  1. Savannah, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family and thank you for taking the time to let us know.. Your Aunt Kathy sounded like a great lady and her presence will be missed here.
  2. Whoa. I'm shocked that the women in pink is Camille. Our Camille? She doesn't look like herself. I like Lisa R and Shannon. Eileen looks great from the waist up, imo, I'm not a fan of how the pants look sitting on her hips. Lisa V is just no. Kyle looks much better with a brighter lip. I love a good plunging neckline but something about her whole look doesn't do it for me, here. Those sunglasses as hideous. I mean WTF, really. I don't really understand most designer fashion though. That pic of Kyle in Amsterdam was her at her best.
  3. My thoughts will be with you tomorrow morning, ub40fan. Best wishes on a quick recovery.
  4. I really need to start reading the non-episode threads. Hugs, Higgins. It's all good. We can get all riled up with each other one minute and then go back to laughing and liking posts, the next. We're just passionate people, here, but no one seems to hold grudges, which makes this place great. I am seriously so jelly of you and your mother.
  5. Turtles and windmills and uppers, oh my! Just inhale the poppies and don't pay any attention of the addict behind the curtain.
  6. If feels like the Richards/Hiltons are the type of family that has that love/hate kind of loyalty where they show up when shit hits the fan, but spend much of the rest of the time either avoiding each other or sniping at each other. Kyle's tendency to flee or hide seems more understandable to me when you look at who she's trying to escape. Kim can be quite verbally abusive and if all of the stories are true, they were a family that physically fought each other, too. Even with Kim's threats to Lisa about HH and her insult's to Eileen's face, what really stood out to me and disturbed me was Kim's animated reenactment of Kyle hiding behind her blankets on the plane. That was straight up cruel, imo, and then she upped the ante by talking about Kathy being the better sister. It's been discussed that Kim is rarely seen acting as Kyle's big sister, but I think she is and always has, just not the supportive kind of big sister. She's the big sister that likes to push her baby sister down and take her toys. I kind of wonder if Kyle looked up to Kim (and to Kathy) growing up and now that Kyle has the better life and doesn't hold that same kind of admiration and idolatry for Kim, her bitterness just goes into overdrive. With just a few words, Kim is able to knock Kyle right back down into childhood again with the same kind of crying, whining, hiding and fleeing behaviors. Maybe this show will serve as an intervention for Kyle, rather than for Kim, which actually might prove to be more successful and worth the effort.
  7. Oh, Copa, I just love you for this post and for making an A Clockwork Orange reference. And also for using the word "cranked". You make a good point about age and personality. Let's face it, this is probably going to be Kim for the rest of her days. She's not getting any of the gray matter that leaked out of her ears, back. Unless she becomes medicated to the point of being docile, I think she'll only get more bitter and mean.
  8. I agree with this but I also don't see a way in which Kim would be held responsible for her actions without also angering the beast. The only way to keep Kim acting pleasant is to do what Brandi did -- tell Kim that she is perfect and how much she does for everyone and how everyone depends on her and how no one understands her pain. That's it. That's the only thing that won't make Kim angry. There's no talking to her otherwise. She will not be held responsible because she refuses. Out and out refuses. That's why I think it's such a waste for the HW to tiptoe around her addictions and nastiness. Don't say anything -- she's nasty. Say something -- she's nasty. So stop giving a fuck and just tell the bitch how it's going to be. I appreciate Lisa for apologizing and trying to find common ground. But Lisa make a huge miscalculation when she tried to speak to Kim like she's someone capable of reason. I can understand though, because it's so tempting to want to "clear the air" and try to resolve animosity, even though you don't think the other person wants to hear it. And what's worse is that people like Kim drive others to levels of insanity that in turn make Kim seem like the victim. I hate that Lisa ended up becoming physical. I hate it for Lisa's sake, not Kim's. It's about time someone told Kim that she can't speak to people that way. Kim is not going to get me to fall for her bullshit of victimhood and I ain't mad at Lisa. I think a lot of us do, and there's nothing wrong with that! It's funny how Kyle can't ever do right. When she "fights" (Season 1 limo, double birding Kim at the gay mixer, etc) she's vilified. When she runs, she's mocked. What's a girl supposed to do? lol I love this post. It's so true from my experience. People who are sober and in recovery generally do not mind speaking about their addictions or recovery status, if someone politely asks. Also being concerned about them doesn't usually result in belligerence and threats. Kim doesn't want to be confronted or asked because she's not in recovery. She's lying to herself and she doesn't want to have to think about it. Also I've never heard of anyone in recovery stating that it's not a relapse unless they feel like calling it a relapse. That's not just a red flag -- that's "I'm using again" being spelled out in Morris Code. Exactly. I'm blown away at how many times Kyle and now Lisa R are getting the blame for this. If Kim wasn't putting her life on TV, then her addictions wouldn't be talked about. If Kim weren't USING while putting her life on camera, then her addictions wouldn't be talked about. Kim has done this to herself. And I've said this before, but if I bitch is going to act crazy around me, esp. more than once, you bet I'm going to talk about it all I want. "Can you believe what this crazy bitch has done now?", I'd say. Kim tries to control everything and everyone in her life but that's not how it works. She can't stop people from sharing the experiences they have with her and she isn't owed anything by these HW or by the world. That's Narcissism at its best, right there. Yep, you're so right about that. I said in the episode thread that Kim is a mean sober. She's no longer avoiding her demons by drinking/drugging so she's filled to the brim with self-loathing which she turns outward and accosts other people with it. She refuses to self-reflect and deal with it by taking responsibility. Lashing out at others has the same effect as drugging to her fragile ego.
  9. Yes and I didn't like when the other husbands were dragged through the mud, either. Not Kelsey, not Russel, not Eddie, not Mauricio, not Ken, and not Harry. This isn't Festivus. Why air dirt about other people's families who have done nothing to you? I guess I just don't like this aspect of the show -- the "I'm going to get as much dirt on you as possible and then tell everyone in the world" part. It isn't fun for me. I actually liked the conversation at the table before Kim was Kim. It was nice to see them being vulnerable to each other and to the viewers and bonding from that. You know, I just thought of something. Brandi's off camera drama (The String) was never mentioned on the show by the other ladies. She brings up their off-camera drama. Kim's off-camera drama (her son) was never mentioned on the show by the other ladies. She brings up their off-camera drama. BFFs 4Eva.
  10. IMO, Harry may have participated in a few scenes but whatever Kim was talking about was obviously not something that had been filmed. That's the difference, because Kim got high on camera and basically on the job, while on the clock. Not only that but unless she was witness to HH doing something, like the other women, especially Lisa R, had to witness Kim doing something, it's not the same. She's not comparing apples to apples, here. If HH had done something during one of his scenes -or- Lisa R had talked about it on camera, then I could see the comparison. But Kim went for the jugular (emotionally and verbally). Bringing up off-screen drama is always iffy, but I think it's even worse when it's done out of revenge, which is what that was about. Kim was pissed and wanted to hurt Lisa and she did. Anyway, I need to save some of my ire for the actual show or I'll have nothing left to say!
  11. And what's funny is that even if Lisa hadn't mentioned anything right then and there, Kim was still pissed at her and was treating her like shit. If anything, Lisa just sped up the confrontation. Kim is a horrible human being. No way would she have not taken any opportunity that presented itself to go off on everyone. She's done it twice so far -- at the airport with Kyle and now at the restaurant with Lisa and Kyle and Eileen. She's LOOKING for a fight. There's a lot of rage in that women and she's on the warpath. There really is no winning with her. If you said "Bless you" to her sneeze she'd call you a slut-pig because how dare you call attention to the fact that she sneezed. It's no one's business!!! She hasn't sneezed in THREE WHOLE YEARS, dammit! Bitch be crazy. No avoiding it. This would have happened regardless because she needs to release some of that anger. eta: She's done it three times actually, because she went off on Lisa on the plane.
  12. The first thing I noticed in that picture was how great Kyle looked. She can be very striking with flattering clothes and makeup. I couldn't be an actor either, but it's because I can't remember lines for shit. lol I can bring the drama and the tears and the cat fighting. Just don't ask me to say anything from a script. What bugs the shit out of me with these two (Brandi and Kim) is what I said above; they think they can get away with their bullshit. And they think they can because of the women they are doing it to. Which is why I'm kinda glad Lisa did go off. Brandi wouldn't dare say she'd kick the ass of one of the NJ or ATL HW. They'd take her up on her offer and then some. And I highly doubt that Kim would try to intimidate those HW either. HumblePi, I'm wondering that as well. The show has painted itself into a corner I think. I think if both Brandi and Kim left then it would be salvageable but there's just so much contempt and out-and-out hatred with the current dynamics. This show has really lost me because I wanted to see fun and flashy BH stuff, not this. I hope none of the other ladies get into it with each other because I don't think I can handle another round of Kyle vs. Lisa.
  13. I feel weird even typing this, but if Kim knows something (and it's bad) then I hope it's that he's a cheater and not that he's ill. Only for the fact that Kim throwing an illness (of a spouse no less) in someone's face is so despicable, that I can't even. I can't even.
  14. ryebread, LOL What in the world is she doing in that clip. I have to say though, I'm grateful to Kim for the blouse with the bow THs. They make awesome gifs. I think, just like Brandi, Kim knows that she can push the other HW buttons and get away with it because 1) it usually brings more ratings and 2) apparently it's hard to get fired as a HW. So, they taunt and tease and drop hints. All for their own satisfaction. These two can suck it.
  15. I'm trying to remember what was said. I think Kim said something about "what's going on in that house" or something to that effect. But regardless, implying that there's a big, explosive secret with HH, is also implying something about their marriage, imo, in that it's not what Lisa and HH are portraying outwardly. I don't know if she was implying cheating or illness or what. Whatever it was, Lisa seemed to know exactly what Kim was talking about. I honestly don't care what his secret is, if it's anything at all. I didn't care about the Mauricio rumors either. I only really care if it's something that the HW are willing to get into themselves and it becomes a part of the SL. I don't care for second, third, forth-hand accounts because there's to much filler and little truth.
  16. Beats having to peddle those Depends. Hey, Kim's not working right now is she? ....I'm sure they could use a new spokeswoman.
  17. My whole life long I have never taken a pill (I've taken lots) that disagreed me (lots there, too) so much that it turned me into a belligerent, narcissistic asshole. So I think Kim needs to drop that "It disagreed with me" bit from her repertoire. I don't condone violence (well, maybe a little) but as I watched Lisa's face go from sad, to confused, to incredulous, to angry, to ragey, to Cut a bitch, I could totally understand how she snapped. "Going there" with HH and their marriage was low. Kim hit below the belt. Earrings are coming off. I want to be Eileen when I grow up.
  18. Oh hay, this is where you all are. No, no, no. She took a pain pill that disagreed with her. But shhhh... we can't talk about it. For reasons. I have 100% love for your post. Will you be my belated Valentine? See, here’s the thing. Lisa didn’t mention Kim’s “sobriety”. She mentioned that she lost a sister to substance abuse and it’s a huge trigger for her and she is sorry that she overstepped because of that. NO mention of Kim being a nasty-face, finger-flinging, pillow-pooping, slut-pig of an addict.
  19. rho -- That's interesting about Malibu. I guess people just go there for the beach and leave if there's not much else to do? The beach scenes do look beautiful. I'm an East Coast/DC girl through and through but man, I love warm weather and beaches. Every winter I think that maybe I need to give CA a try. lol Thank you so much, Zoeysmom. I had no idea First Looks were so long! I thought they were maybe a minute or so. Holy Balls, I wasn't expecting it go down like that. I want Kim off the show so I can pretend that I never knew who she was. Sorry she’s an addict but she’s also a horrible human being. She wants to drag everyone down with her because she doesn't want to get out of the gutter. Vile. Even more so than Brandi and there’s no doubt in my mind that that’s why they are “besties”. Miserable fuckers. I wish that the Yolanda I saw in those clips was the Yolanda I saw every week. I actually enjoyed her candor about their lives not being as perfect as they feel pressure to present them to be. That is the kind of thing I enjoy seeing; a look into the glitz and the glamor of BH but also the real people behind it. For the first time, actually found her relatable and dare I say, humble. Okay, I now feel like I have more understanding of where LisaR was coming from with her fixation on Kim’s (non)sobriety and I feel just terrible that she has lost so many loved ones. She looked like she was in real pain talking about her sister. Since she and Kyle are longtime friends, I’m sure she knows Kim to some extent and her personality (and reputation) and she knew that Kim was supposedly “sober” at the time of filming. On Poker Night Kim got into that limo fucked up six ways to Sunday and Lisa knew instantly that she had fallen off the wagon. Lisa said that she’d never seen Kim behaving that way before. She absolutely knows from experience that one slip can turn into a total free fall, so yes, imo, she was genuinely concerned about not only Kim, but also about Kyle and how this would all affect her (Kyle being in Harry’s role as the sibling). Kim did not deserve Lisa's empathy or offers of help. And I'm more sure that nothing about what she said about Kim was for “air time”. While I know Lisa can hustle it, I don’t think she has that “Machiavellian” personality like we’ve seen from Camille, Lisa V, and Brandi. I could be wrong but she just doesn’t seem like a schemer and a plotter to me. If anything, she seems to be more “in the moment” and “go with the flow” to me. Her approach to handling Kim in the limo seems in line with how she usually is and at that dinner (in the first look) she seemed to be reacting to Kim in the moment, oscillating back and forth from humility and sympathy to confusion to anger. If Kim hadn't been a Terrible Human Being, there would have been no blow up. I have a feeling that we're going to overload PTV's bandwidth, on Tuesday/Wednesday, with all of our venting. For me, it's going North in the single lanes that get to me. There are bunch of roads I try to avoid driving on as much as I can because I have no patience for traffic. lol I live for my backroad "shortcuts".
  20. Thanks rho, Fozzybear, Zoeysmom, AnnA and everyone who helped me understand better where all of the HW live. I wonder if distance plays a part in where they shoot their scenes and who shoots scenes together. Like instead of having most of the ladies drive to Malibu, it might be easier to have them all gather at a more central location around BH. Where does Brandi live, again? She's friends (or was) with Yo, and we see her trekking there pretty often for scenes. Do we know if the HW get any sort of stipend for using their own vehicles or is that included in their salary? This is true of the DC Metro area as well. It's not the miles that determine how long it takes to get somewhere, but traffic, weather, construction -- all that good stuff. I think that I'm so tired of talking about The Three Stooges (Kim, Kyle and Brandi) that I'm now more interested in learning about LA geography and production. And I'm half rubbing my hands together and looking forward to next Tuesday and half already cringing in my chair out of disgust and second-hand embarrassment, because I know it's going to be a clusterfuck of epic proportions. And only because I like Lisa R do I hope that she is given ample "reason" to go all Soap Opera Crazy on Kim, because once you start throwing glasses and tables and shit around and snatching weaves, your reputation is sealed.
  21. It’s like every episode ends with an edge of your seat cliffhanger. What ailment will Kim have next?? Will she be able to make chicken salad??? How many times will Kim blame Kyle for her pain???? Tune in, for the continuing story of Kim Richards, on General Housewife.
  22. Does anyone know how these areas rank in terms of status/income? For instance, I have no idea if Beverly Park is as affluent as Beverly Hills. I never know how impressed I should be. lol
  23. Villa Rosa weirds me out a little -- it's so large, and so commercial looking in some shots. The yard is gorgeous though. Yo's house feels similar to me. I think I like Lisa R's, Kyle's and Eileen's much better because they feel more "homey" while still being amazing.
  24. I think you're right about Eileen and Yolanda, since it's quite a drive for the other HW. I thought Lisa V and Kyle lived near each other but maybe not. Adrienne lived across the street from Lisa V. but both moved.
  25. I actually have no idea. I'm on the East Coast and I know nothing about BH, except for what I see on TV shows (I'm sure it's completely accurate lol). I know a lot of the HW on every franchise don't actually live in the area that the shows are named after.
