You and me both. I hated when men would throw in quads they couldn't land just to get the points. I'm happy with the new scoring system. It's not perfect but if you can't land a quad then you shouldn't be rewarded. I don't believe ISU cares. They're clearly pushing quads. I think it is going to take a serious injury like Tara's for them to look at this and/or change the age range.

Evgenia just talked about how weight was with Eteri. She couldn't gain any weight and poor girl was terrified to eat. Even when she moved to Canada she was scared to eat. I believe she said she weights 94 pounds. Which Eteri is proud none of her skaters weigh over 100 pounds. Thank goodness she has a nutritionist now. She said this is how she got injured. No food, low weight, jumping beans= body breaks down. I am scared for her quad monsters next season. Especially Anna who never leaves the ice just fast rotations and is so skinny already. Eteri doesn't work well with women or past puberty. Her quads is just fast rotation. Fast rotation requires small bodies with no boobs and no puberty. Elizabet's mom seems to like Eteri over Brian. At least he tried to fix her jumps. They still have technical issues but Eteri can't work with puberty. There's a reason why all of her skaters are small. She chooses them herself. She even told Paulina she was too tall and said to find something else to do. How rude! People defending Eteri is so gross. These are young girls. She even encourages and supports crazy diets. Yulia was only drinking some weird shake once a day. Alina said she doesn't eat, didn't even drink water during the Olympics, and skips breakfast, she might have a small piece of fruit. Only a piece of fruit and skating for 8 hours a day? Alena said she can only eat a small piece of bread. All of the girls are weighed daily. How can you skate, do quads, and not eat anything? Tech correct technique. Again, I will believe in quads for ladies when I see a grown woman like Liza do quads. Boobs, hips, healthy weight, no starving to keep your weight down. I hope the ISU doesn't allow quads in the sp for ladies right now. We have to see if these girls can keep them past puberty and as young women.

I remember the Russians booing yes booing skaters. At the Olympics during practice they chanted Evgenia's name when Alina was practicing. So the Japanese is the best crowd. I love how they throw things at every skater and has different countries flags

GS is the worst. I only read. I prefer this forum. I mean you can't say anything bad about the Russians or Eteri because she is a God sent coach and changing history. You can't talk about how young girls shouldn't do quads, their technique, or how it's wrong to starve skaters because they're winning.

The Japanese are so friendly to everyone. They were clapping and cheering for all skaters. This should be everywhere for every country. I know I get hated on(not here) because people keep thinking I hate the Russians, I don't. It just sucks the Japanese ladies actually have better technique than the Russians especially basics but the judges reward Eteri's technique and they don't call them out for it. When the Japanese ladies make mistakes it's terrible when Eteri does it it's ok those PCS scores hold up or they pretend as if they didn't see it. I hope Mie really helps Rika with her 3a. It's more mental than physical. Poor Jason. Being last to skate must suck. Especially after Chen and Hanyu. All he needs are clean quads and I could see him beat Chen and maybe Hanyu. And please, no more Carmen. Kolyada I don't understand why I have a soft spot for him. Maybe because Russian fed is so horrible to him and I feel for him. He's has the Russian men skating on his shoulders. And please hire eurosport or bbc for USA commentary.

I guess they ignored his tech issues. I often remind myself why viewership is down for the sport and why do I keep watching it when skaters are being screwed. Vincent should not even be on the podium. In what world? ISU rejected two separate panels for tech and PCS. I wonder why

Exactly. Between Tara, Jonhnny, USA fed, her dad making it look like Liu would beat the Russians or win gold. She is 13, has ur jumps, weak skating skills, and didn't feel the pressure to win yet. Try defending her title. Internationally they wouldn't let her get away with what USA fed allowed her to get away with. She would not win unless everyone else fails. I don't see her doing well in seniors unless she fixes her technique. They should be looking at Hanna, Ting, and even Starr. Hanna and Ting are both stronger than Alyssa. How in the world did Vincent get third? Please someone tell me. Worlds was bs. The Japanese ladies were robbed. They should just announce the winners beforehand instead of making it look like skating is judged. Nathan looks great. His jumps are cleaner and his height is amazing. He still doesn't do it for me in the artistry department. Also, Evgenia is in a new nike ad. Ice dance will always have their favorites. Sad because others don't have a chance.

I wish Eteri did well with her Male skaters. She has very talented Male skaters but sadly, I don't think she knows how to work with them. Most of them burn out. I agree. Poor girl has had it rough. Please Alina take a nice long vacation. You deserve it. Seeing the hate she gets from everywhere is so heartbreaking. I'm guessing Alina will bring Eteri flowers next season. At least she has sponsors and fans all over the world.

I'm going to post this here so I think Alina will have a tough season next year and/or retire. Which will be sad but she did her job for Russia. Russia's new number one lady and Eteri skater will be Alexandra Trusova if she still has her quads. Anna next if she has her quads. If Alena can get her 3a she will be right up there with Trusova. Their PCS scores will rise suddenly in seniors. I just hope Eteri's team will get new choreography and music cuts. I can't stand Danii's music cuts or choreography. And I hate how Russia and Tatiana Tarasova bash the Russian men. Kolyada is a good skater. Just so much pressure. No need to call him a disgrace. Give him a break. The Russian men is like USA ladies. Both federations pushing skaters as the next big thing and putting so much pressure on them. And I love to see skaters from small federations at Worlds. I wish they got more exposure/coverage and skating politics weren't involved.

I'll say top 10 or 12 if they call her UR. Definitely not top or 4 even with her 3a. That's just my opinion.

Did Evgenia get taller? She looks so tall here. Maybe it's the pic. So happy Alina and Evgenia can finally be together without fans and the media saying they hate each other

I wonder who Russian fed will choose next year to go to world's. I'm sure Evgenia is still the top lady because she has their support. Russia has three spots. Alena, Anna, Alexandra are all seniors next year. Liza is still competing. Sofia is too. Anastasia might turn senior. Who goes to world's? I'm guessing anyone with quads. But Alina is the defending champion. Will they keep her at home? Seeing Rafael with Lim broke my heart. You can tell there's tension. And USA fed need to accept their two spots and be grateful for it. Some countries don't even have two spots.

Nope, it's about quads now. That's why Elizabet came up fast. Next season her scores will be through the roof. Even UR quads are quads. it's a quad feast. Now, when injuries happen ISU will be forced to look at that. I was hoping Rika pulled through because she's the whole package. Nope. Quad feast.

Elizabet just landed an under roated Quad. So of course she's 2nd. Judges pushing those quads. Those PCS scores will probably be high. I wonder if Russia is regretting letting her go now. Poor Rika. Hopefully next season she'll have the confidence to land her 3a. I don't like Jean Luc and Kaitlin together. They look awkward. Finally Alina skated clean and won her first world medal. However, it wouldn't shock me if we'll see her again. Poor kid had a rough season. Eteri has 3 new seniors now. At least she ended her season well. Her program is still awful to me especially with the music cuts. I hope next season she will have a good program Kolyada. I wish Russia wouldn't put so much pressure on their men. I thought not having American, Russian, or Japanese judges would mean fair scoring. Yep, I was wrong again. Let's pretend we didn't see tech issues. I also love how sweet Japan is to every skater. They cheer and clap for everyone. I also see their arena is full. Too bad we can't have a full arena like that. We need axel cam too. The thing with Bell is so confusing. It sounds like she was running through her program and it was an accident. These things happen all the time. Maybe Rafael might let her go after this. The hate she is getting is sad. Notice how the podium is 1. Eteri 2. Eteri. 3. Use to be Eteri. 1. Russian. 2. Use to be Russian. 3. Russian. An almost Eteri and Russian sweep.

Mariah's bullying situation made top news. TMZ, NY post, Washington Post are reporting it. I hope RAF and both ladies make statements because this whole thing is crazy. And what happened with Hanyu? He's in third. Nathan first and Jason second. I'm surprised but I'm happy for Jason. At least this shows you don't need quads to medal. Nathan's PCS scores are a joke.. Also, I wish we can have the jump distance and height camera everywhere.

I'm not a huge fan of pairs but I love Sui/Han. Beautiful SP. I wish I can understand Russia so I can understand Tatiana's commentary. Their SP was just amazing. Too bad I can't rewatch it because I'm sure when I wake up it will be gone. And Satoko's along with others PCS scores are a joke. Really?

But Elizabet has a quad. Judges want quads. Why go with Samoduorva when Tursynbaeva might land a quad? And she is with Eteri. I honestly thought she was 16 or 17 she just turned 19. She's so tiny. Eteri's style fits her I guess. The judging is all over the place.

Also, I'm just going to say it and I'm not being mean, Eteri's face look like she had botox or work done. She looks so different with Yulia than with Alina. Also now Liza has skating drama with Anna. Apparently AnnaPogorilaya she's a Russian skater criticized Liza's gala program and said Evgenia deserved to attend Worlds over Liza Drama at US nationals and Worlds plus the drama in the season this year. Too much skating drama.

Omg what? That's terrible. I never ever would ever expect Mariah to do this. This is terrible. Poor Rika. It also must be hard being at worlds, being a first year senior, and being at home. I'm unhappy with men'a roo because it's all about who can land the most quads. Skating is a jumping contest now. Artistry is dead. Judges want to see jumps. There are very few ladies who can do a 3a. Right now in seniors it is Rika and Liza who has a 3a. Now ladies I mean kids with quads are a different story. So ladies were on 2am usa time and already videos are being taken down because the ISU live in the stone age and don't like fans watching skaters. Can anyone update me with ladies sp?

Ok I'll just admit I want Rika to be first and don't care who's second or third. Rika won me over. I also love Kori . I hope Alina skates clean. USA can pray they keep two spots. Nathan has improved so much but he has zero artistry and I hate his costume. He looks like a penguin. I hope Hanyu is in top shape since his injury. I secretly hope Kolyada medals because I have a soft spot for him. Just like the USA ladies the Russian men are under pressure to hold down Russian men skating. The hate he got from Russia after Europeans is so sad. Give him a break. And for goodness sakes no more Carmen. The only Carmen I like is Katerina Witt's. I really like James/ Cipres. I don't really follow pairs as much but I really like them as a team. I think we know who will win in ice dance. Skating politics. Yet again. I hope Russia can be competitive in ice dance and pairs again but we do need to keep judging *fair*. I use fair loosely here because there is no such thing as fair in figure skating. Tara and Johnny need to shut up. Between Hanyu/Chen, the Russian ladies obsession,and calling Alyssa Liu the next Michelle Kwan and mentioning her when she can't even compete as senior yet or didn't go through puberty. Let's talk about the skating that's in front of you. Do your jobs. Explain and tell people what's happening at the competition. Heck, I wish I understood Russian and Japanese because maybe they can do commentary better. Also, I don't understand why they don't have the team event at worlds but the have it at the Olympics.

I'm often reminded why I can only watch skating during an Olympic year, why skating viewing has declined so much and why I haven't followed skating like I use to. ISU should remarket themselves. NBC sucks. I'm sorry it does. Even broadcasting the Olympics they suck. I don't understand how they can get more fans which means money and views and they don't even show skating. I mean even gymnastics show gymnastics. Why not show skating? Even dance show dancing. Of course USA has a very deep ice dancing talent pool but hey let's not show that. Let's hear Tara, Ashley, and Johnny instead and their obsession with the Russians and Chen/Hanyu. No need to watch ice dancing folks. And yet again I can't even watch ice dancing and see wonderful ice dancers because there is no way to watch it. As soon as a video is up, the ISU takes it down. Back to Worlds, I hope everyone skates well. The results will be interesting for sure. Now, I'll have to depend on skating fans to keep me updated. The skating lesson interviewed a former judged. I haven't watched all of it but it sounds like an interesting interview.

I don't believe Quads will be the norm or even 3a because it's difficult to do in ladies skating. Even when Tonya landed her 3a it didn't become the norm. I'm not convinced yet until I see a grown woman passed puberty land quads. Right now only girls who starve themselves and didn't go through puberty yet are landing quads. Let's see if they can land them when they're adults with an adult body then I'll be convinced. I don't believe the judges will reward artisty like they use to. Sad because I love seeing artistry and technique. Now it's all about the jumps. Who can jump the most quads? Who can jump the most? Pick any song and just jump.

This is why I can rarely watch skating in America and why it's not popular here. You can't watch it anywhere. I usually have to depend on YouTube and fans to watch skaters programs only for the ISU to take videos down. Also, I can't stand Tara or Johnny and their obsession with the Russians or their Hanyu/Chen obsession. Eurosport does an excellent job at commentary. Too bad I live in the USA.
