  1. I think the picture of the four couples is just awkwardly posed. There are eight people in the picture, and Ben and Derick are facing the same direction as each other, while the other six are all facing the opposite of Ben and Derick. I think it would have been better had all the couples been posed as Ben and Jessa are, with each husband/wife pair facing each other.
  2. The wedding invitation was posted on the Pickles and Ice Cream page on Facebook. The wedding is this Saturday, in Bentonville, Arkansas. I even went so far as to look up the church online, and there is a private wedding listed there for this Saturday. Wedding set-up at the church was scheduled for today, and the rehearsal/dinner is there Friday.
  3. I am giving Cathy a whole lot of slack as far as her dress. Jill and Derick became engaged in late March. They said that Cathy told her sons she had cancer on Easter, which was April 20 this year, so about three weeks after the engagement happened. Unless she had already been shopping for her dress before Easter, she was dealing with cancer treatments and trying to find a dress for the wedding at the same time. I thought she looked lovely and honestly didn't give the color a second thought.
  4. Cathy does look lovely. Isn't it likely, however, that her hair is actually a wig? I thought in the pictures they showed of Jill and Derick visiting her in the hospital the week before the wedding, Cathy was wearing a scarf or cap on her head, which makes me think she had lost her hair due to her treatment. Yet she still looks classier and more put-together than Michelle.
  5. Found this set of pictures on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.608060925969631.1073741845.272296026212791&type=1 I am guessing that Amy sang at the wedding. She can be seen in the rehearsal pics in front of the piano, holding a microphone.
  6. I thought I heard Jim Bob say that he and Michelle were married "over there" (referring to the sanctuary) and then mentioned that Jill was getting married in the auditorium. That's why it was a stage and not an altar. As for Erin Bates, they showed her playing piano as they went to a commercial right before the wedding started, and that music sounded pretty. The piano playing during the ceremony, though... not so much.
  7. No, after next week, it will be, "I'm married to Derick Dillard!"
  8. Goodwill is spelled correctly; wouldn't Goodwill be backwards in the picture if that were her right hand?
  9. Totally grossed out when watching Josie as everyone left to take Ben to his room in the "guest house." She had her face up against the window next to the door, with her mouth pressed against the glass, and you could see the drool running down the glass as she stepped away. Ewww. Ben is dumber than that tree they need to uproot.
  10. I loved Julia in the Miss Trial episode. JULIA: Alright, that's 7 to 4; who didn't vote? (woman raises hand) Well, Janice, what is the problem? Did you intend to mime your vote? JANICE: I'm just not comfortable making a decision yet. JULIA: I see. And yet you are perfectly comfortable smearing your face with white grease paint and annoying pedestrians all over Atlanta. Interesting. No really, Janice, I think it's time you came to a decision. As a matter of fact, I think it's time you all came to a decision. We've been here almost three days, and apparently you people have nothing better to do then to sit around here hogging up the tax payers' money, eating baskets of friend cheese, and staying at the Fair Price Motel. Which, I understand some of you think is the nicest place you've stayed in a while. (the "no-lip woman" fumes) Well, let me tell you something, it is not the nicest place I've been in a while. And for your further information, I'm having dinner with a former president and first lady of the United States tonight, because we are all going to be out of here. And the reason we're all going to be out of here, is that this case is very simple. Did any of you listen to the judge's instructions? He practically told us to acquit. The case is frivolous! The defendant was not negligent. Case closed! Q.E.D.! Over and out! Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more, no more! Go up to the table and mark your ballets, and if you don't mark them right, I'm going rip that fire extinguisher off the wall and blow your over-fed, under-read, simple- minded butts out onto the Fair Price Motel parking lot! NO-LIP WOMAN: I don't think jury members are supposed to threaten each other. I don't appreciate that. JULIA: Oh, really? Well, I don't appreciate you leaving you big 'ole box of June Allison bladder pads on my night stand for all the maids and bellboys to see! Of course, you don't care if you never get out of here; you don't even have to get up to go to the bathroom! Now, I am passing these slips for the final ballet, and I want to tell you right now, read my lips: Mark your slip wrong, and I will wrap it around a fried cheese ball and shove it down your throat!
  11. You can see a few pics of Kelly in that dress here (scroll down a bit): http://blog.thebatesfamily.com/2014/01/23/zach-whits-wedding-party/
  12. That is the same dress Kelly Bates wore to her son Zach's wedding. (Not saying Michelle is wearing Kelly's actual dress, but she is wearing a duplicate, although who knows, maybe it is Kelly's actual dress.) Kelly had a modest little triangle of fabric added to the v-neck; Michelle went way overboard.
  13. I'm not sure which child is by Jana's feet, but I am cracking up that she has one sandal on, one sandal off, and is showing off her underwear.
  14. I respectfully disagree that the dress you linked, Sewsumi (love the name), is Jill's. That dress is already plenty modest and has a higher neckline, plus cap sleeves. The article says they added more fabric to the neckline and added cap sleeves, which that dress already has. If anything, the dress linked would have to have parts of the sleeve removed to make the sleeves as short as the ones on Jill's dress. Before you posted that link, I actually thought this dress might have been Jill's, once cap sleeves and a higher neckline were added. http://www.allurebridals.com/products/2569
  15. I think the ties are mint, since we know that Jill's colors were mint and peach. I think they just look darker in the the pictures, especially in contrast to the gray, than they were in person.
  16. My college-age daughter is a violinist. She cannot stand to watch Michael Landon play the fiddle. Whenever I happen to catch an episode of Michael mangling the fiddle, I tape a snippet and send it to her. Comedy gold.
