  1. The allegations have not been proven to be false. https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2017/11/danny-masterson-rape-allegations No decision has been made yet. Instead, the case appears to have been stalled even though there is allegedly "overwhelming evidence."
  2. Well then I guess we know their real reason for cancelling Hindsight. They wanted to free up the timeslot for another crappy reality show. It's quite idiotic they're claiming they had to cancel Hindsight because television is "over-saturated" with scripted shows when that's even more true for reality shows.
  3. It shouldn't. Filming for season 2 won't start until next spring.
  4. There's lots of scripted shows on other networks, but none on VH1 like you said. So their decision to cancel it is stupid when their statement said scripted shows are a part of their line up. What other scripted show do they have besides Hindsight? Their bajillion crappy reality shows don't count.
  5. Agreed. I really hope Rachel wasn't playing Adam. Currently I still believe she has some redeeming qualities left, but if she slept with Adam just to manipulate him when she knows he considers her a friend I'm going to have a hard time rooting for Rachel from here on out.
  6. This 100%. I just can't get on board with the Jeremy character period because they've failed to explain his point of view. It's hard to like to like somebody when you don't fully understand the reasons for their behavior. I get that Jeremy was supposedly "hurt" by Rachel because she appears to have commitment issues, but all I've seen of their relationship so far suggests to me that Jeremy is more concerned about his wants and needs over Rachel's. For the most part he acts completely disinterested in Rachel's life and what she's going through. She had a mental breakdown on the set of their show. He witnessed it himself yet he didn't even bother to go check up on her when she was away hiding from everybody. She was and still is dealing with some very heavy emotional and mental stuff in relation to her job, but does he act like he cares? No, in almost every interaction with her he's making it about himself. This is probably sounds a little weird, but Jeremy is the least likeable character to me. I think the show is trying to sell him as the "nice and dependable" ex-boyfriend and it's not working for me. He's more like that ex you dump for being a self-involved jerk. Yes, most of the other characters have technically done worse things than Jeremy, but they're at least self-aware of who they are. With Jeremy I feel like he thinks he's the nice supportive boyfriend. He's not.
  7. I didn't misunderstand anything. I knew what you meant.
  8. That's another thing we'll have to choose to agree disagree one because I don't agree with that comparison either. Chet was cheating on his new fiance of a day with a co-worker because he is and will always be a cheating sleazebag.. Rachel isn't in a relationship with anybody. Sure, sleeping with Adam (regardless of what her motivation was) is a bad idea that will probably lead to some consequences for herself if the network bosses or Chet find out, but she wasn't committing a personal betrayal to anyone by hooking up with him.
  9. I guess we'll have to disagree on this because I can't buy that Rachel would go along with blackmailing Adam with a sex tape involving herself. She knows Adam well enough to realize he would never cooperate with her if he were to find out she was involved in a scheme to blackmail him. Adam also said to Anna in a previous episode that he knows there are cameras in their rooms. If he didn't want their hook up filmed, he would have made sure they were disabled first since he stated himself that he knows how to do that. And I disagree that Rachel is like Chet. Unlike most of her co-workers, she actually does feel guilty when she has to hurt someone in favor of the show. Chet and Quinn don't care period. Rachel has had moments where she has chosen the high road (like when she chose to protect Faith's sexuality. She even stood up to Chet when he wanted to us the footage). Quinn and and Chet would have never done that. They would have outed Faith on the show and wouldn't have felt the least bit sorry about it.
  10. I don't think that's the case. Adam and Rachel are both aware that there are cameras in the guest rooms He even told one of the contestants (I think it was Anna) that he knows how to disable the cameras. Adam had already pretty much agreed to do Royal Love at that point so there was no need for Rachel to sleep with him to convince him to do it. Rachel and Adam have also formed a friendship. He sees her as a friend now and trusts her. If her sleeping with him was just another manipulation scheme to get him to do the spin-off show and he found out about it any chance of him trusting her about anything ever again would be completely destroyed. Heck, he'd probably even refuse to do Royal Love. I don't think she slept with him to gain any kind of leverage or power over him. When Rachel manipulates people she's usuall much smarter and smoother than that. Someone else here suggested the idea that Adam and Rachel are in cahoots together and wanted Quinn to find their sex tape. I find that more likely than Rachel playing Adam since he had already more or less said yes to the Royal Love idea after she told him her idea about the vineyard.
  11. She's definitely aware that Chet's a horndog. Chet's soon-to-be ex wife is pregnant so she knows he was still sleeping with his wife while he was also sleeping with her. I think she got caught up in the moment when Chet proposed to her and hadn't had time to consider yet what their relationship would be like when they're married.
  12. It didn't occur to me that Rachel was playing Adam. I thought sleeping with him was her just finally doing something about her growing attraction to him.
  13. Yeah, I'm confused why Quinn sees the sex tape with Rachel as any sort of leverage against Adam. He's already had a sex tape released, was caught sexting his ex, and has been caught with hookers. If none of that embarrassed him then releasing another sex tape of him sleeping with a production crew member won't embarrass him either. Funnily enough, I was actually kind of shocked about Chet sleeping with the PA. I guess I should have seen it coming, but I thought he was really serious about wanting to make a commitment to Quinn. He chose to leave his wife for her which I never thought he'd do. I guess this goes show that Chet will always remain a cheating sleazebag no matter whom he's with.
  14. I've seen both seasons of Challenge: Exes and I don't remember any of the former couples having a history of physical abuse against each other. With that said, The Challenge producers have definitely been known to invite back people who have attacked other competitors on the show. Years ago one of the cast members punched someone in the face and chased him around the house threatening to murder him. A couple seasons later both were paired together for the first "Rivals" season. They also keep inviting back Nia who attacked one of her female roommates on the Real World, tried to get one of her friends to beat up a male roommate, and sexually assaulted said male roommate on the last season of The Challenge. I don't watch The Bachelor so I don't know how similar it is to Unreal in terms of the behind the scenes stuff, but I feel like Unreal is a pretty realistic (and scary) representation of what occurs on The Challenge and Real World sets. There's two rape incidents that occurred during Challenge/Real World filming and in both cases the producers did not want to cooperate with the investigation. That's very eerily similar to Rachel and Quinn choosing not to be honest about the reason for Mary's suicide because they don't want to lose Everlasting.
  15. Part of the reason I've had a hard time warming up to the Jeremy character is because I can't figure out what the writers are going for with him. Is he supposed to be unlikeable? If so they've done a great job because currently I hate him more than Chet. But Freddie Stroma called Jeremy the "nice guy" in one of his interviews. I don't know if that's his own interpretation or if he's been told by the show creators that Jeremy is supposed to be the good guy. I sure hope it's not the latter because I tend to find the majority if his interactions with Rachel quite appalling. He's either telling Rachel everything that's wrong with her or he's cheating on his fiance with her. Rachel needs to tell Jeremy to take a long hike off a cliff.
  16. Does anyone else feel like that could potentially be a really bad move for the show? From what I've seen, Jeremy is very unpopular with the viewers. Most seem to prefer Adam over him. If they're going to keep one of those guys for next season it should really be Adam. He and Rachel have better chemistry and their interactions with each other are more fun. Adam on his own is also a heck of a lot more interesting than Jeremy. Anytime Jeremy is on screen I just want him to go away. The only times we ever really see him is when he's acting grumpy toward Rachel and his fiance or when he's hitting on Rachel. None of that is worth keeping him around.
  17. It's definitely not a coincidence that Rachel's plan B (forging the note) also helped saved the show. I'm sure Rachel wants to believe she did it to protect Lily Belle and to keep Mary's scumbag ex from profiting off of her death, but there were other options. She could have gone forward with publishing that footage of the contestants repeating what Mary told them about her ex. She also could have told the police that Shia switched Mary's medication. The latter would have had Shia being the one facing legal trouble instead. Yes, that would have caused the show to be canceled, but that would have been a way for Rachel to get out. The fact that she chose not to use this as a way out for herself goes to show that Rachel doesn't hate working there as much as she acts like she does. I'm going back and forth on whether I liked this episode or not. It was definitely very entertaining, but I found the actions of some of the characters (mainly Rachel and Mary's sister) extremely disappointing and downright disgusting. Rachel ultimately chose to protect the show in the wake of a contestant's death that was the show's fault. But of course Rachel being Rachel wants to pretend forging the suicide note was purely about justice for Mary and Lily Belle. I also hated that the sister went along with it. The ex-husband had a known history of violence against Mary and their daughter. She didn't need a fake suicide letter blaming the husband for Mary's death to win custody of Lily. Her going along with that when she knew the producers invited the abusive husband to set without Mary's knowledge felt very contrived. I hope Mary's suicide is a storyline that will be revisited in the future.
  18. That makes them liable for Mary's death, though. The contestants would also be able to confirm that they saw Mary drinking, which would a) make the producers look more guilty and b) confirm to the sister that Shia lied when she said Mary wasn't drinking. Unreal prides itself on being an inside look into what really happens on reality shows. If this happened in real life something like this where a show is at fault for a contestant's death would definitely end with the show being pulled from the air for good. A controversy like this always leads to sponsors pulling ads from the program.
  19. They can claim that's what happened. Doesn't mean people will believe them. They have a reason to lie after all. They don't want to lose their show.
  20. That's what I was thinking too. I'm not sure how the Unreal writers can even come up with a believable way that Everlasting could continue period after a controversy like this. In the real world the public would be demanding the network cancel the show and the culpable parties be punished.
  21. Any guesses on what this jaw-dropping scene is going to be? I think whatever it is will involve Mary because of how last week's episode ended. And yay on the show being renewed! I was afraid it was going to get cancelled because it looked like the weekly ratings weren't that great.
  22. I disagree. To me, Rachel and Quinn are the only two people working for Everlasting that I find interesting. The Unreal writers have done a great job of making those two very compelling characters to watch, but other than them the rest of the behind the scenes people are forgettable. I don't care about bland Jeremy and his equally bland fiance. Shia I hope is gone by the end of this season because her stupidity annoys me too much for it to be entertaining. Most of the contestants and the bachelor himself have more interesting back stories that could add a lot to the show if any of them were to stay past this season.
  23. If Faith still fears outing herself when it's time for Adam to pick a winner, I can imagine her going along with a false engagement. She trusts Adam now since he accepted and protected her after revealing her secret to him. Her grandmother also wants her to get married and Faith wants to make her grandmother happy.
  24. Not necessarily because Faith being a lesbian kind of works in Adam's favor since he's not genuinely interested in forming a long-term relationship with any of these women. Picking Faith could actually be a safe choice for him since he knows there's zero chance of her getting emotionally attached to him. She might go along with it out of gratitude for being so nice to her after she came out to him.
