  1. In Master Plan, it was made to appear that Angela went to Europe and never talked to anyone again. Like, she never even called to say "Hey, the plane didn't crash and I made it safely." The friendship with Topanga seemed like a dropped plot line as well...which is even more crazy because how does she know they all live in NY now?

  2. Popping in from another board. :)

My only issue with how Angela is being handled is the revisionist history. Kinda seems like the writers are vilifying Angela to prop Katy. Since its a new generation and Maya is a main character, its clear they are moving forward with S&K which is fine but dont change cannon or have your character act ooc to prop another relationship.

  3. Bleh. The profiles don't list the girls' accolades. It was a good source of information for the viewer especially since GL, show group, etc isnt always pointed out on the show. Maybe the stand alone, decked out site was too costly and time consuming for the ROI.

  4. This super detailed history of who roomed with whom and when makes me understand why they dropped using last names. I know if you put something on social media, someone will piece it together, but there's a fine line between Superfans (what I see here) and scary stalkers.

They dropped last names as per the new NFL rule. The living together/apartment segments are on the show. Super detailed? Or just remebering what was put out there for us to know? Maybe the show should stick to rehearsals and performances?

Hope this doesn't sound snotty..im writing on the fly. Overall, the girls are more protected than a lot of ppl on reality tv.

  5. Remember when Jenn Alexis and Kim lived together and the quack nutritionist raided their fridge? Jasmine lived with Danielle too and  Paige lived with Jinelle. Then Paige and Danielle live together. Veronica lived with Mackenzie. Nice to know the girls can change living arrangements without losing their close friendships. I know after I lived my best friends for a year right after undergrad, we all hated each other by the end and no longer talk to each other.

  6. ROTY and VOTY are elected, not appointed honors.

I know nothing about the rookies but based only on the show, I like Erica for Rookie.

Veteran - Holly? She had a rough go of it but still stands tall. You know I think Jacie should get everything so I'm throwing her name out there too.

  7. Has Nicole ever been point girl? Surprised Holly is when there is more seniority above her.

Yes, Nicole is the point of group 2. Seen here:

Re: full squad performances. While seniority does play a part in the formations, the center girl is usually the best dancer in TPTB's minds. Nicole H became point her second year on the team. Evan Anderson was dancing next to Crystal at the top of the triangle in year two. Crystal became point year 3. Whitney was point starting year 4 while Allie (5th year at the time) was somewhere in the second or third line.

  8. I concur with bigskygirl. DCC is the furthest thing from promoting positive/healthy body images nor should they be any standard for body image. Amy C. is a good example and there are others. Necessary evils for DCC should not be applied broadly and are very damaging. Going a bit further, Ashley just seems very sensitive in general which is not a bad thing but more so strange because she signed up to be a public figure..the show /social media presence was established well before MTT7. Also when you are known for superficial things (looks, sexy power dancing, bikini calendars), I dont see the justification for getting upset when someone comments on your looks?  I would be more upset (and grossed out) about the men who comment about using the girls' pics for sexual reasons.

  9. Holly, Brittney, Emma, and Kelsey are at the game today. Not on the team but Jenn K's husband and Cassie are there as well. Some of the girls must be well off. Tickets, hotel, and flights ain't cheap. (And a part-time job that the girls allegedly have is not going to cover costs). Nice to see some DCC support in WI. Watching MTT has made me a DC fan so I can only imagine the level of fandom actual being on the team creates.

I think the Super bowl buzz has overshadowed Pro Bowl. Does anyone know if Nicole is practicing or prepping? All seems quiet in light of the playoffs.

  10. Seahawks won tonight, meaning the Cowboys will def. not have any more home games this season. Also, a few girls posted on social media about going to Wisconsin. Didn't seem like an official "DCC" trip but more of a social thing.

  11. Def agree the NFL wouldn't permit extra girls. Allegedly, Jerry Jones and co. wanted DCC to perform during Super Bowl 2011 (held at ATT Stadium and had no cheerleaders for either team) and was denied. Not sure how true that is but as the host stadium the girls did perform outside prior to kick off. In general,  I wouldn't say cheerleaders are the NFL's #1 priority.

  12. If 32 is the maximum as per the NFL, one would think the teams would limit their squads to 32 but c'est la vie! I hope they take as many as possible. I can see Show Group (including alternates) plus retirees maybe. My favorites are clear staff favorites so I know they'll be there.  I can also see the big media appearances (TV, radio) being reserved for Show Group just due to their experience (this ain't a Dunkin Donuts opening lol). I feel silly talking about it because this is really cart before the horse but I hope they make it!

  13. There is a limit of maybe 36 or 40 cheerleaders that each team can bring (not sure what the number is) so all of the DCC could go, I think.  The Ravens have a dance cheer squad (like the DCC) but then they also have a stunt squad, too (with male and female cheerleaders like college).  So I think they have way more than 36 or 40 cheerleaders in total because they really have two squads almost. That is why they couldn't take all of their cheerleaders, IIRC.

You're right. Ravens have a huge squad. Did some digging and the limit is 32! Awkward for DCC.

I cant even think about Super Bowl right now, the Cowboys are playing a really good (undefeated in their home stadium) team on Sunday. Cowboys are undefeated with away games this year but someone's record has to break this Sunday. And if they advance, their next likely opponent would be the reigning Super Bowl champs. It's still a long road to the big game.

  14. Yay another football girl who understands how it all works :) No way are the Cowboys getting a home game. Sunday was it and the game was awesome.

I'm trying to imagine the look on Charlotte's face if they tried to tell her they stopped practicing because this is as far as the Cowboys are going! They actually could still have one more home game (if Carolina beats the Seahawks, which is a VERY long shot, and the Cowboys beat the Packers the Cowboys have the better record).

Also, according to a complaint by a Ravens cheerleader, the whole squad does not get to attend Superbowl. Guess it would be show group (and maybe Angela and Nicole) for DCC.http://bloguin.com/thisgivensunday/2013-articles/retiring-ravens-cheerleader-not-allowed-to-go-to-the-super-bowl.html
