  1. We don't yet know WHY he was unconscious. But that scene was around 2 weeks after the gala.
  2. I feel like Lee is the one on the redemption train. They've made Charlotte so overtly awful - at the same that people like Lee and Stubbs are getting more sympathetic nuance - that I can't see any route forward for her other than a big dramatic, fist-pump finale death.
  3. Charlotte is just the absolute worst. The perma-smirk. The casual cruelty. The snide, mean girl comments to other humans. Urgh. I will consider this season a failure unless I get to watch her die at some point.
  4. When Musashi has his duel this week, they seem to be outside the Japanese Mariposa, so i'm assuming Maeve and Lee grabbed their clothes whilst they're there (they change back into the same outfits), and Felix/Sylvester/Hanaryo get kitted out once they're down in the tunnel.
  5. There's an interesting piece from the Guardian here surrounding the local perspective on Dunkirk, and how they hope the release of the film might change the narrative and understanding of French involvement:
  6. Seeing it all written down like that really make me realise that things obviously go seriously awry on this show between the planning and broadcast stages. What's even odder is that various cast members have spoken before about not knowing what was coming up for them until they actually read the scripts, so...at what stage in the process are these massive alterations happening?
  7. The pertinent bit in that for me is 'nor are there any plans at this time for HQ to surface on the TV series', which suggests...they changed their mind about the character? Curious given they told us she'd be appearing only a few weeks ago.
  8. I would say that this is Gotham, where nobody ever truly dies. (except for women, of course/bitter). But I really can't spoil plot, i'm sorry.
  9. It's a GREAT episode for Harvey. He has one of my favourite scenes and he's basically holding everything together.
  10. You're welcome! It's funny, you're the first person to actually ask about Harley! Also funny is that I got the end and then went 'wait, wasn't Harley Quinn supposed to be in this'? I can make a guess who she's going to be based on what happens to a certain character, but there was certainly nothing explicit to confirm it as far as I can tell. (Full disclosure, I don't like the character and have only the vaguest idea of her backstory, so I may well be missing out on something).
  11. Here we go: this season's final advance review. I hope they've been mildly informative/entertaining and thank you all for reading!
  12. You're going to be screeching in horror half way through, but a lot more satisfied by the end, would be my take.
  13. Finished, overall feeling pretty satisfied. Whilst a ton of things happened, this felt pleasingly character driven. (Full preview to come Sunday, I hope)
  14. Right, screeners have appeared (yay!). I'M GOING IN!
  15. I'm not sure - there's been nothing put up as of yet, but perhaps this evening...? I'm officially down with evil Lee. I'm cheap and easy that way.
  16. If Barbara has a shred of intelligence, that should be her cue to kick Ed to the kerb. An ally with a fixation to the detriment of her continued power isn't an ally at all. Unluckily for her, I suspect she'll realise this too late, and at a time when she's already pushed Tabs and Butch away. Given how unpleasant they've made her in this past arc, there's likely some bad karma heading her way in the finale.
  17. They're quite extraordinary, aren't they? They didn't seem to be doing it in episode 19, so I wonder if his hat is too tight and it's giving him a bit of a Croydon facelift.
  18. That really made me cackle. Ed is there all 'you will call me daddy The Riddler', whilst everyone else stands around looking vaguely uncomfortable. Ed, you're such a creep. This episode also reminded that one of my initial concerns about this Ed v Os arc is that both of them are protected by a significant amount of plot armour and aren't going to die. The whole thing is ultimately futile, as we saw with Ed's stalling here. I found myself strangely emotional at Ivy saying she couldn't leave Oswald. I will choose to believe that Ivy is the hero of the 'heroes rise' subtitle and nobody can convince me otherwise. Ivy is the hero we need and deserve. Harvey and Alfred continue to be spectacular (although, did he REALLY call Strange a slag?), and I found myself enjoying evil Lee. As much as the weird decisions taken to get her to the point really irritated me, you get good, fun material in Gotham as a villain and Morena Baccarin was obviously having a ball.
  19. Unfortunately, there's been no screener put up yet, so I haven't seen it! I know it's Memorial weekend in the states, so i'm doubtful it will get put up at all now. The Lucifer one did get posted, so i'm curious as to why Gotham didn't....
  20. This Bruce storyline has been such a crushing disappointment. I was really excited when it started, but now I find myself groaning every time we cut to him.
  21. I think you disliked this one almost as much as I did...
  22. I'm amused by how much everyone on that team loathes each other. Also, CMS's reading of 'stern updo' was spectacular. They have released a boatload of photos for episode 21 and 22. All the expected madness, with added foxy evil Lee.
  23. I'd struggle to place trust in the person who shot me last time I saw them. I do see what you're saying, but it seems to me that such a level of trust would have to be won back gradually. It wouldn't be there automatically after what happened, given Oswald sees it as such a betrayal and must make him question what he really does know of Ed.
  24. If it hadn't been for that fact that LESLIE INFECTED HERSELF ON PURPOSE WITH THE BLOODY TETCH VIRUS, Oswald letting Ed have access to his neck with a sharp implement would have been my stupidest move of the week. That is really living dangerously, Os. Ed does love a neck. Although my first thought watching that scene was actually 'hoo boy, this is gonna inspire a boatload of fanfic'. Which I will totally read, not gonna lie. ETA: Also, I love Alfred. That is all.
