  1. So, is Jax acting all weird because he was the one who arranged this poor girl's kidney being stolen? Did I miss something? (Likely, given how I rarely pay full attention).
  2. Well, I checked in and Hathaway (and, the actor) is still (again, this season) like a blank space of zero-ness for me. Just no there there. No emotion, no real acting, nothing. But, then I have felt that way about the character/actor since forever. I was a rabid Morse fan and never the craziest about Lewis but at least he has a personality, whether it grates on me at times or not. I just wish when they decided on this show 10 years ago that they had chosen a different actor for Hathaway - as it is, his scenes bore me so much I end up losing the storyline along the way. A more charismatic (or one with any charisma at all) would have likely kept my attention - But, I'll watch to the end. I do hope they all come out unscathed.
  3. Guess Joss is a "my way or the highway" sort - she is completely intolerable and annoying. Liked her the first year - but now the entire show is just so miserable and depressing. They could throw in a tiny bit of fun stuff or even, heaven forbid, a bit of humor - I'm out.
  4. Does anyone ever act like that when being held hostage at gunpoint? Jesus - what a bunch of dimwits - so badly written and directed and GF's hysteria at the end? Well, pretty funny.
  5. I'm still chuckling over the three of them acting like $6000 plus dollars is a huge amount of money; the way they were talking about it, it should have been at least $100,000 - For pete's sake, $6000 was a lot of money 50 years ago - but, today? Pffftttt.
  6. If you look at recent photos of Eric Milligan, you can see how different he looks now but who doesn't after so many years? I have to say I absolutely hate this storyline - I know it's silly but I just so much loved his character before he felt he needed to leave the show and so they cooked up that horrible story of him being a killer - and, now, this? Ick. As someone who works with people with disabilities, I am disappointed to see them taking the direction of Hodgins into being able to walk again. Not because I begrudge anyone that wonderful chance but because, overall, it is so unrealistic and it really takes so much work and emotional and physical effort for people to come to terms when they have suffered such an injury and have to adjust to the new limitations and realities in their lives - I would have much preferred they went down that road (just once in fiction they could do it!) - I should have known this show wouldn't do that though - but it is disappointing.
  7. Ric (or, Rick, whatever) looks great going natural with the grey; it doesn't work that well on everyone but on him, it works really well. So, I guess yesterday (Wed) was sexcapades day on GH? I haven't seen that much foolin' around on the show in one day in eons - too bad I am not interested in any of the "couples" I just knew they would find a way to keep the actor playing Carlos on given they have had him hovering around being an annoying ghost. But, if this version is as dull as he was today, bring back the psychopath - somehow. I don't care how - it's a soap; think of something.
  8. I love "Lewis" - always have from Morse days but I really don't like L. Fox as an actor. I find him as interesting as drying paint. It's not just the character, it's him as an actor, in everything I've seen him in. Looking forward to the new series - sorry to know it is the last but it has been a longer run that I thought they would have. And, yes, the two of them dressed like that in the canoe is pretty sweet -
  9. They should just make this thing with Alexis the beginning of menopause - not a ridiculous pregnancy. It's insulting to the audience - come on. MS as Nina is off the charts crazy and unwatchable for me - but then I have never been able to easily sit through MS scenes - she's just awful and it has always been a mystery to me how he gets acting gigs - Maybe she's related to someone? Must be some explanation because she is terrible in more ways than other bad actors are - it seems like there's not even a nanosecond of trying to make the behavior of the character fit with the scene and dialogue. She looked like a marionette yesterday with all the peculiar poses, leaning in to talk to whatshisname, etc - Ugh. I'm a little sorry Julian turned out to be a thoroughly bad guy because the actor can actually act as opposed to MB (Sonny) who - well, I don't know what he's doing - but, I hesitate to refer to it as "acting."
  10. I liked this show - but, I love the period pieces like this where there is none of the current technology with actors seen on their phones, tablets, etc etc etc which bores me to death. I also like they had Adelaide solve the reason for the deaths - a smart woman indeed. But, since I liked it, it probably won't return....sigh.
  11. Such a magnificent animal brought down by humans by them having put him out of his natural habitat - I too got teary eyed because killings of these gorgeous creatures are happening for sport. Ugh. I too liked Bright's reaction to it - he understood how tragic the entire situation was - I am glad they have changed up Bright the way they have - So, what's wrong with Thursday? I never want to see this series without him (RA) in it. No one else engages me as much as he does.
  12. I watched Morse - every one of them (some more than once) and I do not see this young man as Morse; people change as they age, yet, but turn into entirely different people? No. Is he still brilliant as an officer, yes. But, other than that - I am struggling to connect the two. I like the actor - I have only seen him in one other thing - but, what I don't care for is the tendency to so obviously enunciate every word. Maybe it is his natural way of speaking but it wasn't in what I saw him before. And, as I always feel, there is never enough RA - I also wish they would toss in just a wee bit of humor in this - not a lot but, come on, that's not an unusual thing to exist in the world of police - it's part of how they cope. I appreciate shows that inject some into their programs as it seems more real and, frankly, more enjoyable - for me. Oh well - I'm in as always for the MM series (except Wallender which, while beautiful to look at, was just so damn depressing at a time when I didn't need it) - I may return to it someday and watch this last season of it, but I doubt it.
  13. Did Julian set this all up to frame Alexis? Whose blood is on the knife? Maybe Ava and Nik were drugged - something put in their drinks plus jet lag? I am not interested enough in whatever is happening with them to really care - -
  14. I hate they are having Alexis being treated like a potentially abused wife by the creep - his behavior towards her the past few episodes is awful - classic abuser (and, yeah, I know, a murderer too but I hadn't expected they would turn him into this as well). Shouldn't be surprised though - these mob guys, Sonny included are all the same and for whatever reason and, Alexis who APPEARS to be a smart person, has been involved with both these goons. Way too many mob figures on this show - as ever. What is the whole Nina stuff? Can't even watch - just terrible (as usual) acting (or whatever it is) from MS. Felt second hand embarrassment watching her today - As to whatever the heck Finn is shooting up - I think the writers haven't been able to decide so they are drawing out this silliness.
  15. I'm pissy because that first episode was such a kicker and the next two seem so lifeless to me in comparison. I'm out but that's fine - Hope everyone keeps enjoying it!
