Hey! What's with all the Dmitri hate? I think he is smoldering and a good actor. He has a lot going on underneath. He's clearly attracted to Stevie and vice versa. I'm all for seeing where this goes! Of course the British boyfriend is the better choice, but the passion with Dmitri will be something unlike anything Stevie has experienced so far, I'm predicting.

Yes, I am a hetero female. I assume the writer who disliked the Carne bros. was a hetero male. If he was a homo male, he would like them. I just calls it as I sees it.

I don't know why Geoffrey Charles was so concerned with baby Valentine's coloring. I mean, his mother has dark hair, blue eyes and light skin just like Valentine's. Why would he not think it would be normal for the boy to look like his mother? Clearly, they are trying to cast suspicion, but the child would have to be olive complected, dark eyed, very dark haired and curly headed to make that argument. Re George's expression after he passed his judgments: The initial pride and superiority he felt as the new magistrate was diminished when he unexpectedly experienced the large group of angry and horrified victims of his brand of justice. I think he brushed off that brief moment of empathy or guilt at least publicly, and would never admit to it.

I know that a lot of people in LA use Uber to get places as the parking issues are unbelievably bad and when you don't have to drive, you don't. Also, most places charge you to park in front of their business, so it would have been cheaper and quicker than trying to drive around and around looking for a non-existent parking space at night in the dark and then paying a parking fee.

Hey! Don't you hurt our Dimitri! I like seeing Dimitri again! He looked especially yummy with his longer hair. And really, why rule out a romance with Stevie? He'd probably teach her a few things about life that her privilege has prevented her from knowing about. I see fireworks there, potentially. But seriously, The actor has a lot of emotional depth in his characterization and I think he adds some real, believable angst to the part. What I don't understand is this: He fell down immediately after he drank the water at the table. Didn't anyone suspect that water? How else could he have been poisoned? Bess didn't drink the water with him, so was it implied it was from that?

Question: At the end where the team member Amir rides a motorcycle to a house and runs in and places a leather satchel at the foot of the bed in one of the bedrooms and makes eye contact with the bad guy with the gold necklace before driving off. What was in the satchel? How did the satchel tell the bad guy that his other partner was in cahoots with the robbery guys? Was it the same bag that had all the cash, but now was empty? And how is it that Amir can just walk in and the house is unlocked and no one sees him?

Regarding the brainy nerd typecasting for the character 'Noah', I think the actor would have to be an idiot to turn down any job with a major network until he is a very big star. Everyone has to pay the bills. Also, I think he just looks like that in real life, so why not capitalize on it? The actor will have to start lifting weights or do something like bleach his hair or grow a beard to change up his looks when he's ready to play a different role.

Hey! Who doesn't like a dog side-kick? Gotta love the dog. Add me to the NOPE on the potential romance for Dalton and Jaz. I don't want to see it. They need to be fellow soldiers. That is exactly why people say women can't be soldiers alongside the men because of the sexual tension. Turn this into a brother/sister relationship if you must, but nothing more!

Well, it's not surprising we are finding some borrowed storylines, considering Ken Olin and Timothy Busfield were actors on 'ThirtySomething' and are now Directors on This Is Us. Yup. Bordering on slapstick if it wasn't so serious. Just incredible selfishness and narcissism all around. You and hundreds more of us felt the same way. Littlest Kate was tolerable, but teenage Kate was a big NOPE for me. NOPE, NOPE, NOPE. It looked like she was going in for a sexy kiss, there for a sec. I'm pretty sure this is a parody of BABY DADDY. You've got two handsome guys who play brothers on that, and the taller, older one who happens to be very buff is always walking around without his shirt on to the constant swoons of the live audience. (I watched a live taping of that show and the actors were all adorable. The guys were really handsome in person, too!)

No, you are not. Why is Beth written to always look ticked off? No matter what, she looks put out, angry, resentful. She rarely shows any kind of happiness or exuberance. It makes it hard to sympathize with her even when she is justified with her feelings. We need to see a balance instead of this always simmering-below-the-surface/my life sucks even though I live in a gorgeous home and have excessive income and a handsome husband and darling daughters and fulfilling job/ wife. I worry if they bring an older, troubled and unrelated boy into this home with the two younger daughters, it could cause all kinds of bad outcomes. It'd be funny if they end up bringing home another girl, maybe a white child or a set of twins. Rebecca looked like it was a regular day, driving home. Jack is still alive and she's just heading home. Then, she sees the house has burned down. She didn't know about it until then, otherwise why was she coming home? Also, the plastic stuff in the car might have been her picking up some stuff that was left at the office by Jack, or maybe it was because he was at a treatment center or something. Essentially, I think the house had just burned down and no one had been able to reach her to tell her yet. Huh. That's interesting. OK. Thanks. I thought the same as you. This is what she should have done, but didn't. This would have changed everything. Or, this is what they want us to think! Or, did they change their mind and reshoot the scene because they were not sure where the plot was going at that point in shooting? Who knows! Quite puzzling why she was being so overtly passive-aggressive at the adoption agency. Was she purposely trying to sabotage their interview? Otherwise, who would approve the adoption when one parent was clearly not on board? No one. If she felt this strongly about it, she of course would have had this conversation with Randall before even going. Why are they writing her with all of this repressed anger? She has just become a Debbie Downer. Don't bring another child into this household before you fix things, Beth and Randall.

I will bet money that 'Cody' is actually a female to male transgender going through the transition. I noticed it immediately. Cody has no Adam's apple, small breasts, feminine face, slight hint of facial hair. Comically, they kept showing him over and over in the previews and rehashes. I figure the editing people were having fun with it. Anyone else notice this? Totally agree about the name. Windward is an excellent name. Shame they didn't go with Windward/82 and use W/82 in their stamped logos or something. Windward conjures up the sea, the beach and sailing. Like another poster said, W82 sounds too much like WD40 lubricating machine oil. Marcus, Marcus, Marcus. Fix this!

Flip or Flop Las Vegas - General Discussion

That house on 10182 Tree Creek Street is atrocious. I really don't want to believe this is their work. It is way beyond their glitz and sparkle. Whomever did this one, didn't make much on it considering carrying costs, commissions, closing costs and of course the 'improvements'. Wow. I'm shocked anyone would buy it. Lordy! Some agent in the LV real estate market can look this up and see who the buyers/sellers were of this property and confirm whether this is one of theirs. Anyone? -
S07.E07: The Dragon And The Wolf
Casually Observant replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Game Of Thrones
Well, I disagree. Awesome story telling, cinematography, CGI and acting were had this season just like previous seasons. Some of the episodes were so compelling (to me) that I shouted at the TV, cried in misery to what I had just watched and in one, had to pause the episode due to the tension on screen and go do something else for about 15 minutes while taking deep breaths so I could steel myself before I could conjure the courage to go back and watch the conclusion. I think that you could be right on some points, but overall it has been exemplary and I have no complaints - except I wanted more episodes and longer episodes! I will sorely miss this show when it finishes after next season. I'm sure there are many more like me out there. -

S07.E07: The Dragon And The Wolf
Casually Observant replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Game Of Thrones
After seeing the wight in action and asking about their swimming abilities, I believe Euron did actually decide to leave for the Iron Islands. He's always been in it strictly for himself. Cersei looked put out and annoyed by his earlier grandstanding and intimidation attempts toward Tyrion and also his statement about leaving and taking his toys home. I think Cersei's comments to Jaime that Euron's actions were all a pre-planned fake-out and that 'No one walks away from me!' was a lie. In my opinion, the flying dead dragon Viserion is spewing blue flame, the hottest flame there is. Otherwise, how could it have cut through the thick, centuries old ice wall like it was butter? -

If I remember correctly, Yara recognized him as her brother, but he did not recognize her as his sister. She egged him on sexually for fun, then surprised him with the fact that she was his sister to humiliate him. -

Of course Tyrion is in love with Dany. I believe he said so in a conversation to someone else last season. Something to the effect that "she's beautiful, she's brilliant, she's good and she flies on a dragon. Who wouldn't fall in love with her?" (Someone will be able to find the exact quote, I'm sure.) No, Theon wasn't fighting Euron on the beach. Theon was fighting one of the men on the boat that grabbed him up out of the sea when he was half drowned. The man and his merry group were what was left of Yara's group of supporters, I think. -

Dear Aiming for Yoko - I just realized what your name means after puzzling over your avatar and realizing the photo looked familiar. Hahaha! Very clever. I totally buy it. Thanks! -
I also knew immediately when the NK looked at the dragon and then turned to grab his spear what was about to happen. I too, shouted "NOOO!" and had to stop the DVR and literally run into another room and lay down with my hands on my face. I am a very big animal lover and cannot take this stress. It was a good 15 minutes before I could go back and watch the rest. So sad, so awful. Aaagh. Tyrion is very smart and works with a methodical, intelligent and diplomatic thought process. I think that he forgets that Cersei is insane and does not follow normal protocol and has no moral compass and that is why she is outthinking him. In addition, we have Euron who is also mentally bent and so again, Tyrion being a normal person is unable to foretell what crazy behavior might manifest, although he is trying. I do not, DO NOT believe he is a double agent. In fact, when Dany was going to mount her dragon and leave to save Jon, he implored her to stay, saying that she was too important and the world needed her. I think he feels exactly that way about her. Re Arya: I think Arya is consumed with anger and hate for those who betrayed her family and dedicated to avenge their deaths. She is deeply suspicious that her older sister may have been complicit in her father's death. Until she gets over that impression, she will continue to be mistrusting. I do not think they are putting on an act for Littlefinger just yet. Well, it would make sense that the NK will come flying in on the ice dragon. He controls all the dead, right? So, of course he will. Or, she was handing her the knife to say, why don't you take off your face for me??

He was considered quite tall at between 6'2 - 6'4 inches tall. But you see, he was the handsomest man in the kingdom in the beginning, having been named king at age 18 years of age! And his codpiece was very large for a very good reason. Back in 1984, we went to London and saw the original armor of King Henry VIII. Numerous pieces were on display. At first he was very well built and slim. Then he grew larger and larger. His codpiece grew larger as his body did. It was huge towards then end, and it was explained that he had contracted a venereal disease and his well-hung male parts were swollen badly and the codpiece had to be made so as to not touch or bother them. He also suffered from leg ulcers of the thigh. Below is an excerpt from the JRSM (Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine) regarding King Henry VIII: "He was physically fit, described by Giustinian, the Venetian Ambassador to the English Court as: ‘… the handsomest potentate I ever set eyes on; above the usual height, with an extremely fine calf to his leg, his complexion very fair and bright with auburn hair combed straight and short in the French fashion, and a round face so very beautiful that it would become a pretty woman, his throat being rather long and thick’.7 Henry's prowess at jousting, tilting, hunting and tennis was legendary: ‘not only very expert in arms, and of great valour, and most excellent in his personal endowments, but … likewise so gifted and adorned with mental accomplishments of every sort that we believe him to have few equals in the world’. However, his propensity for vigorous sport led to a variety of injuries of varying severity. A bon-viveur renowned for his appetite, Henry's weight gradually increased despite his early athleticism. His expanding girth is easily pictured by comparison between his personal suits of armour. Henry was tall at over six feet, and in his 20s weighed about 15 stone (210 lbs.) with a 32″ waist and 39″ chest but by his 50s his waist had increased to 52″ and, by the time of his death in 1547 at the age of 56 years, he is thought to have weighed about 28 stone (392 lbs.)." Perhaps his early injuries, his distress over not having heirs born to him quickly, and his contracted STD contributed to his immense weight gain, and subsequent spiral into a miserable and punitive human being.

I had that same question - was that Samwell's dad getting burned up or some other poor soul? I wondered about when Jaime told Bronn to activate the Scorpion and Bronn responded with, "You do it!" Was Bronn reluctant to use such a thing on the magnificent dragon or did he think that Jaime should get the accolades if he killed the dragon, or was he just afraid of getting killed or incinerated on the way to the wagon with the device? What do you guys think? But it was true that Jaime could not have done it with only one good hand. The difference in my mind is that Jaime and Cersei grew up together as siblings. Jon and Dany have no such relationship or years growing up together. They also do not know that they are related. They are also cousins, not aunt/nephew, nor sister/brother. So, it is not as close of a blood tie, but still a little too close.

“I really thought Dany was going to propose to Jon in the dragon glass cave.” Me, too. Based on the way he was looking at her and she at him, I was certain Dany was about to say: "Take me. Take me now!" Which I shouted at the TV much to the annoyance of my husband. .... “OMG, that was fucking fantastic. Where to begin? I am so glad that I restrained myself and waited to watch the episode in HD. That has got to be best battle scene on tv evah! Drogon was amazing, the sounds, the CGI.“ This was so epic. When Drogon came flying in, I literally started crying. The CGI is so realistic and the dragon flies so beautifully and so purposefully and aggressively that it just makes me awestruck. Also, that marvelously sad and emotive music they play whenever the dragons are in the scene always tears me up. You have to give Jamie and Bronn credit. Those two actors sure look like excellent horsemen in real life. Jamie always looks so confidently masculine with his good posture and great haircut. Damn him. How can he be both handsome and good, while also being bad? Those awesome Dothraki warriors swinging their legs up to stand in a crouch while continuing to gallop at full speed, and doing it in sync while riding and shooting arrows - man, that was impressive. Unfortunately, it made them easier targets to receive an arrow in the chest by Jamie's archers. : ( The special effects were extremely well done. Several times we saw the freshly incinerated bodies literally turning into charred crisps, then blow away! The scenes were so realistic I was constantly stressed about the poor horses and what they had to have gone through during the filming. Just so well done, all of it! …. “What vibe was Sansa giving off when she was watching Arya and Brienne spar? It almost felt like ‘don’t take my friend Brienne.’ It was weird.” Yes. I was not certain the exact reason why she seemed distressed and needed to exit the area quickly. Was it because she realized her sister and her brother are nothing like they were? That everyone is so bent and damaged now, only a shadow of their original self. And maybe Arya's crazy, wicked skills were simply too much to process along with everything else. .... “I doubt Jamie is dead. But he'll have to lose his gold hand and slip out of the armor.” Yes! I was wondering to myself, 'Why is he just staring like that and sinking so fast? He's not even trying to swim or anything. But then, uh oh. 50+ lbs. of armor and a 30 lb. gold hand is the reason. If not, he looks to have completely given up. Bye bye Jaime! …. “Holy shit. Be afraid, Littlefinger. Be very afraid.” I had to watch his scenes twice to be sure of what his expressions were displaying, once with the sound on, once without. With Bran and the 'Chaos is a ladder', you see he is startled by the comment and concerned but quickly corrects his expression and leaves the room. Then with the Aryan/Brienne fight scene, he is really trying to put on a pleased, approving expression, but is clearly saying, 'Oh crap.' And then the way Arya just held his gaze afterwards with no expression on her face, he had to also excuse himself as he was rightly disturbed. .... Arya’s sparring session with Brienne was outstanding and entertaining as hell. Boy, is Jon going to bet impressed and shocked by her transformation. I thought Brienne's facial expressions were very well acted. First she was humoring Arya, then when Arya got the better of her she was taken aback, then she was really going for it, and became frightened in the shockingly brilliant way Arya battled her. Good job. ….
