  1. Thanks to the writers for answering us the two basic questions about Matty's new identity. Now, they need to answer us what the actual frak is that floor with the cell-offices locking from outside? The firm's little private Guantanamo? Is there anything legal about this? I found Olympia's actions not really believable. Locking someone inside an office and not calling the police? Wth? Con woman or not, what if the 76years old lady had a health scare locked inside that room? I also did not like that she seemed to believe Matty in just a few hours. I would prefer if it would take Olympia a few more days of research to believe Mattie and trust her again. Although I am also really curious about Olympia meeting Matty's family. As someone already posted here, maybe real Matty is quite scarier! I dunno if Julian is the opioids guilty one. I just hope by the end of the season/series/his presence in the show he will be having a new hairstyle. It is so bad! So bad!
  2. Indeed. And the guy who was throwing grenades all over the place even more ridiculous. But hey, just two episodes ago we had a staged bus hijack only to steal data from some government employee. It seems LA criminals really like to complicate things. I did had a good laugh with the adoption lady interviewing the "Nolans". It was like if the writers where roasting their own stories. Especially when she asked if there were workdays those two didn't almost die, Bailey's expression was so funny. Can we have Bailey do comedy instead of silly James Bond stuff? I will even start to like her! Texas Rookie is getting less and less annoying. Now if he stops those "Texas Phrases" he seems to have for every occasion I might even like him as well! And we go to the thing that really frustrates me: those serial killers that NEVER go away. We all realize the last guy will torment more our heroes, right? I prefer the red hair lawyer or even Elijah than the omnipotent serial killers. I could even tolerate that idiot brother of Nolan's. Or more heroics from Bailey.
  3. Well the show's premise is basically science fiction. Today TV writers do not care for realism, just to create drama. It is not about tolerating some suspension of disbelief anymore, you have to deny reality! Not only by wondering how on earth Matty was hired with a fake identity in such a big firm, but also how she manages to cope with this load of work at her age. Not to mention the complications on cases (past and current) if her real identity is revealed. Or how they involved a minor into an illegal revenge campaign*. This "fantasy world" hurts the show, cause it is supposed to be a serious drama. *Will the grandson have any legal issues cause he helped with various law violations?
  4. Writing this season is not good... Why FBI searched Joe's house? I get why the agent did it, to intimidate his wife, but on what grounds they had a warrant for the house? Vines died in the desert from exposure. So there is no murder weapon or documents about it. I doubt if even the car can be used as evident. Except if the soil is very rare and specific at the place Vines was found. Although can they know where Joe left him alive? Anyway the whole FBI agent thing is stupid and unnecessary. Joe and his wife could have reached the same point of argument without an investigation over their heads. Plus I love the actor, but geez he looks SO MUCH guilty every time the FBI lady is around. Also Bernie investigating in Mexico was ridiculous. It was so obvious the bad guys would see a reflection from the camera or the binoculars or whatever. It is not that you have many places to get cover in a landscape like this. She is very careless and stupid. I just realized "Shorty" is quite a tall dude!
  5. I remember reading it somewhere, but you are right, Netflix hasn't officially renew it..
  6. She is quite good! Make it so please! I did not expect to like this episode, but I did. Tess actress, Paige Herschell, is really good. Is Carisi the most stylish man of the Franchise? I vote yes! Those suits fit him so nicely! His character has been quite a win for the show's writers. They got it quite soon that the character and the actor could do better as DA and it worked just fine. We have to give them this, they do not enjoy many writing wins :D
  7. Was I the only one distracted by Mary Louise Parker 's (new?) face?
  8. This episode was SO frustrating... So much stupidity... the writers, the characters, the show... Geez...
  9. There is something not going right with this season. I know, right? And Leaphorn is shown super competent, like when he found the drugs-farmer, but at the same time very stupid. The bad guys have Bernie's official photo, which means they are very well connected and powerful, but neither Joe or anyone else, think that the same people would want the prisoner dead and the police station needs more protection. And he goes to replace a fuse leaving him alone... I mean really??? Dumb writing. I dunno if Joe killing Vines was in the books, but this plot is not good and it is repetitive and doesn't seem to go anywhere till now. It is like a waste of time.
  10. We will! It has been renewed. Curious to see how they gonna handle it. EDITED TO ADD (April 6th) : Sorry for the misinformation, I did read somewhere it has been renewed but officially it hasn't (yet?)..
  11. So...you want to take that government guy's card... and the simplest way is to orchestrate a whole "highjack a bus" operation where a bazillion of things could go wrong? Instead of ... I dunno hire some competent hacker or something. Lol! And yes, Monica has started to annoy me more than Elijah.. although I have to admit she dresses much better. And Bailey Bond has become simply ridiculous. Otherwise, this could had been a decent episode, well for the recent Rookie's standards, that is. EDITED: to add one of the funniest things I read on Reddit for this show:
  12. Interesting case and debate but poor execution. I am sick and tired almost all judges act just to accommodate the writers' needs. It has become ridiculous and frustrating. I think the most possible outcome should be a hung jury, exactly because the health insurance topic is very divisive. Legally, what the guy did was a crime. But public opinion is a part of justice, right?
  13. Maybe the Rancher boss just allows things to happen so he won't get into to trouble or exchanges services with the bad guys. I have the feeling Manualito's boss is shady. That Budge dude is much scarier than the idiotic psycho from last season.
  14. Absolutely satisfying end. The murderer was the worst person of all and I am glad Cordelia got her. Every actor was great, but Giancarlo Esposito was amazing. Dedicated to Andre Braugher, who was supposed to play Wynter, but.... :( Overall a very entertaining series. Very well acted, directed and written. Maybe 1 episode too long, but still I was never bored. Series MPV: I am between the calligrapher who had lost his mojo and Patrick Doumbe's crazy eyes! I wouldn't mind to see Cordelia Cap in our screens again. Make it happen please!
  15. And we learned why the president tolerates the blonde idiot and her "renovations", she is the daughter of a very rich man.. She probably hasn't even noticed!
  16. Omg, so far it is so funny! so funny! There are so many moments I LOLed. Everything is perfect. The cast is great, even the extras and the very small parts are great. The script is witty, directing and editing are also great. I just hope it will continue this well. MVP of the episode, the calligrapher, with runner up Kylie.
  17. Zuzu (really???) asking him if Bailey liked her watch.
  18. Zuzu? really? what kind of name is this? Zuzu could be the name of a small dog. Or the name of a Moulin Rouge dancer. Not the name of evil "AI". Zuzu? I mean.. common! So the liar has gone? that was a bit dull. I don't think he is a villain, probably does something in parallel that he can't talk about. Nah, who I am trying to kid, of course he can be a serial killer. Or Zuzu. Oh and I can't say I like the songwriter dude.. boring.
  19. Lack of realism and suspend of disbelief is getting bigger and bigger every TV season for most of the shows. I has become quite frustrating.
  20. Maybe the Evil Judge is also one of the Psychic's clients so she knows things. So the new officer is "they". Am I the only one totally confused by the recent use of "they" on TV? I have a close friend who is non binary, but nothing is confusing cause when we talk in person I call them by name. On Tv though, It takes me a while (if not at all, lol) to realize if the mention of "they" refers to a person or many.
  21. They must know because the EMP happened as they were trying to approach the bunker/Paradise city. I think this whole EMP thingy is a big plot hole anyway. Like since every electronic circuit got fried how X's wife managed to send messages? The suspend disbelief pool is getting quite full and I am afraid about how worse it can go in season 2 where we will probably follow Xavier in a post apocalyptic world.
  22. Even If I wish they tone down the endless personal drama of our heroes, this was actually a good episode and the whole season so far has been quite tolerable (if you do not mind for the usual lack or realism). It is really nice that Celina is such an enjoyable character now. I remember how much annoying she was at the beginning even if I like the actress. Kudos to the writers. So is Vivian the main villain of the season? She is the usual nasty DA caricature , so very annoying.
  23. Omg it was Redford!!! I wasn't sure!
  24. Not quite sure yet what are they setting as this season's arc(s), but I really like this show, the acting, the directing, the mood. Welcome back Dark Winds!
