  1. Sami looked like she just rolled out of bed after a really late night. A really rough late night. To match his personality?
  2. In real life, yes. But in soaps, they gloss over that kind of stuff all of the time. It would be easy enough to have EJ (as the victim) say he didn't want to pursue things and the matter would be dropped. I just want it out in the open, but if they insist on never revealing it, I'm fine with that IF, and only if, they stop using it as blackmail fodder against Will. I can't handle another Will the Victim story spawned by someone finding out his secret.
  3. I did like Will deciding that he's had enough of people "protecting" him, but isn't admitting to murder in order to protect someone else the wrong way to go about it? Wasn't the whole point of covering up the River Dump so that Arianna could have both of her parents in her life? But Will's going to toss that aside now? And who does Will think he's covering for? Lucas or Sonny? If it's Lucas, wouldn't it be smarter to go to the cops and say "hey, I know you think that my dad's done this sort of thing before, and that's why you suspect him, but I'm the one who actually shot EJ"? If it's Sonny, wouldn't you just say "Sorry about your luck, but my kid comes first"? I thought I'd be happier about Will finally showing some backbone, but it's just got me mad at him!
  4. They've had 7 years to do that, though. As much as I would have liked Sami to take down EJ, it should have happened years ago. If it happens now, it will only be because AS and JS are leaving and that's a total cop out. Not that this show is above copping out, but it's a case of too little, too late for me when it comes to Sami.
  5. I liked EJ/Abby because it served the necessary (well, to me) purpose of knocking Sami Brady down a few pegs, but it's gone on far too long. As much as people complain about KM as an actress, I think JS is the worst acting offender in this storyline. Whether he's bored, hates the story, is confused by the direction, or if it's because his bad hair makes his bad acting harder to overlook these days, I think he's doing a terrible job. KM is trying, at least, even if her characterization is a little off.
  6. I somehow managed to get three episodes behind. I gather from the comments that I won't miss anything by skipping them!
  7. The Dimeras should have died along with Andre and Tony. Kristen came close, but she was ruined for me this last time back. Chad and EJ are completely unworthy of the Dimera legacy. Stick a fork in that family.
  8. Admittedly, I am a Nick fan, but the mild nature of his demands is a big reason why I don't see him as the terrible guy that others do, and that the show is trying to portray him as. This kind of thing, and the virus with the goofy graphics that he gave to Kate, are just the type of things that the Original Fallonator would do--relatively harmless (again, relative to Salem misdeeds). I would have expected more malicious things from the homophobic stalker they turned him into. Post-prison Nick has been a failure as a character. Once again, the show goes out of its way to create a convoluted story, when there's a far better one that could basically write itself. Once the Jensen thing went down, it was just one missed opportunity after another. Instead of a thoughtful story of Nick getting help and everyone dealing with the fallout of his actions towards Will and Sonny (maybe even some divided family loyalties), we get this crap. While I still think he can come back from all of this, I'm sure a lot don't. If they insist on writing him like this, I hope that he does kill Gabi. At least then, something good can come from his character assassination.
  9. I think Gabi should have gone to Rafe in the first place. Nick's pretty much doing what I wanted him to do when he came back: giving Gabi a pass while being a pain to Kate and Sami, but it's dragged on for so long that it's not making sense, even by Salem standards. Rafe has an uncanny ability to make time pass even more slowly, so, at this point, I don't see how adding him to the mix could be a good thing. If he does get involved, I hope that he'd save some of that righteous indignation for Gabi, Kate and Sami, but I'm sure he'll focus all of it on Nick.
  10. I can only go so far when it comes to those leftover feelings, though. I adored and rooted for Sami back when she was a scheming teen (even with the bad acting), but somewhere beginning with Stan, it all went wrong. It wasn't until EJ came along that I completely turned on her, though. She's been insufferable since then.
  11. I agree. She annoys me these days, but I have enough residual good feelings towards her that the annoyance hasn't turned into full on hate. It's why I still love Julie, who's been reduced to a shrieking harpy. I hate what the show has done to the Hortons.
  12. Given the title of the thread, I guess this is as good a place as any to admit my absolute love for the possession storyline! There were so many things wrong with it, but I loved the camp and the ridiculousness of it. I was the afternoon bartender at a sports-themed restaurant at the time, and I'd have it on one of the screens at the bar. When that story kicked in, my regular customers started watching (and laughing) along with me. We even had customers who'd schedule their lunch hour so they could come in and watch the show at the bar. Those few months were the most fun I've ever had watching the show.
  13. I'm looking forward to a nice, uneventful wedding for Will and Sonny. They still bore me, but I'm a little swayed by all the warm and fuzzies stemming from all of this cast interaction the past few days. Speaking of weddings, aside from Abby, is there anyone in Salem that Eric *can* marry in the Church?
  14. Creeping over from TWOP. I have no one in real life to snark on this show with, so glad I can continue here! The show is at such a low point right now. Whatever else one could say about over the top stories in the past (Possessed Marlena, I'm looking at you), they were at least entertaining. I'm holding on to hope that once all of the current stories are resolved, something will come along to hold my interest again! If that happens to coincide with more Kayla, I certainly will not be complaining.
