For those of you who feel Nate can't/shouldn't be redeemed/forgiven, I'm curious - how do you guys feel about Rebecca, in comparison? Do you feel her redemption after what she did throughout the first season was earned? I mean, she tried to ruin the lives of *other people* in order to in turn hurt Rupert. (I've realised I still hold a little bit of a grudge even though I love her, heh.)

I think it’s important to note as well that Rebecca made and began executing her plan prior to actually knowing Ted. In fact, it was fact that she began to know him that led her to change her mind/approach.

Nate knew Ted from the beginning and still actively chose to act/work against him simply bc he felt his “feeling” was stepped on. Instead of TALKING to Ted, he decided to be passive aggressive and petty and horrid.

  2. 1) I love that the doggy had a safety helmet. That was best!

    2) dear Nate, I hate you. You have a persecution complex. No one was “out to get you” no one was trying to undermine you or wanted you to fail. All of that was you. Your own lack of self confidence, your own feelings of inadequacy. EVERYONE was on your side- especially Ted. And you blew it all up.
man’s now you are going to fail and fail infamously. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy.

    3) well Sam, I think the universe pretty clearly told you that you made the right decision!

    4) Roy and Keely made me sad. I hope they figure things out and come back together stronger

Clearly, Broadway didn’t learn its lesson after Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. That’s all I can say.

Yeah, my second thought was “Wow! This is cheesy. And bad.”

my first thought was “is that Adam Pascal?”

  4. Bad husband needs to go away. You don’t get to come back just bc you blew through all your money and found out that girls aren’t so interested in you when you aren’t paying them. You blew up your life. Now live with the consequences. Alone.

agreed that showing gabby the video could have waited until at least the next day. But I don’t disagree with her when she said he put himself in that position. He chose to go out to a club. He could’ve come home and rested for the next day’s practice or gone home and called gabby or gone to gabby’s. He knows what his former reputation is and if he’s showing up in the same places, he should know people are going to expect that same version of him. You gotta change to show you’ve changed. On top of that, he still has options after it happened. He could have called gabby as soon as he was in the car and told her what happened. Instead he hid it. After saying “no more secrets”.

  5. I hope hot sound guy becomes a recurring character. I like hot sound guy.

is there a bit of Retcon going one with Gabby from the pilot?
Bc she implied to a friend that she and BFF/then boyfriend were on a break and she hooked up with someone and had sex. That’s how she ended up pregnant.
I can buy her lying about the details to friend bc of the nature of the situation, but this episode implied that the “relationship” with the teacher lasted for months and he only dropped her bc she became pregnant. So then, she was in a relationship with Justin and was cheating on him the entire last semester of high school? 4 months or so?
or are we now pretending they were never dating back in HS?

  6. It’s not like I expected this to be GOOD, but man is it worse than I thought it would be. Generally my rule is you get 3 episodes to sway me. I made it 10 minutes into episode two before deciding there were about a 1000 other things in my streaming queues I’d rather spend an hour on.
The moment the saber tooth pounced and the CGI got all shiny and weird for a second, I think that’s when it lost me for good.

like, the CGI on Legends of Tomorrow isn’t always great, but they don’t take themselves seriously. This show takes itself WAY too seriously. And at least half the actors seem to have graduates from the Joey Tribbiani school of acting.

  7. Oh Bev, a martyr in her own mind!

so glad she died terrified, screaming and crying and trying to literally dig her own hole

in response to some previous questions, simply ingesting some of the “angel’s” blood would help to heal and renew you. You could continue on as usual, just…. Better.

if something happened, and you died, the blood in your system would reanimate you but there would be side effects. You would have a craving for blood, for some overwhelmingly so, and you would be vulnerable to sunlight. The Dr explained it as severe anemia and a sun allergy.

Riley never took communion, but after the angel killed him, Pruitt force fed him blood to keep him from dying.

The sheriff never took communion and that’s why he fell over dead with no chance of reanimating.

Dr rejected the blood- spit it out- so she wouldn’t reanimate.

Leeza and little brother (warren?) never died so they never reached that second point.

Erin only died right at the end so she either burst into flames as soon as she rewoke or before she even could do so.

no one else in the first stage ever had issues with sun, only blood removed from the body and put in direct sunlight reacted.

since leeza states she can no longer feel her legs we can assume the angel died  since, according to lore and The Lost Boys, when the head vamp dies, everyone infected by him at all, reverts to normal

  8. To answer a question asked a few times above- I think Ali has actually been attending for a little while. We didn’t see every single day I think. He began attending at some point during Lent, and may not have taken communion at first bc of what his father had said. As he continued to attend, he either felt peer pressure or curiosity or a true calling of some sort, and took communion.
They were having mass nightly before Holy Week even began so he had plenty of opportunities to attend.
The service shown in this episode was a Holy Saturday vigil into Easter morning. So from late Saturday night until the next day.

I think the intent of Pruitt was to keep them all (bc I believe almost the entirety of the island was there) inside the church until Easter evening.

  9. Ok, it’s too late for me to binge another episode, but I’m 99% sure I’ve figured out what the deal with the priest is now.
I have some idea how things would move forward from there, but don’t know the end game yet.

  10. The only Avenger I didn't see a reference to was Thor- did I miss one?

    Bruce Banner- name check

Anthony Stark- name on the screen as a target when the satilites are linking with gunships

Clint Barton- referenced via Natasha's arrow pendent on her necklace (which makes me really happy)

I guess the bonus scene could maybe be viewed as a reference to Asgard and therefore to Thor, but it, obviously, calls to mind Loki for me.
