  1. 1. Roy and Keeley are at least engaged, but hopefully we see the wedding. Roy saying vows would be fucking epic. Also I say Jamie is the the best man.

    2. Nate will eventually be forgiven but he’s going to have to go through a lot of pain before that. But I don’t think he comes back to Richmond. Some things cannot be undone.

    3. Colin scores an epic goal against West Ham and rubs it Nate’s face.

    4. Rebecca…that’s harder. I don’t want her with Sam or Ted. It wouldn’t be the worst if that’s the way they go but eh. I do think she finally is able to not let Rupert get to her. He’s a piece of shit, but it’s easier said than done.

    5. Ted learns to believe in himself  I don’t think he does yet. I do think he heads back to the US but will find another team to coach. Or become a consultant of some kind.

    6. They win the whole fucking thing.

It's probably not an original expression, but my mom used to say that she could forgive but she wouldn't forget. That's how I feel about Nate and any redemption arc. He can earn forgiveness, but bridges have been burned and he cannot return to Richmond.

This is what I think too. Nate is fucking around, and eventually he’ll find out. I suspect he will have an epiphany and try to make amends, and while Ted may ultimately forgive, Nate might need to live with the consequences of his actions.

So much to love about this episode.  Worried about Ted though.  I want him to get into the “win the whole fucking thing” mindset.

Ted believes in everyone but himself. I think he needs to come to the realization he is a strong and capable man, and not a piece of shit  and I think he will. I do think they win the whole fucking thing in the end and that everyone ends up in a better place than they are right now.

And unless I missed it, how on earth were they in a sewer with a rat and there wasn’t one TMNT reference!

I think I don't usually like the first episode as it takes me a minute to get back into the groove. Not too many zingers tonight, but lots of set up for things to come. I did absolutely adore Phil Dunster's way of saying "poopie" as Jamie and will have that in my head forever now.

Not a fan of breaking up Roy and Keeley given that they had SEVERAL conversations where she said they weren't breaking up, she just wasn't going to Marbella on vacay, but I have faith that they are endgame.

I still get weird vibes from Keeley's mysterious financier and really the rest of her crew. Like, I get why the CFO is charmless and doesn't "get" Keeley, but did Keeley hire any of those other people? Why would they be freaked out by her screaming when Rebecca shows up? Also, Rebecca hasn't come by ONCE in the last six weeks?

Nate's in way over his head and the social media obsession is only one of MANY things that's going to bite him in the ass. Letting Rupert buy him a car is ... ugh, c'mon Nate! I want to root for his redemption the way we rooted for Rebecca's, but he's making it difficult right now. Can't wait for their first loss!

Yes the weakest part of this for me was definitely everything with Keeley. Suddenly she’s just some silly girl who likes flowers and doesn’t know what a CFO is. And of course a woman can’t have a new job without it harming her personal life. Jesus, Mary and Fuckface Joseph, we’ve seen this plot a million times and it’s always dumb. And while I also expect they do ultimately get back together, it’s just a lazy trope. That being said, the scene with them and Phoebe was well done, you could feel the pain. I hope they don’t drag it out until nearly the end of the season and wrap this up quickly.

Much like I will always say bèbè like Moira Rose, poopeh by Jamie Tartt will be in regular rotation.

We’re still very much in the dark forest. Hopefully they start making their way out soon.

  5. I told my husband about halfway through Gabby and Jimmy were going to hook up. Not sure how I feel about it.

I keep seeing people comparing it to Ted Lasso as a “feel good” show. Am I missing the feel good part? It has its moments but it’s not a warm fuzzy show. Everyone’s kinda messed, and that’s ok. I can dig it but right now it just seems to be people who should know better making bad decisions. Which happens with grief, but I haven’t felt the grief yet. This is the first time we got anything on his late wife and that wasn’t a whole lot, I’d like to know more about her.

It’s funny and Harrison Ford has some killer one liners so I’ll keep watching.

Sas is really going to love the Heatty/Nigel thing as he loves drama, it really makes his afterlife fun.

But Jay and Sam were boring in this episode.

I think this is why I didn’t enjoy it much. It’s Valentine’s Day. It’s not my thing but I feel Hallmark movie loving Sam would be all about it, yet their celebration was an afterthought.

I know it’s hard with a large cast to give everyone equal time but I think the Thor and Flower story can take a back seat for a while.

    I have my doubts.

For a habitual oversharer who has no boundaries, it’s very vague. People who have a miscarriage have the right to share or not share whatever they want, but this is Jillpm, so if giving this a side eye sends me to the mythical Bad Place, I’m fine with that. I am not sad there isn’t another child she can neglect and use as a prop for their grift life.

Of course she throws some shade to heathens because us of the world cannot possibility ever feel devistated about a miscarriage if we have living children. Nope only she and her GODLY Christ honoring family get why it’s sad.

I live in Milwaukee, and the closest airport is Mitchell Field, which is hardly major like O'Hare or JFK.

Ugh, yeah MKE has like a Chili’s to Go, and that’s about as nice as it gets there. I actually love airport people watching so having a layover and a nice meal is part of the experience for me. my layover in Detroit was such a let down, everyone was quiet and kept to themselves. I’m sure the Philly airport wouldn’t disappoint! Barbara would have seen some things!

I keep hearing Sandra from Superstore in my head “He didn’t know that she knows, and now he knows” after this episode. Janine and Gregory are cute, just get it done already.

  9. This episode was really good. I snort laughed at Nancy and her “get some strange” means unfamiliar genitals.

I do think Issac’s “we have eternity” is a bit ominous for Nigel. But maybe Jenkins or some other minor ghost will get sucked off and Issac will stop with the baby steps.

It depends on the airport, and I cannot speak to Philly's since I've never been there. But there are definitely airports in the U.S. with very nice dining options, such as steakhouses and wine bars. As you might expect, the odds are better at bigger airports that include international flights and where it's not unusual for people to be there for hours waiting on flights.

I recently had a very long layover in Detroit for a work trip due to a missed connection. I ended up at an Italian place that was actually quite good. A bit over priced because it’s an airport, but I could expense it so I didn’t care.

Oh look what Heidi got for her birthday. The big red dress and pearls she wore in the hostage video.

Girl RUN! You looked perfectly fine here. Do not marry a guy that picks your clothes for you. It’s not sweet or cute.

Ugh. I’m sure this will be a super quick courtship and rush to the alter so she doesn’t have anytime to think this through. She’ll be pregnant by the end of the year.

It sucks to be a girl in this cult. See also Anna Duggar and her shit parents.

I know, I still can’t understand it. I am grateful every day that even though my parents attend/attended AOG/Evangelical churches they raised my sister and I to get a good education, support ourselves, and never once pushed any purity nonsense. We were valued as human beings.

It's also possible that David would watch the entire show and then join Jill in a rant about the female "sinners" on stage. The rant might become part of his canned singing circuit sermons. The Rods are nothing if not hypocrites.

Very possible, it seems to be a pastime among the conservative crowd. My god father was an AOG pastor. When they retired to Florida my parents would join them and their other friends for watch the Super Bowl, and my parents wouldn’t watch half time because it wasn’t their thing and they’d do something else. But all the other couples would watch and then pearl clutch about all the ungodly and inappropriate things and complain endlessly about it. My mom said she never understood why they willingly watched something they knew wouldn’t approve of.

The Rods love to be outraged and feel persecuted, and will actively seek out ways to insert themselves. It’s their brand.

Liz' husband is hilarious.  And yet, I feel kind of bad for him because he's trying to connect with her, but she's too caught up in in Jimmy and Alice's life.

Yeah, I don't know if she recently had something done and it hadn't settled when they filmed the show.  Compared to Wendy Malick, who either has a better routine, great genes, or combo thereof.

I prefer this over Ted Lasso so far.  The show isn't pulling any punches about Jimmy being a bad parent, friend, and therapist despite his grief.

Her character on Frasier was very open she had work done, but I don’t know if Wendy actually has. She does look amazing either way. I’m not totally anti cosmetic enhancements, but most of them are done terribly. If done right, no one should be able to tell

Dr. Coomer knows his audience pretty well. He makes it pretty clear that he's promoting discipleship, not psychology. If you're right with Jesus, all your problems will disappear.

He has a disclaimer that he and his business are not responsible for any negative outcomes from their counseling services. I wonder if he and his trainees are skilled enough to identify really disturbed people and willing to pass them to professionals.

    😂😂😂😂😂…no.

Maybe some of them possess enough self awareness to know when someone needs help beyond what this “course” can provide. But if you’re willing to pay to take this course and call yourself any kind of counselor, critical thinking likely isn’t in your wheelhouse.

  16. I’m enjoying this. I don’t think it’s at a Ted Lasso level, but it’s funny. I’ve never cared for the actress that plays the neighbor but she’s not too bad here other than the face fillers, they are very distracting. Considering she’s the wife of the show runner, I’m going to have to deal.

I do wish they’d give Michael Urie more to do than be the funny gay BFF, but I do appreciate that they have a gay man and a straight man being best friends.
