the new women and the Mexico trip was a total try-hard.  Give me RHNY any day.

What kind of Doctor does this. A gyn? I’m 47, still have a monthly event, but it is murder scene-esque for 3-4 days. I’ve never had a huge pms issue, but I’m really afraid of hot flashes and crazy emotions when this thing starts to stop. I’d rather be proactive.

It does not have to be a gyno and I have actually found that gynos are least interested in hormones and frankly do not really understand them for peri or meno use.  Find a doctor that specializes in bio identical hormones and that doesn't mean just pellets.  There are patches, pills, creams, gels, etc.  You just need to find a doctor that is willing to work with you and your current issues.  You are very smart to get this under control before it becomes a huge problem.  You may only need some natural progesterone but talk to a knowledgeable doctor and he or she can help guide you.  I so wish I would have known to get myself checked out way back in my early 40's and I probably would have avoided losing my uterus and ovaries.  It is a day I will always regret.

Oh man.  That sounds awful!  Some smarty pants 15 year old scientist needs to figure out a way to cure the horribleness of peri menopause/menopause.  No one should have to deal with that.  Partners around the world will be safer!

GET THOSE HORMONES BALANCED!  It isn't a strange, mysterious science, it's simply find a doctor that will check all hormones including the thyroid and get you balanced at any age.  Women suffer needlessly because doctors and women fear natural hormones.  Used with caution, meaning not overdosing on them, they are very good for you. We live much longer and the ovaries just can't keep up and it is good for so many systems in the body especially the cardiac system.  If you are suffering, see a doctor that can help lessen the blow of peri/meno.  I so wish I knew what I now know today about hormones.
