  1. That would be interesting...and then for the finale they could have turned him back AND we wouldn't be left with the plot holes of Regina and Zelena somehow not aging. I dont think it is actually intentional that they are writing Adult Henry like kid Henry..I think they just don't have the ability to write a grown up version of Heny.."Henry is the TWUEST believer and he likes 80s mixed tapes....and uh, that's all we got..." any different then the kid version. They are that untalented.
  2. I like Aladdin for uh, scenery, the rest of all that was stupid..and I dont' blame Clone for wanting that but..yea, the was a funny line.
  3. Agreed...I was looking forward to a more edgy , adult, darker season with the urban setting, but it just seems to be even more flat then SB. Why not make Henry something other then a doufas for once...have the curse make him an alky or a least a heavy drinker..angry at the world...it might be tasteless but the Curse could implant memories of him being on duty in the Middle East and now he is cynical and angry...he is a pacifist now which makes it even wose when he wakes up and find out his mother was a mass murderer! I thought the addition of the coven would naturally lead to an earthier use of magic, especially since we now find out that the magic came from this world. I always found their airy fairy Disney magic to be kind of just stupid..unlimited power, unless the plot calls for it or you are a good person, animated "rays" and smoke, and dumb characters (i.e. Henry) who "believe" in "magic" but are always screwed over by it (I would think in SB they would have rounded up every magic user and cuffed them to prevent further issues.) I know AHS did this and Salem also, but..instead of "thousands of years ago" make it that a small pocket of magic users lived in this world and tried to do good, until they were killed off by Puritans who thought their power came from Satan.. Gothel is immortal and could not be killed but was changed up and walled in a cellar..where she was left to go insane until...completely unrelated to her...Driz casts the curse and the the neighborhood built up around her...people from an actual land with magic different from hers but usefull just the same in her revenge....same basic storyline, just more "realistic" (and a new title card..."hundreds of years ago")
  4. Since S2 they have been writing these characters as if they were indeed cartoons so it makes sense, ala Fred Flinstone or or course Mickey Mouse he would wear the same clothes...
  5. I think with Charming it was more like..."Eye candy" then she was attracted to his nonexistent personality...but yea, she woulda done him in a hear beat! Ah, that scene made me think of the good old days!
  6. Hence, why it never happened on A & E's show..it might have made more sense and been entertaining. I always thought Regina needed a strong man with strong moral code to push back on her...and I think she would be turned on by it so now that I write that and I see it would have been a "taming of the shrew" cliche I can't believe they didn't do that! Though seriously, why have the characters this season live with normal people but no normal person is a major character this year? Instead of Zelena and her one episode boyfriend it should have been Regina who fell in love with a cop on the force, someone "normal" with a brain who is starting to piece together that something aint right in HH. Regina wakes up per Driz and has to keep herself in the closet with the boyfriend..etc. That would have been a good problem..how to tell your boyfriend..a stand up guy, not only that you are the EQ but that you are a mass murderer, and actually, a two time murderer in this very world..maybe he could have been whatshisface's (the kid who was there when SB was created) friend and he was investigating what happened to him and what had happened to his father, but it went cold in the good old Maine wilderness. Regina's cold blooded murder in this world would have been more interesting angst then Zelena burning the arm of a Hansel clone in whatever version of Oz they happened to be in.
  7. Also..I thought you could "Learn" magic and that everyone could do it as long as they had the "talent" for it, like I guess playing the violin. Regina learned magic..Cora learned magic...Regina told Henry she could teach him magic...Zelena was a super Tabitha Stephens prodigy but Emma had it within herself and could use it in the LWOM..No one in the writers room thought or talked about this???
  8. tennisgurl, you can drop that mic as your post summed it all up.. I wanted to find out why there is a LWOM...(which is different from our LWOM mind you as A & E had to pull that out of their assess to explain their dumb Hamilton ticket joke which was screwed up their timeline even more..) but, yes, they screwed the whole thing up in trying to build this mythology. I should have learned when I was excited to watch the first days in Storybrooke after the Curse brought everyone here...(I was thinking Regina was going to have BIG 80s hair and shoulder pads..) but that screwed up their mythology...(since Regina could control Graham with his heart in the LWOM, why did she not just tell him to leave Emma alone in S1 why did she have to kill him...) and it was a big damn bore. Only these writers could create situations that other writers would have loved to expand and explore, and make them all, stupid and boring.
  9. What the FREAK was that mess supposed to be? They aren't even trying anymore are they? As has been touched upon here....THOUSANDS of years ago they had blond women in period clothes who spoke perfect "english" and there was make up and hair spray...I really do think the writers are just really stupid and thought that the late 1700s were..."thousands of years ago!" I like the idea that the LWOM had magic but we wisely snuffed it out...I never can get over shows that show evil people using magic and then think that the people who want to take the weapon away are even more EVIL!!! I had actually wanted Camelot to take place in our world and that Merlin banished magic from out world, creating all the magical realms which were just stuck in time. But this makes no sense. I actually like a coven of witches to and for the characters to be stuck with "normal" people but as usual they take a good idea and just screw it over and not even buy it dinner. How did Gothel and her girlfriend never age? I LOL that even this show realizes Henry and J are..."nothing!" The Henry actor has the most simpleton look on his face at all time and I do wish the coven included the Bewitched characters, Endora would appear and call Herny "Dumb-dumb!" Serena would make the moves on Hook and call Henry..."tall, dark and BORING"..Uncle Arthur would appear in an ice bucket at Roni's and make the moves on Hook, Dr. Bombay would chase Regina around the bar, and make the moves on Hook...and Aunt Clara would hopefully screw up a spell that would send us back to Season 1! God at least when they were trying it was more fun to make fun of the crap..but this... Edited to add...my favorite part in this exercise of "just going through the paces until we clean out the studio sets" is when the two skinny witches overpowered Hook, a cop and dragged him against his will out of the room, the other cop didn't even pull a gun to force him.
  10. When I said revenge I meant that Snow would feel a sense of satisfaction about it after the fact...all the horrible things that have happened really got kick started with Cora, and with Regina killing her father, etc, it would be normal and natural though not necessarily pleasant or cartoony for Snow to revel in it for a bit...as in maybe in one scene I would have her say, "Yes Regina, I killed your mother and it felt good, not because I am evil or like killing or get off on it like a loon like you, but it is good to end that monster..and bitch, there is more where that came from!" I actually wanted Snow to take on Regina right after Cora's death when Regina went to that ugly loft but they had that sh*t Rump relunctantly guarding her. I would have loved Snow to have acted all scared and then pull a sword out and pin Regina against the wall....that was the time for them to have it out and kind of come to some conclusion..which would make a natural transition to an "outside" force threatening them all and having them to reluctantly band together.
  11. Yes, why go to the Underworld without bringing anyone back (besides Hook?) The half half thing would have been good, (combining other ideas here) all the villains running rampant in SB and each episode one gets killed...but their magic get absorbed by Cora..who was faking the change of heart all along letting the heroes kill the bad guys. I would have also liked it if Hades was just a puppet for Cora or she tricked him into created Underbrooke to bring Regina and the group there. I always thought Underbrooke was a section of the Underworld Hades created just for the occassion..so its creation somehow screws things up and lets the villains out, like the Phantom Zone in Superman. The Snow/Cora thing was one of the first and only times I liked Snow since S1..she used Regina to stop a villain that needed to be stopped, and got some revenge on R at the same time...win/win...but her wuss of a husband has to be all..."Aww. ya shoulda let her kill us all poopsie!!!" and ruined it.,,well that and the black spot on her heart, which was dumb and turned out to make her cranky for a few scenes. I wish they had used that plot for these dimbulbs from Disney World to figure out that sometimes good people have to use force to stop someone from hurting them and others, and its not bad.
  12. I am totally into the Glinda they portray in that article! SHE would have had no problem with Regina and Rump..."Kill em!" Snow/Charming not only sharing a heart but a brain say: "But HEROES don't kill." Glinda..."I don't give a f*ck...chop her head off and hang in on the clock tower and let me turn that lil sh*t into a bug and I will step on him myself...on no I won't I will get my skirt mussed, one of you idiots do it." Actually, they needed THAT Glinda on the Walking Dead on Sunday..."Im with you Mags...lets get some hungry walkers over here for the early bird special."
  13. Come on..the WW is iconic as hell, I would rank she and Malificent as the true iconic big bads of childhood fairy tale exposure...(the EQ, who I like in all her glam ,slinky evil..doesn't come close...funny that the animated EQ comes off as less campy and more sophisticated then Onces) The WW in the book and the movie is pure evil and as you say, ugly as hell, which Madder can't do to save her life...(lucky her.) The WW should have been played by someone older, more unattractive and more of the school marm gone batshit crazy.. I do think Mader is perfect for what Once has become after S1..she has a twinkle in her eye and actually, of all of the rest of the cast, and the include LP..looks like she is enjoying herself, is in on the joke, and brings us in with her. I would have cast her as someone else, hell, I would have cast her as an actually potent "good" magic user..like Glinda...(she has the movie Glinda's tude..that its all a silly joke and she would treat Parilla's EQ just like Glinda treated the WW in the movie...liking to yank her crank. Mader would have made a hilarious snarky Blue Fairy..."Why werent you there to help us fight Big Bad No 8000?" ..Blue "Darling one does need some me time with wine and Netflix...your daughter's the Savior...let her save someone for once." Hmmm.that's a different movie then I saw..the tornado killed the dumb witch who sat underneath a falling house. If Dot gave back the shoes she would have been in the WW's mercy as Glinda indicated, which in the book meant she was going to be her slave, but in the movie that crazy bitch would definatley have killed her. While I like GM's "Wicked" what he gave to the WW he stole from Glinda, who became an idiot and Dorothy, who was just a big harmless farm girl..and unfortunatley paved the way for "Once" and "Malificent"
  14. This episode proves why Madder, a good actress, makes a rotten WW..she just comes off too nice and warm and charming to be a super villain from our childhood. Again, I wish they had cast her as someone other then the WW..when she puts on that outfit she just looks like the sexy wife down the street at a Halloween party. This Chad guy should have been Regina's boyfriend from the start..so when she wakes up and remembers she was the EQ..and really has a totally different personality..what to do?("Chad do you like skin tight black costumes...or you like your girlfriend to dress like a drag queen...or would you like me in a business suit...because all of those are more me then this bad t-shirt..oh, and Im the EQ and killed a bunch of people.") Make him a cop working the Rump and Hook (I cant even remember their curse names...) and is one of the "normals" who is figuring out something is indeed up. Why set this season in a real town if you are going to have the fairy tale people just deal with each other?
  15. And let's not forget that it was Rumple that saved Emma from that dumb CGI spider thing last season. She went from S2 telling Hook, "I save myself," to S6 being a helpless heroine being attacked by a monster and having a skinny older guy who is evil incarnate himself save her. Damn, I would have loved to see that... I still think Cora outsmarted, out eviled and outclassed the Dark One and she should have been the final Big Bad..not going to Heaven but resurrecting her damn self...(sisters doing it for herself) to become an Evil god in our world by sucking up all the magic when the realms died...(did anyone ever give three craps about the Black Fairy..even her name was stupid..now Cora doesn't need to announce her darkness, she just is) Though I would have wanted Cora to start by killing the EQ AND Rump a dump to suck up their power...(I just want a pig like Rump to killed by a woman, be it good or evil.) Seeing full on Sparkle Dark to get killed in the Main Showdown Street in SB would have been great..
  16. I wouldn't exactly call Storybrooke..normal...and a gal like Zelena who was used to hanging out in the cool art deco Emerald City, ( as opposed to the rest of those stiffs in SB who are used to the Enchanted Forest, which consisted of a village with peasants..a forest..and few castles ) would get mighty bored of living in a small town with her bossy, grumpy sister, one diner/bar, and dinner parties thrown by the Charmings (which would make you gouge your eyes out) and no fabulous gay friends to trade snark with ( the drawfs don't count, they are WORSE then even Muchkins..) ,,San Francisco looks just fine!
  17. I wish they had the Black Fairy cast the curse a few episodes earlier so we could have it play out more. Why send the Charmings and Regina back with their memories? Why leave Henry with his? What a half ass curse for a series "finale" I would have had sent the Charmings and Regina back with they and everyone else thinking she had failed the first curse...( I have no idea what to do with that dumb baby they saddled the Charmings with but I will, like the writers ignore inconvenient plot points..)so they were still enemies. So they would be busy trying to kill (and of course, failing) each other and not even remember SB ,etc so the BF could think they were properly taken care of and not going to be a bother to her. That would last an episode where we could finally get some resolution from Snow and Regina and why they cant kill each other and let Snow give Regina hell and for Regina to realize, on her own as the EQ..the sh*t she was pulling was all because of her mother and no one else and to stop...its Regina's owning up to her own faults that breaks their part of the memory curse and then they work on trying to get back to SB. Of course in my version it would not be Emma but Henry who was in the nuthouse...(I know they couldn't do that with their extra special precious Henry) and have Emma back in Boston..No one in with any kind of sense would create a curse where Henry was their kid!!! I would have had both Blue and Rump conspire together not to loose their memories and both of them to take Blackie down. Well, at least Regina isnt the realms worst curse caster anymore.
  18. She casually strolled into Knifington Palace with Jeffie's hat and a couple of Munchkins..so somehow she got zapped to Oz, apologized to everyone, saw the destruction, got Jeffie's hat, grabbed some Munchkins and head to the EF.
  19. As much as I liked Wicked the book and the play...(the play a bit more as Glinda became more like the Buam's Glinda at the end...and the book just had her be a silly shallow girl..) I HATE that they...as you day woofify a bad ass like the WW...its like the movie "Maleficent" you have a great actress to play her and she just misunderstood. As people have said a hundred times..you can give a villain solid motives without wussing them out. I didnt notice the night scenes in Oz until you mentioned it...I know CGI is easier to disquise on a dark background and maybe it was to make the Emerald City look brighter in contrast? All I can think about is in last season's finale how did Zelena manage to get sent back to Oz...see the destruction, find the hat to get back to the EF and apparently make friends with the Munchkins when the Charmings and Regina barely woke up...the WW friends with Munchkins!!?!?!?
  20. I too wish they had used the source material more and used that as a jumping off point instead of what is the most "Disneyfied" and watered down version for the viewing audience. I was so excited ( yes, I am a dork) when the Wicked Witch was going to be a big bad. But they screwed it all up from the start using a mishmash of Baum, MGM and Wicked and that stupid Oz Great and Powerful.. OZ itself with its hundreds of books has the best universe already built with tons of characters to use...( for children's books they have more magical rules and consistency then Once could ever dream of..) Glinda is a nobody overpowered by Zelena and apparently trapped in a Winter World??? Dorothy is not the brave, smart girl who takes on witches and Gnome Kings but...just a girl who is tricked into giving up her power and later, as a supposed "Warrior" ineffectual as every other good character on this show. Not everyone had to be related or have a connection in the past..it just makes everything chaotic and they have to break their own rules to make it work. I like Zelena, but she is not the WW..no matter how often someone refers her to that and they dress her up. Why couldn't Zelena just have her own story and not try to shove her into the a costume and name. She could have had the same history, she was just Cora's abandoned daughter who held a grudge. They could have used the WW in her own arc.. no sob story, she is just an bad ass witch...who was defeated by Dorothy but the bucket of water was the magic well water which transported her to the EF.. which without Rump, Cora or Regina had a power vacuum and she took over, taking Zelena under her wing , etc. Why did that goofy Frozen girl have to teach Charming how to fence, etc. One thing I do like about this season is that the CInderella story is not the Disney version...despite the bad casting it has a little more meat and angst then the one told before..
  21. Lol..Tremaine would make a perfect...Ms..Whatsherface, that kept calling Regina in S1 complaining about things.. Maleficent is one of this shows biggest failures...She is the BIG BAD in the Disney cannon who makes the EQ look like a wannabe. So..I think that was one point against her. Another point was the shows reliance on stunt casting..so the actress, who was tied up with her other show, couldn't make regular appearances. It would have been SO much better if they had everyone but a few, transported to Storybrooke, so they didn't have to have the lame..."So and so found a bean" that made Rumple look like an idiot. I..as I said a million times, would have also not made their silly magic so easy to come by..so Rumple Regina and the Fairies have the majority of magic..and the rest of the villains would have to lay in wait to get enough magic to pose a threat. Say Charmings dad and other royalty were sick of both the Charmings and Regina, AND living in a democracy and wanted power, so they steal magic to raise Maleficent to take them all on. I know A & E REALLY wanted to dump SB and do magic land hopping but I though the most interesting part of the show were these people stuck in a small town in our world. Cruella, well it was stupid to make her a big bad, with magic. and kill her off...she is a great supporting antagonist who should be used as comic support...drunkingly swaggering down main street, coming on to Charming and insulting Rumple( I LOVE that she was one of the few characters who was not afraid of him and openly insulted him...) We should have seen more of that, like Little Bo Beep as a mob mama..that was one of the few times the show lived up to its crazy ass potential.
  22. Really stupid...(plus..where did she go the the bathroom...all these goofy kidnap story lines on fantasy shows and soaps just make me think where the hell are they doing their business and are they getting clean underwear...) The urban setting is there, why didn't they just make Gothal a homeless woman walking around muttering...(of course she would only be acting, she would go back to a clean studio apartment like Jadis on Walking Dead.) I do have to say, everyone dumps on the Cinderella actress and yes, I agree she is terrible, but I think people give the Henry actor a pass when they shouldn't. His acting in the last episode was cringe worthy and he has no chemistry with any actor, from Rogers, to Nick to even Regina. When he is supposed to show love he looks like a dork (okay, maybe he is in character there..) I just think the only thing this guy should be playing is a snarky, creepy millennial cannibal.
  23. That would have been great...and it was at the exact time the show needed a reboot too...flashbacks between the urban cursed people and the lost year in the EF...(which I would have focused more on Regina and Snow and how they got along in their old haunts...THAT would have been the perfect time to get a redeemed Regina as she struggles with being back in the EQ lands and her dark side..Zelena egging her on to be her old self (knowing it would seperate her from the gang and make her weaker and easier to trap and kill, etc. ) But it would break from their tired formula and also be more expensive to film in a urban area. It also wouldn't work on Sunday nights as I would want to make it more edgier then they were willing to do.
  24. If that had been the main thrust of the season, I would have been on board. It would have also made Drizella more of a sympathetic character when after the curse was cast, she was freaked out about it but had to stay "in the closet" as no one would believe her...plus being in land without magic there was no turning back..or so she would think. (actually, for once I would like to see someone cast the curse just so they could pee inside and take a hot shower...and I would love someone say, "screw airyfairyland I actually did everyone a favor." ) They could tie the parent child drama to Hook and Alice, and Regina and Henry and make them more interesting... I would have had the reason Henry left SB was to get away from Regina. As an older teen he would quit seeing things in such a black and white way really see the destruction she wrought and find its not okay that she is now a "hero" the pain she inflicted still lingers in SB and he is sick of turning around and someone else saying.."Oh, yea, your mother killed my son, and while those two idiots love her, I don't" That motive would have made sense and make Henry not seem such a narcisstic dimwit as he does now. Regina desperate to make ammends goes realm hopping to find him, etc. Just as the two make up in the EF, Drizella casts the curse which would make Henry hate Roni and while its painful for Regina she cant break the curse or he dies. So the overall theme would be parents and children seperated either by anger, not knowing or magic, which would give a tie in to S1 with Emma and the Charmings.
  25. But oddly, I just can't wait to yell at the TV and make fun of this sh*t one last time...it might even make me sentimental!
