I'm not saying it's not true as far as what TVWatchtower said but she went after a fandom that I was on the edges of last year. She made up lies about the fans and started a very public and personal feud based on those lies, so until I actually hear what SA said, I will be very cautious of taking her word for anything especially since two sources are saying Felicity is his girl this year/Season 3.

Just to add to what ArrowLimbo said about there being too much Olicity in the trailer. The trailer is 2 minutes and 29 seconds long. Out of those 1 minute exactly is spent on clips from last season Leaving 1 minute and 29 seconds of new content. Felicity is in those scenes for 15 seconds (Not talking- just on screen- during the QC board meeting and when Ray Palmer makes his entrance) 8 of those 15 seconds could be considered an Olicity scene. (Oliver asking her out, date, and injuries) In those scenes she has one line of dialogue. "Where were you?" 3 words and a head nod. That's it for her scenes For comparison Sara is on screen for 9 seconds during which she is either fighting or talking. She has a cute tag line about the "We are not our masks and we need people in our lives who don't wear them" and "Don't look so surprised, I wasn't gone that long." I just don't see where Olicity or Felicity took over that trailer?

IA I thought the casino stuff was the hints to her back story there have been a couple, the casino scene where she says "How do you call yourself a casino with no lucky sevens. I'll have a stack of high society (large denomination chips)" and once at QC when she says, "good news or bad news first? I suggest the good news, tends to soften the blow of the bad news" Oliver gives her a look and she replies "okay, dealers choice" ETA: Sara hits a guy with a suit on and then the scene cuts and it looks like the person wearing the hood is Roy, I slowed it down and she isn't hitting the guy in the hood. The scene before that shows Oliver fighting a guy in a suit jacket. So I'm guessing Roy and Oliver are on a roof fighting suit guy and Sara shows up to help out. This Roy/Ray thing is going to mess me up so bad.

I'm really hoping the show gives Felicity and Diggle code names and the Oracle is Felicity's since it drives me crazy that they are using their real names over very hack-able com links. Especially since Diggle is his real last name and not that hard to track down if someone like the Clock King wants to.

Is there an Arrow conspiracy theorists corner here? I think I need to be seated in it.

ITA I would actually be really happy if that was the direction they were going. Using inter personal relationships to slow the plot down in those scenes and allow their actors to have fully developed character beats. The zooming through plot is an interesting story technique that gives the actions scenes power but if they don't slow down and let us get good character scenes Arrow is never going to get out from under being a "comic book" show. This is now the third season we really need well rounded characters that are all developed and I hope your right and that's what SA meant about intimate. They had a few moments like that at the very end of the season when Roy was reading Thea's note, Felicity and Oliver in the clock tower but just as many missed chances. I hate that we never had a scene where Oliver and Felicity talk about her telling him the truth about Thea's parentage and I hate that we never had a moment where Moira realized she shot Oliver. If they could just do a more consistent job of that I would be thrilled.

My biggest fear going into this season was that the EPs really didn't know what made Laurel's character a problem. That they really believe the only reason people don't want Laurel as BC is because of Olicity and to fix that they were going to go all in on Oliver and Felicity and then put Laurel everywhere else. The one thing I was holding on to was that Oliver said the "it started with the three of us" line and she would not be told the address to the new Arrowcave. Damn. i'm not proud of this but I'm probably one of the few people that are just not open to liking Laurel. Between the interviews KC has given and what the writers have established her character to be on the show my dislike of her is firm. This season I'll be able to add friendships to things Laurel gets that are unearned. Ugh. On a less annoyed note... wonder if Oliver helps Roy lace up his costume. ;D

I'm only going to post the part of the article that talks about what role Felicity will play in Episode 4 of the Flash but I'll post the link for the source. http://flashtvnews.com/arrows-felicity-smoak-to-appear-in-flash-episode-4-going-rogue/ They still sound like they are going to keep using Felicity for exposition and like they said the glue between the two shows. I'm excited about Felicity's backstory, front story, future story, I don't care just give me info on her other than one line throw away info drops. And the way I look at it they almost have to give her a back story since everyone literally everyone else has had flashbacks. If they don't do a flash back for her she would almost seem like she wasn't on equal footing with the others.

It confuses me when people worry about the romance taking over the show, even in the most heavily romance arced episodes the actual time spent on the love story beats is always under 10 minutes at most. So even with commercials that's still well over 30 minutes of the show devoted to things other than the romance. Olicity fandom was a force by the time season 2 started and the writers have always managed to keep a tight hold on their story so far. Could that change in up coming seasons? Of course but that's a failure of the writers and show runners not the people watching it and getting excited over the romance. The spoilers that are leaked to the press are designed to get people talking and excited about next season, they are given to feed the buzz beast and with Arrow the part of the fandom that generates the most talk is the Olicity fans, so that is what they are feeding. Just reading the response Matt from tv line gave about the person asking about Felicity story, his inbox was full of people asking about the date. Media sites want page views, producers want excitement and shippers want news it's just a mutual back scratching using spoilers. But Arrow the show hasn't shown any indications of giving over large story arcs of their show to a romance. So I wouldn't let the type of spoilers being released effect my interest in the show. At this stage it is just PR. There are two problems that I see setting up Felicity friendships with anyone, male or female. 1) I don't think Felicity would be happy in any relationship where she has to lie to someone everyday. Oliver is the king of compartmentalizations but Felicity isn't. She's not a natural liar (ie questioned by Det. Lance) so in order for her to be happy, and that is my number one concern for her, the person has to be in the know about who she works for and what she does in her "night job". And 2) all roads have to lead back to Oliver for this show. The only person who got a stand alone friend was Laurel with Joanna and the writers quickly wrote her off when they ditched the Lauliver stuff in s1 because Joanna never had enough to do in the show. The same for Carly. Even Layla is useful to Oliver for her argus connection. And that's not even including my personal list which includes has not seen Oliver naked., age appropriate, with common interest. When you start putting those kinda limits on a character even before they are written it makes it really hard to have a viable friendship for Felicity that is all about her and I think why we are getting multipurpose love interests and I'm okay with that because multi-use characters arent just about roadblocks.

I don't think we'll get Oliver and Diggle fighting over Digg wanting to spend more time with the kid and Lyla, I think it will be the opposite. Oliver keeps trying to send Digg home or sideline him to protect him. Diggle will catch on and conflict will ensue, Digg will make the argument that the work he does on Team Arrow is important and helps keep his family safe. Oliver will be on the side that you can't have it all, that you can't fight by my side because if something happens to you how could I explain that to your kid. I think this season will just be a lot of compare and contrast moments. And the Digg/Oliver conflict over the kid needs to get Oliver to a place where he sees he can have some role in his kids life, hopefully that role will Be off screen and rarely mentioned.

Honestly I don't think they want to add more kickass woman around Laurel. Every time they do it reflects badly on Laurel and her lack of kick assery. Thanks to everyone finding all these great spoilers. I am getting a little nervous with how many new people are coming in and the Flash crossovers, this is how they went off the rails last year. To big of a cast, to many people needing development, and trying to build to the end without setting up the foundation. I'm still clinging to SA's this season will be more intimate.

How is him catching criminals and her putting them away even going to work? Oliver: "So Laurel I caught this bad guy with no arrest warrant, no admissible evidence, no eye witness except for me and I can't testify, and no real proof of wrong doing. Also I kinda shot him with an arrow to get a confession out of him. " Laurel, "No problem, I'm a horrible lawyer but I got this." I guess it is the best we could have hoped for, at least it doesn't mention her training.
-
If they try to prop up laurel by making here Felicity's friend it could end up being tragically hysterical or painfully horrible, I'm about 50/50 on that. Really hoping there was suppose to be a period in that sentence. We have really great things planned for Laurel. And Felicity. I will send Laxative brownies to the writers if I have to hear Laurel give Oliver and Felicity relationship advice.

@Starfish35 I hear what you are saying the best way I can describe it is if your parents favor your younger sibling over you. You should resent you parents (the writers) for showing favoritism but you really just end up annoyed with your sibling (Sara). Not the best analogy but the closest I could get. For me I would be sad if Sara died but I've always believed that you can't tell a respectable origin story for two superheroes in one show and do them both justice unless you change the focus of the show from a single protagonist to an ensemble show. At the end of the day it comes down to, for me, the writers lost my faith that they can write well for more than one female character at a time and these spoilers are not changing that opinion. YMMV of course.

For me not liking Sara by the end of S2 didn't have anything to do with shipping. I was actually... Ambivilant to that relationship. The last thing I want is for O/F's relationship to be rushed so I, personally, like road blocks. Oliver is the protagonist so I expect the majority of the story to be about him or having subplots impact other character so that in the end it moves Oliver. What I was not expecting was a guest star to get so much screen time that characters I care about get sidelined for 7 episodes. Like others said above Sara was everywhere at once. Island, Arrowcave, fight scenes, Lance Drama, Verdant, With Quentin, Slade, Submarine, Amazo, BOP, Sin, Team Arrow Jr, and LI. And IMO she wasn't given a compelling story. The beginning of S2 where she was beating up mysoginist criminals and watching over Laurel and helping Oliver that was good story. By end she was just a mess. Going from wanting to die before she killed again to happy to return to the LOA. All of that while my favorite character was left with 3 lines about her background made me resent Sara. Add in the Arrow PR being aware enough of the strength of the Olicity fan base to tease us with promos (sometimes literally featuring the only scene Felicity was in) did feel like bait and switch. And I think that's why I'm more annoyed with today's spoilers than anything else we have gotten. They lead with Olicity and than gave an episode title to a Lance. I am not here for another season of Felicity or Diggle crumbs.

I don't think they would kill off Sara that soon in s3 and naming the episode after her is a pretty big tell to give away in July. With Sara's death you lose LOA and Nyssa story potential. It makes more sense to kill her at the end of S3 and have Laurel leave with Nyssa for the 5 month hiatus to train so she can avenge Sara. Or to kill Nyssa and give Ra's a reason to want Oliver dead. There was a line in S2 where Oliver tells Diggle that if Sara kills Nyssa then Ra's would kill them all or something to that effect. I always thought that was foreshadowing. I just really don't want multiple Lances taking over the story like they did at the end of S2. One or two of them in the arrow cave, in flashbacks, in the fight for QC story, in the actions scenes. I can't take that again. Ah maybe Sara comes back to tell laurel she needs her jacket back. *g*

I like your idea with the dream. If the audience is made aware that Oliver is hallucinating asking Felicity out on a date and in his hallucination something goes wrong that could get him back on the life he leads nonsense. I could live with that Felicity isn't emotionally hurt, the viewers are clued into real feelings and Oliver goes back to his only successful relationship, the salamon ladder and Felicity goes to Ray. That last line of the interview though says they will be dealing with those 3 questions this season means Olicity is going to be an arc for the full season. So that's exciting.
-
One of the EPs gave an interview right after the finale that said this villain will be different because he won't be omni-present like Slade. So if we are seeing this villain in flashbacks my guess is he will be in Sara's past. Which could mean Ra's. So help me I will flip a lid if I have to sit through more Laurel fb before I get Felicity's backstory. The only way they can go with drug made me do it date invite IMO is if Oliver asks Felicity and tells her why he was holding back and Felicity, knowing Oliver is drugged doesn't tell him what he says when he finally wakes up. They can then reset the relationship but she will know 1.) yes he has feelings for her but 2.) he is not ready to act on them and Felicity moves forward thinking he will never be ready. That would play back to EBR's comment about this being Oliver's battle and Felicity isn't going to wait around for him to come to his senses. Otherwise it's just another fake out on top of a fake out and boy will the writers be sorry for yanking on the fandom tail again.

According to the Flash pilot Central City is 600 miles from Starling City that's almost like driving from Washington DC to New York twice round trip each way. The logistics alone of having 2 characters date on one show an the other character react to it on his show is impossible to wrap my mind around. And with the distance the only way to do that is to have Felicity leave Starling and the writers are not letting their cash cow wander away from Arrow unless the Flash bombs. I wouldn't believe this at all.

I really would not put much trust in spoilers from Kristin De Santo on E. She has a history of using old quotes and cutting them in new ways to generate buzz on her page. This spoiler screams last season when the B/F/O triangle was being hinted at.

I did the same. Polled my husband and his friends. I got the yes to two girls or twins at once in their teenage years too but that was with both girls being in the same bed. Not bed hopping from one to the other. They all said the sister stuff was a definite no unless you are into the thrill of sneaking around, then that might appeal because it would add another level to the danger but they said that even if they were into both sisters you don't do that because you could destroy a family. Just guessing but I think it was just a poorly thought out plot point on the EPs part. They never thought people would be that bothered by the cheating with a sister more than just the cheating. They never thought how that would reflect back on Laurel or Oliver or their relationship in the future. They were trying to make a point that Oliver pre-island was a dick that cheated often. In their minds he would come back and save Laurel as the Hood, love her as Oliver and the Hood and she would forgive him. In fact, during my S1 rewatch I noticed that a LOT of the times that Laurel and Oliver either talk seriously about their relationship or have some kind of physical intimacy it is right after one of them brings up Sara. Its just creepy. It was a huge miscalculation that with or without Felicity would have needed to be fixed in the future. But instead of fixing it they double down. And now imo it is unfixable, I don't even want them as friends, they just need to move on away from each other maybe every so often send an email. For Oliver it really doesn't make any sense that he would go that route (unless he wanted Sara) because we've never been shown that Laurel controlled him and that is cowardly way to confront a problem more likely to be done by someone very submissive to someone very dominate. If anything she bent over backwards to forgive his playboy ways. Hand waving past cheating, drinking, drugs, arrests, court appearances, and dropping out of colleges. If he didn't want to move in with her I can't imagine Oliver not being able to make excuses and ignore her hints and just go about his party ways. The sleeping with your sister isn't a "let's put the brakes on this relationship" it is a "let me plant this huge bomb in our relationship and blow it up forever."

Oliver hooking back up with Sara was just one more nail in the Laurel/Oliver coffin for me. It was bad but there were so many another story beats that were cringe worthy when it comes to those two. Having to be introduced to a "love story" that starts with, "about that time I cheated on you with your sister", to walking around bragging with Tommy about all the girls they use to hook up including Max Stanfields fiancé at the rehearsal dinner, to telling McKenna that he dated the sister of the DJ, to hooking back up right after Tommy to, my personal most disgusting, cuddling on Laurel's lap while he was upset about getting a random girl pregnant and then icing that cake with one more round of sister swaps. I've never seen a attempt at a OTP that was so toxic. It destroys her character for wanting to be with him again and his for being so horrible. I'm willing to forgive a lot from him because of what happened to him but watch how fast I would run from this show if he pulled any of the above with Felicity if/when they get together. Which is probably why I'm so completely confused by the few people who do ship Laurel and Oliver. At least we see Oliver moving forward from Laurel and trying to start other relationships, the writers are getting dangerously close to further assassinating Laurel's character (and that's saying something) by having her jump at him every time he's available. (After Tommy, when he walks her home, the I know you in my bones). I'd like to say that their relationships proves that the EPs had/have a profound misunderstanding of what is acceptable in comics, especially 40 years of comics when their were a lot more misogynistic overtones to stories, vs what modern TV audiences are willing to put up with, but even after the backlash at the sister swapping instead of trying to play down Oliver's playboy/manwhore ways they keep right on piling on. So I don't know if the problem is they are trying to kill of Lauriver or their aren't enough women in the writers room with enough power to say, "No!" or they truly believe they can save that mess of a relationship in the end. But they keep digging the grave for Lauriver deeper and deeper and Sara was just a few more shovelfuls.

IMDB list Atlin as KC and CL stunt double. I can't imagine they would have Laurel show up wearing her sisters costume. How not to make anyone like a character 101. Have her be pathetic by dying her hair, wearing the clothes, and taking over the role of her sister. Laurel already has little to no self identity in the show if they just made her CL but as KC it would be so much worse. Nothing earned and everything stolen to prop her up. Although if that is CL and I think it is, maybe when KC tweeted out that 3.01 script was a "page turner" it was meant sarcastically. She's been on a one woman campaign all summer to promote herself as BC and Oliver's one and only and then in episode one they bring back CL as the canary and Felicity as the love interest going on a date; face plant out of the starting gates.

It is the same peek-a-boo dress she wore last season but in purple (IIRC not the first time she has worn the same outfit twice but in different colors). The photo was taken by a paparazzi an hour ago at BC place in Vancouver. The Arrow crew is now moving to do a roof top night shoot, so hopefully more pics from that. Also Ray is suppose to be there tonight.
