  1. @boes I’m enjoying Show as well.  I’m open to KA giving a good performance.  For one thing, Hope always had a stick up her butt IMO.  With this horrible experience maybe she’ll be less judgey - or not.

I stand alone in the Team Rafe corner.   I don’t want him sleeping with anyone, but I want him to find David and get back to be with him.

I’d like Lani and Eli to be back on the Salem PD.  The private detective Club is crowded.

I want Ciara to blame herself for being too wrapped up in Ben to see her Mom was not herself.  And I want someone to agree with her on that.  (I know, fat chance).

Im dreading the Baby Sekret coming out.

Why is no one suggesting to call on Amara?  She's an option no one has even mentioned.

Well they DID name-check her last night... it could be a prelude to calling her.

Looks like this show is ending without a finale.  And after I spent so many hours watching its desperately disappointing final season....

    Supernatural was specifically called out as NOT definitively ending without a finale;

It is also possible, by the way, that a handful of network shows will find a way to finish up their season orders earlier if the showrunner has enough clout or it makes financial sense — think a big hit such as Grey’s Anatomy. Warner Bros. and the CW might also be facing a very tough call in coming weeks: The series finale of Supernatural has not yet been filmed. It’s hard to think the network and studio will want to just let the show end without a good-bye, but depending on when production can resume, it might be hard to get the cast and Vancouver-based crew back together again. All of this is just speculation, however: Officially, nothing has been decided about either Grey’s or Supernatural.

I just have to think Misha's 'maudlin and melodramatic' tweet was more than just being cooped up at home. Honestly, I think at least the three of them (J2M) know what's up. IMO, their silence speaks louder than words.

NOTE:  NO cross-posting the info below elsewhere. It's just speculation.

Last November Misha indicated he was having his second hip surgery at the last week of March.  I hassled him because I said filming goes on until the 3rd of April!  He couldn't possibly recover in time.  He disassembled but I realize after the fact that he basically let slip he's not filming the last (maybe) 4-5 days.  He knew this in November.  And of course he proved me wrong by SKIING in December after the first hip surgery.  So it may be just a bump in the road for a couple of days.

Still, it seems possible with his text added, that Cas is either gone at the start of the finale or at the end of 15.19.  JUST SPECULATION -- NOT A KNOWN SPOILER.  They also could have planned to film out of order as it was clear 15.19/15.20 is a two-parter.  Finally, it's long ago been reported that ONLY J2 were scheduled to film the LAST SCENE on the extra day of filming (3 April) that they added to their contracts.  So, make of that what you will.

IKR! IDRIS!!!!! Sex on a stick cannot be felled by this!

Yes, I think Misha let reality slip, which is why he tried to delete the post. No, I don't think there's any way now they're going to get back to biz to finish up the last two episodes, and I'm sure they've all been told that.

So now we wait to see if the network and studio are even interested in negotiating for a 2-hour wrap-up tv flick to air in the fall - or even spring. Once contracts expire in April or May, that's not going to be a cakewalk.

The last two episodes are written, so that's something. But you need cast and crew to get them to screen.

I'm surprised at your surety.  Warner Brothers is not a preternaturally competent entity that has a crisis response plan in place.  For shows that are continuing on next season, I can see some definitive answers put out.  With SPN it's just far too complicated.  I agree ONE answer may be 'wrapup' in a different format (CW two-hour movie most obvious), but there's so may ways this can go.  At the least, a finale would go straight to video on the S15 DVD if for some reason the CW just completely flaked.

But yes, the WB DOES need to contract the work with cast and crew.  I have no doubt a force majeure clause was exercised.  But I'm 100% confident that J2 are all flexible enough to WANT to wrap up the show that they've worked on for the last 15 years. With Jared as an Exec Producer on 'Walker' he can also influence that impact.  IMO, so long as J2 are willing, they will find a way to wrap the series. And the SPN supporting cast and crew will pitch in to get it done.  The WB is the likely bill-payer here.  With worldwide DVD sales dependent on it, I think they'll cover.

And I don't expect a two-year time gap - barring MAJOR catastrophic impacts from Covid-19 that literally stops Vancouver filming.

  5. First watch thought in the form of “The Good, The Bad, The Ugly” plus an “On the Fence” category

    The Good:
    - TFW 2.0 Back Together (sort of — there are Jack doubts)
    - Jody!  How I love me some Jody.  I hope we get her one more time at least. That did not feel like a wrap, that felt like a ‘see you later’.
    - Death shows up.  Right now I have more questions than answers but I feel like we are on the cusp of getting some info.  And we need some.
    - The Bunker warding IS off.  I’m glad there was something discussing this because it feels like it’s been off for a while. TFW needs to get on that.  If MoL could put it together in the first place, then our boys should be able to fix it.
    - They immediately addressed the ‘but what about BALANCE?”question.  We don’t have an answer (I don’t think) but it’s not forgotten.
    - BEAUTIFUL VFx work in The Bad Place with the world-ending thing.
    - Earth 2 with two moons.  That was just cool IMO.

On the Fence (plot hints that wait until I see how it plays out):
    - Dean is freaking detached.  And no one comments.  It feels ‘on purpose’.  Like another phase of his reaction to being a Cosmic chew-toy.  He was his normal bad-ass self as soon as they were into action mode but his ‘resting mode’ place feels very uncomfortable.  I feel like an explosion is coming from him.
    - Cas just happy to follow Jack.  First, don’t get too happy Cas.  Second, also a detachment response — Cas letting go of responsibility.  I’ll wait to see if this is acknowledged later because it’s an issue IMO.
    - Sam seems to be plugging along.  He’s rightly freaked by Jack.  He’s questioning  what’s going on.  Etc.  I think this is a good thing right now but he’s going to have to confront Dean and Cas soon about detaching.  And if he hasn’t noticed, that’s a problem.

    The Bad:
    - Video store as destruction central.  On the one hand, it’s a clever way to ‘show’ cosmic destruction on a weekly TV budget.  On the other, it feels like the cheat it is.  There should be more gravitas for the loss of entire worlds.  I don’t like it treated like comedy. And I’m just pissed at Chuck lying to the video clerk as he walked out and then sent a meteor.
    - We could also see behind the curtain for why ”Claire” was absent.  Again, external forces drive this but it took me out of the picture.  I don’t have an issue, BTW, with Claire becoming consumed by revenge for Kaia’s death.  Claire has lived a f*cked up life.  Her putting good Kaia on a pedestal is survivor guilt behavior.  I do think “and they live happily ever after” is too trite of an end-state suggestion for Claire’s character, but I can see why that was chosen.
    - Jack is freakin dangerous without a soul.  Sam is right, this needs to be discussed.  Rules of Engagement put in place, etc...

    The Ugly:
    - Death talked and I still don’t understand.  Maybe it’ll be more clear next week but I’m still confused as to why Chuck is doing what he’s doing and how to stop him.
    - They LEFT Dark Kaia to die.  I get that she’s unhappy on our Earth but they basically let her commit suicide there.  How about TRY to get her to come back?  Or explain that the two of them can’t be in the same universe and she chose Good Kaia.
    - The VFx/SFx on the creatures was bad.

Bottom Line:  I get why Bobo Berens said this was a ‘bridge’ episode.  It clearly shows the back half of the season is starting.  The multi-verse is collapsing, it’s going to come down to a confrontation w/ Chuck and the Boys.  I’m not thrilled with Chuck as just evil and the casual murder of trillions in various “Earth-2’s”.  Feels to show-centric.  I do, however, feel like we are on the cusp of getting some clarity on what is happening — which I really want.

NOTE:  Death’s speech at the end is not remotely ‘skip-able’ if you are trying to follow the show plot.  I don’t understand it yet, but I know key mythology plot points when I see it.

  6. On Day one of Ep 1519.
I think they may try limiting personnel first before they shut down completely.

Alternately, they could shut down and restart in May (if the crisis has settled) with the last two episodes airing late summer.

Depending on how things progress, they may not have a choice in it by April.

I truly think the Creation peoples' heads will explode if they are forced to refund everyone.

If Creation cancels, they pay the hotel, the performers, and refund tickets. If Creation reschedules, they will probably still pay the hotel.

If Nashville (the city) or Tennessee declare a public emergency, the Creation may get away with not paying the hotel and possibly the performers.  Ticket goer SHOULD get a refund but they may offer credit (see their approach to the snow-mageddon of Seattle for M&G's). If they reschedule, IMO, individuals would be (personally) out airfare and prepaid hotel and would refund is dubious. They state multiple times:

  8. On ‘no touching’: saw Mandy Moore on the Today Show and they were talking about ‘not being allowed to hug’.  I really can’t blame Creation taking that stand.  Boston just cancelled the St Patrick’s Day parade.   This is a big financial impact everywhere.

Question: Do you think Creation should cancel/reschedule Nashville?  Wait and see closer?  Move ahead?

Well, 'possession is 9/10th of the law...'

I couldn't resist.  But yes, HIPAA is a name of a cat in Salem because they don't recognize it otherwise.  And no court orders that medical intervention.

On the other hand... let's get Theo back and upload some new software.....IT COULDN'T HURT.  Maybe make Hope actually eat food.  And Steve could stop chasing every ISA dream.

The whole submit/submission thing with Steveano and Marlena is gross. And offensive. And disgusting. And revolting.

    You get the point.

    Too bad Ron doesn't.

Can't wait to see what lows he takes us to this week. <eye roll>

    YES.

And to add a side of 'ewww':
    - 'Marlena' is 72, 'Stevano' is 69, and the essence of Stefano is 91.  Rolf must seriously be adding both a cup of delusion and a bucket of viagra along with some heart meds to his IV cocktail these days.

    Elsewhere:
    - This Chad thing must stop.  Billy is not pulling it off so we have to stop. Now.
    - I too liked Rafe/Gabi.  Gabi was weirdly (but effectively) asking a serious question regarding revenge.  Was she RAISED BY WOLVES?  Revenge is BAD.  Short term satisfaction never lasts. Unless she's enroute to full-blown psychopath, she really needs to pull-up.  And Wilson need to keep her away from Ari if she doesn't.
    - MY HEART BLEEDS FOR JUSTIN.  I used to really really dislike him when he was an arrogant SOB who cheated on Adrienne.  Now he's turned into a truly good person.  Go figure.
    - And Kayla is not competent for neurosurgery.  Nor could Rolfe have performed that on a bed in the cottage on Marlena.  *Shakes head*

  11. 1. It's ABOUT TIME Rafe got some backup.
    2. The confession is totally inadmissible, but Evan also pulled a gun on Sonny, threatened Will, and is clearly David's father.  I don't see him getting David.  But... this is Salem.
    3. Meh Orpheus.  I feel like this is temporary appearance.
    4. Ari needs to start her own damn "Go Fund Me" for therapy bills.

Is it just me or does this seem like special treatment due to his status? Why would no charges be filed by now through several court dates? Seems strange...

If it was special treatment, they would file, settle and move on.  Having it hang over your head is torture.   I think it’s most likely there’s an allegation made and so they have to investigate.  Data and memories fade, however, so the longer it goes, the less likely they have new discovery.  They may have ‘something’ they are trying to corroborate.

Right now there are no charges to plea bargain with.

in sum, I don’t think Jared’s legal team is driving this train.

  14. So.. with Nicole figuring out the answer.  Will Eric:
    1) Hate Xander - of course
    2) Revive his self-righteous yelling at Nicole for ... whatever reason he comes up with
    3) THANK Nicole because he was not as close to Mickey
    4) Fade into the woodwork, this is Lindsey Godfrey's Emmy story, not his.

1 is a guarantee.  But I don't know about the rest.  And even though he hates Kristen, I think he won't put up a fuss.  Neither will Sarah.  Sarah will mentally collapse but she won't try to resist them taking Mickey (nee Rachel) away.

*shakes head*  My poor Xarah ship.  Taking on more holes than the show's plot.

  15. And the legal issues!

Q: How many Stefano's to change a lightbulb?
A: None of them.  Harold will do it on his 97 year old spindly legs.

I have SUCH a weak spot for Kate.  I need her to save Chad this time.  Something to get his loyalty in full swing.  She's going to need it.  But she should wait until AFTER he bribes the DA (or whatever his plan is).

  16. Key plots points from Wednesday:
    - Ciara needs a hairbrush or Edward Scissorhands.
    - The actress who played Haley Chen gets a residual! (Because her photo was used)
    - Administering a paralytic and letting the individual experience it for an extended period is cruel.
    - I think the warden only gave Ben a chance because Marlena threatened to go to the press.
    - Evan MUST have left David with whomever he called.  There's going to be a mystery reveal, I'm sure of it (no spoilers, just forecasting).

    Today (Thurs):
    - I've pegged my Marlena quotient for the week.  It occurred to me that the stick up Eric's ass was genetically passed on from Marlena.
    - Gina/Bucket OTP!
    - What was Jennifer thinking?
    - John really chewed out Kate.  And Kate is right John, you are falling for Hattie.
    - *headdesk* WHY does Chad give a shit about Stefano?

Credit where credit is due: Charlotte drown Chad's phone.  I accept this as a realistic reason why Abi has not spoken to Chad about Stefano.

  17. NGL, Kristen looked lovely today.  She REALLT needs to work on that hypocrite thing.

Dr Raynor showing up pissed me off.  PICK A LANE.  You took the money for over a year.  Of all the gin joints in all the world, you had to walk back into Salem’s University hospital?  Nope.  She needs to be outed and lose her license.  Incompetent criminal.  *tsk tsk*

Xander, that bill is coming due.

Ciara is so freakin PRIVILEGED.  Waltzing into a prison with a murderer held at gunpoint.  I expect her to receive a scolding from someone for 20 secs before getting praised.

I’m glad we are reaching the climax of this story. It’s a bit OTT for me right now.

    OTOH,

Gabe sauntering into the hospital channeling her inner Scarlett O’Hara was excellent.  I liked the way she stands up to her critics.
