Kocktails With Khloe - General Discussion
HumblePi replied to OnceSane's topic in Kocktails With Khloe
This show of Khloe's is about as entertaining as filing my nails. I'm so over it. (bible) -
Jax has to be juicing. He has the appearance of someone on long time steroid use. The facial enlargement, the bulk added to his frame and his explosive and aggressive personality. I'd bet he's using anabolic steroids.

Incidentally, the Jewel Suite at the New York Palace Hotel costs $25,000 a night, and wouldn't you know they're all booked up for the dates I requested. :) From the previews, It appears that the Dubai hotel will make the New York Palace look like a public toilet. -

Anything is possible but in my own imagination, I see some dark stuff behind his black eyes. Maybe the chapel in their big house doubles as an S&M chamber? A simple curtain or velvet tablecloth put over the religious stuff and voila, 'get the cat o'nine tails babe' -

She definitely needs the support of a good bra. Yolanda is too old to do the hippie no-bra thing. I really don't want to see Yo's nips poking out. She could also have picked out a color (heck, even lemon-yellow) for that sweatsuit or whatever it was other than 'dawn of the dead gray'. Quoting Mary from Reality Tea her recap of this part of the episode went like this; "David straps on his facade, musters up a smile and a bravado about kicking everyone out of the suite so he can make sweet lemonade to his wife. “We’re gonna burn that bathrobe, baby!” he champions hollowly. Meanwhile in his mind David is composing an anthem of freedom which consists of him fleeing a prison of lemon orchard brambles, disrobing from the shackles of Lyme and flinging off that bathrobe to ride off into the sunset on the twinkling keys of his piano." -

This is what sickens me the most also. Yo and David persist with the pretense of still being in love when they're in front of cameras and with acquaintances 'for appearance sake' but in private it's an entirely different scene. That's the difference between wealthy, disingenuous, shallow rich people and real people that wouldn't fake love for appearance sake. David Foster and Yolanda are more concerned with how they look to others rather than being genuine. In the end, they just end up looking hypocritical and deceptive to everyone. They trade dignity for public image. -

You've done a lot of homework and an excellent job at dissecting all of these complex relationships. I like to keep it simple in my head (the 'KISS.' approach) The bottom line is that they all dislike each other for whatever reason and want camera time so they expand on whatever minutiae they can dig up or hold onto that will do that for them. The thing is, Erika isn't talking about a $50 piece of jewelry from Macy's, what she's talking about is a piece of jewelry that's probably valued at a quarter of a million dollars. I know that everything is relative but if we wanted to buy a ring for ourselves that had a price tag of $5,000 we would certainly not buy that without 'prior authorization' from hubby. -

I am so jealous of the fabulous hotel suite they had in New York, gawd....that terrace and hot tub, to die for. But I couldn't help but have such a creepy, awful feeling watching Yolanda and David together acting as though everything was all love and kisses and all the time they were in the midst of serious marital problems. There was a few moments, that was quick and hard to pick up. It happened while Yolanda was outside on the terrace. Kyle was inside sitting on one side of a long couch primping herself, fixing her hair and adjusting her dress, not aware that the camera was on her. A minute later, Erika sat next to her, then Kathryn came and sat on the couch too. David had come with a glass of wine in his hand and sat at the opposite end of the couch with his friend Tom. Neither of them were in camera sight when they spoke, but the sound was picked up. The brief interaction went like this: David's friend, Tom: "how are you?" David: "good" Tom: "are you feeling better?" David: "A little, yeah" "It's been a stretch" Tom: "I want your life to go back to the way it was, when you first got together" David:"How's that going to happen?" Tom: "It's gonna happen" David: "I don't know" Yolanda: "David has lost his wing-man. He married a woman that was a social butterfly always out and doing and doing and then all of a sudden I got sick. I'm a shell of the woman I used to be." So all of this toasting each other and 'love you' stuff they showed in front of their friends out on the terrace was all bullshit. David Foster didn't have the beautiful blonde on his arm to show off in public, that's why he wanted a divorce. Next week, in Dubai..... I might just puke. -
Whatever happened to Aleks from 'Overboard'? Maybe he was allergic to cooties. Kristen also said "I feel like my cheek just got an STD" or something to that effect after a kiss on the cheek from James. I had to laugh out loud for real when at the engagement party James greeted her with a kiss on each cheek and she says "Ohhh, are we British now?" DUH Kristen, yes..... he is.

In my fantasy (although yours is awesome), I would clap my hands if a long-lost tribe of aboriginal ancient Hawaiian people creeped silently out of the jungle and kidnapped Jax, carried him over their heads (in a ritualistic manner) to the beach to roast (spike up his ass) over an open wood flame, eat him and throw the rest to the pigs for dinner.

Jax is definitely exhibiting some of the more obvious signs of long-term anabolic steroid use which would also explain his explosive temper and the theft of sunglasses. I figured a long time ago that he was using and now I have no doubt about it. Physical signs; Unusually greasy hair or oily skin Small red or purplish acne, including breakouts on the shoulders and back Bad breath (I only assume this one) Disrupted sleep patterns (not sleeping well or sleeping too much) Fluid level changes, bloating (face & body), and night sweating Rapid or progressive weight gain Increased muscle size (sudden or progressive) Hyperactivity or lethargy (too little energy) Personality and Emotional signs; Extreme mood swings Increased aggression or irritability Becomes disrespectful or abusive (verbally and/or physically) Poor decision making stemming from feelings of invincibility Becomes secretive and/or starts lying Withdraws from family members Depression (especially when steroids are discontinued) Paranoia – extreme feelings of mistrust or fear The sides of a person's face don't spontaneously pop out sideways on its own and stay there. Steroids make bone mass increase. Jax (Jason) Taylor has aged at least 10 years in the last three years he's been on this show. He's most likely using cocaine regularly which would also explain his extreme aggressiveness, paranoia, overconfidence and poor judgement.

These are all horrible people and even worse actors. They're given a thread or theme to follow by the Bravo writers, a story-line to build upon, and then they're set loose to go with the flow and use their own unscripted dialog since none of them is intelligent enough to memorize more than two lines. My stand-out, most memorable line came out of Stassi's mouth when she and Kristen were casually crashing the engagement party. "I so admire Kristen's bravery when it comes to crashing events. Somewhere along the line she had a 'shamectomy', that part of her has been just like amputated". (insert dramatic music here) Okay so this is what I'm talking about. A woman that admires another woman because that woman has no shame at all. So cool, right? This whole clan of misfits can't really sink much lower, can they? They're all either alcoholics, drug abusers, cheaters, liars, sexual deviates or in the case of Jax Taylor just plain lowlifes. Do these people plan to grow up to be an adult some day? The hard party life is beginning to show on their faces. Take a look at photos of each of them from two years ago or even last year. The changes in their appearance is remarkable, and it's not a good type of remarkable. Even Lala who is one of the two youngest in this show, she used to be attractive and 'clean' looking but now she's looking more whorish, cheap and tacky. Although Kristen and Stassi remain on the top of my list of people that disgust me as human beings, Jax, Lala, James are right behind them on that list. I'm going to throw Lisa Vanderpump into that list too because in the final analysis she's the one who conceptualized this whole nasty business and gets to shove it all in our faces every week. The show is demoralizing for society in general. I wouldn't allow my teenager to watch it if I had teenage children and I won't contribute to the ratings by watching it next season.

It's been mentioned a couple of times on the show that Caitlyn is still living in the 'pink cloud', ecstatic about finally living her dream as a woman. Her focus is on the delight in the female accoutrements such as expensive designer clothes, long hair, makeup and plastic surgery to make her face more feminine. She hadn't really considered the legal rights she would be either denied or entitled to by Constitutional law. She had 65 years to think of those things, but did she really do that? If she had, she could have easily done a lot of research into the struggles of transgenders or anyone that's involved with the issues of the LGBT community. Caitlyn is a 'babe in the woods' so to speak when it comes to awareness of the many issues facing LGBT. The day will come when she'll come face to face with hatred and scorn, and she is not going to take it well. Statements she made prove that she's very naive and really not grasping what the others are trying to explain. "Sometimes these girls think that now that I've transitioned that everything has to change," (Caitlyn told the cameras in a private interview later.) "You can't be conservative anymore. You have to be a liberal. No, I don't believe that." She then added: 'I think I can keep all of my views the same cause I feel in my heart that's the best way to go.' This comes after Caitlyn said that she wants to date a man and have a traditional boyfriend/girlfriend relationship

As you just stated, heated disagreements do present some dangers. If a person wants to remain in a 'safe' or 'indifferent' zone then they avoid confrontation. There's always a danger of a difference of opinion becoming so filled with anger that words might be said that could never be retracted. I'm sure we've all been there at one time. I think that Zackary expressed her opinion to mean that she didn't want to breach that comfort level with Caitlyn and alienate her. Giving Caitlyn time to calm down and get to a point where she could communicate without anger was the best alternative. The others didn't feel safe going there, and it wasn't that they felt physically threatened.

I just wanted to share a funny story about toilets since the culmination of their trip seemed to be the placement of the 'neutral' bathroom sign with both a male and female on it. Watching that I wondered if people realize how good we have it in the United States. We like to think we're appreciative of what we have here in the US but do we really know how much we have that other countries don't? The campaign slogan "Make America Great Again" has irritated me since I first heard it because guess what, America already is great. It's probably the greatest country in the world. But yes, certainly we have a lot of work ahead to make it better. But putting all the politics aside, my mind went back to a small town in Mexico that I had visited in the 90's while traveling. I had to use the restroom, I didn't expect to find both a male and a female separate restroom, after all, this was Mexico. But what I found surprised even me. It looked identical to this photo. Forget about male/female bathroom, forget about privacy and forget about the luxury of a toilet seat. Incidentally, only one of the two china thrones had water and was operational. I know it's a great big deal for people that have transitioned to have their unisex bathrooms finally in some places, but considering the alternatives they have in other countries around the world, it all seem just a bit trifling now. *I have edited my verbiage to be politically correct and also to be in compliance with the guidelines of the LGBT community.

I am in awe at how intelligent and rational Zackary Drucker is. She made more points in her POV reflections about Caitlyn than either Kate or Jenny Boylan. I think that they should show more of Zackary and her points of view than Boylan. I can't even imagine how Caitlyn managed to raise 3 stepchildren and 2 children that are all female and all totally anti-conservative.
-
And it wasn't only her political views that made everyone flee like a fire in movie theater, it was her being one-sided and not open to listening to what others had to say. It was like she was playing a loop in her head, a loop of words and ideas that just recycles in her head and never deviates. This is the mark of a close minded person, one that's unwilling and unbending to acknowledge the ideas or opinions of others. This isn't the open mind of a transgender person, this is the mind of an old-school, die-hard rich Republican male.
-
Jenny Boylan has a huge inflated ego and because she's on the faculty of Barnard, she feels her opinions are more important and matter more than anyone's. For me, she has been off-putting precisely for that ability she has of trying to make others think as she thinks and believe, what she believes. That's not the real world. People are people whether they're straight, gay or transgender and have a right to their own opinions and way of thinking. But Jenny Boylan has lived under way different circumstances since her transition in 2000. She still lives with her spouse and two children. She put herself in the position of living two lives and still being who she really is, a transgender. I think that Kate Borstein has a much more realistic and grounded acceptance of who she is and how she's perceived and whether she's accepted or not accepted. Caitlyn has a very long road ahead of her and although she doesn't realize it, she thinks she's already there. The only difference about her narrow minded way of thinking is that she can hide behind her transgender issues. She's still the same person inside her brain, that's not changing. This way of thinking is in direct conflict with her new lifestyle and the lifestyles of others who have transitioned. This is going to be something that Caitlyn will be forced to change if she wants acceptance, otherwise the community will rebuke her. Caitlyn Jenner does not have the strength to stand strong if the transgender community turns on her and begins to berate or reproach her instead of cheering and supporting her. The vehement affront Caitlyn had with the others about Republican v Democratic candidates illustrated that she isn't interested in listening and accepting historical facts. Caitlyn wants to hold onto her misguided ideas that are negative even though they have no factual basis or have been proven. It's narrow-minded, prejudicial and not the way to have an intelligent discussion. I'm editing to add an afterthought. It was something that happened very quickly. When the group finally arrived and got settled in their rooms then sat down at a large table for dinner and everyone was uncomfortably quiet. Jenny Boylan said "let's all hold hands. She proceeded to say "It's been a long day I thought". Everyone at that table knew what she meant and that she was obviously referring to the drama of the political debate. Caitly chimed in with the remark "It's a long way", meaning the trip itself, not the political friction. The others at the table remained silent and went on eating. It was awkward because they were uncomfortable and Caitlyn was very unaware and even unconcerned that she had made the situation difficult.

I find something very disquieting about Tom Girardi. Maybe it's in his eyes, they're cold and black. Girardi was the trial lawyer who waged that important war against PG&E in the Erin Brockovich case and set the gold legal standard for similar cases that have come along since the landmark 1993 case. Tom Girardi had taken Pacific Gas and Electric down to its knees in that case. It's very difficult to find any 'real' personal information about Thomas Girardi online but he has dined and rubbed shoulders with some of the most powerful and influential people in the country including former President Bill Clinton. Tom also served as a consultant on the film and was there nearly every day of the filming when Julie Roberts was in the scenes. As Tom related the story, “I was having dinner with President Clinton – just the two of us at Giorgio Baldi’s. You would have known everyone there but me. Tom Hanks was there, Steven Spielberg was there. It’s a real hangout. So I’m having dinner with Clinton and in walked Julia Roberts. I stood up and she said, ‘Tom!’ and I gave her a hug.” So, you get the picture, Thomas Girardi is practically iconic. Tom is 76 years old and I assume is heterosexual. But there doesn't appear to be any information regarding former wives or children. Either he was never married before Erika or he was and has managed to hide all his personal information from the public. He seems to be quite proud of Erika and has publicly said “Erika is awesome. We’ve been together now 16 years. She’s a dancer and a singer and she’s had eight No.1 hits on the Billboard charts – the last one just a few weeks ago, called ‘Crazy,’ She’s a hoot. When I won that case against the Dodgers in connection with the fan who was left disabled, I was very happy about it. At 3 a.m., she woke me up. She said, ‘Let me tell you something pal. Anybody can win a trial. … Singing a song – that’s much harder!’ And then she turned over and went back to sleep.” I can't put my finger on it exactly but I get an uncomfortable feeling about him, like there's a very dark side to him. But, Erika got what she needed, a man with tons of money who is willing to let her have her frivolous career as long as she stays in line when she's around him. -
I just watched an old episode with Leah and Brandon, it was before they were married. Leah met with her father for lunch. Her father, Don Felder was a guitarist with the Eagles. (Hotel California) I was surprised to find out that Leah had such a famous father and she still turned out to be a very sweet and uncomplicated woman. Brandon and she make a great couple. They got married in 2012 and had Eva James Jenner July 2015. I guess it had occurred to me that since I happened to be watching an old Kardashian episode, how really fortunate that Brandon was able to emerge from a broken home with good values. He appears to be grounded and found a wonderful woman with Leah. It makes me think that his mother Linda Thompson must have been very focused on raising her children the right way. I thought how very strange and bizarre the life of celebrities in Hollywood are and how closely related their circle of friends are . Linda Thompson met Elvis Presley in Memphis, TN and became his personal secretary. She and Elvis were together for four years. Linda Thompson was an actress and appeared in numerous television series. Linda was married to Olympian Bruce Jenner from 1981 to 1986 and they had two sons, Brandon and Brody. Linda is also a talented lyricist and collaborated with several composers including David Foster, whom she married in 1991 and divorced in 2005. Of course we know that David Foster then married Yolanda Hadid in 2011. It seems that in Hollywood, everyone has either slept with, been married to, or have had some relationship with each others spouses. Today Kris Jenner and Yolanda Hadid are good friends. Just recently David Foster was out having a romantic dinner with actress Selma Blair and guess who stopped to chat with them at their dinner table? Caitlyn Jenner. It can make a person crazy trying to keep up with them.

Kathryn Edwards is too hard to take. She never shuts up and she's not satisfied unless she brings attention to herself by causing trouble. I hope that Erika punches her in her crooked mouth. And why the heck does she insist on calling Lisa V, "Vanderpump". What if Lisa and others referred to her as "Edwards" ? The woman has no manners and yes she does need a lot of work on her feminine side as she said herself. In my opinion what Erika actually said, "sniper from the side" and what Kathryn told the others that she said "pulled into her web" have two very subtle but different meanings. Kathryn totally changed the words of what Erika told her and embellished it to be more dark and dramatic. By 'sniper from the side' I believe that Erika meant that Lisa Vanderpump remains outside on the edge of trouble directly but plays a covert role in inflating a situation in her silent way. "Pulled into her web" to me means that Lisa Vanderpump would be the instigator by turning people's ideas about someone into a negative. Being pulled into someone's web suggests that others are gullible and can't think for themselves, that they're malleable and naive. Being a sniper from the side means that someone wants to cause trouble but not get the blame for it. -
