  1. Yeah it's Jana's husband - not Evan - helping; I couldn't remember his name. Not that Carlin herself isn't pathetic. Showed up at Katie's place at midnight to give her a basket for Target crap for her bday. Katie looks rough - overwhelmed and exhausted. Which isn't shocking given that the chick gave birth 5-6 days ago and her kid was in the hospital for a while so they JUST got home. But Carlin doesn't care. She rounded up Jana, Jessa, Jinger, Josiah Duggar's wife, John David Duggar's wife, and 3 other women I don't recognize and it was PARTY PARTY - i.e. OMG THEY WENT TO TARGET AT NIGHT to buy junk snacks, candy, and assorted plastic crap to present to Katie. It doesn't seem like all these people landed at Katie's home at midnight - at least I hope not - but you never know. I swear C&E act like they're 20 year old college kids - they're trying to live that portion of life even though they're well past those ages. They have no understanding that even if it is your tradition to crash the bday person's house at midnight - maybe DON'T - this year bc she may not be up to it. It's quite possible her kid had fallen asleep for a bit so she was sleeping between feedings and now she has to entertain you and be camera presentable. You can give her Target snacks and plastic junk at noon the next day. And oh yeah Carlin & Evan it isn't hospitable to ask your guests - or take them up on their polite offers - to do home improvement chores for you like hanging a light fixture. Are you headed to Nebraska to help Jana/her husband refinish their floors? Lol no. But they're such grifters just like Gil. I mean they had Zach setting up their grill and making them dinner while they did nothing. They also had Zach and 2 neighbor teens build their kids' swingset while they again did nothing. So par for the course.
  2. So Evan continues to be the most useless husband ever. Carlin posted an IG about how they've had a houseful - not only Joy but it looks like Jessa/Ben and their kids stayed with C&E for/after Jase's wedding. Jana and her husband may have stayed also or at least stopped by. So then she posts a pic about how she finally got a lighting fixture for her living room and Jana is standing up on a ladder hanging it with her husband standing there holding the fixture/parts to help her. Uh hello Evan - you did go to electrician school for all 5 yrs and then had a graduation party with mommy and daddy remember? But no worries I'm sure Evan was at the hospital to party party during Katie's birth. Carlin posted pics of her, Whit, and Kelly hanging out in the room with Katie pre-birth - Whit sitting there with her shoes ON Katie's bed. Carlin has feet on the bed too but at least managed to slip off the shoes she sauntered thru the entire hospital in.
  3. In NJ Trav and Katie came across as fairly good parents because they had HIS parents watching over them. IDK if his parents gave explicit instructions or if there was just enough grandparental "judgment" that they felt like they had to be home for Hailey's bedtimes and nap times and not just let her sleep anywhere; feed her real food rather than just handing her ice cream. Trav even had the balls to stand up to Evan the one time C&E arrived expecting 10 days of party party and Trav was like uh yeah we're going to hang at home, you can come to the gym and church with me 1x but we aren't running off to NYC or even Philly with a tiny baby in tow. C&E were packing in 3 days lol. And that extended to bigger life issues too like medical care. Katie was high risk last time too - I assume she has the clotting disorder that many sisters have - and she was seeing high risk specialists in Philadelphia at an ivy league health system and then delivered her child at a big regional hospital in NJ which has a NICU. I can't imagine morons Katie and Trav came up with this on their own - I assume his parents were like - ok you need to go to UPenn to consult with a specialist and have them coordinate with your NJ drs. Trav ALWAYS loved visiting Tenn - much more than any other Bates son in law enjoys the inlaws. I always thought it was because he grew up in a more "serious" home, never had any of the normal life experiences like going off to college and hanging with the guys and had to run and get married at 20. And now suddenly he was thrust into a dirty house that was loud at all hours of day and night with people coming and going and no one going off to work for the day. And then when they started staying with Carlin/Evan - suddenly it was another guy to hang with at midnight and drinking soda and eating chips - party party. And we all know Katie is a flake. Whichever way the wind blows. When she was around her serious inlaws, of course she was more serious about parenting. Now she's with party party Carlin who is giving her kids Doritos for lunch and letting them nap anywhere - no reason Hailey can't do that while eating ice cream. So I imagine that extended to this pregnancy too. Just see the local drs that are most convenient and deliver at the local hospital that has the fanciest rooms and that's that. Has Evan arrived yet? After all when Whit's kid was born he declared that he LOVES hanging out at the hospital eating snacks. And then he and Carlin "visited" daily from noon to 10 pm bc party party. Frankly he acted the same way at Katie's first birth too. Trav even said that Katie was in a lot of pain but bc her family was around - with Carlin and her kid climbing in Katie's bed with her doing makeup - she went along with it. And then when the family would finally leave Katie was falling apart and worn out.
  4. Given how high risk all these chicks are and given that Z&W's kid, 2 of Josie's kids, and I think Layla (though that may not have been at birth) have ended up in the NICU, why on earth don't these chicks all deliver at the hospital that it attached to the children's hospital. That is an option in Knoxville. I mean Katie was seeing a high risk dr for her first kid in NJ. Did all of that logic fly out the window bc now the inlaws aren't there to helpfully suggest such things? And FFS I don't believe it's a money thing - they buy new cars and vacations like they're going out of style, to say nothing off all the dining out, Sbux, and manis/pedis. Is health not worth spending money on? Why . . . bc God? But then is God telling you you need 6 vacations/yr?
  5. They really need to let us know they're trying?? Carlin posted a real yesterday with the text "POV - Feeling like it's time to add another tiny human to our squad" while posing with the 2 tiny humans she currently has and can barely feed a hot meal to and posing profile belly shots - fortunately clothed. I mean we know they're not stopping at two as she was whining last year and snapping being like - and what am I supposed to do if drs. can't figure this out, ONLY have 2 kids!? And now with Katie pregnant and I wouldn't be shocked if Whit comes back from Hawaii pregnant (though maybe not - I could see them being done with 5? 6?), of course that Bates competition is stirring up. Whether they can and want to take care of another child be damned, they NEED another child.
  6. Katie has the maturity of a 14 year old who is highly influenced by whomever she is around. So when she was in NJ around inlaws who took parenting seriously - then yeah she and Trav were all about being home for Hailey's bedtime, heading home when it was time for her to nap, not going out at 10 pm bc they had a kid. You know just acting like parents. Now the inlaw influence is 600+ miles away and C&E are down the road so . . . party party. Now it's perfectly fine for Hailey to sleep anywhere in C&E's house bc K&T need to "act like teenagers" and party party. Some on Reddit noted that now you see Hailey getting her own giant ice cream cones all the time bc Katie has an ice cream obsession and they can't just feed her a few bites of theirs when they see Layla and Zade with their own individual packages of junk in hand 24-7. She posted an IG of Hailey laying in bed eating packaged muffins. So yeah she's moving away from her inlaws' influence of giving the child actual food and fruit and towards Carlin and Evan convenience mode of - hand them Doritos and call it lunch, what's the problem? And SLAY Carlin and Evan - partying with your brother and sister and BIL by . . . . watching a movie . . . OMG you're SOOOOO cool 🙄
  7. IDK ever since Chad came along on the TV show, he struck me as the patriarchal - men have to work with their hands - type. He didn't strike me as someone who wanted to be a dr. like his dad (grandfather?) who was denied. Nor someone like Josiah Duggar who used to say he wanted to be accountant but a real college was a no no, so now he's stuck in trade work. And frankly at 37 with 6 kids, it doesn't matter what YOU want. You need to provide for all the kids you HAD TO have and no housing isn't merely a "distraction." I've been saying the furniture making thing for years. I feel like he WAS making furniture at one point in Tenn - early in their marriage. I recall a server/China cabinet that was very professional looking and no sooner did he finish it, Erin demanded one for herself. But NC furniture country is a very real thing and independent builders get linked up with the furniture companies and showrooms down there where pieces are sold for thousands or sometimes even tens of thousands of dollars. It doesn't just supply the southeast but a nationwide market of folks looking for real wood, American made furniture that'll last forever. I got introduced to furniture country when I lived in central Virginia and there were always NYC designers down there looking for custom made pieces with the exact specs that they're multi millionaire NYC clients desired. I always assumed Chad didn't pursue this bc - in addition to at that time in his marriage being bogged down by having to make the same stuff for Erin + whatever G&K wanted from home improvement to hair cuts for their kids - it meant dealing with women. I mean most of the buyers and designers that you have to get in with who agree to buy your furniture on a repeated basis are going to be women - who know that certain pieces sell, what consumers look for, what interior decorators look for, what custom pieces are being requested. Chad and Erin likely both decided he ain't gonna deal with women-folk - they'd rather just consider housing a "distraction." But let's be real it's just laziness. The furniture making skills translate to lots of other things also big in that region - cabinets, flooring. Building kitchen cabinets that'll be sold to some supplier to sells to Home Depot is a problem why exactly!?
  8. Plus the competition. It's always competition. NONE of the Bates siblings have a pool even those who have bigger homes and more land - ahem Z&W. They won this race bc not only did they get a pool but OMG a hot tub too and they got it first. Sure Z&W may put in a pool and hot tub but it'd be copycatting. K&T may get one down the road but I imagine it would be if/when they move back to NJ and NJ just isn't pool weather for as many months per yr compared to Tenn. I mean it must kill the Stews that they haven't won the house, vacation, or travel races with her siblings. Trav had a house pre marriage. Z&W have a bigger house. And Josie/Kelton have purchased land to build a house - which Evan used to talk about wanting to do as a damn STUDENT. Sure Evan got the Tesla but Trav had one first. And sure they got a Jeep, but Z&W went out and got a 100k SUV and Katie has a new SUV too. And vacations - while they party party with their pastor at Disney, Z&W are celebrating an anniversary in Hawaii and Josie/Kelton went to Italy for an anniversary and Law/Tiff travel non stop in the country and also in Europe. But they got the dirty hot tub + unsafe pool dammit. And BTW hasn't unsafe behavior already started? Carlin posted an IG the other day hawking some product as she was going from inside the house to the backyard. The kids were in the pool alone. Knowing she'd get criticism, she throws in oh Evan is sitting out here editing - doesn't show him and he's uncharacteristically quiet. So even if she wasn't lying and he was out there - he was sitting staring at a laptop? How much would he notice if one of the kids started having trouble and needed to be pulled out of the pool? He'd only notice if a kid yelled but not if it was like hmm the kid looks like he's breathing heavy/getting tired, ok enough pool time, time to get out. And I still don't get why they treat this 4 and 2 yr old like they are college roommates. I've always said that when they toss them Doritos for a meal but now with this damn pool too. I mean they've had a few swim lessons so they are free to jump in the pool whenever? Don't care what the official pool safety rules are, I think with kids that little, they only go in the pool if you are in the pool WITH THEM or at minimum you are in swimwear sitting at the edge of the pool legs dangling in the water ready to swim up to them at any second.
  9. Interesting - I don't watch K&T as much so wasn't aware it was going in this direction. Not entirely shocking though. Katie has the maturity of a 14 year old who is influenced by whoever she is around. In NJ she was around her inlaws who appear to take parenting pretty seriously. So she became the type of mom who dotes on her kid - not just in the putting them on IG way the Bates do - but making them meals, sticking to nap times, generally doing what's good for them. Not that K&T didn't grab plenty of CFA in NJ, but she also used to cook simple meals - bc often she'd shoutout her MIL or SIL for some simple recipe. Well now she sees bestie Carlin daily or at least 3-4 times a week and when she sees Carlin giving her kids Doritos and calling it lunch, why should she make a grilled cheese and cut up a vegetable? Plus the inevitable "competition" between the sisters, Carlin has prided herself on getting the kids a treat every time they leave home. I mean 1 yr old Layla routinely got cake pops every time they went to Sbux. Ice cream obsessed Katie can't be left behind. Of course if they are getting ice cream, her 18 month old needs her own giant cone. Too bad for Hailey, had they stayed in NJ she would've had parents and grandparents who paid attention to her, fed her well, generally looked at for her. Instead she gives up Grandma and Grandpa Clark for ditzy Aunt Carlin and Gil & Kelly who didn't even raise their own kids and do not care and just show up to take pictures to prove they are loving grandparents.
  10. When you're the boss' son/grandson - and dad and/or grandpa are fine with this arrangement - who is going to make you come in?
  11. Katie married money so it's different for her. As much as K&T claim that he doesn't have parental financial help, he most certainly does just based on how they live. Do they really expect us to believe that her IG + his occasional singing pays for a house in NJ, a house in Tenn, a Tesla, a new SUV, brand new furniture, and like 3-4 vacations per year? Come on. Fairly certain he is "on staff" at dad/grandpa's school. You know some made up position like board member or curriculum director or music curriculum director or some such thing where he does nothing or maybe does 1-2 zoom meetings per year - and his parents use that to pay him a handsome 200-250k + benefits each year. I mean he married at 20 years old and owned his own house which he gut renovated with the highest end fixtures you could find and at the time drove a luxury car. Yeah mom and dad paid for all of it, and with the NJ house it came out - I think it was a cash purchase or something. It was also interesting that when Katie was pregnant in NJ, she wasn't just going to whatever private practice could handle her pregnancy on the cheap. I recall her going to ivy league health system UPenn for specialists etc. - so yeah the Clarks are making sure K&T and their kids have $$$ health insurance.
  12. That's how he qualified. He was an IBEW apprentice and the last 2-3 years of electrician training is mostly just working - with only a classroom hours left. Per Google IBEW apprentices on average make ~$21/hr in Tennessee - so 40 hrs/wk that's 43k per year. And while I live in a different region of the country, from what I've heard from a few guys who went through the IBEW program, you NEVER work just 40 hrs/wk. There's always overtime even as an apprentice. Not to suggest Evan is hardworking or anything but back then he WAS leaving the house at 6 am (when Carlin would wake up to cry) and coming home at 6 pm. So yeah he probably was making in the upper 40s/close to 50. That's enough to qualify for a mortgage in Tenn. esp when credit conditions weren't as tight as they are now + the bank was looking at a union member - i.e. this person is going to make a steady 80-100k for life. They didn't know he was going to ditch it all the moment he graduated so he could exploit his kids on YT and golf. Carlin/Evan should think hard about the - oh this is just our starter home - BS bc I don't think they'll realize it'll be much much harder to qualify for a mortgage this time around. Evan does gig work. Carlin is a small biz owner and banks are super cautious with legit real businesses like owning a small plumbing company, let alone retail businesses. He hadn't quit when they closed on the house, nor when they moved; he was technically still a union employed electrician when they moved - he was just on FMLA. And the close was 1-2 weeks prior to the move bc of Carlin's health issues having them stuck in Nashville so at closing for all the bank knew - he was a union employed electrician.
  13. Unfortunately I think this is 100% what is going to happen. How old is Carson - 9-10? I don't think Chad is suddenly going to do anything to get his act together and get himself a steady income. So it's going to be another 5 years of moving around, dad doing handyman jobs here and there, praying for the Lord to get us our next place to live blah blah. And bam Carson is 15-16 and suddenly they can be a "double income" household - whatever Chad brings in + Carson now having to work. It's no secret all these chicks start their kids in homeschool early and/or run longer school years so that the kids are all done school by age 16. Carlin I think was still "teaching" when Jackson was a teen and at one point she was "bragging" about how he was finishing up school at 16 and was basically just rushing to do whatever remaining school in the evenings so he could be free to work construction and make $ all day. Though lucky for him - unlike Lawson - he was one of the younger sons so he was making $ for himself to get out of dodge, not to fund G&K's household expenses. Carson won't have that luxury as the oldest son. That child looks miserable/worried all the time and my sense is mommy and daddy have each made him their bestie in ways that are not age appropriate. There was no reason an 8 yr old needed to know about his mother's fertility and be praying non stop for more siblings and a boy. If she can talk to her 9 yr old son about her fertility, you better believe she's in his ear 24-7 about how expensive everything is, how hard it is to buy a house, how daddy works soooo hard blah blah. Not to mention I'm sure they're both making Carson/Brooklyn (and whichever other kids understand) pray for a housing solution by Dec. Being in a child's ear about things that will just worry them but they can't do anything about is the surest way to give them anxiety for life.
  14. From Carlin's videos it has always appeared that Bill and Jane's bedroom/bathroom IS on the ground level of that house. I've always noticed it bc Carlin/Evan and Law will go there to "help" Jane and will always make such a racket as they "make breakfast" - i.e. bang the cabinet doors etc. - and then Jane comes out of her bedroom. Like you're grown adults there to supposedly care for your elderly grandparents whose bedroom is 4 ft away, maybe SHUT UP. IDK if it was designed that way or if at some point as they aged they decided to close off some space and make a master bed/bath downstairs. So while Bill has general mobility problems, at least one of the problems isn't having to go up and down the stairs all day. By no means do I think Bill and Jane should EVER consider the idea of some mobile home or prefab home while Chad/Erin live in THEIR home that they worked their whole lives to build. The "best" that can be done here IF Jane were to agree at some point when she needs more help - Chad/Erin live in their home, taking care of her and Bill, while Chad earns money outside the home doing . . . something . . . to come up with the money for a prefab home on the property and then that prefab home goes on Gil's acreage. While that would probably cause issues with the other sisters/BILs who don't work and want $$ - i.e. Evan - at least those are issues for Gil to resolve with HIS brood - without unfairly taking anything from their aunt, uncle, or cousins. Not sure I realized Bobby/Tori had moved out of the starter home though now that you say it it does sound vaguely familiar. I mean the reason uber fundie Tori is doing better is because she married a man who is willing to go to work every day. And she married a man who was raised upper middle class himself, so he understands that things like housing and mortgages are a necessity, not a "distraction." At one point I used to follow Bobby's sister on IG and she always used to give major props to their dad for being so religious blah blah but also being so great at finance and having taught her so much that she's now applying to secure her future. So yeah pretty sure he taught his only son those things too and Bobby unlike Chad probably knows what the S&P is and throws some extra money in there as finances allow. And FWIW I think Kelton is trying to build a large stable business that'll go on for years and years in Knox, so I think he does pay people well. Per an IG he did with Josie this year, his business is now big enough that he isn't even managing the entire biz himself anymore - he has hired 2-3 people to oversee sales, accounts etc. Obviously he still has Bobby too - but if he felt he needed 2-3 additional people besides him and Bobby, yeah he's paying Bobby well. And last yr he went on a podcast with that barber friend of theirs talking small biz and he was quite direct in saying it is his goal to make as many of his employees millionaires as possible. He didn't specify how - could be through retirement matches to encourage saving for the future; could be through profit sharing so that if the biz does well this year, everyone does better than just their avg salary. I mean obviously trade businesses do this kind of thing to hold onto their good plumbers, but I can't imagine that he's doing all this and excluding Bobby. So yeah Bobby while not as well off as how he grew up, is doing perfectly well for himself. While Chad is making scripture cards to sell on Etsy or wherever . . . .
  15. I wonder if going back to Tenn would be a problem for Erin too. I mean obviously Chad would feel like he was handing his testicles to Gil if he had to admit that they needed to live with G&K, so that's not an option. But even Chad taking on a job like he had when newlywed at that metal shop or getting an unlicensed contractor biz going again (which he gave to Trace so now he'd have to start another one or get back in with Trace; my sense is Trace gets along really well with Chad/Erin but he now has to think about providing for a family too). I mean even getting some gig in Tenn would mean going back to renting a property like the one they lived in before or the ones that Trace and Brandon/Michael live in now. Those are fine for 2 and 3 person families but with SIX kids!? As much as Erin goes on about how much she misses Tenn, I think she'd constantly be comparing. While the feud is on with Whit, Carlin, and Katie - it isn't hard to figure out via social media and/or family gossip that Z&W took out a mortgage, bought a house with acreage, and renovated the whole house and made it upscale. And C&E have a relatively big house where they just put in a pool and drive a Tesla and a Jeep and vacation every 2 seconds, and they refer to this house as just their starter home. Josie and Kelton have a smaller renovated home and just bought land - so they'll be putting up a brand new house. Trav/Katie - he comes from money so they can live however they want. Bobby/Tori - sure they have a more regular older home but Tori's husband was at least willing to take on a mortgage and get into a house and hold down a job to pay said mortgage so that housing his 5 kids isn't a "distraction." IDK how these people are sleeping at like. They aren't just a 22 yr old married couple so whatever - they have SIX kids!? TBH their best bet is South Carolina under the guise of taking care of Bill/Jane. The rest of the family would be happy bc they would not have to keep up a rotation of someone heading down there weekly and Chad/Erin would save face while solving their longer term housing problem without having to admit that they're up $hit creek with 6 kids and a husband who won't work steadily. I just don't think it happens NOW because I can't see Jane agreeing. It isn't any secret that she doesn't like the chaos of a house full of people. Granted Chad/Erin's kids aren't feral but they are still kids. Jane right now is lucid enough that I think she'd say no and/or Erin would know NOT to ask. But as Jane gets older, I think she'd relent if it meant someone there full time taking care of the grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning up after every meal, and Bill - and Erin and her 4 daughters could do all of that really well in a traditional fashion.
  16. So the mission is spreading God's word and seeking his kingdom and things like housing are just a "distraction" and they are praying hard and they know God will open a door. Uh brainwashed much? You're 37 years old. You have SIX kids. Housing is a "distraction"? Is food a distraction too? What on earth do you plan to do if a door doesn't open by December? Though I guess that's when we'd see them headed back to G&K's house or Chad's parents' house or Bill/Jane's house with 6 kids in tow. Honestly long term I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up at Bill/Jane's - maybe not this move but a few moves down the road. Bill and Jane appear to have hundreds of acres of land as I think 2 of Gil's siblings have their own houses on the property. Perfect place for Chad/Erin to put up a prefab type home where they don't need to buy land. Obviously 37 year old glorified handyman making scripture cards for Etsy likely doesn't have the 50-100k for a prefab home and they don't believe in mortgages, nor is any bank giving a mortgage to someone who works sporadically. So this type of move would have to involve moving in with Bill/Jane for a few years as Chad does whatever he does to gather money and then build a house with teenage Carson by his side. Can't imagine Jane loving the idea of living with 6 kids but as she gets older, I could see her relenting to having Erin there to help with Bill, cook every meal, clean etc. - or Erin's daughters for those tasks.
  17. Hmm - per that AMA Carlin wears a "mask" re personality but is likely a mean girl but also low self esteem. She's also Type A and may feel she "needs" to be submissive to Evan - though obv she isn't. None of this is shocking but it does explain why really everyone other than Whit avoids C&E. Sure Josie is now starting to be around Carlin more but I imagine that it's in the interest of her girls having friends. You don't even see Katie and Trav with C&E all the time even though they are now in Knox. Clearly they have drawn some lines. G&K effed up their kids good. If she's type A - guess what she should have gone to college. Real college - not Crown with a few online semesters at Liberty. She should have pursued a career - something that could've benefited from her type A personality. Hell they should've sent her to school where she would've learned why the mean girl stuff doesn't work and isn't necessary. And if she really has low self esteem - and she has herself said she had anxiety growing up - maybe something other than pray it away would've helped. Instead they raised her to be a loud irritating person who married another loud irritating and maybe creepy person.
  18. Eating snacks in the waiting room when Whit or Katie are giving birth. Eating snacks on the drive to his parents or her grandparents. Eating snacks with visiting siblings. Eating snacks period - party party y'all. I always say C&E THINK they can party. Drop them off on a Friday night at nearest UTenn campus. They'd run away in shock when they see boys making out with girls that aren't their wives; girls initiating the make out sessions; people making out with multiple people in one night; hell guys kissing a boyfriend; people drunk; people high. They'd go running back to Target to grab their Fritos and PRETEND they party hard. HAHAHAHAHAH. Hate to say it but it's always the most "religious" who have no problem with fraud, tax fraud etc. I've seen it in my own faith - preaching to everyone 24-7 but then running a fake LLC to write off household expenses that have nothing to do with business or grabbing PPP $ (pandemic funds for small businesses) even though have no small biz/no biz that was affected by the pandemic in any way. Isn't this a mega church that they run? Uh many of those pastors are known to be on the take - so I assume they still are. And I'll be honest C&E are probably NOT turned off by it. C&E and many of the sisters are really impressed by flashy money. So to C&E the pastor and his wife have the life that they aspire to - travel, the huge house with the BIG swimming pool - not just this kid sized pool in the monstrosity of a yard. And let's be real just like Josh Duggar I'm sure they excuse any wrongdoing that pastor's wife was charged with bc heathens persecuting God's best children, test from God etc etc. The same way these morons don't think Josh did anything - he just got caught up in something bc . . . God!?
  19. My bad - I thought they bought in 2021. Instead they bought in 2022 right when Zade was born bc there was the whole thing of having to move while in Nashville with Carlin having her episodes. May 2022 interest rates (approx) = 5.89% for a 30 yr fixed. Yet the bidding wars were still on at that point because there was no supply on the market. They def did a YT with Carlin boohooing about how they'd never get a house and then she got into how she's always had anxiety and Daddy Dearest used to tell her to pray more. So best of all worlds baby - overpaid on a house AND bought at a high interest rate AND now pumping $ into it they are never going to get back out bc most adult buyers are not interested in a yard that looks like a fun zone designed by a 10 year old. They got the mortgage when they were still super steady - i.e. Evan was in an electrical union, getting paid as an apprentice, about to graduate with a 70-90k position in hand (I'm guessing - bc in my area on the east coast when you graduate IBEW apprenticeship the starting salary is 110k; I assume it's less in Knoxville due to cost of living but I doubt it's 50k either). From a lenders perspective he was super steady - what's steadier than union work. All the sitting home, making money on YT started AFTER they bought their house once Carlin's issues started. I think they probably have to start convincing themselves that this is the forever home. It's going to be hard to sell at the price they bought it at unless the economy somehow booms again which doesn't look like it's happening currently; and it's going to be even harder to sell + recoup all the $$ put into the yard. AND it's going to be harder to qualify for a mortgage on the next home as lenders get weary of people with legit businesses of their own - like plumbers - let alone well our income fluctuates based on how well our clickbaits work on YT and how many fans show up at a warehouse sale!?
  20. Wow they have really made a mess of that backyard. I know they think they are people of leisure but that yard is not big enough for a pool + hot tub + putting green + playset + patio. And if they aren't going to level out that right side (I refuse to watch the YT to figure out if they are or are not planning that), they're begging for a water run off issue, the next time a tropical storm makes its way up from Florida and goes through the rest of the country - which is not an infrequent occurrence these days. All the water from the right side is going to flow into the putting green and/or the pool. And they say this ISN'T their forever home? Do they realize no one is going to buy a house that has a yard that looks like a fun house?? And to remind everyone a house they HAD TO HAVE as Carlin was boo-hooing that she'd never get a house so in the 2021 bidding wars, they over paid for it? Sure they have a 2% mortgage but they best start thinking of this as their forever home, even as Josie moves onto a McMansion or a home with land (they've said they are looking - IDK which they will get) bc there is NO WAY they are selling their house at what they over paid for it, let alone the overpaid amount + the amount they are paying for this pool/hot tub/putting green monstrosity. They certainly are acting like this is their forever home and it doesn't matter that any would be buyer has zero room to play catch with his kid or plant some flowers!? And at this point I'm 100% convinced that C&E live off of YT exploitation and IG income. I know Carlin has made some suggestions that Evan gets soooo many video editing jobs but uh when - dude is always traveling or at the golf course. She's also said they have an investment that's doing really well but I take that with a grain of salt bc they clearly are the - spend every $ that comes in - types; and uh I'd trust a 4th grader to have better investment sense than them. I think the boutique now is basically a tax loss/haven for C&E and Z&W. Having been a bankruptcy lawyer for 20 yrs - they definitely strike me as the young business owner types who use the business to deduct out every little thing falsely claiming their 100k vehicles, trips etc are "for the business." And having been a bankruptcy lawyer, I know what a business looks like that ain't doing well. I mean inventory stacked to the ceiling at all times? Warehouse sales like 4-6 times in 3 months to move merchandise? These aren't markers of a healthy business. And frankly there have been Wall Street earnings calls lately where retailers like Target are saying they are having a hard time moving merchandise - and they truly buy their merchandise cheap due to negotiating power. But we're supposed to think as grown women are constantly complaining about grocery prices being too high, they are skipping off to BSB to buy a $75 frock that your 2 year old niece would wear? Please. They must think they are GENIUSES and the rest of us were born yesterday and have nooo idea how business, investments, or the economy work.
  21. Yes. It was likely in the YT where they hung out at the hospital for DAYS after Whit had one of the kids. Like total losers they'd show up at 10 am every day and not leave until 10-11 pm at night and even joking they should just sleep over at the hospital. At one point Evan announces, I LOVE hanging out at the hospital - hanging out, eating snacks!? So yeah clearly these people have lives of their own. Lol. But at some point Whit must've kicked him out to breastfeed bc he then took viewers on a tour of the hospital bc he did his apprenticeship there. Walked around the garages pointing out all the electrical that he installed during his apprenticeship and then at one point announced - I'm preppy, I didn't really like being on a construction site. 🙄
  22. He finished. They had a graduation cake for him at his parents. Her episodes started right then - I believe at his parents. He was supposed to start a real job that Monday. He called them up and used FMLA (I guess bc he had been a union "employee" for yrs as an apprentice) pushed it back bc he couldn't leave her. But eventually FMLA ran out and they made a dramatic oh no Evan got fired, look at how good MY man is, sacrificing HIS DREAMS for me. This was what like 2.5 yrs ago? And in that 2.5 yrs he's clear as day said he never intends to be an electrician, never wanted to be an electrician, he just needed to do something to marry Carlin. Lol. So yeah this isn't a guy who has enough ambition or pride to work even half days or have an EV installing side hustle. I mean why - when he can talk about 4 yr old Layla's potty training on camera and have her dance on camera? Right now there is such a shortage of electricians in the US (bc the average electrician is something like 55 yrs old and as the older ones retire, there aren't enough new ones coming on board), that you could definitely find SOME electrician job that works for you. He has already said he's a preppy boy who hated construction sites. So yeah residential electrician, installing light fixtures and EV chargers in driveways. But even that would require you to get off your ass, which Evan doesn't do unless it's woohoo party party with the 40 yr old pastor at Disney.
  23. Couples trip with their 40+ yr old pastor and his wife to . . . Disney, a place that caters to kids. Carlin has been to Disney at least 3-4 times with this same woman for girls trips. Now Evan is there also. Funny how the only times they've taken their kids to Disney - a place a 4 yr old would enjoy - was during Jackson's wedding. And it was a rushed as hell trip for like a half day bc they had a rehearsal, wedding etc to attend too. So rushed that Z&W declined to take their 4-5 kids. So of course the kids were exhausted and falling asleep in places. But it doesn't matter, it was just for YT anyway to put Layla in a princess dress and capture her face when she saw the princesses. It wasn't a trip actually for the kids. And yeah pool gates/fences don't work if you don't ever close them which these people won't. And btw what happened to the Blackstone grill and griddle that Evan HAD TO have bc Kelton and Zach had one? I know he was beside himself bc the gas tank ran out and then he went to the store to pick up another tank and picked up an empty one which ran out in the middle of making burgers. So I guess that traumatized him enough to throw it out? I was reminded of it bc they keep showing us their yard and we don't see it pushed up on the patio someplace to keep it away from the construction.
  24. It's a wonder how these 2 stumble through life and raise kids - one of whom had a heart issue at birth and is below growth charts, the other testing high for lead or something - when they can't manage simple dr instructions. Carlin has a reel up from today and have no fear Evan went into the office with a camera around his neck bc gotta earn the $$$ for next week's YT y'all. But seriously - they spend their time decorating the room, picking out snacks for post surgery, stopping at CFA on the way TO surgery and only outside the office does Evan read the paperwork with the instructions on what to do prior. And then starts freaking out about how the paper says not to wear cologne and he put on cologne and OMG he HAS to tell the dr. I mean heightened drama for YT of course - will the surgery go, or won't it? But my god you idiots it's prob like a page of instructions as Evan is crowing about - I didn't peruse the page until now bc they told me to wear glasses, put in drops, I knew everything. But then these were the idiots who'd show up like an hr or two late for Carlin's cardiology appointment when she was going thru her neuro stuff, Sbux in hand, and be like hahah they're still gonna take us, we have young kids with us, this is soooo inconvenient. So I guess instructions don't apply to them. What's the deal with this surgery anyway? Has he always wanted it or is this like well medical YTs bring in a LOT of views so hmm maybe we should do this - I mean there's probably a prep YT, one for surgery day, maybe one later re how good it went . . . . Surgery day YT already up . . . ah so it wasn't today . . . makes sense given that it's Sat. We just had to tease it all on Sat to drive the views.
  25. Is that why he's been in glasses for a few weeks? Like is that a thing pre surgery? Watched her reel and I truly don't get it. He's having Lasik so he needs to decorate his bedroom? What in the world - in what universe does anyone need balloons and streamers and scented candles as part of ANY surgery recovery? And is there any surgery on earth where the post surgery recovery diet = Cheetos, Reeses, Mounds, Hostess Twinkies, and Dr. Pepper? Not that Lasik requires any kind of post surgery diet but IDK that I'd assume Hostess and Dr. Pepper is the way to go here. And btw her stupid reel on Evan's snacks and room decor for Lasik is getting WAY more comments from Katie, Whit, etc. then Law/Tiff's damn baby. Including from Tiff herself who said Carlin was the best wife ever. Uh Tiff stop sucking up to these people. Though given that they read here/Reddit and have seen people say WTH they aren't even acknowledging Tiff's child, they've all made their way to Tiff's IG to leave 2 word comments so now I guess the kid is acknowledged and Tiff will go back to cooing over her SILs hoping against hope she'll be accepted.
