I thought Erika looked prettier when she was younger. She seemed more fresh faced and real.

But I felt like Andy set that up for her. Clearly she and Garcelle can't stand each other, but Dorit's been pissed at Kyle lately. She thought they were closer friends and Kyle's acting like they were only work friends this whole time. Plus Dorit's facial expressions while Kyle spoke during this Reunion were a giveaway to me. That's not including the Kyle IG DM stuff Dorit shared in her Stories.

Absolutely. Dorit's comment wasn't directed at Garcelle, but rather at Kyle. Her pause gave that away. Plus Andy brought up Garcelle's name not Dorit.

I know some people are very close to their families, but this family's dynamic is so incredibly toxic. They act like, and speak as if, they're super close and their mom always wanted them to prioritize one another over everyone else, but there's a lot of deep-seated anger and resentment under each of their surfaces. I'd rather create a wholesome family dynamic with chosen friends than waste all my time peacocking toward shitty family members just because we share DNA. It's like, cut the cord already.

As I had mentioned in another thread earlier in the week (or last?), Kathy was brought in to go after Sutton for her comments this season. I was surprised that Kathy admitted that, on camera, because it makes her look bad. I'm not sure if Kyle brought Kathy on as her reinforcement, or if Andy made that move on his own. The timing of the edit makes it seem like Sutton was so terrified of Kathy being there she almost passed out onstage. I don't think Sutton is afraid of Kathy. Neither is Garcelle. (As an aside: As someone who still suffers from peripheral neuropathy (post-cancer treatment), that shit is no joke. Plus sitting under the hot stage lights for hours, dehydration, etc., I'm not surprised by Sutton's symptoms and yeah, she definitely needed to get to a hospital.) Jennifer Tilly is actually super loaded because of her own career moves and because her ex-husband (who was a co-creator of The Simpsons) left her a shit ton of money after he died (because they remained great friends) to the tune of over $100 million (IIRC). Sutton and Jennifer have been friends for over a decade. That's the kind of Hollywood friend who's worth something. Do Kathy and Rick really hold that much sway over the social circuit anymore? I remember them being in the society gossip pages back in the 1980s/1990s. You know, before Kathy pushed her daughters into becoming partying socialites. Not to mention, once all the dirt about Big Kathy came to light in the public eye, I think Kathy slowly started losing more shine. But I digress . . . I'm tired of the show being turned into some weird quasi-therapy session for the Richards sisters who will never fix their issues because then what else would they have to talk about? I mean, what other real conflicts do they suffer from in their daily lives? They're wealthy and privileged, even Kim (who seems to be the only sister with real health issues) still lives off alimony from her billionaire ex. I remember her chastising someone on the show by saying she has to be careful with what she does and says on the show, or her alimony gets reduced. I wish I could remember which episode that was. I'm too lazy to look. Lol. The way this show, and hearing about what happens on Paris In Love, has portrayed Kathy makes me wonder if Rinna (ugh) was the one telling the truth about Kathy regarding the Aspen club brouhaha. I'm no Rinna fan, but she hasn't always been wrong about everyone. She's called out a few things pretty accurately. Her problem was that she turned into a serious asshole and started coming across as majorly unhinged. IIRC, she sent Kathy flowers, or something, after last year's Reunion, so Kathy mentioned that she had forgiven her. Whatever. Erika said a lot of crap about Kathy last year too, but they acted like old friends on the couch. I thought Erika was just as nasty toward Kathy as Rinna had been. Technically, Kathy should have iced both of them out. I also don't believe, for a second, that Erika doesn't give a fuck about not being invited to social events. She whined for two seasons about how her marriage to, and divorce from, Tom ruined her life. That's proof to me that losing her position was the biggest deal to her (besides losing access to the stolen funds). Erika's not stupid enough to think that part of becoming a successful entertainer isn't by greasing the right palms and meeting the right people. For her, that was Tom. I highly doubt Kathy likes Erika enough to use whatever influence she might still have to prop up Erika. Kyle has always been fond of translating Kathy's behavior toward others, especially those people she doesn't like. I've often wondered how much of that is projection. Like when she accuses people of wanting to be around Kathy for access, when she attaches herself to the Hilton family whenever she can. It seems like she wants badly to be on the inside, regardless of how successful she and Mo have been on their own. Damn, I'm rambling... Sorry! One more thing: The inward eye rolls from Dorit and Erika when Kyle was talking (especially about Morgan) wasn't lost on me. Although I was a bit surprised by how obvious Erika was about it because she always acts and talks like she's so non-judgmental and open-minded, but she couldn't even hide her disbelief that Morgan had never seen (or heard of) the show. Plenty of bigger celebs have admitted to being RH fans. I, too, don't buy that Morgan has never heard of it. Anyway, I agree that Kyle won't define what she and Morgan are because it's one-sided. I don't think Morgan is in love with her. My guess is that Morgan sees Kyle as interesting, weird, and enjoys hanging out with her. But that's probably the scope of it. Maybe there was a brief fling, but all the energy seemed to be coming from Kyle rather than Morgan.

I'm not defending large age gap relationships, but I remember Crystal talking about the age gap between her parents. So, for her, it might not seem odd.

Kyle Richards: Pantene Poster Girl

The thought "Get someone to love you the way Carlton hates Kyle" came into my head while watching it. π -

Kyle Richards: Pantene Poster Girl

I was watching a YT clip of the Top Ten Fights on the show. Got to #8 which is Kyle v Carlton. The "Don't you dare command me!" fight. I've never seen someone hate another person quite like Carlton hates Kyle. π -
Lisa Rinna: These are the Lips of her Life
Surrealist replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
What's interesting for me is that Kim probably has been "close to death" on a few occasions due to her drinking and drug abuse. This doesn't mean that how Rinna carried on and goaded her wasn't wrong and meanspirited, it was. I've seen my fair share of stories where someone suffers from alcoholism, or drug use, for years, only to get clean and then die of a heart attack or a stroke from those decades of side effects. That's a very real thing, and it's something that Rinna has watched happen in her life on more than one occasion. All that said I'm glad she left the show because she was becoming extra nasty to others. I'd be curious to know what exactly made her pull the plug. I don't think it's just about Lois dying, since it seemed she never visited her parents that much once she moved out at 18. -
Lisa Rinna: These are the Lips of her Life
Surrealist replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Not gonna lie... Still thought Rinna talking all that shit to Eden, only to get busted, and then pretend she had amnesia still gets me. Total soap opera move. π Poor Eden was made to look like a naΓ―ve psycho, though. -
I suspect Kathy is going to be on because of the remark Sutton made to Kyle about screwing her over like she did to Kathy. Kyle responded to Sutton that they weren't sisters, and that is the truth. I like Sutton, but when she made that remark, I cringed. Like the audience, all the HWs are fully aware of the complex dynamics between the Richards sisters. I wish they would leave that topic alone. I'm so tired of talking about that toxicity, so I was peeved when Sutton brought that shit up again. Lol.

I think AM's biggest issue was allowing Kyle to wind her up in the same way Rinna wound up Eden against Kim (and to a lesser degree, Kyle) in Season 7. Not that I'm suggesting AM isn't at any fault in this situation, but I think much of it is on Kyle who tossed that ball to AM, and then AM went running with it.

Lisa Rinna: These are the Lips of her Life
Surrealist replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Last night I watched some Reunion clips. That moment shows up on so many of those clips. And you're right, it looks like a bunny you'd buy at a grocery store for Easter. Not that the gift is a bad idea, but not sure why Rinna would give Kim any gift when she never seemed to actually like Kim. For sure, Kim had her number. -
Kyle Richards: Pantene Poster Girl
Surrealist replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
So, I'm watching a YT video of Reunion clips. They showed Kyle going after Kathryn over Faye. Kyle wants Kathryn to feel worse for Faye and for Kathryn to discount her own feelings, and I had forgotten about that moment, but Kyle is a piece of shit for that. Faye brought about her own bad press by publishing a book about Nicole Brown, her friend who was murdered by her ex, not that long after Nicole was murdered. Faye can write about her life, whatever, but if she thought she wasn't going to catch heat for discussing Nicole in that way, she's a complete idiot. -
You mean not even the fabulousness that was Camille's Dinner Party From Hell episode?! And not even the Amsterdam Dinner From Hell episode?! For shame.

You're right. She still chose to marry him, but that doesn't make me less frustrated with him. π If he were still alive, I would die if the HWs had been interviewed by James Lipton. He'd ask them what kind of tree they'd choose to be. π

As someone who's both a cancer survivor and whose father is currently undergoing lung cancer treatment, I empathetize with AM. I wish she had talked about it during the season. Not every little detail, but I agree that it would have helped the viewers understand her reactions and personality better. Because of you I now know about the adoption info and that part of her story is also sad. I'm not even sure what else to say, but that has to sting really hard. π I still dislike her husband for telling her, to her face, that she's an 8.5 in every aspect. I want to punch him in the teeth for that. Right? I'm not even an Erika fan, but definitely felt her pain during the show. Her facial expressions. π€£

Kyle Richards: Pantene Poster Girl
Surrealist replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Kyle and Morgan met through rehab, right? Otherwise I don't know how Kyle would have known she exists, unless she's a hardcore country music fan. Also you're not supposed to start relationships while in rehab, right? Especially not with other patients.
