  1. I was also surprised that they edited out Kalani's solo! You could see her backstage and in the wings in her costume, and they even showed her as the second overall winner in the lineup as Maddie went to get her award. Why would they do that? They could have used some of the time they waste on the fake scripted drama to show us the things we actually care about, like the dances and the dance competition. I do like how they featured the studios that the ALDC would be competing against. I wish they would do that more consistently. It makes me care more about the competition results.
  2. Yup, no sign of Chloe! And Nia didn't perform in the group dance I saw, although she was on the stage for awards.
  3. I went to this taping. Kendall got second place. The Club Dance dancer who beat Kendall was the best of the bunch. I was a bit surprised that Kendall placed above the other two Club Dance dancers, but it wasn't completely far-fetched. The only thing I can think of that was in Kendall's favor was that she had more of a "dance," whereas the Club Dance choreography was more still, and really just showed off their dancers' control and flexibilty. As far as the group dances, I did enjoy the ALDC group the best. The choreography and music were both very dynamic, and the girls were very cohesive. Club Dance had three group dances (two in the same category as the ALDC), and all were excellent. Their dancers are amazing-- I'm sure Abby wishes she could poach all of them. But I preferred Abby's choreography (which is not something I usually say). So that win seemed deserved (to me).
  4. How does this accessory-after-the-fact stuff work? Franco's been covering for Sonny for months, including sitting on video evidence. Does finally showing Sonny's confession in public negate that Franco was just as complicit as Carly in covering it up for all that time?
  5. Random thoughts... Tea's mom continues to delight me with her fashion choices. Forever 21 is not just a store, it is her fashion motto. She does have a great figure; it's too bad she can't dress age-appropriately. Christi and Abby absolutely bring out the worst in each other. I do think next season will be more enjoyable without Chloe and Christi at ALDC because it is just so uncomfortable. I think Abby is terrible, but I think she will be way more tolerable without her dynamic with Christi, whom I also find terrible. I don't really get the issue with Melissa. I understand why Melissa was so frustrated when Abby played the "will-she, won't-she" with the Maddie solo-- it put Melissa (and Maddie) in a bad position no matter what. I also understood the reasoning why Maddie did the last-minute solo to ensure Ava didn't win first place. It wasn't about Mac, it was about Ava. But then again, based on what I see, I don't find Melissa to be as devious as the other moms insist she is. Lastly, I have to agree with Abby that both times Kamryn competed against Chloe, I thought Kamryn was clearly better and should have easily won. Of course, there have been many times this season I thought CADC's group dance should have beaten ALDC and that didn't happen either. I do really like Kamryn and Jade's dancing, so I wouldn't mind if they stuck around.
  6. I’m sure some of it is editing, but Christi’s arguments are usually ridiculous. Does she honestly think Kamryn and her mom should have stayed home this week for Chloe’s sake? I’m sure Chloe was the last thing they were thinking about when they agreed to appear. It’s getting a little absurd how Christi thinks EVERYTHING is about Chloe. She also needs to cut it out with the criticizing of the other girls’ dancing. Stop bringing up Kamryn’s flubbed turn and Maddie’s sickled feet. Don’t disparage the other girls in an attempt to validate your daughter. I know it’s a reaction because she feels Abby’s favorites are never criticized, but it is cruel for her to take it upon herself to bring those girls down.
  7. I can't wait until this season is over so I never have to watch Christi or Chloe again. This show might be enjoyable again once they're gone. Christi makes me seethe.
  8. Haha, I thought Flaca liking The Smiths was a total stereotype! At all of the Morrissey shows I've been to, 90% of the crowd are Latin American/Mexican and are styled very much like she is. This is in SoCal though, so I don't know if that is true in other parts of the US.
