The hysterical Real Housewife broke down in tears and went into full meltdown as observers revealed she bolted from the room where Dr Phil had offered to help place her in a top treatment program. But Richards apparently snubbed Dr Phil's offer of help as eyewitnesses in the hallway heard her scream 'F***', and other obscenities when she ran out of the room and down the hall. ---- Three of Richards' children, Brooke, 29, Chad, 22 and Kimberly, 20, who were there to support their mother, were shell-shocked by their mom's outburst, struggling to control their emotions as she left the explosive interview. ---- Daily Mail Online can reveal that when Richards fled from the room, the star's son Chad was overheard talking to his mom pleading with her to go in to rehab. He revealed the star is battling more demons, including taking pills and smoking pot on top of her relapse into drinking. An eyewitness at the hotel told Daily Mail Online: 'Kim insisted that any program had to fit her needs, saying she wouldn't go out of state, wanted to do a 30-day not 60-day program, didn't want to miss her daughter Brooke's wedding in May and was worried about being away from Monty.' ---- Elder sister Kathy Hilton was also there. ---- Richards' daughter Brooke ran after her mom after she exited and they were heard arguing. Richards told her daughter: 'I'm not going down there, I'm not going for three months and I'm not going to miss your wedding.' But Brooke asked her mom to please work the program. She was overheard to say it's on the beach, it's local and she would be able to go to Brooke's wedding. 'What's the big deal?, ' Brooke yelled. 'Why do you have to be so f***ing picky, just go get the help you need. You have to do this mom.' But Richards insisted she's happy to see her own doctor and therapist. She hit back telling Brooke was making her anxious. 'I'm not going back in there, I'm done.' She said she whatever she did would be with her family. 'I'm not drinking every day,' she was overheard to shout. Brooke was followed to the hotel suite by her siblings Kimberley and Chad. ---- 'The children urged their mom to return to the interview, but she wouldn't budge,' said the eyewitness. 'Kim was furious. She had a complete melt down' This outburst was followed by Chad unwittingly revealing further demons his mom is battling. He told his mom that while she he wasn't saying she was drinking every day she was still drinking once in a while - and taking pills and smoking pot.

There's a video and it looks like Kathy, Chad and the woman that manages Kyle and Kim are present. The article mentions Brooke being there. It says three of her children so that means that Whitney or Kimberly was present too. ETA: OK I read more and it says, "Three of Richards' children, Brooke, 29, Chad, 22 and Kimberly, 20, who were there to support their mother..."

Brandi is lying off the bat when she said, "they had the best ratings ever," season 5 barely edged out season 4 and season 4 was the lowest rated season of the series. My take is that I don't see Kim and Brandi as a package deal and think that Brandi is more vulnerable because other key cast members want nothing to do with her. From the Season 5: Days of Real Housewives Lives - The Season in Review thread: Most of the info I've gathered was from the show, but also from social and regular media and inferences made. Early in season 2 Kim mentioned that she and John split custody of Kim, IIRC she said that it was an alternate weeks arrangement. During the season Kim moved in with Ken and fell off the wagon, or, if you assume she was never on the wagon, her drinking/using became more intense and problematic. Kim boo-hooed to Kyle something to the effect that falling in love cost her her kids, and then went on to say that Chad, who happened to be dating Ken's daughter,* was OK with the relationship but her daughters were not, and I wouldn't be surprised of Kimberly started living with her father more than half-time. A few months later Kim and Ken broke up which left her "homeless" and Kim went to rehab and certainly by then Kimberly was living with her father full-time. From the looks of it Kim and Kimberly reconciled after Kim's rehab stint and became close again, by now Kimberly was an upperclassman in high school and presumably still went to school in her father's neighborhood (mentioned in season one), so I would not be shocked if she continued to live primarily with her father, especially during the school year when she was still in high school, but also spent time with Kim, IIRC she was the one sick in bed when Kyle visited. * not discussed on the show.

There are different versions even from the BHPD, the written statement matches what you are saying but there was a briefing from a BHPD official that says the cops let her go to the bathroom. I'm inclined to believe the written version.

I doubt if they are the SAME inside sources. My take on RH related Radar Online stories are that some are hooey, some are "take to the bank" true, and some are more true than not with the untrue parts being mostly due to the "telephone" effect plus Radar's tendency to give stories a hyperbolic slant. I agree that Kim is not THE star for the network and (arguably) not the star of RHoBH but she is still a cast member on Bravo's second or third highest rated show and as such is worthy of an emergency meeting. I am not saying that people cancelled vacations and were flown across the country, but it's not hard for me to believe that the relevant people in the office that day gathered in a conference room to discuss the matter. I don't think that there is a rush other than how to deal with the media, even if it is to order people not to talk about the matter in any official capacity. And once again, I think that discussions about "the talent" and casting are ongoing, so it is not hard for me to believe that there would be a briefing/update on something like the response to Kim's behavior about the dog bite. The way it worked out last time was high ratings and cult status. And let's be very clear about how the cast and TPTB hoped this season will play out. Prior to the premiere Andy Cohen, Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards were going around discussing how season 5 was one of the best/the best season ever, and they were not saying that because of yacht trips and a HW being awarded a star on some random Walk of Fame, they were referring to Kim's relapse and the fallout from it. I remember Kyle, Brandi and I am pretty sure Lisa telling people, probably Twitter followers, to hang on just a little longer because the season was going to take off and they were basically counting down to the Poker Night episode. I don't think that Kim has been "given chances" out of benevolence or Kyle throwing her weight around, I think that she pulls her weight even in ways that don't seem that dramatic. Before people knew about Kingsley's aggression issues, Kim and Kingsley were a topic of discussion when most people believed that he was an energetic dog that Kim was not equipped to handle. People talked more about Kim and Kingsley than Lisa Vanderpump making a site visit to one of her businesses. Again I don't consider Kim the star but she isn't deadweight either. I am not trying to argue that Bravo and Evolution were thrown into a tizzy because Kim Richards got a drunk and disorderly charge. But again, casting and dealing with talent is an ongoing thing and I do think that Kim's arrest is a significant occurrence and will be incorporated as one of the factors in how they plan to proceed for next season, whether it is used as a cudgel to get Kim in line, assuming that she's considered a problem employee, or that they planned on not having her back and now have information that she may be in a bad place with the media / public is following her situation, and TPTB want to make sure that they handle the situation with care.

I certainly take tabloid stories with a grain of salt and think the TMZ story about what circumstances led to Kim ending up at The Polo Lounge was a bunch of hooey, my guess is that the source wasn't even Brandi, rather it was her goofball ghostwriter. On the one hand I think that when there is a hot story and a tabloid wants clicks that they will run with a story even from sketchy sources, however ROL has inside sources when it comes to Real Housewives - the descriptors for the story about the meetings were, "a source who works in production" and "the well-connected insider." I do side-eye that it was NBC-Universal execs that called an emergency meeting, but I can believe that higher ups at Bravo and/or Evolution held impromptu/emergency meetings - Kim is talent for Evolution's top show and Bravo's second or third highest rated show. Now my guess is that the main crux of the meetings were related to handling media inquiries, but I would not be shocked if they discussed her fate as well. The talent and their storylines / connections are the critical element in "assessing how the season went and what changes they'd like to make," so Kim and her fellow castmates are / have been under discussion, which was the point I was making in my previous post. In Kim's case, I don't think that TPTB do "wait-and-see." If they have firmly decided they don't want her back, they may inform her management, or alternatively do like they did Camille after season two, tell her that they are casting and if they fill all the slots there will probably not be a spot for her in the upcoming season. However if they are interested in having her back but have concerns, TPTB may end up expressing those concerns and set some conditions that they want to have met, like rehab and/or a commitment from her to get therapy/join a program, before re-signing her.

Casting decisions/discussions are ongoing, they may not ink deals until right before filming starts but the discussions are happening well before them even if the talent is not directly involved.

I think that Yolanda and Brandi are closer to the chopping black than Kim, actually I waffle on Yolanda because if she can convince the producers that her Lyme Munchhausen Disease is / will be in remission for the filming months, she may keep her diamond, otherwise I think she will be demoted to Friend. With Brandi she's in jeopardy because Lisa V and Kyle are done with her, Eileen is too. Brandi will not be invited to Kyle's White Party, Lisa V's tea parties or restaurant openings or events sponsored by Eileen, so she is an island and does not even have family members to film with. With Kim, her castmates may find her exasperating and other unpleasant things, but I don't think people they are done with her like they are done with Brandi. If she and Eileen return they will have a sit down and agree to "move on" like what happened at the beginning of this season with Kyle and Lisa V, Yolanda and Lisa V and like what happened with Adrienne and Lisa V. a couple seasons ago, and from there she will show up and if she acts out she will not be handled with kid gloves like she has in the past. I think that losing three HWs in one shot may be a bigger risk than the show is willing to take especially given that the New York and New Jersey franchises took such big hits when they had cast turnovers of a similar magnitude.
